However, there are situations when you really want to change the boot method of Windows 7. For example, when working with, you may need a program such as ReadyDriverPlus. Show hidden folders and files
This recipe is well known to many Windows 7 users, but it will not be superfluous to remind about it again. By default, in Windows 7, system files and folders are hidden - it is understandable, well, who needs some kind of kettle to climb where it is not necessary and ruin everything it could? However, files and folders are hidden very close.
- First select the command Start> Computer and go to the C: drive in the window that opens.

to display the top menu bar. In this panel, select the command Tools> Folder Options... A window will open Folders settings in which go to the tab View. - There are two things to do in this tab:
- uncheck the box Hide protected system files;
- select switch Show hidden files, folders and drives.
Now Windows does not have a single folder or file hidden from your eyes. Go to the C: drive. Now it has a bunch of hidden folders that you better not mess with!

Calm down - we'll find it now. Since it is not in hidden folders, it means it is hiding ... in a hidden section of Windows 7. The evil chebureks from Microsoft hid this section from us, but we will now fix it. The partition is only 100 MB in size, and you can find it as follows.

This section is hidden and not visible. To bring it to the light of day, right-click on the section and select the command Change drive letter or drive path.
A new window will open in which click on the button Add and choose a free drive letter like Y: or whatever.

Let's start by attaching the Windows 7 ISO to a virtual drive.
Then we create a folder on the hard disk with a simple name " 7 "and copy the contents of the Windows 7 ISO image into this folder. I will create a folder 7 on disk (D :).
Any Windows 7 ISO image has an image file in it install.wim which is located in the folder sources, this image contains the compressed installation files of the operating system.
There can be several operating systems in the image, and each has its own index. In order to find out how many systems are in the install.wim image and what indexes they have, open a command line and enter the command:
Dism / Get-WimInfo / WimFile: D: \ 7 \ sources\ install.wim
As you can see, the install.wim image file contains all editions of the Windows 7 operating system: Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate. For example, we export from this image Windows 7 Ultimate (Maximum), has index: 4.
The next command is to export the Windows 7 Ultimate image from the WIM file (index: 4)to disk (D :) to folder 7.
Dism / Export-Image /SourceImageFile:D:\7\sources\install.wim / SourceIndex: 4 /DestinationImageFile:D:\7\install.wim / Compress: maximum

Parameter / Compress specifies the type of compression, and the parameter maximum provides the maximum compression ratio for the image.
On disk (D :), in folder 7, a WIM image file was created that contains the installation files of only one edition Windows 7 Ultimate (Ultimate),
check the image with the command:
Dism / Get-WimInfo /WimFile:D:\7\install.wim
As you can see, the image contains one edition of Windows 7 - Ultimate.
Move the install.wim file to the sources folder of the Windows 7 distribution.
Replace the file in the destination folder.
The install.wim file has been moved to the sources folder of the Windows 7 distribution.
Go to the sources folder, find and open the file ei.cfg , change its content and save.
We just have to build the Windows 7 Ultimate ISO with the new WIM file. You can do this with the paid UltraISO program, but today we are working with you in a free command line, so we download and install the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK).

name the ISO image Windows7Ultimate.iso
A Windows 7 Ultimate ISO is created on disk (D :) with the name Windows7Ultimate.iso

Writing about something new is, of course, very useful and interesting, but today I want to sort of summarize on such a very important issue as installation (reinstallation) of the operating system, and more specifically, the systems Windows 7 and Windows XP.
The process of installing Windows can be described in one article, and I did it, but I also looked at the articles that in one way or another relate to the installation of the operating system, and realized that it would be nice to write an article in which to lay out all these articles in stages and write to him a small comment, which actually now I will do.
