The first, unfortunately, this year is already unlikely to be found on store shelves, but the last one can be found in every salon.
I was going to write a review about the iPhone for a long time, but not about this, but about my old 4S. Unfortunately, it didn't work - it broke. Therefore, buying a new phone was simply inevitable. I knew in advance that I would take exactly 5 S, I will explain why:
1 . I sincerely do not understand why to chase after every new released model, which differs in some absolutely unnecessary function, such as LIFESTYLE, and overpay a huge amount of money for it. Yes, for 50-60 thousand (approximate price for 6s), I can buy myself an excellent 5s-ku, and even grab an Ipad.
2. I don't like the design of the sixes at all.
Well 3 the reason is that, in principle, I no longer had a choice, since apart from the iPhone I did not consider any other brands (no, not show-off, the reason is that after Apple it is simply impossible to use other phones. Those who have an "apple" understand me).

Using an iPhone, so to speak "without letting go", it lasts for 4-5 hours. You have to charge 2-3 times a day!
By the way, in 5s, the Touch ID function appeared, which allows you to unlock your phone using only your fingerprint (which does not always work for me, for which I took off one star).
The charger connector has also changed, it has become smaller, and the headphone jack has been moved from the top panel to the bottom.
And yes, do not forget immediately, when buying, cut off the SIM card. Micro- will not fit, you will need to cut it to the "nano" size.

And immediately the answer to the main question - is it worth buying such an iPhone? The correct answer is yes, and it must be done if you want to save a decent enough amount of money. All those who thought only about one thing - to buy or not, can already run to the store for a brand new phone and not doubt the correctness of the choice.

What is iPhone "like new" and where does it come from?
In short, these are used iPhones (no need to rush and say - “What!? This is used!”), Which went approximately the following way:
- A person gets a new iPhone - no matter how much memory and color.
- The phone has some kind of defect (speaker, charging connector, etc.)
- He turns to the service center under warranty and if the marriage is “factory”, then he receives a new device (Interesting fact! The buyer receives in return exactly such a phone, which is discussed in the article - restored).
- The “broken” gadget is sent to the Apple factory, where defective parts are repaired and replaced, packed in a new box along with new headphones and charger, and sent for sale under the name iPhone “like new”.
Buying this device, you get a completely new iPhone, because it always changes:
- Housing and display glass.
- Connectors and loops.
- The battery is being replaced.
- Plus, the defect with which he entered marriage is being corrected.
In fact, only the motherboard and some components (for example, the Wi-Fi module, cameras, cables, etc.) remain, which were tested again and did not cause any complaints in operation. Naturally, all these manipulations take place exactly at the same Apple factory.
Now I think it is clear that there is no question of any used, in the usual sense of the word for you and me, and there is no catch. iPhone "like new" is really a new (straight from the factory) device.
What models are now sold in Russia and what about the warranty?
At the moment, only refurbished iPhone 5S 16 GB is officially sold in the Russian Federation. Even if in the past it was a model with 32 or 64 gigabytes, then during the restoration process at the Apple factory, the free space is software limited to 16 GB. Important! Please note that there are no other officially restored models - only the iPhone 5S 16GB (any color can be), if you are assured otherwise, this is a blatant fraud.
Updated! As I was rightly corrected in the comments (thanks to the readers "IvanYch" and Natalia), the iPhone 5S 32GB and 64GB were indeed restored. But apparently it was such a small party that it passed me :)
Of course, if the situation changes in the future, I will change this article, but at the moment this is only one model.
Updated #2! Changes have indeed taken place since the article was written, and now Apple offers Russian customers to purchase an officially restored iPhone 6. True, the cost of a “like new” Apple phone of the 6th model, at the time of launch, only slightly (2000 - 3000 rubles) differs downward from completely new. Therefore, a "refurbished" 6 is not yet a great buy (solely because of the price).

In my opinion, Apple offers a great alternative for those who want to save "a little" and get the desired device. It is a pity that not so many models participate in this celebration of life at the moment.

To be completely honest, in fact, all these new improvements added to the iPhone 5s are nothing more than an attempt by the manufacturer to extract more money from a fanatical consumer. Many smartphone users admire the improved camera of the new model, which (oddly enough) has remained almost the same, with the exception of a slightly increased lens aperture and dual flash.

And if the owner of the Phone 5s is not an expert in photography, then he is unlikely to be able to find differences in the pictures taken by the new phone. In addition, the pictures taken with the camera of the iPhone 5 are not much different from the camera of the smartphone 5s.
At the same time, the consumer is offered to pay more than 30 thousand rubles for a small series of improvements, the most significant of which are the following:

Another thing is that not all of them reached Russia, which some fans of the brand will consider a positive thing - is it appropriate for a solid and expensive smartphone to turn itself into a multi-colored parrot.

Of course, this is convenient and significantly strengthened the protection against theft, or rather made it meaningless, but it was quite worthwhile to expand the working functionality of the biometric sensor, there is more that it has such opportunities, both in a technical and creative sense.
It is worth noting the increased memory capacity of the device, although it is rare that a user is able to usefully fill 64 GB of memory (this is the maximum value, some models will have 16 and 32 GB of memory, which will affect the final cost of the smartphone).
What is the result?
As already mentioned, the design of the new iPhone model is not much different from its popular ancestor. The same weight category - 112 grams, 4 inch screen (although some innovation from the developers was expected about it, but it did not happen), and the same dimensions of the smartphone (58.6 x 123.8 x 7.6 ml.) .
Needless to say, the iPhone 5s has all the features that are necessarily present in devices of this type and value for the user. The abundance of applications and other useful programs have not disappeared anywhere, on the contrary, they have acquired minor additions that are of little use in the daily use of a smartphone.
Albeit slightly, but the capacity of the battery has been increased, which is a positive thing, since the charge on the previous model was often not enough for the longest possible use. Of course, each owner of the iPhone 5s uses it for different purposes, which sometimes leads to a discrepancy of opinions and a desire to purchase. In principle, the new battery capacity is large enough to ensure long-term and uninterrupted operation of the device.
And in the end, it is worth noting that Siri in the iPhone 5S spoke in a pleasant human voice, which completely lacks metallic notes. Should I buy an iPhone 5s in 2016/2017?
It's time for big smartphones on the street and we want to get a decent model at a decent price. Unfortunately or fortunately, the most delicious prices can now only be called for the iPhone 5S.
In order not to beat around the bush, I propose to briefly go through all the characteristics of this smartphone and then write my opinion on this matter.
Let's start from the very beginning, namely, with the appearance. Now many people choose a phone precisely for external qualities and it doesn’t matter what is inside.
Luckily, the iPhone SE came out not so long ago with an absolutely identical design, which extended the life of the 5S design by another year or two for sure. So in the hands of this phone will look very personal.
To tell the truth, it was the biggest success of Apple and in spite of everything, there are now a very large number of users of this particular model. 
The colors of the phone are very pleasant and relevant: the most popular is black, and then gold and gray. There are plenty to choose from.
Many people like the 4-inch screen, so I won’t write much about it. Information is placed less than on a shovel, but everything is tolerable enough.
After the release of iOS 10, this phone is holding up just fine. With a slightly updated interface, nothing lags and works well.
RAM and processor. With 1GB of RAM and a 1.3GHz dual-core Apple A7 processor on board, the hardware looks decent. 
Multitasking is certainly not the same, and if you want to comfortably switch between programs, then perhaps you can stop at number 3 or 4. The rest will already be opened again.
Let me remind you that it was in this model that a 64-bit processor first appeared, so we breathe easy until September 2017, and then we will look at the situation.
This side of the iPhone has always been one of the strongest. It is this smartphone that ranks first in the number of photos taken on smartphones. 
8 MP with dual flash takes decent pictures, especially during the day. The front camera does an excellent job during the day, with poor lighting without noise, there is no way. But now there are filters, so this is tolerable.
The ability to shoot FullHD video and the cool Slow-mo effect will be nice bonuses that can always come in handy in life.
Rest. In general, the phone meets all modern needs. A battery with 1560 mAh will keep perfectly. Modern applications and toys run normally. Touch ID will also be a nice bonus.
If you like it when your device always has the latest iOS and all applications run without problems, then by buying an iPhone 5S you will get a good device for the next year, maximum two. 
The prices now for these phones are more than pleasant and therefore you can take it without hesitation. I myself use such a model and so far there are no complaints about the work at all.
All of the above characteristics give reason to think about buying a new phone, but just think. I won't update for the next year.

Another device with a 4-inch screen will appear in the spring, which will reduce the price of the SE. So we buy iPhone 5S in 2016/2017 or wait for winter and lower prices for SE.
