If the message "Authentication required" appears, "Sender address rejected: Access denied" or "Send auth command first", authorization on the Yandex SMTP server is disabled in the mail client settings. Make sure the option is enabled User authentication(for Outlook Express) or SMTP Authentication(for The Bat!).

If a message appears "Sender address rejected: not owned by auth user", the address from which you are trying to send a letter does not match the one under which you are authorized on the SMTP server. Make sure that the address from which is used in the SMTP authorization settings is specified as the return address in the mail program settings.

If a message appears Login failure or POP3 disabled, the mailer cannot access the mailbox using the POP3 protocol. Make sure that you entered the correct password for the mailbox and that POP3 access is enabled in the settings section.

If a message appears "Message rejected under suspicion of SPAM", the content of your message was recognized by Yandex.Mail as spam. To solve the problem, open Yandex.Mail and send any one letter in the form of a test. This will prove to the system that it is not a robot that sends letters.

Check your computer for viruses with free antivirus software: CureIt! by Dr.Web and Virus Removal Tool by Kaspersky Lab.

If the mail program does not accept or does not send letters, check the correctness of the settings of your mail program, as well as the settings for connecting your computer to the Internet.

If you are using an antivirus program, firewall or proxy server, disable them and check if the problem reproduces.

Read the step-by-step instructions for finding missing emails. Before starting work .

Select a problem:

When you delete messages, they go to the Deleted Items folder and are stored in it for 30 days. During this period, you can restore them:

  1. Go to the Deleted Items folder.
  2. Highlight the letters you want.
  3. Click the To folder button.

If more than a month has passed since their deletion, the messages cannot be restored - they were permanently deleted from Yandex.Mail servers.

If the emails are not in the folder where they should be, then most likely they ended up in another folder, for example, in Deleted Items or Spam. If you remember the name or address of the sender, part of the text of the letter or the subject - try to search for letters in all folders of your mailbox.

Did you find the letters?

You can recover emails:

  1. Go to the folder where the letters were found.
  2. Highlight the letters you want.
  3. Click the To folder button.
  4. Select from the list the folder where you want to move the messages - for example, Inbox.

Why letters go missing and how to avoid it

The Deleted messages folder is stored for 30 days, in the Spam folder - 10 days. After that, they will be permanently deleted from Yandex servers. Why letters can get into these folders without your knowledge:

Another user has access to your mailbox

Emails can be deleted by a user who has access to your mailbox: perhaps you forgot to end the session after working on someone else's device. To end the session, click the link in the account menu Logout on all devices... You can also do this on the page - using the link Log out on all computers.

Letters disappear in the mail program

Configured a rule that deletes or moves letters. Letters disappear in the mail program

If you use the mail program and delete letters in it, then they disappear on. This happens because your program is configured using the IMAP protocol - the structure of the box on the service is synchronized with the structure of the box in the program. To delete messages only in the program, but leave them in Yandex.Mail, you can configure the program using the POP3 protocol, but we recommend that you do not do this: messages may not sync correctly with the server.

Configured a rule that deletes or moves messages Specify reliable ones in Yandex.Passport and link them to your account. Perhaps our security system found your account suspicious and blocked the mailbox. Most often this happens due to the fact that a phone number is not tied to the mailbox or a fictitious name and surname are indicated in the Passport. It usually takes a couple of hours to unlock the lock.

If you delete messages in your mail program, but they are still in their folders on the Yandex.Mail website, then most likely your mail program is configured using the POP3 protocol. Due to the peculiarities of the POP3 protocol, messages in the mail program may not be correctly synchronized with the server. It is recommended to use the IMAP protocol to work with Yandex.Mail. For information on how to reconfigure your email client from POP3 to IMAP, see Migrating from POP3.

If your mailer does not display sent emails, then most likely your mailer is configured using the POP3 protocol.

The report always indicates the reason for the non-delivery. For the most common reasons, see ../web/letter/create.html#troubleshooting__received-report.

If, when activating SSL encryption in your mail program, you receive errors about an incorrect certificate, make sure that the mail program and the operating system are configured correctly:

  • On a computer (no lags and "Dates from the future"). If the date is incorrect, the system mistakenly determines that the certificate has not yet expired or has already expired.
  • All are installed.
  • Checking HTTPS connections is disabled in your antivirus settings. You can change the antivirus settings according to our instructions for Kaspersky Internet Security and ESET NOD32 Smart Security in the Security certificate errors section.

Add a certificate to the list of trusted certificates manually (Windows)

Attention. If you are not sure if you can install the certificate yourself, contact a specialist.

To add a certificate to the list of trusted certificates:

  1. Download the certificate. (If the link opens directly in your browser, click CTRL + S and save the file to your computer; you don't need to copy text from the file.)
  2. Open the Start Menu.
  3. In the search box, type certmgr.msc and press the Enter key.
  4. In the program window, in the folder tree, click on the folder Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
  5. In the right part of the window, right-click on Certificates and select All tasks → Import.
  6. Click "Next .
  7. Click the Browse button and select the CA.pem file you downloaded earlier. Click Next.
  8. In chapter Certificate store Leave the default settings and click Next.
  9. Click Finish.
  10. (Opt.) In the pop-up dialog, click Agree.
  11. In the folder tree, click on the folder update the program to version 6 or higher. After the update, do the following:
    1. In the program menu, select Properties -> S / MIME and TLS.
    2. In the unit, set the switch to the Internal position.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Try sending an email. If the certificate error appears again, then in the same block Properties -> S / MIME and TLS -> S / MIME Implementation and TLS Certificates set the switch to Microsoft CryptoAPI.
    5. Click OK ..
    6. Unpack the archive.
    7. Run the mailssl.bat file as administrator.
    8. Turn off SSL in the mail program settings and specify the following server parameters:
      • SMTP: server - localhost, port - 25
      • POP3: server - localhost, port - 110
      • IMAP: server - localhost, port - 143

If the problem persists, try using the recommendations from the articles Mail client of the Trade Administration and gmail (when following the recommendations, substitute Attention.

Be sure to enter your username and password manually. If you choose to authenticate like the incoming mail server, sending will not work.

Limitation. In this way, letters can only be sent to addresses served by Yandex.Mail (in the yandex.ru domain or to addresses. Inboxes of other mail services will not receive letters through this server.

If you recently changed your mailbox password, make sure to update the data in your mail program settings as well. If the password in the settings is correct, wait a few hours - the settings of the mail program may not be synchronized with the Yandex server immediately.

Wann beginnt mein Abonnement?

Few software products generate as many complaints as Outlook 2013. Here are some tips on how to tame the beast.

Microsoft Outlook has been around for a long time. However, Outlook 2013 has some, say, quirks that have to be overcome. Listed below are tips on how to work with the program without getting annoyed.

Get rid of CAPS

When Microsoft took the step towards a more touch-friendly version of Outlook, one of the ways it used was to WRITE ALL MENU ITEMS IN CAPITAL LETTERS. This is the worst excuse for improving touch navigation.
Changing the spelling of menu item names is easy: right-click one of the menu names and select Customize Ribbon. On the right, under the list of main tabs, click once on the desired tab that you want to change, select the "Rename" command and put a space at the beginning of the name. For example, change "Home" to "Home" and click OK.

Reduce eye strain

The background color in Outlook is described as "very white," "eye-catching white," and "I bet my ophthalmologist gave them money for this white." You don't have to live with white if you don't mind slightly gray. It's almost white.

To choose between dazzling and slightly white, click File, Account. Then choose the color you like best in the "Office Theme" box. The changes you make will be reflected in all your office applications. No, you can't just change the look of Outlook — Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will use the same color theme.

Don't even try to set the background

Don't expect to be able to set the page background overlapping the white-gray-gray borders. The "background" only changes in a tiny spot in the upper right corner. Stupid.
If the background is too bright, turn down the screen brightness.

Unravel HTML links

Your organization's policy prevents us from taking this action. For more information, please contact support.
Of course, your support team has no idea what's going on. (Or perhaps you are your own support team.)

This is the reaction of Outlook 2013 when the default order of actions for certain kinds of links is out of order. Easy solution: Go to KB article 310049 and run Fix It. This will reset all programs associated with incorrectly identified links.

Move Outlook 2013 to a new computer

If you've read that moving Outlook from one computer to another is as easy as copying a PST file from an old machine to a new one, this is news for you. Even Windows Easy Transfer (which is in Windows 7, but not in Windows 8) can cause problems.
Even if everything goes according to plan, you can still lose some of your customizations when you go.

Unblock messages stuck in Outbox

One of the most common and annoying problems in Outlook 2013 appears when a message gets stuck in the Outbox folder.
There are many options for this problem: the message is too large (there is a solution for Comcast users), the Outlook add-on marked the message as read, mail server problem, corrupted outlook.srs file, antivirus blocking, incorrect read confirmation, and this list can be continue.
Solutions to this problem, in addition to the obvious deletion of the letter, are described on the Slipstick website.

Shrink, compress or fix the PST file (s)

While Outlook 2013 can start to behave like a weekly dead whale for any of a thousand reasons, those of you using it with POP3 accounts can probably blame the PST file (s). People using IMAP and Exchange Server don't have PST files, but they do have OST files that can be deleted relatively safely.

Compressing a PST file is easy if you can find it. In Outlook 2013, please click File, User Preferences, Account Settings. Go to the Data Files tab by double-clicking the PST file and then click Compress. If compression doesn't work, follow Microsoft's instructions for using the ScanPst tool.

Why isn't the "Ctrl + F" key combination used for searching?

In all Windows programs (almost all), "Ctrl + F" brings up a search dialog box. In Outlook 2013, pressing Ctrl + F while viewing a mailbox forwards the current message. To start a search by your email, you need to press "Ctrl + E". What about "Ctrl + F"?
No way to set “Ctrl + F” to search was found. However, the reason why "Ctrl + F" is configured to forward mail is described by Raymond Chen on MSDN.

Remember a few important keyboard shortcuts

While "Ctrl + F" will continue to haunt you forever, there are a few keyboard shortcuts worth remembering. Print them and stick them on the monitor. Yes, it is important.
... Ctrl + R - Reply, Alt + R - Reply all
... Ctrl + O brings up a response message
... Ctrl + V uses the contents of the clipboard to compose a new message (note, no matter which one you are working on)
... F9 Send / Receive

Customize the classic look of the menu

Microsoft replaced the Outlook menu with a ribbon in Outlook 2007, but only for the home page. It was another three years before Ribbons made their way into the Outlook 2010 interface. If you miss the classic menu, a preeminent third-party tool called Addintools Classic Menu brings it all back and forth. In its default configuration, it gives you both a ribbon interface and a classic menu interface.

There is a 15-day, fully functional free trial, but if you continue to use the program, the Office suite — Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, Access, and InfoPath — will set you back $ 30.

Bring Back Outlook 2010 Features: ToDo, Entertainment, Magazine

Three features have died in Outlook 2013 that many Outlook 2010 users would like to bring back.
The ToDo bar no longer exists (although there is a To-Do Bar tile, it is not the same as in Outlook 2010). The only alternative is to attach a Task, People and / or Calendar. To pin a Task, hover your mouse over Tasks and click the pin icon in the upper right corner.

The new Contacts form is not a place to view a contact's activity. To get this opportunity back, follow the instructions on the Sparnaaij website.
Outlook Journal doesn't exist in Outlook 2013. Get used to this.
Downgrade to Outlook 2010

If you yearn for the good old days of Outlook 2010, you can always come back to them. May be. The license options depend on how you purchased Outlook - if you have an OLP license, downgrading is possible, if you are using Office 365, you may have to buy an offline copy of Outlook 2010 (good luck finding).

Or you can use a volume licensing trick: buy four copies of a license of something (only $ 30 or so) and one copy of Outlook. You now have downgrade rights. Be sure to follow the advice from Microsoft and don't try running Outlook 2010 and 2013 at the same time.

Turn off Reading Mode

When in Outlook, you double-click on a DOC file that is attached to an email message, the DOC file appears in Word in this strange mode, which is designed for touch screens. This is called "Reading Mode" and is completely useless for anyone with a mouse.
To get rid of it, choose Options from the File menu and make sure General is selected on the left. At the bottom, uncheck the box next to "Open email attachments and other non-editable files in Reading View." Restart Outlook.

Search in Outlook for the current folder only

In Outlook 2010 and earlier, if you enter the mail search box, Outlook searches the contents of the current folder - great. But in Outlook 2013, for reasons known only to certain sadists in Redmond, if you browse your Inbox, the search extends to all folders in your current mailbox. This means that you may end up accidentally deleting mail from your Deleted Items folder, or answering something you shouldn't.

To fix this, choose File, Options, click Search on the left. Under Results / Include Results From Only, select the Current Folder option.

Click and Run

If you've used Click-to-Run (CTR) technology in Office 2013 last month, you may have encountered the infamous Error 30145-4 that was turning Office into bricks. It looks like Microsoft released a new version of Office 2013, shipped it through the CTR channels, and when a lot of people clicked to launch, the new version popped up belly.

To fix this issue before Microsoft fixes it, you must revert to a previous version - any previous version of Office CTR.
The method is complex (includes a number of DOS commands, uh, command line commands), but Microsoft has finally released a rollback document - KB 2770432.

Throw this relic and go to the cloud

Try Gmail for example. This is not to say that Gmail is superior to Outlook.com. This is not true. Or, if so, things could change next week. But, email (and calendar and contacts) in the cloud is much easier and faster.

To customize the program Microsoft Office Outlook to work with your mailbox, you need to add a new account.

To set up an account, you will need the following data:

  • Your name, which will be displayed in the "From" field for the recipients of your correspondence.
  • Mailbox address: your mailbox address in full with the domain name (for example, [email protected]).
  • Login: the name of your mailbox without a domain (for example, user).
  • Password: password for your mailbox.
  • : for example, smtp.km.ru / Port: 25 (it is possible to use STARTTLS encryption) or port: 465 (it is possible to use SSL encryption). The SMTP server for sending mail requires authorization, it must be enabled in the outgoing mail server settings.
  • Incoming mail server (POP3): for example, pop.km.ru / Port: 110 (it is possible to use STARTTLS encryption).
  • Incoming mail server (IMAP): for example, imap.km.ru / Port: 993 (SSL encryption is possible).

The process of adding a new account is similar for different versions of Microsoft Office Outlook. Differences may be in the organization of the main menu and some names of the settings fields. Below is an example of setting up a mailbox in the interface Microsoft Office Outlook 2013.

If you are using a different version of the program, it will also be useful for you to familiarize yourself with the example. To proceed to creating a new account in other versions of MS Outlook, carefully review the main menu and find the item. For example, for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, on the main menu, select "Service", then "Setting up accounts ..."... In the window that appears, click the button "Create..."(see Fig. 2), subsequent settings will be similar to the example described below.
