With the release of new phone models, he began to replace everything existing devices... For a long time, you can use it to listen to music, play games, watch videos and even work. Unfortunately, it can malfunction when audio drops out on the device.

The main signs that the phone has a sound problem:

  1. Complete absence of sound signals.
  2. Echo, hiss while talking.
  3. Frequent change in the interlocutor's voice, interruption of the voice volume.
  4. Melodies and signals are heard quieter than before or are not played at all.

To find out what the problem is, you need to perform a device check. Now it is not necessary to go to a repairman, you can do it yourself.

First, check the volume control. It is usually found on the right or left side of the phone case. After pressing the button, make sure the slider is at its maximum position. The volume in games or when listening to music can be adjusted with this button.

If it doesn't help, go to next step... Let's try to look for an error in the device settings.

To do this, you need to go to the menu on your smartphone. In the "Settings" window, select the "Sound" section. Next, select "Volume" and move the slider. These steps will help you adjust the phone volume.

No sound can be caused by a clogged speaker or a broken speaker. If the speaker is clogged, it is enough to wipe it with a cotton swab or napkin, and then blow it out.

To check if the speaker is working properly, just switch the phone to speakerphone... If the interlocutor is well heard, then the cause of the breakdown is in the dynamics.

Sometimes sound problems cause new ones. installed programs... See which of the programs you installed last and try to uninstall them.

But, if you were still unable to correct the situation and return the sound - the best solution will hand over the phone for repair.

Dear Readers! If you have any questions or comments on the topic of the article, please leave them below.

As a result of the fact that a new generation mobile device is an expensive item, in the event of one or another of its breakdowns, repairs must be entrusted to people who are specially trained this case... After all, if you carry out the repair yourself, then you can sooner harm the device, and not put it in order. But it is also worthwhile to understand that there are times when the repair of a particular part can be done independently, without spending money. How to clean the speaker on the phone, he knows quite a large number of of people. Consider this topic in this article further in detail. So, let's find out how to disassemble the phone.

A problem such as poor sound when talking on the phone occurs due to the fact that the mobile device has already served quite long time... As a rule, the sound creaks due to contamination of the speaker or the phone "swallows" a large number of words. Nothing can be better for solving this problem, how to clean the speakers on the phone. Our task is to disassemble the device and clean the speaker mesh from dust and dirt to improve the quality of the conversation.

Poor speaker sound

The bad sound from the speakers makes its own adjustments to the conversation on the phone between people. This problem refers to those that you can decide on your own. In the event that you do not know how to do this, but want to try, this article will help you.

How to clean your phone speaker at home? The reason bad sound there may be dirt on the hole in the case, as well as dirt in the mesh itself, which is under the case of your phone. Often, such problems begin after 6 months from the date of purchase and the start of operation. telephone device... Here are all the details about direct cleaning.

How to clean your speakers

How to clean the speaker on a Nokia phone? It's pretty simple. The first thing to check is the outer shell of the speaker. After all, the whole thing may be in her. So, let's start with this part. You will need a toothbrush for this procedure. Naturally, the brush must be old, because then, of course, you will not be able to brush your teeth with it. With this very toothbrush, you should move along the speaker grid. It is worth noting that the movements should be circular in nature. You need to try to make sure that the bristles get inside the mesh and clean it of dirt and dust. But it is also worth understanding that you cannot press too hard on the brush, because you can damage the mesh of the speaker itself, and then you will definitely need to carry the phone to the service center.

Speaker Cleaning Procedure

It takes several minutes to carry out work of this nature. Next, you need to blow through the speaker mesh. Very often people use chewing gum in this procedure, which has already been well chewed. They just put it on the speaker, and it pulls out all the unnecessary particles. This operation must be performed several times, and then simply wipe the phone with a clean napkin.

When your device is dry, you can check the sound quality. It must be of high quality and clear. Now you know how to clean the speaker on your phone. But this is only one way.

It happens that such a cleaning does not bring the desired results. Then you will need to use a different method. Let's consider how to clean the speaker on the phone in this case.

Second cleaning method

So, the second method of cleaning the speaker. The question of how to clean the speaker on the phone, in this case, includes two types of solutions. In the first option, you only need a needle and accuracy. But in the second, of course, knowledge of how to disassemble the phone and all the same accuracy.

When using the needle, you need to be very careful, because you may not clean the speaker mesh, but simply pierce it and completely break it. In this case, you will have to already turn to more trained people.

To clean the speaker, you need to gently drive along the mesh, cleaning it from excess plaque, and shake it out.

The second way is to disassemble the phone, or rather, one of its parts. You can remove the speaker this device... In this case, its cleaning will be more effective. You can also flush the device with hydrogen peroxide, which will kill all accumulated bacteria, and your phone will continue to delight you with its clear sound.

The main purpose of any phone is to communicate with another person. If during a conversation the interlocutor is hard to hear or the speech is cut off and interference appears, then, accordingly, the usefulness of such a conversational device sharply tends to zero.

In addition to communication, there are many other functions on modern mobile devices. So with their help you can listen to music, watch movies, play games, use various applications... All of this entertainment will be less interesting without accompanying audio effects.

Let's try to figure out why the sound on the phone does not work? What can cause this kind of malfunction and how can it be eliminated? Although all mobile phones have their own device, but common features malfunctions are observed in all models.

Signs of missing or unstable sound

Let's consider the main signs by which it can be argued that the audio signal has disappeared on the mobile.

  • the first sign can undoubtedly be called complete absence any sound signals;
  • during a conversation you can hear extraneous noise or squeaks coming from the speaker;
  • the interlocutor's voice periodically rises, then falls or is interrupted;
  • melodies are not produced or sound changes, crackling sounds are heard.

If the signs are not so obvious or occur periodically, this may mean both random crash, and the beginning of the exit from the standing speakers or other parts of the cellular device.

Let's check

To figure out why the sound in the phone does not work, you do not have to immediately run to the service center. Perhaps the cause of the problem is commonplace. To do this, you should first of all check the external regulators or check the settings in the mobile phone menu.

Both operations will not take much of your time. Although each mobile has its own design features, all of them have an external volume control and submenus responsible for audio accompaniment.

Video: Setting up sound through the engineering menu

Volume control

The first thing to do if you have a problem with poor sound on your mobile device check the regulator.

Usually it is placed on the body of a mobile phone with right side... There can be several types:

  • in the form of a solid button. The sound is adjusted depending on which end is pressed. On the one hand, it decreases, on the other, it increases;
  • as individual buttons that have a plus or minus sign.

Make sure the slider is set to the right level... Move it if necessary. If the problem was in the regulator, then the adjustment should fix it.

In the normal state, the audibility of the call changes, system commands... In order to increase the voice of the interlocutor during a conversation, you need to make the adjustment exactly at the time of the conversation or when calling.

To increase the sound when playing video or music, as well as in games and applications, adjustments should be made exactly when open files multimedia.

Volume in the setup menu

If external adjustments do not work, it is possible that the reason lies in the system settings.

To check, you need to do a few things:

  • go to the "Menu" section on your device;
  • in the window that opens, find the subsection "Sound";
  • on the "Volume" tab, move the slider in the desired direction.

By these actions, we will increase the overall audibility of the phone. As with the external control, the sound settings can be divided into separate parameters: for multimedia, for conversations. Adjust the required items depending on the symptom of the problem.

The reason for the silence can also be set to one of the modes of your device. There are "silent", "quiet", "on the plane" and others. Accordingly, if you replace one of these modes with a simple one, then the problem can be resolved.

The main causes and methods of elimination

If checking the regulators and system settings did not fix the problem, it means that the reason lies elsewhere. These can be both software failures and mechanical damage or breakdown of one of the device's parts.

Accordingly, depending on the type of malfunction, there is also a method for its elimination. In some cases, you can get by on their own and small manipulations, and sometimes you can't do without the help of a master.

Foo: lost sound

In any case, first of all, you should find the original source of the breakdown and only then decide how to eliminate it and whether it will be advisable to do this.

Broken speaker

One of the reasons for the loss of any audio signals is a broken speaker. This is a serious malfunction and in most cases can only be solved by replacing the part.

It should be said that modern mobile devices have 2 or even more speakers. Usually one is responsible for music, games, applications, the other for conversations. If no sound is produced from any of them, then, most likely, the problems lie in other reasons.

One of the simplest ways to check if it is broken speaker Is to switch the conversation to the loudspeaker. If the interlocutor can be heard well, it means that a breakdown has been detected.

Types of breakdowns and ways to solve them.

  • one of the reasons for the deterioration of hearing from the speaker may be its clogging. The sound in such cases is reduced, but does not disappear completely. You can try to clean the speaker with a fine needle, cotton swab, or toothbrush. This is best done with compressed air;

Important! The main thing is not to overdo it and not damage the membrane during cleaning.

  • a short circuit occurs in the speaker coil or it is burnt. It is difficult to hear a person or sometimes crackles. It is solved by installing a new spare part;
  • an open circuit has occurred in the coil. The sound cuts out completely. Can only be corrected by replacing the component.

Important! In cases of decreased audibility in a mobile device, problems with the speaker occur in 80% of cases.

Sound amplification circuit malfunction

It often happens that the sound amplification circuit of a mobile device fails. In such cases, by adding or decreasing the volume, the audibility will not change. It is quite difficult to fix this problem on your own. It is best to contact a service center, where they will carry out diagnostics and replace the amplification circuit.

The reasons why the amplification circuit may burn out:

  • mechanical damage;
  • when the mobile phone is working in a highly overloaded mode and at the same time its temperature has risen significantly;
  • liquid ingress;
  • factory malfunction of the amplification circuit.

Broken train

One of the most common breakdowns is the failure of the loop. Most often, such a malfunction occurs in sliders and "rosettes". Since every time the device is opened, the loop itself moves, which leads to fraying of the contacts.

The main symptoms are the loss of audio signals and the failure of the volume controls. When replacing the part, all problems should disappear.

In addition to rubbing the loop connection, it can also lead to malfunctions physical damage or moisture on the contacts.

Software glitch

Every day the number increases useful applications for cell phones. Unfortunately, not all of them pass a sufficient level of testing for compatibility with different models mobile devices... Not to mention the deliberately harmful programs.

Some software glitches can simply be fixed by uninstalling the installed application. Some require a factory reset. More complex conflicts that set off a chain of failures will require flashing your cellular fixture.

Mechanical damage

They happen quite often. Not every apparatus can withstand being dropped or hit by a heavy object.

Mechanical damage can be conditionally divided into three groups:

  • external malfunctions. If dropped, the speaker or volume control may be damaged. In this case, replace the visible defective part;
  • damage to microcircuits. After a blow, both the train and sound card or other fragile elements of the device, the defects of which are visually impossible to see without opening. It is necessary to disassemble and then understand which element is damaged and, if possible, repair it or replace it;
  • cracks in the main board. Worst of all options. Depending on the model of the device, it may be more appropriate to buy new cell phone than to make repairs.

Pollution

Dust or fine debris on the phone contacts may burn cards or parts. More easy option- This is the contamination of the external parts. This can be a speaker mesh, which can be cleaned to remove a negative effect.

It is better to do cleaning with special devices and tools, and even better, entrust this business to professionals.

Moisture got in

Rain, snow, dew or any other liquid that gets on a mobile phone is unlikely to prolong its life. This also applies to any parts of the device responsible for the reproduction of audio signals. Excess moisture can burn out any components or oxidize contacts, which ultimately will lead to the loss of voice or music.

If you managed to notice the problem in time, then the consequences can be minimized. You should turn off the phone, carefully disassemble it and put it to dry. It is advisable to wait a long time, since the desire to quickly check the operation of the device can lead to its final breakdown.

Loss of sound on the phone is certainly an unpleasant situation, but in no case should you panic. Perform an initial test of the volume controls and settings in the menu. Then check various programs and apps that may mute the volume or cause a crash.

If the malfunction lies inside the device, then it is better to turn to professionals who will carry out comprehensive diagnostics and return the functionality of your mobile device without any problems.

It may seem that the topic of this article does not deserve detailed analysis... After all, what can you tell about a speaker or microphone that is not working? But in fact, this problem is not just relevant, such a breakdown is one of the most common reasons for contacting a service center. And especially Chinese devices are susceptible to it, the manufacturers of which often save on such small, but very important details... Let's figure out what's what.

Terminology

Microphone- a phone element that converts the sound of a voice into electrical signal... Often located at the bottom or front-bottom of the phone. From the outside it looks like a hole with a diameter of about 0.5 mm. Sometimes it can be covered with a mesh.

Noise canceling microphone- an auxiliary element, the main function of which is to estimate the noise in environment in order to subsequently adjust the sensitivity of the main microphone. Also, the noise canceling microphone can pick up sound during video recording. Not used on all models. Such a microphone is located either in the back-upper part of the phone, or on the upper end of the case.

Conversational speaker (or speaker) - a speaker that reproduces the voice of your interlocutor.

Polyphonic speaker (or buzzer) - a speaker used to play a ringtone, play the sound of audio and video files.

Do not you hear me- the most common reason for contacting a service center, characterizing any problems with sound (non-working microphone, speaker), or unplayable melody.

You probably realized that the last term is trolling, but not without a grain of truth. Often, when a client asks us for help, it is extremely difficult for him to explain what exactly happened to his phone. Don't believe me? Let's do an experiment. Choose any of the sound problems and try to explain to someone you know what is wrong with your phone. Most likely, you won't succeed the first time. Many questions will follow, who does not hear whom. Does the sound disappear when you call, or when they call you? When they call you, there is a melody, or it is not, and so on. Therefore, it will be useful to figure out how the breakdowns of the components responsible for the sound differ, what are their causes and whether it is possible to eliminate them at home.

Broken microphone

With such malfunctions, the phone is not able to convert the sound of your voice into electronic signal and, as a result, the interlocutor does not hear you. To diagnose a microphone problem, you need to start the recorder and try to record any test sound. If you hear silence after playing the recording, then the problem is with the microphone. It should be noted that you should not use video recording for the test - the camera can use the noise canceling microphone, and not just the main microphone.

Why the microphone stops working or does not work well:
1. I got into the microphone holethird-party item... As I already wrote, from the outside the microphone looks like a hole with a diameter of about 0.5 mm. If you have problems with sound and the interlocutor complains that you are either not heard at all, or heard as if you are talking through a pillow, do not rush to panic. Perhaps a grain of sand or some other object is blocking the microphone passage. To check, it is enough to visually assess the cleanliness of the hole. To fix this problem, clean the microphone hole with a dry toothbrush. Under no circumstances use vodka, alcohol or any other solution, as they contain water and in addition to problems with the microphone, you may face consequences ... Also, do not use needles, pins, and toothpicks. You can pierce the microphone membrane with them or, if you use a protected phone, pierce the semi-permeable membrane and deprive your phone of moisture protection.

2. Noise canceling error... Above, I talked about the noise canceling microphone and its function. If your phone has such an element and during a conversation you accidentally cover it with your finger (or you have a habit of talking on the phone by pressing it to your shoulder), the phone thinks that you are in a very quiet room and significantly reduces the sensitivity of the main microphone. The interlocutor hears you sometimes loudly, sometimes very quietly, depending on how tightly you close additional microphone... You can fix the problem by changing the way you talk on the phone or programmatically by turning off the auxiliary microphone in the menu (unfortunately, not all models have this option).

3. Pointing the microphone.This problem is inherent Chinese copies phones, but it can also occur with branded devices. During a conversation, there is a high-frequency buzzing, reminiscent of the reaction of a radio receiver when people are talking on mobile phone... There may be several reasons for this problem. The first one is low quality the microphone itself, it can only be solved by replacing the component. But the second reason can be tried to fix at home. It's about software calibration of the microphone. For all phones on MTK processors, you can do it manually from engineering menu... How this is done, I will tell you in one of the following articles.

4. Connected headset.One of probable causes a non-working microphone may be a "stuck" headset connection sensor. Its direct function is to switch the sound from the phone to the headset when it is connected. In some cases, this sensor does not return to starting position when you disconnect the headphones and the phone continues to think that they are connected, translating the sound into “emptiness”. In this case, the display shows the indication of the connected headset. The reasons for such a malfunction may be moisture, mechanical damage to the headphone jack, and hardware failure... The first two problems are eliminated only in service center, and you can try to remove the latter by reconnect headsets. If after that the indication has disappeared, and the phone is working properly, then you and your phone are in luck. By the way, when the headset sensor is stuck, not only the microphone, but also the speaker does not work, since its sound is also translated into a “virtual headset”.

5. Hardware malfunction of the microphone... This is the case when you simply cannot do without a service center. If anyone is interested in the reasons for such breakdowns, write in the comments - I'll tell you more.

Breakdown of the earpiece

Why does the speaker stop working or does not work well:

1. "Sticky" speaker mesh... The problem is characterized by a sharp degradation of sound in the speaker, but not its complete absence. Sometimes the sound with back side the phone seems louder than the front. No matter how clean a person is, physiological discharge from the ears in the form earwax are still present. Over time, it accumulates on the mesh and, mixed with dust, prevents the passage of sound. It is difficult to clean the mesh on your own, since usually manufacturers make them multi-layered - it will not work to remove dirt with a simple brush. But there is a temporary solution. I would not like to voice it here, because in unskillful hands this advice can do more harm than help, but still I would risk it - it is necessary to pierce the speaker mesh with a pin in several places to a depth of no more than 0.5 mm !!! You just need to go through the fibers of the mesh and in no case damage the speaker that is behind it. If the sound has improved, you are in luck; if it disappeared altogether, then you have overdone the depth. Let me remind you that this is a temporary solution, and very soon you will have to either repeat the procedure, or still contact the service center.

2. "Disease of an auto mechanic"... Any speaker is a membrane, magnet and coil. If your work is related to metal processing, for example, you use a grinder or a grinder, then metal shavings settle on the speaker membrane, preventing its free movement. The speaker acquires a “metallic” sound, becomes quieter or stops working altogether. You can fix the problem by disassembling the phone and collecting metal shavings using a more powerful magnet. It is problematic to do this at home, and the already damaged membrane does not always return to its original properties. The perfect solution the problem is the replacement of the speaker, followed by a recommendation not to use the phone in places where there is an abundance of small metal particles in the air.

3. Connected headset... As I wrote above, a stuck headset connection sensor can disable the spoken speaker in tandem with an inoperative microphone.

4. Outgoing contact... Most of the speakers are connected to the board with spring contacts. If the phone fell and a gap formed in the upper part of the case, it is possible that the speaker contacts have come off. In the event of such a breakdown during a conversation, you do not hear the interlocutor, but when you press on the upper part of the case, the sound appears. It is worth fixing the problem in the service center, but you can also banally wrap the phone with tape - proceed from the fact whether you are ready to sacrifice the aesthetics of the device.

5. Protective film... Incorrectly pasted protective film may block the slit of the speaker, thereby degrading its sound. I don't have to tell you how to fix this problem.

6. Hardware breakdowns... By analogy with a microphone, I propose to discuss this topic in the comments.

Breakdown of the polyphonic speaker

Buzzer breakdowns are in many ways similar to similar breakdowns of the earpiece speaker. Parts can also fail due to metal shavings and, if dropped, their contacts move away from the board. Therefore, I will focus on the breakdowns inherent only to buzzers:

1. Mechanical damage to the board-to-board loop... Many modern touch phones consist of two boards. One of them is the main (maternal), and the second is auxiliary. On the second board, as a rule, there are elements such as a microphone, a buzzer, a charging socket, and an antenna. These boards are connected to each other using a board-to-board loop. If it is damaged, the elements of the auxiliary board stop working. Such a breakdown is complex and, along with a non-working speaker, you will receive a non-working charging socket and a microphone.

2. Resonator defect- some of our clients complain not about the lack of sound in the speaker, but about its poor quality... The fact is that in order to achieve high-quality and loud sound, it is not enough for the manufacturer to supply good speaker... It is necessary to create a special resonator - a box, reflecting from the walls of which, the sound increases its volume and improves the purity of sound. The integrity of the walls is very important for the resonator. If they are deformed or damaged, the sound quality deteriorates sharply. Such breakdowns appear most often after a poor-quality speaker replacement.

That's probably all possible problems with sound, which I wanted to talk about in this article. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments, and I will definitely answer them.

When your phone has a speaker problem, it is one of the most unpleasant problems... It seems that the phone works, but it is impossible to use it for its intended purpose. You just won't be able to use your device for conversations. For most people in this situation, a phone with an inoperative speaker becomes simply unnecessary.

Speaking about this problem, first of all it is necessary to mention that in modern phone there are at least two speakers: one plays melodies, and from the other you hear the interlocutor's voice during dialogue. The first is a polyphonic, acoustic, music speaker or buzzer, the second is a speaker or hearing speaker.
Certain models may have up to 4 speakers available at once, but their main purpose is to simply amplify sound and improve its sound quality.

When a speaker fails, the phone is of little use. You will not be able to talk, you will not hear the ringtone, you will not be able to listen to music, etc.

Unfortunately, it is worth noting that the problem of speaker failure is very common today.

How do you know if your smartphone has speaker problems?

  • The volume of the interlocutor's voice changes all the time;
  • You hear extraneous noises while talking on the phone;
  • You don't hear your opponent at all;
  • During the playback of the melody, its volume became quieter and does not increase;
  • You may also hear additional noises when playing music;
  • There are no sounds at all on an incoming call.

Why does this or that speaker fail?

    One of the reasons may be software glitch, for example, an incorrect update;

    Also, a popular reason is the ingress of liquid, condensate into the speaker through the perforation, mesh of the phone case;

    Often, due to clogged speaker holes, you also stop hearing sounds in normal mode;

    Perhaps in view of mechanical damage the phone has broken contact with the speaker, or simply as a result of the fall of the device, the speaker is out of order;

    It often happens that similar problem occurs due to a closed headset jack, in this case external sounds will be absent, and the interlocutor will be heard through the headphones.

    One of the serious troubles can be the failure of microcircuits on motherboard responsible for sound, for example, an audio codec or a mixer.

    The problem may be the easiest to solve if the speaker volume is out of order. Be sure to check this indicator before taking any other proactive steps. Also try restarting your device.

If you are convinced that the sound playback settings are correct, you rebooted your smartphone, but the problem remains - the most the best way contact the service center.

Unauthorized actions can only harm the phone if you do not have the skills of a service engineer. Diagnostics of phones in our service center is always free. As soon as possible, we will determine the cause of the malfunction and, with your consent, we will eliminate it.

Tips to give for better work speakers

If you want the speakers in your phone to last as long as possible, you must follow the simple rules of their operation. The most important thing to know is that the speakers of the phone should be protected as carefully as possible from dirt, dust and other contaminants. Of course, water must not be allowed to enter or be mechanically damaged. It is for these reasons that in most cases there are problems with the speakers of phones.
