We start with the fact that enable monetization on the channel if you haven't already.

Important YouTube news from January 18, 2018: now channels with 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of video viewing per year will be able to join the affiliate program and enable monetization. If you have previously been connected to the affiliate program, but have not reached these indicators, from February 20, 2018, monetization on your channel will be disabled. It will be possible to reapply when these indicators are reached!

In the "Creative Studio", in the "Channel" → "Additional" section, select your country. Previously, it was necessary to indicate the United States, since monetization was not available in Ukraine and Russia. Now everything is available.

After that, a green dollar icon should appear next to your videos:

Linking your channel to Adsense

Now we need to connect the YouTube channel with Adsense. To do this, in the same "Creative Studio", in the "Channel" section, go to the "Monetization" tab. Here we are interested in the item "How to get the money earned", we open it and follow the link.

YouTube warns us that we will be redirected to Adsense, click the "Next" button.

Now we are asked to select the Google account that will be used to log into Adsense. We can choose the same account where the YouTube channel is located, which we are currently linking, or another, if you have several of them.

For example, I have already created an Adsense account, so if I want to link 1 more channel to it, I press the button "Use another Google account" and select the one that I need.

In the next step, we specify the language of the channel. In my case - Russian.

In the screenshot I have fictitious data, just for example, since I will not create a new account.

When we have filled everything in, click on the "Submit application" button. We will be redirected back to the channel, where we will see a message that the application is being considered, and a notification about its status will come by e-mail. This does not happen immediately, so you have to wait. It took me about an hour to approve.

When the application is approved, you will see the following message in the "Monetization" tab:

Confirming the address and entering the pin code

You will come across this step as soon as you have 10 dollars in your Adsense. This is the so-called threshold value, after reaching which, to the address specified during account registration, Google sends an email with a pin code.

The third threshold is $ 100. This is exactly how much you need to collect to receive payment. All these thresholds and explanations for them are given in this table:

How to link YouTube channel to Adsense account

Click on the line - Link accounts.

To connect with Adsense, you need to sign in to your account or create a new one. Since we are already registered with Google, we just need to log into our account. Click - Login.

We choose the language of the content, that is, the language in which your video or website will be. We press - Next.

On the next page, you should indicate the exact information in Latin letters. It is better to take the name and surname from the passport, specify the address in Wikipedia, there is always a trans crypt.

After filling out this form, you have to accept the general terms and conditions of Adsense by reading them and checking the box at the bottom, click - Accept.
