For its subscribers, the Belarusian telecom operator offers many useful and convenient services. One of them is voice mail. By connecting it, the client of the cellular company can be sure that he will not miss an important call, even if the mobile device stops working (for example, the battery runs out) or registers on the network. Service description

The "Voicemail" option is available for connection on all tariff plans. At the same time, you will not have to pay for using it if it is a standard service (without connecting the Plus package). The principle of operation of the service is to set forwarding from the subscriber's number to the Velcom service number. The client can choose the type of call redirection himself: the number is busy, the SIM card is not registered in the network, the subscriber does not answer. We remind you that the Voicemail option operates on the basis of call forwarding. In some cases, even if the service is regularly used, it is necessary to disable it. But in roaming, if you have conditional forwarding, you will have to pay twice - for both incoming and outgoing calls.     The "voice message" function is available for Megafon subscribers when the "Who called +" service is enabled. As part of the option, everyone can stay connected even if their phone is temporarily turned off or out of network coverage. At that moment, when they try to get through to the subscriber, the answering machine will receive the call and prompt the caller to leave a message. All that remains to be done in the future is to listen to the message from the Megafon service. If the caller does not want to say anything, then the subscriber will receive an SMS with information about the missed call. The service operates around the clock.

    The answering machine is activated in three cases:

    1. The phone is off.
    2. The subscriber is in a place where there is no cellular connection.
    3. The man is talking on a cell phone.

    The whole process can be described step by step as follows:

    • one person calls another on a megaphone;
    • the second does not answer the phone for one of the three reasons described above;
    • the answering machine is turned on, which, after a short greeting, informs about the possibility of leaving a voice message for the recipient;
    • a signal sounds;
    • a person sends his greeting, which is recorded on the Megafon server;
    • after the appearance of a subscriber who was unavailable on the network, an SMS is sent to his phone with information about the call and a number by which you can listen to the message left.

    To listen to a voice message on Megafon, the subscriber needs to call the short number 0525. The automatic informer will report on incoming calls, the time of the call, and turn on the voice greeting. But it is important to remember that the data storage period is 1 day, after which they will be automatically deleted.

    The option is connected for free, but a subscription fee is charged for its use. The amount of the subscription fee depends on the region where the client lives.

    Who is voicemail free for?

    The option can be used free of charge by subscribers connected to the tariff plans "All inclusive", "Turn on" and "Warm welcome". But this condition is temporary. After September 30, 2018, a subscription fee will also be charged for these tariffs. Its size is not yet known, but in the future it can be clarified on the official Megafon website or at the contact center at 8 800 550 58 58.

    How to leave a voice message

    Leaving a message is easy enough. After making a call, the answering machine reports that it is impossible to connect with the subscriber. Then a short beep sounds. The appeal is spoken after the signal. But its duration cannot be more than 3 minutes. And also, only 10 messages are stored on the server per day. It is important to remember this, and not leave 50 calls that may not be listened to by the addressee.

    For those who do not know how much it costs to leave a greeting, you can give an unequivocal answer - no money is charged from the sender's account.

    Service parameters

    Of the features of the "Who called" option and the storage of voice messages, it is worth noting:

    1. The service does not work with the "Call Forwarding" feature enabled.
    2. If calls are made through the special eMotion option, the caller will not hear the answering machine greeting.

    How to clear voice messages

    Messages are stored in the cloud for 24 hours, after which they will be deleted automatically. The subscriber can also independently delete the accumulated information. You can do this in two ways:

    1. Listen to each and delete.
    2. Call 0525 and select the "Delete All" command in tone mode.

    There is no charge for data deletion and storage.

    How to activate and deactivate the service "Who called +"

    There are several options for connecting the service:

    Through the personal account of the subscriber

    To enable the function, it is enough to go to the “Services and Options” section in the Personal Account, find the one you need and click the “Connect” button. When turning it on, it is important to make sure that there are enough funds on the balance of the phone to charge the first subscription fee.

    Voice mail is included in the basic package of services of the MTS mobile operator. For customers who constantly use this option, there are extended options with a subscription fee. You can disable or suspend any type of voicemail. Depending on the capabilities and preferences of the subscriber, various methods of disconnection are provided.

    Ways to disable the service

    USSD command

    Using a combination of numbers, a USSD command is created to disable the option:

    • Basic - *111*2919*2# ;
    • Plain - *111*90*2# ;
    • Plus - *111*900*2# .

    After dialing the USSD command in the dialing section on the phone, you must press the call button.

    SMS message

    As in the previous case with command requests to the operator, different SMS messages are provided for different types of voice mail. To number 111 you need to send a message:

    • Basic - 29190 ;
    • Plain - 90 (space) 2;
    • Plus - 90 (space) 10.

    The SMS message is sent free of charge. As a response, you will receive a notification about the successful deactivation of the service.

    In your personal account on the official website of MTS

    On the official website of the operator there is a special section for remote control of subscribers - a personal account. Within the framework of a personal account, options are connected and disconnected, tariffs are configured and changed. You can disconnect from voicemail in the following ways:

    1. Go to your personal account;
    2. Log in (login - subscriber's phone number, password is requested via SMS);
    3. Select the "Services" section;
    4. Find mail in the list of connected options;
    5. Click on the "Disable" button.

    A text message will be sent to the customer's phone informing them that their voice mail has been deactivated.

    In the application "My MTS" on the phone

    Official software from MTS is provided to users free of charge. You can download the application in the App Store, GooglePlay, there is a version for owners of smartphones based on Windows - Windows Store. After download:

    1. Pass authorization in the application;
    2. Go to the services section;
    3. Find the desired option in the list;
    4. Click the "Disable" button.

    Call to the operator

    One call to the MTS technical support hotline with a request to turn off voice mail will help solve the problem quickly. Depending on the location of the client and the device from which the call is being made, different numbers will work:

    • 8-800-250-0890 for subscribers calling from city Russian numbers and mobile devices;
    • 0890 for calls from mobile phones and smartphones;
    • +7-495-766-01-66 – number for customers who are abroad at the time of the call.

    Calls to any of the listed phones are free.

    Ways to suspend the service

    You can temporarily freeze your voice mail by calling the operator or visiting the nearest MTS office. Command combinations and messages are not provided for this. Suspend is available to subscribers connected to regular and enhanced (plus) voicemail. The basic option can only be permanently disabled and re-enabled as needed.

    You don't know it, but you can spend family money on voicemail even if you don't use it.

    For MTS and velcom subscribers, by default (that is, almost all), operators have activated the Voice Mail service since a certain time. If you get a call and you do not pick up, the operator offers to leave you a message on voice mail. And from the one who heard the voice mail answering machine, the money is withdrawn as if for a minute of talking with you. Even if he didn’t give you anything, didn’t write it down!

    Is this not necessary? Just dial ##002# and press "Call" if you are an MTS subscriber, or *441*1# and "Call" if you are a velcom subscriber. This will disable voicemail.

    It's easier for life:) subscribers - the operator does not automatically connect voice mail for them, the subscriber himself must meaningfully connect it.

    2. Choose the right tariff

    A rate that was perfect for you a year ago can now be terribly expensive compared to the new rates of the operator or the rates of its competitors. Operators report tariff changes on their websites, but how often do they read it?

    There is no reliable means to automatically check the rate for economy, and online rate calculators do not work reliably enough (for example, they underestimate additional packages of minutes or traffic). From time to time you will have to independently look at the cost details for the past few months, calculate the average consumption of minutes and megabytes, and then study the operator's websites.

    True, it may not be worth running away from the operator because of a couple of thousand per month: do not forget about the different coverage of the territory and different network congestion for different operators, as well as your own need for calls within the network.

    But also remember that you can run away from one operator to another by keeping the number.

    3. "beat off" the minutes

    Android and some older phones have an option that will be terribly annoying for some and save money for others.

    In the settings, find "Call settings", then "Signals on calls" (again, the names of the menu items may vary), and then turn on the minute signal (minute minder).

    Now, when talking, you will hear a beep every minute: it reminds you of the duration of the conversation.

    On iOS, there is such a function, for example, in the Call + Data Time Monitor program, and on Windows Phone - in Call Timer.

    4. Save traffic on images

    You may not believe it, but you are able to consume half as many megabytes on the mobile Internet. At the same time, there is no need to deny yourself anything.

    Enable image compression in Chrome (called "Traffic Reduction"), Opera ("Off-road" or "Opera Turbo" features), or UC Browser ("data compression"). You will hardly notice a decrease in image quality.

    This will not help if you watch videos from the mobile Internet, but in another case it will save from 20% to 80% of traffic.

    By the way, in Windows Phone this function is "hardwired" into the system itself and the standard browser: in the "Data Control" program, find the item "Saving information in the browser."

    5. Call not by phone

    If there is unlimited Internet via Wi-Fi, it will be more profitable for both interlocutors to call through special programs such as Skype or Viber.

    True, when using the mobile Internet by one of the interlocutors, the savings are in question.

    However, it is better to conduct long conversations via the Internet if both interlocutors already have paid unlimited Internet.

    What is true is that through the mentioned programs it is cheaper to call abroad to many countries in the world. For example, Viber allows you to call the United States for 200 rubles per minute, with mobile operators a minute in the United States costs about 10 thousand.

    6. Write SMS via the Internet

    Interestingly, Belarusian operators allow you to exchange SMS for free through their websites.

    It is convenient that SMS will reach the subscriber, even if he does not have the Internet.

    It is inconvenient that the service for receiving SMS from the Internet still needs to be connected. And the number of such SMS per day is limited.

    7. Control traffic and free minutes

    A separate item is the services included in the tariff plan: free minutes, megabytes and SMS. A handy thing if they are. But to notice that they are over is not so easy.

    You can find out how much free is left using the same USSD codes: *100# in MTS, *100*1# in velcom, *105# in life:). It is possible with the help of the programs mentioned above.

    Well, the hardest thing to track, Internet traffic, can be perfectly controlled on any smartphone.

    On Android, go to the settings, and there find the item “Mobile traffic”, “Cellular data” or “Data usage” (called differently in different phones) and set a limit and a warning about approaching the limit.

    On iOS, there is a “Cellular Data” submenu in the settings, where you can see how much traffic is used, but you can set the limit only by third-party programs.

    And on Windows Phone, in the standard Information Control program, you can set a traffic limit and prohibit background data transfer when you approach the limit.

    And one more thing: if you connect or disconnect any service (for example, an additional package of minutes), wait for the confirmation of the operator so as not to start consuming services at the old price.

    8. Don't fall for scams

    This is not even advice, but a universal rule for all life, not just mobile.

    “Send an SMS to a short number and win a million”, “your computer was blocked for watching porn, transfer the fine to such and such an account”, “download Opera Mini for free from our website” ... There are many ways to scam, and there are many scammers.

    Before any action that may cost money, ask yourself if you know how much it costs.

    9. Balance

    Even if you are sure that you did not fall for fraud, you could spend extra money on calls or the Internet. You need to be especially careful (and concise) during international calls.

    To check how much you have already spent, you can dial the well-known USSD code *100#.

    Disable the "Voicemail" service on Megaphone

    • You can disable the “Voice mail” service yourself, for this you need to dial the combination *105*602*0# on your mobile phone and press the “Call” button. At the end of the operation, the service will be automatically disconnected from your tariff plan.
    • You can also refer to the service program “Service Guide”. In order to get into your personal account, you should get a personal password using the command *105*00#.     Disable the "Voice mail" service on Tele2

    Disabling "Voicemail" on Tele2 is quite simple. Dial the command *121*1# on your mobile phone and the user will be disconnected from the service automatically. It is worth paying attention to the fact that when a user is disconnected from Voicemail, the Call Forwarding service may not work correctly.
