In the latest versions of iOS, the user is offered three options for signing out of their Apple ID account:

• Sign out of iCloud and Store- complete detachment of Apple ID from the device;
• Exiting the Store- iCloud synchronization still works, applications from the App Store, for example, can be installed from another account;
• Sign out of iCloud- on the contrary, leaves the user under the current Apple ID in iTunes (App Store, Apple Music, etc.), but breaks the connection of the device with the cloud service.

3. In the pop-up window that appears, select "Sign out of iCloud and Store" if you need to sign out of iCloud (unlink device) and App Store, iTunes Store, Apple Music, etc. or item "Sign out of iCloud" if you only need to unlink your device from iCloud.

4. Enter the password to disable the function "Find iPhone" and press Off.

5. Now go to the menu Settings → General → Reset → Erase content and settings.

6. After entering the password, press "Erase [device]".

After completing the above steps, the iOS device will be removed (unlinked) from iCloud with activation lock turned off (Find iPhone, Activation Lock). In addition, the iPhone or iPad will be reset to factory settings and all data will be deleted.

Completely delete your Apple ID account

There may be several reasons for permanently deleting an Apple ID, most often this is due to the user's desire to clear his "history" on Apple servers and create a new account. What will be removed?

• All personal data about the user without the possibility of recovery;
• All purchases in iTunes, the App Store and other Apple services are not recoverable;
• All data from the iCloud cloud service without the possibility of recovery.

To do this, you need to go to a special section of the Apple website dedicated to data privacy, log in using your Aplpe ID and answer security questions, select the item "Account Deletion" and start the process.

There are a few simple steps here, such as: specifying the reason for deleting the account, confirming that you have read the terms and conditions of deletion, entering an email address to receive information on the procedure.

An important point follows - a 12-digit code will be generated, which will remain the only way for the user to confirm his identity if he changes his mind about deleting the account. The procedure itself takes up to seven days, which are required by the support service to confirm the legitimacy of the request, after which the user will receive a notification to the specified E-mail or phone number.

On May 23, 2018, Apple released a new tool that allows you to completely and permanently delete your Apple ID and iCloud accounts. Users may need such a need in rare cases when their iPhone, iPad or Mac fell into the wrong hands, or if the owner of Apple devices simply decided to stop using them. Step 1. Go to the Apple Web Service " Data and privacy” and sign in with your Apple ID account.

Step 8. On the page that opens, enter the code you just received and finally confirm the account deletion.

Immediately after that, your request to permanently delete your Apple ID and iCloud accounts has been submitted. Note that the deletion does not happen immediately - Apple performs a review, which usually takes up to seven days.

In some cases, the user is forced to get rid of his iTunes record, then he starts looking for information on how to remove the Apple ID. This happens, for example, when a person sells his iPhone and decides to buy a new smartphone on the Android platform, where an Apple ID is not needed. I don’t want all the information, including payment data, to be stored somewhere, even on Apple servers.

Method number 1. Changing your data to non-existent information

Let's say right away that it's not so easy to delete an account. In iTunes or in the settings on the iPhone, you will not find the "Delete Account" button. Although, of course, it would be much more convenient. But the developers decided to save their customers from this opportunity. Therefore, we will have to resort to workarounds.

But all of them are free and do not take a lot of time. And one of them is changing your personal data in such a way that you can then simply forget about the account.

On a computer, this method involves the following steps:

• Launch the iTunes program, go to the store and click the "Sign in" button in the upper left part of the program window.

• After that, the user will go to the authorization page, where they will need to enter their Apple ID and password in the appropriate fields, and then click the "Login" button in the lower right part of the program window again.

• After successful authorization, you must click on the button with your email address. This button will be located in the upper left part of the program window, where the "Login" button was previously located. This is shown in Figure #3.

• By clicking on this button, a drop-down menu with account settings will appear. We need to click on the inscription "Account".

• On the page that opens, you can now enter absolutely any personal data. The main thing is to change your name, address, country, and generally everything that is possible. Unfortunately, the email address cannot be removed, because the changes will need to be confirmed by clicking on the link that will be sent to the e-mail. It is also important to remove payment information. Well, if the account was created without a credit card, then you don’t have to remove this information. Although not everyone knows how to do this without a credit card, so there are very few such accounts.

• After all data is changed to non-existent information, it is important to save all changes. To do this, click the appropriate button (“Save”) at the very bottom of the page.

After that, you can log out of this account and create a new record. Of course, this method does not involve the complete deletion of an account on an iPhone or other device with an Apple ID, but all information about you will be deleted, and this is the most important thing in this case.

The problem is that you cannot create a new account on your e-mail, but you can create another mailbox and specify it in the iTunes settings. Then, using the newly created mailbox, the user will be able to confirm the changes, and then safely forget about both the Apple ID and that mailbox. Fast and free!

You can do the exact same thing on your iPhone or iPad. After all, there is also iTunes. Of course, the interface is somewhat different, everything is smaller, but there is also a page with account settings where you can delete all the information that exists there. Again, if the Apple ID was created without a card, there is no need to remove this information.

If it was created with a card, it would be better to go to the tab with payment information and erase the card number, account details and, in general, everything that can be removed there.

Method number 2. Contacting Support

Interestingly, Apple developers decided not to give users the opportunity to delete accounts on their own. But they have such an opportunity. The reason for this decision is not very clear. In any case, each user has the opportunity to contact Apple specialists and ask them to remove the Apple ID.

This method includes the following steps:

• First, go to the Apple Support page - http://apple.com/support/feedback/. Before that, you need to log in to your Apple page. The login and password there are the same as on the iPhone, iPad or on the computer in the iTunes program. This must be done so that the appeal is not anonymous and unaddressed. By the way, the system will not send such an appeal, you still have to log in.
• On the Create a Support Case page, you must fill in all the fields, except for those that do not have a “required” icon next to them.
• After filling in all the fields, it remains to click on the "Submit Suggestion" button, that is, "Confirm the appeal."

The main problem at this stage is that all the fields here need to be filled in English, because the likelihood that someone who speaks Russian will be in the support service is very, very small. And of us, not very many people know English well.

1. first name- name.
2. last name- surname.
3. topic area- subject area. You can specify absolutely any. Specialists from the department where the appeal gets, for sure, will pass it on to the person who deals with deleting accounts.
4. email address- E-mail address.
5. Subject- the topic of the appeal. Here you can specify, for example, “delete account”, that is, “delete account”.
6. Web address (URL)- Internet address. Here you can specify, for example, a link to your page in other social networks. But filling in this field is not required.
7. Comments- comments. Ideally, here you need to write something like “I want to delete my account because ...”, that is, “I want to delete my account because ...” and then describe the reason. This increases the likelihood that the request will be granted by Apple. Otherwise, they may even respond with something like “Why do you want to delete your account?” (“Why do you want to delete your account?”) or “Please, specify the reason for removal” (“Please specify the reason for deletion”). Advice: Even if you use this method and create a support case, it's best to manually delete your payment information so that no one can use your card or find out your home address.

In some cases, it will even be better to use both methods, that is, first erase all information in the settings, and then create a support case. Even if not, it would be better for Apple employees to delete the account without a card.

Method number 3. Changing your email address

If you just need to register a new Apple account with your email address, this method is for you. It does not mean the deletion of all data, but only the freezing of the account. All information, including first name, last name, and billing information, if any, will remain available on your Apple ID. Here you should be very careful!

For those who want this option, they need to do the following:

• Go to apple.com.
• Enter "apple id" in the search bar. It is located in the upper right corner of the site.
• Pay attention to the "Recommended results" section, that is, "Recommended results". There will most likely be a link to a page called "My Apple ID" with a large apple icon.

• In the window that opens, click on the "Manage your Apple ID" button, highlighted in Figure 8.

It's best to just add one number or letter to it and stop there.

• Now it remains only to click on the "Save changes" button, that is, "Save changes" at the bottom of the page (highlighted in Figure No. 11).

This simple method allows you to literally freeze your Apple account, but not completely delete it. This is important to remember.

How to sign out with an Apple ID

In some cases, it is not necessary to completely remove your Apple ID. This is relevant when it is enough to simply log out of your account on a specific device. Interestingly, some do not understand that in order to sell a phone, it is enough to simply log out of your account on it, and not completely delete it.

In any case, to sign out with an Apple ID, you need to do the following:

1. On the main screen, go to "Settings". It is usually located in the bottom panel of the desktop.
2. In the settings, select the item called "iTunes Store, App Store".
3. After you enter this menu item, you will need to click on the inscription "Apple ID:" after which the actual email address will be indicated.
4. Next, the user will see several menu items, among which you need to select the item called "Exit" and click on it.

After that, the user will see that he is not authorized in the Apple ID and has the opportunity to create a new one. Again, this method does not allow you to delete your account - all the information will still remain and you can log in using this Apple ID from any other device.

As you can see, the process of signing out with an Apple ID is quite simple. The same applies to deleting an account, although there is no direct option to do so.
