The phone turned off and sony xperia does not turn on. Why doesn't my Sony Xperia smartphone turn on?

There are situations when the Sony Xperia phone does not turn on. This means the smartphone unexpectedly turns off, reboots, or ignores pressing the On button. Let's take a closer look at this issue.

Causes and solutions to the problem:

  • The battery is broken or expired;
  • Mechanical damage;
  • The power button is broken;
  • Software error;
  • The charger is broken;
  • Recommendations from the service center.

The probable cause lies in the battery. This happens periodically with Sony Xperia phones. The battery may have long expired. If the battery is swollen and the smartphone does not turn on, then the problem lies in the electronics. Typically, the result of a breakdown is mechanical damage, moisture, or a short circuit. The way out is to replace the battery.

The headphone jack is located on a separate track with a light sensor - this sensor independently adjusts the brightness of the display and turns it off during a call. Our specialists will fix your pocket friend in a matter of minutes! One of the big design changes is the switch button. This is no longer a circle, but an expanded ellipse, including a fingerprint scanner.

The body is 7.3 mm thick and weighs 154 grams, while the previous one is 6.9 mm and 144 grams. The quality is very good and the screen can be used even if it is covered with water droplets. This, of course, does not apply to very complex problems. The test results are good, superior to those of its predecessor and slightly higher than those of major competitors.

Mechanical damage

Periodic shocks or falls of the smartphone lead to the fact that it does not turn on. However, this is the worst outcome that the device can expect. In addition, the normal use of a smartphone is questionable. Consequences of mechanical damage:

  • The display and phone case were broken;
  • Image distortion;
  • The speaker and microphone are out of order;
  • Sony Xperia phone won't charge;
  • The device is slow;

And this is only part of the possible consequences of mechanical shocks.

You can get 5 hours and a half to run the phone with a quick 10-minute recharge, but you'll need to get a dedicated charger. It is built into the power switch. What's impressive is that this button is off, and it's really very thin and much more ergonomic - your thumb falls right onto it when you pick up the phone, so you only have to press it, and at the same time the reader "reads" the lines of your thumb . All this happens very quickly and accurately.

To ensure it can recognize your finger every time, the system forces you to change your grip method during the registration process, recognizing that you haven't done so. It offers faster autofocus, which according to the company is 0.03 seconds thanks to its hybrid system.

The power button is broken

The simplest reason is that the power button is broken. This occurs due to mechanical damage or liquid entering the device. In one case or another, you will have to replace the key or have the phone diagnosed at a service center.

Software error

A software failure causes the Sony Xperia smartphone to work slowly, periodically reboot, or refuse to turn on. You just need to reinstall the software or return to factory settings. A sign of such a problem is that after turning on the smartphone freezes or constantly asks for a phone code.

Additionally, the camera provides the best results for low light conditions. These tools can be hidden on the side when not in use. In addition, the Quick Settings selection options have been improved so that the user can easily access the ones they use most often. The new glass backing and the addition of a fingerprint scanner in the thin power button clearly distinguishes the model from its competitors.

The camera is great, but the price is a little high for our market. On the right side of the frame there are buttons for power, sound control and for the camera. The number I had for this review is gold, but the model is still available in black and white.

The charger is broken

A common reason that a smartphone does not work is that the power cord socket is broken. Over time, the socket becomes loose, the contacts oxidize and practically do not conduct current.

It's easy to check if the charger is broken. Connect another charger to your Sony Xperia phone and if the charging process starts, it means it is working. The problem is solved by purchasing a new power supply.

There were no problems, but be aware that there is no residual liquid in the charging port before you plug them in. The camera is also launched from the locked screen by pressing and holding the hardware button, and you can capture it by making a semi-circle to focus the image and tapping it to take a photo. The presence of a hardware button is an excellent convenience for quickly launching and shooting the camera. You may want to remove your index finger from the left first since the camera sensor is near the edge of the phone and sometimes your finger can naturally fall there.

If your Sony Xperia won't turn on, the first thing you need to do is identify the true causes of the problem. It is difficult to carry out such a procedure on your own, so it is better to immediately contact the Service Center. Its employees are guaranteed to perform diagnostics on the day of your call. The repair procedure is carried out using special tools and professional equipment. A specialized quality control department tests the phone before returning it to the owner.

This is quickly corrected with slightly more shaky shots. Focusing is quick and, in addition to quick access, the very mechanical and software shooting aids are of a very good standard. By default, automatic mode is selected for selecting shooting options. The images are of high quality, but at times the colors are artificially saturated.

You can launch the most frequently used modes directly from the screen thanks to a special widget that you can customize. The worst part is when you have direct sunlight, in which case you can't see the image clearly without much strain. Otherwise, contrast and brightness are otherwise on point.

The Japanese company Sony has been a manufacturer of mobile phones for more than 15 years. For ten years she collaborated with the Swedish company Ericsson. But now the Japanese have taken the work process into their own hands completely. The company occupies a leading position in the market, their smartphones are of high quality and have their own, corporate style. But, like all equipment, smartphones fail over time.

The loudspeaker, although it produces good sound, is located in such a place that you can often cover it with your finger. Call quality is expected to be good without any interruptions or annoying noises, but the quality is good on the other hand. When the endurance mode is activated, the time can be increased up to 2-3 times with moderate consumption. This way you can get a much longer period of autonomy. As for the additional skull graphic above the commodity android, it is not one of the most intrusive on the market.

Sony Xperia does not turn on: possible reasons

In the left-to-right app view, you have submenus for managing and sorting apps. I didn't like the functional layout for dialing and searching for contacts, but of course it's highly subjective. The price of the free market varies significantly depending on online offers from 700 to 799 BGN. The frame is plastic, which I didn't like on first reading, but the good news is that the device feels like a solidly put together product in the hand.

The modern user, accustomed to constant communication, tries to find out and fix the breakdown as soon as possible. One of these problems that phone owners point out is when Sony Xperia won't turn on the first time. There can be many reasons for this, and in-depth diagnostics of the device will help determine them. Let's name some of them:

What to do if a Sony phone with a non-removable battery freezes

I don't like this solution either because the sound controllers are too mixed up. Colorful themes and beautiful wallpapers help make your eyes easier, and in Settings you can customize how much the display's colors are enhanced. If your eyes detect a bluish tint to the display, you can also change it with the white balance setting. The Japanese use a good set of icons and a rich but uniform color palette.

The phone manages to capture rich detail and colors look very vibrant and actually seem slightly enhanced. Switching between shooting modes is accompanied by a slight lag, which is extremely unpleasant for a high-end smartphone. However, the good news is the introduction of manual settings and the camera's quick start - 6 seconds by pressing the button next to the image, even when the camera is turned off. Also a new thing about the battery is smart charging, which learns the user's habits and thereby saves the battery.

  • the battery fails (the battery of your product has its own resource and loses its capabilities over time);
  • the power button fails (this could be due to contamination, mechanical damage, etc.);
  • Possible firmware failure (rare, but a problem that does occur);
  • failure of the power connector (charging does not occur).

There are other breakdowns as well. For example, your Sony Ericsson smartphone does not blink when turned on, but glows white. It happens that the device turns off and the battery does not charge when connected to the network. The cause of many breakdowns is the negligence of the owners themselves, who allow the device to fall or liquid to get into it. In this case, you should immediately contact an electronics repair center.

When the system "understands" that you are charging your smartphone at night and you usually get up after 8 hours, it will hold a standard charge up to 90% and will hold for up to 7 hours when it will continue to the remaining 100%. This protects the battery because it turns out that the device cannot remain on the charger once fully charged.

Cleaning includes deleting cache and deactivating unused applications. We provide not only classic service packages, but also loopholes that do not even provide services. For repair, we focus on mechanical damage and electrical parts damage.

What to do if Sony Xperia does not turn on

Let's consider a situation in which Sony Xperia won't turn on- what should be the first actions of the user. There is no need to try to disassemble the smartphone yourself and start repairing Sony, because without the necessary knowledge, you will only aggravate the breakdown. Only after a complete diagnosis will it become clear what to do to ensure that the repair is effective and of high quality. It is necessary to check whether the phone has been dropped or whether moisture or water has gotten into it. After this, connect the Sony Ericsson to a charger to test the battery.

The power button is broken

They are smartphones that don't want to compete, but want to keep up. In addition, most of the shortcomings of this model will be shared among all competitors in this category. But with waterproof design, great design, incredible display and smart software features, it is a hot favorite for the title.

Appearance and design - like a space odyssey

We can add larger size or a weaker battery to its disadvantages, but it will likely be common across all five smartphones. Clark and recalls the described black obelisk in the shape of a flat quorum, the appearance of “zeta” is a clear idea. Only the edges are slightly warped with some rum that surrounds the entire phone. This rope is actually a carpet quorum model, and the corner shapes of the phone are slightly blurred.

Malfunctions are also possible when the screen does not light up, or when Wi-Fi on your device does not turn on. In any case, it is not recommended to carry out repairs yourself without the appropriate qualifications. For this purpose, there are a large number of centers where professionals work and they will carry out high-quality repairs of your smartphone. Popular repair services include working with models:

The huge surfaces also contrast strongly with the thin profile of the instrument. In practice there is little need to know, but in photographs there will also be a dark blue color to the feathers. Our tested version is very susceptible to fingerprints. They will be sold in white and purple version, this may be better.

Although the phone's shapes are very simple, there are some surprisingly detailed details about the body. The most expressive is the button on the right side of the smartphone. Allow the switch key on the smartphone to be on the top side to ensure madness. On the right side, however, the button is very accessible. Below it is a hidden double key for adjusting the volume, which can be easily felt even blindly.

as well as an equally popular glass replacement service:

Sony's phone won't turn on? How to find a good service center in Kyiv

When the question arises of where to repair a smartphone, it is recommended to choose not a handicraft workshop, but a specialized service center where highly qualified specialists work. A reputable center differs from the above workshops by its high level of work with clients and the provision of a guarantee for its services. In this service, specialists will assist you in cases of this nature:

The battery is broken or expired

The presence of a cap is only detected by a small cluster, otherwise the material is identical to the whole body and the first view should not recognize the cap. The only significant part on the left is the two dock connector pins that buyers must purchase. In other details, we will still resemble a hidden eye in a diamond to place the tab in the bottom right corner of the phone.

We tested the waterproof test in the sink or "batting" the phone on snowshoes, always having absolutely no problems. First of all, the cage is overflowing with the fact that the phone will withstand any unwanted bath without being damaged by water destruction. For smooth operation with water, this is of course the ideal design of the entire phone. Not only is it very durable, but overall it feels durable. For example, the phone isn't too prone to scratches, which is a pleasant surprise due to its wide, flat, glossy flat surface.

  • Sony phone won't turn on;
  • the screen is broken;
  • turned off and does not respond to network connection;
  • there is no sound in the speaker;
  • Wi-Fi does not work;
  • software crashes occur;
  • red light flashes and much more.

In special centers, repairs will be carried out to a higher quality, in addition, diagnostics will be done free of charge. Professionals, such as UMT Service, having the widest selection of spare parts and high-precision equipment, will also provide you with the most favorable prices and comfortable service.

The phone is truly wonderful, and especially users with smaller hands are likely to have a phone call to trouble. But whoever is going to impose the features of the phone, they will soon leave with the worst ergonomics of the phone. It's a little worse with blacks and viewing angles, colors seem to fade slightly from the side. But these are just little catharsters in the abyss, who, however, are happy to spoil the guy.

I tried to update my smartphone according to the instructions. Before that I charged it completely. However, at some point during the update, the Sony PC Companion program stopped detecting my Sony Xperia S. The smartphone itself was turned off, did not respond to connecting/disconnecting the USB cable, and did not respond at all to pressing the on/off button (and indeed any buttons in general). . In addition, connecting the charger also did not lead to anything - the phone did not charge. I was even a little worried, because I didn’t want to hand over the device for repairs, or, in general, carry it somewhere and waste time on service. I decided to look for a solution myself. As usual, it turned out to be simple to the point of banality. It was necessary to remove the battery, wait a minute and insert it back. All that's left to do is take out the battery! (By the way, in some technical descriptions of the Sony Xperia S smartphone they write that the battery is non-removable. This is not true - it is simply located behind a protective cover. The smartphone is made waterproof).

Fig.1 With a slight movement of your fingers, slide the back panel up:

Under the panel you will find a protective cover that covers the electronic insides of the smartphone. To remove it, you need to unscrew 10 screws (marked in red in Fig. 2). Moreover, to unscrew some of them you will need a Phillips-head screwdriver, and for the rest - a clock screwdriver with a six-pointed star - TORX. Without the latter, it is better not to start disassembling the smartphone.

Fig.2 Click to enlarge:

After you unscrew these 10 screws, insert a slotted screwdriver into the small hole located to the right of the HDMI connector (see Fig. 3), and using a little force, pry the cover off.

Fig.3 Click to enlarge:

To finally remove this cover, use the technological protrusions (marked in blue in Fig. 2). Just be careful, they are easy to break. After the cover gives way, again, without any effort or jerking, lift it above the phone by two centimeters. The cable going from the board to the speaker in this cover will not allow you to do more. Don't break this train! The battery is now available for you to remove.

Take it out, wait a minute and put it back in place. Reassemble the smartphone in reverse order. When installing the protective cover, make sure that it fits tightly into place, with soft clicks around the entire perimeter. After this operation, my Sony Xperia S turned on and further updated to assembly 6.1.A.2.45 went smoothly.

P.S. For those who for some reason will not read all the comments left below, I will publish the solution from Evgenia, who wrote the following on January 16, 2013:

Press and hold the on/off button on top and the volume up key at the same time. The phone will turn on!

I also express my deep gratitude to the commentator Nastya, who left her review number 67 dated September 14, 2013. Thanks to her tip, I wrote an article about a wonderful utility from Sony for updating all existing phones and smartphones from this manufacturer: . Using this utility will help you independently solve many problems that arise with your Sony phone or smartphone.

The Xperia line of smartphones is rightfully considered one of the best in terms of battery life. However, sometimes their owners are faced with the fact that suddenly Sony Xperia does not turn on and does not charge without any prerequisites. What is the reason?

There may be several problems causing this type of malfunction. Each of them, one way or another, is connected to the power supply circuit of the smartphone. Practice has revealed the following possible causes of power problems:

Broken microUSB connector

The port responsible for connecting the smartphone and external devices via a USB cable may become loose or burn out, which prevents the device from charging. Repairing it yourself is quite difficult, since it requires a blowtorch. The safest thing to do is to take the gadget to a service center.

Battery fault

If, after disconnecting the smartphone and connecting it to the network, the charging process has begun, but the charge level remains in the same place for a long time, the battery has failed.

Most often, this problem occurs on Sony Xperia Z1 and Z2 phones. You can determine such a malfunction using a voltmeter: if the battery voltage is less than 3.7 V, it has some problems; if less than 2.7 V, it is faulty. The solution in this case is simple - purchase a new power source.

Disconnecting the battery cable

Lack of response to charging the device may be caused by the detachment of a special element connecting the battery and other components of the smartphone. If it is only slightly bent or comes off, you can try to straighten it or insert it into the port yourself using a thin plastic or wooden stick. If this does not help, you should contact the service.

A malfunctioning Sony Xperia does not mean it is completely broken. Power problems are usually not very serious and do not require a lot of time or money to fix.

The phone does not want to turn on or reboots at a time convenient only for it, the sound fails, and the software begins to fail more and more often?.. Well, in the near future, either you yourself will want to regain power over your device, or it will force you to do it. I don’t recommend going to the second option, because if you don’t prepare for this moment, you’ll have to say goodbye to a lot of data, contacts, and so on.

In any case, if the phone still turns on - save everything you can and wherever you can(priority, of course, is the memory card, contacts on the SIM card and cloud storage).

Have you saved or accepted the fact of data loss? Then let's continue and start with preparation - first of all this battery fully charged, since the reconfiguration procedures are very sensitive to a possible power outage, and possible interruptions can finally finish off the device, making it unsuitable even for further repairs. Then remove the battery from the smartphone for 20-30 seconds (if your model allows it).

Oddly enough, but even simply removing the battery can save you a lot of problems, so check how relevant it will be to do with your phone what we are planning in the continuation of this article.

Hard Reset. Factory reset

You can, of course, use a variety of programs to carry out this operation (it is advisable to download the native program from the manufacturer’s website PC Companion), but in my personal opinion, it is much more convenient to use direct access to the system, because this is a proven method that does not require wasted time installing software. In addition, it is universal for all models, and you will not need to look for an individual approach to a specific model.

If already at this stage you have doubts as a result of your actions, perhaps you should not continue further on your own, and you should contact the Ru Sony company, which repairs Sony smartphones. If not, continue reading and taking action, we will explain to you step by step the entire sequence of necessary procedures.

    We turn on the smartphone by simultaneously pressing the volume up key (depending on the model, try lowering the volume or even just holding down both volume keys) and the power button.

    Eventually (at first, this may take a few tries), you will be taken to the menu recovery. This is a bunch of inscriptions at the top of the screen, which is navigated using the sound buttons, and the on/off key will indicate confirmation of your choice.

    First of all, try selecting a section in the menu reboot and wait for Android to reboot. When reinstalling the system, never touch the phone, this will not lead to good.

    Reboot didn't help? If not, then activating the “Wipe data/factory reset” item will definitely help you out; after that, you may need to enable the “reboot” item again. Be a little patient with the process.

Let's summarize.

As a result, you get a pristine phone, just like when you bought it. All software on it will have to be reinstalled, but this is inevitable, which, by the way, can lead to good consequences (being aware of installing programs on a smartphone can save you from a lot of problems).

In this short instruction we will tell you what to do if your Sony Xperia does not turn on. We often receive messages from our readers that they have a problem with the performance of their smartphone or tablet, after which they can no longer start the device. The phone does not turn on or Sony Xperia freezes when turned on at the splash screen (boot animation). Most often, this is caused by operating system and software failures. Don’t panic ahead of time and carry out a series of simple steps to resuscitate your favorite smartphone.

To do this, we need a computer with official software installed on it - the PC Companion () program, which simply must be on the PC of any user of Sony Xperia smartphones. Now let’s move on to the step-by-step instructions (in the screenshots, red frames indicate what you need to click during the process).

  1. Launch PC Companion and select ‘Support Zone.
  2. Launch the ‘Software Update’ section
  3. Naturally, we did not connect the smartphone to the computer, and therefore a window will appear notifying you that the device was not found. There is a clickable inscription “phone/tablet recovery” - click on it.
  4. The next window will ask you to select the device you want to restore. If you have previously updated your smartphone via PC Companion, then it will probably remember the device, and it will appear in the list - select it and click ‘Next’. If you have not used the application yet or need to update some other model, for example a friend, then select the ‘Other phone/tablet’ item.
  5. Next, a series of windows will appear in front of you - they contain information about what you are actually doing. I recommend reading through it and clicking ‘Next’ (if necessary, check the confirmation box). We are waiting for the application to prepare everything necessary for recovery.

  6. If you selected ‘Other phone/tablet’ in step 4, the following window will appear with a list of all models in the line. In this list you need to find and select the model of smartphone or tablet that you are restoring. Please note that you need to choose a specific model with its specific model number, for example, if you have a Sony Xperia Z2 D6502, then you need to choose a Sony Xperia Z2 D6502, and not a D6503 or D6463! If you selected a specific model, then you skip this point - the following window will immediately appear.
  7. It's time to connect your smartphone. Connect the USB to your computer, then press and hold the volume down button on your smartphone and only then plug the USB cable into it!
  8. After these steps, the program will detect the device and begin restoring it. If it does not automatically proceed to the next step, you can try simultaneously holding down the power and volume up buttons for 10 seconds until three vibrations occur and then repeat step 7.
  9. Once complete, you will be notified that the update is complete. We turn off the smartphone, launch it and rejoice! Please note that all data from the smartphone’s memory will be deleted. Also, the first download can be quite long.
