It may seem to some that the replacement of postal locks is not the most demanded service in modern world. Say, the time of hooligans, who "having nothing to do" opened mailboxes in the entrances, has long passed.
No one sends money in envelopes with letters anymore. Few people subscribe to cult expensive magazines. But the tenants of high-rise buildings, as practice shows, constantly need to replace the mailbox lock. How it happens now and tell.

Do you need to replace the lock in the mailbox at the entrance?

Configure the program using the IMAP protocol

When using the protocol IMAP mail the program is synchronized with the server and saves the folder structure of your mailbox. The letters sent by you through the mail program will be stored not only on the computer, but also on the server, and you will be able to access them from various devices.

Before configuring the mail program, enable the IMAP protocol:

To configure a mail program using the IMAP protocol, you must specify the following data:

Support for the IMAP protocol will be enabled automatically upon first authorization in the mail program.

When using the POP3 protocol, all messages from the folders that you specify in the menu Setting → Email programs, will be saved by the mail program to your computer in the Inbox folder. If necessary, you can set up filters in your mail program to automatically move messages to desired folders. The emails you send will only be stored on your computer.

Note. When downloading emails from a server using the POP3 protocol, Yandex.Mail automatically saves copies of emails on the server, but you can delete emails manually using the web interface. If you want to delete emails with a mail program, use the IMAP protocol.

Before setting up the mail program, enable the POP3 protocol:

To configure a mail program using the POP3 protocol, you must specify the following data:

To access the mail server, enter your Yandex username and password (or if you included two-factor authentication) . If you are setting up receiving mail from a mailbox of the form " [email protected]en », the login is the part of the address before the "@" sign. If you use , you must specify the full address of the mailbox as a login.

You can set up receiving emails via POP3 protocol from any folder, including Spam. To do this, open the menu Setting → Email programs and mark the desired folders.

When downloading the contents of the mailbox by mail programs, messages are not marked as read by default. If you want to mark received emails as read, enable the appropriate option.

If the message "Authentication required" appears, "Sender address rejected: Access denied" or “Send auth command first”, authorization on the Yandex SMTP server is disabled in the mail program settings. Make sure the option is enabled User Authentication(for Outlook Express) or SMTP authentication(for The Bat!).

If a message occurs "Sender address rejected: not owned by auth user", the address from which you are trying to send an email does not match the one under which you are authorized on the SMTP server. Make sure that in the settings of the mail program, the return address is exactly the address from which the login is used in the authorization settings for SMTP.

If a message occurs "Login failure or POP3 disabled", the mail program cannot access the mailbox using the POP3 protocol. Make sure it's entered correct password from the mailbox and on in the settings section, access via the POP3 protocol is enabled.

If a message occurs "Message rejected under suspicion of SPAM", the content of your message was recognized by Yandex.Mail as spam. To solve the problem, open Yandex.Mail and send any one email as a test. This way you will prove to the system that the letters are not sent by a robot.

Check your computer for viruses with free antivirus programs: CureIt! from Dr.Web and Virus Removal Tool from Kaspersky Lab.

If the mail program does not receive or send letters, check the correctness of the settings of your mail program, as well as the settings for connecting your computer to the Internet.

If you are using antivirus program, firewall or proxy server, disable them and see if this reproduces the problem.

Select an issue:

When you delete emails, they go to the Deleted Items folder and are kept there for 30 days. During this period, you can restore them:

  1. Go to the Deleted folder.
  2. Highlight necessary letters.
  3. Click the Go To Folder button.

If more than a month has passed since they were deleted, you won't be able to restore the messages - they were permanently deleted from the Yandex.Mail servers.

If the letters are not in the folder where they should be, then most likely they ended up in another folder, for example, in Deleted or Spam. If you remember the name or address of the sender, part of the text of the letter or the subject - try to search for letters in all folders in your mailbox.

Did you find letters?

You can recover emails:

  1. Navigate to the folder where the emails were found.
  2. Highlight the letters you want.
  3. Click the Go To Folder button.
  4. Select the folder where you want to move the messages from the list - for example, Inbox.

Why Emails Disappear and How to Avoid It

In the Deleted mail folder, 30 days are stored, in the Spam folder - 10 days. After that, they will be permanently deleted from Yandex servers. Why emails can end up in these folders without your knowledge:

Emails can be deleted by a user who has access to your mailbox: you may have forgotten to log out after working on someone else's device. To end a session, click on the menu account link Sign out on all devices. You can also do this on the page - using the link Sign out on all computers.

If you use a mail program and delete letters in it, then they disappear on . This happens because your program is configured using the IMAP protocol - while the structure of the mailbox on the service is synchronized with the structure of the mailbox in the program. To delete messages only in the program, but leave them in Yandex.Mail, you can configure the program using the POP3 protocol, but we recommend not to do this: letters may not be synchronized correctly with the server.

If your email program doesn't show sent emails, then most likely your email program is configured with POP3 protocol. Due to the peculiarities of the POP3 protocol, messages in the mail program may not be synchronized correctly with the server. It is recommended to use the IMAP protocol to work with Yandex.Mail. To migrate your email program from POP3 to IMAP, see Switching from POP3 .

The report always indicates the reason for the non-delivery. About the most common causes can be read in web/letter/create.html#troubleshooting__received-report .

If you receive invalid certificate errors when activating SSL encryption in your mail program, make sure that your mail program and operating system configured correctly:

  • On a computer (no lag and "dates from the future"). If installed wrong date, the system erroneously determines that the certificate has not yet expired or has expired.
  • All installed.
  • Checking HTTPS connections is disabled in your antivirus settings. You can change the antivirus settings according to our instructions for Kaspersky internet security and ESET NOD32 smart security in the Security Certificate Errors section.

Add a certificate to the list of trusted certificates manually (Windows)

To add a certificate to the list of trusted certificates:

  1. Download the certificate. (If the linked file opens directly in the browser, click CTRL + S and save the file to your computer; you don't need to copy the text from the file.)
  2. Open the Start menu.
  3. In the search field, enter certmgr.msc and click Enter key.
  4. In the program window, in the folder tree, click on the folder.
  5. On the right side of the window, click right click click on Certificates and select All tasks → Import.
  6. Press "Next .
  7. Click the Browse button and select the CA.pem file you downloaded earlier. Click Next.
  8. In section Certificate store leave the default settings and click Next.
  9. Click Done.
  10. (Optional) In the pop-up dialog, click Agree.
  11. In the folder tree, click on a folder Trusted Root Certification Authorities→ Certificates.
  12. In the list of certificates (on the right), find the Certum CA certificate, right-click on it and select Properties.Properties → S/MIME and TLS.
  13. In the block, set the switch to the Internal position.
  14. Click the OK button.
  15. Try sending an email. If the certificate error reappears, then in the same block Properties → S/MIME and TLS → S/MIME implementation and TLS certificates set the radio button to Microsoft CryptoAPI .
  16. Press the OK button.

    Sending emails from a scanner that does not support SSL

    Set up your MFP or scanner as follows:

    1. Specify the following SMTP settings:
      • server - smtp-devices.yandex.com
      • port - 25
    2. Enable authentication (authentication).
    3. Enter your username and password in the appropriate fields.

      Attention. Be sure to enter your username and password manually. If you select authentication similar to the incoming mail server, sending will not work.

    Limitation. You can send letters in this way only to addresses served by Yandex.Mail (in the yandex.ru domain or to addresses. To mailboxes of other postal services letters through this server will not come.

    If you recently changed your mailbox password, make sure you also update your email settings. If the password in the settings is correct, wait a few hours - the settings of the mail program may not be synchronized with the Yandex server immediately.

    Try to log in with the same username and password in: enter the authorization data again, and do not use the previously remembered ones. If this requires you to enter check digits, you can refer to the list possible causes See Why do I need to enter check digits during authorization?

    1.5. For the work performed under this Contract, the Contractor shall establish guarantee period within 1 (one) year from the date of acceptance of works.

    2. Contract price and settlement procedure

    2.1.     3.1. The works specified in clause 1.2. shall be performed by the Contractor from the date of conclusion of the Contract no later than December 20, 2011.

    4. Rights and obligations of the parties

    4.1. The customer is obliged:

    Accept acceptance of the work performed within 3 days after the Contractor submits documents for the work performed;

    Pay for the Contractor's work based on the established price of this Contract in accordance with the actual quality and scope of their performance.

    4.2. The customer has the right:

    Check at any time the quality of the work performed under this Contract and the materials used;

    Require the Contractor to eliminate deficiencies and defects in the work free of charge, reduce the amount or completely refuse payment if the work is not performed in accordance with in full;

    4.3. The contractor is obliged:

    Ensure the performance of the work specified in clause 1.2 of this Contract, in certain deadlines, in the prescribed volumes and good quality and hand them over to the Customer;

    Provide at the request of the Customer necessary information on the progress of work;

    Provide, at the request of the Customer, the relevant certificates, technical data sheets and other documents certifying the quality of materials;

    Eliminate free of charge at the request of the Customer the shortcomings and defects in the work specified in the acts drawn up with the participation of representatives of the Contractor and the Customer;

    Ensure loading and unloading of materials, equipment, timely cleaning and removal of construction waste from the facility;

    Fulfill written instructions of the Customer received in the course of work, if such do not contradict the terms of the Contract.

    4.4. The contractor has the right:

    Require timely payment for the work performed in accordance with their volume and quality;

    To hand over the completed works ahead of schedule by agreement with the Customer.

    4.5. Each of the Parties is obliged, upon a written application of the other Party, to take part in drawing up an act on the shortcomings of the work performed and on any circumstance that occurred during the performance of these works and may be of importance for settlements under this Contract or affecting the timing and quality of the work performed.

    5. Handover and acceptance of works

    5.1. Upon completion of the work under the Contract, the Contractor delivers the work performed to the Customer.

    5.2. Works under the Contract are considered completed after the Customer and the Contractor sign the certificate of acceptance of work performed form KS-2, a certificate of cost of work performed and costs of form KS-3.

    5.3. In the event of a reasoned refusal of the Customer, the Parties draw up a bilateral act with a list of shortcomings and defects in the work performed and the deadlines for their elimination.

    5.4. In case of early completion of work, the Customer has the right to accept and pay for the work ahead of schedule in accordance with the submitted work acceptance certificate.

    6. Liability of the parties

    6.1. In case of violation of the established deadlines for the commencement and completion of work, the Contractor shall pay to the Customer for each day of delay in the fulfillment of the obligation provided for by the municipal contract, starting from the day following the expiration of the deadline for the fulfillment of the obligation established by the municipal contract, a fine in the amount of 1/300 (one three hundredth) of the current day payment of penalties at the refinancing rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation until the start (completion) of work. The Contractor shall be exempt from paying penalties if he proves that the delay in the performance of the said obligation occurred due to force majeure or through the fault of the Customer.

    6.2. If deficiencies are found in the work performed by the Contractor, the Customer has the right to demand the gratuitous elimination of deficiencies within a reasonable time, reduce payment for work performed in violation of quality requirements or reimbursement of expenses incurred by him to correct deficiencies with his own funds or by third parties.

    6.3. The Contractor bears the risk of accidental loss of the object of work or its part during the course of work.

    7. Dispute Resolution

    7.1. In case of disputes and disagreements under this Contract, the Parties will take measures to resolve them through negotiations.

    7.2. The parties provide for a claim procedure for resolving disputes. The term for consideration of claims is no more than 15 days.

    7.3. If the Parties do not come to an agreement, then disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation in Arbitration Court Smolensk region.

    8. Force majeure

    8.1. Force majeure means the occurrence of events beyond the control of the Contracting Parties (fire, flood, quarantine, earthquake, etc.).

    8.2. In the event of force majeure circumstances due to which one Party cannot fulfill its obligations under the contract, this Party must immediately notify the other Party, both of the occurrence and termination of such circumstances, with the provision of documents confirming the occurrence of such circumstances, issued by the competent authorities.

    8.3. In the event of force majeure, the Parties continue, as far as possible, to fulfill their obligations under the Contract, and search for alternative ways performance of the Contract, not dependent on force majeure circumstances.

    9. Final provisions

    9.1. The Municipal Contract comes into force from the moment of its conclusion and is valid until December 25, 2011.

    9.2. The relations of the Parties arising from this Contract, and not regulated by this Contract, are determined by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

    9.3. This municipal contract is made in 2 copies, having the same legal force, one for each Party.
