The most popular Nokia phone. Nokia push-button phones - prices

Older Nokia phones have at least one subtle but important feature: collectors are happy to buy them. Do you know at least one person who would chase after old mobile phones, LG, HTC or Sony Ericsson? Of course, some people still dream of buying a SE T610 in perfect condition, but this is rather an exception to the rule. Meanwhile, Nokia has dozens of such legendary models - and below we will refresh the memory of their list. This is especially true today - against the background of the "mobile" divisions of Nokia by Microsoft. Which, quite possibly, will entail the disappearance of phones with a painfully familiar logo from the market.

Nokia 2110(1994). The first phone of a Finnish company with the Nokia Tune ringtone, which even today (of course, in a modern arrangement) is distributed from the speakers of millions of mobile phones around the world. And 2110 was the first serial phone capable of receiving and sending SMS.

Nokia 2110

In addition, Nokia 2110 can be called "great-great-grandfather": the Finnish phone was inserted into the HP OmniGo 700LX Communicator Plus communicator (MS-DOS 5.0, 5.1-inch screen, 7.93 MHz processor) of 1996. Thanks to this, the latter got the opportunity to exchange messages.

HP OmniGo 700LX Communicator Plus

Nokia 8110(1996). The famous "banana" eaten used by Neo in the movie The Matrix. The keyboard is covered with a special panel that can be moved with your fingers, thus answering calls. At the same time, the microphone is located on the bottom of the panel, so that after the “opening” of the phone it is at the very chin, improving the quality of voice transmission.

Nokia 8110

Nokia 6110(1997). The first GSM phone with an ARM processor, the first phone with the Snake game, and also the first phone for the masses of people around the world. Because it was actively subsidized by operators, distributing it for relatively little money, complete with a contract.

Nokia 6110

Nokia 8810(1998). The world's first phone with a built-in antenna - this design eventually became the standard for the market, Nokia once again acted as a trendsetter.

Nokia 8810

Nokia 7110(1999). By design, this model resembled the 8110 and, in fact, was the successor to the Neo phone. Nokia 7110 is the first phone on the Series 40 platform, which has gone through a lot of iterations and is still present on the market, and also the world's first mobile phone with a WAP browser.

Nokia 7110

Nokia 3310(year 2000). There is nothing to talk about at all: a brick beloved by many of us. Below is a crash test video of the 3310 and one of the Lumia models.

Nokia 3310

Nokia 7650(year 2001). It became the first model based on the Symbian/S60 platform and, at the same time, the first Nokia device with a built-in camera (0.3 megapixels). I remember when the author of this article first saw the 7650 in the store, he was literally shocked. It was felt that this huge (at that time, of course) slider would change the world. So yes: Symbian has become the leading mobile operating system for many years.

Nokia 7650

Nokia 1100(2003). Definitely the budget phone in Nokia's history, and quite possibly the world's best low-cost handset ever. This is confirmed by the numbers: Nokia 1100 has sold 250 million copies. And a copy of this particular model became the billionth phone sold by a Finnish company - this happened in 2005 in Nigeria.

Nokia 1100

Nokia 8800(2005 year). There was no iPhone then, and the 8800 was the subject of passion for all advanced schoolchildren. In general, if we discard the jokes, it was an excellent fashion phone. Beautiful, expensive and metallic. (Let's just say that all Nokias claiming not to be "status" and not holding a candle to the 8800 and other representatives of this legendary series.)

Nokia 8800

Nokia N91(2006). One of the best music smartphones of all time. A dedicated audio chip from Texas Instruments, a musical keyboard, a 4 GB hard drive and excellent sound quality are included.

Nokia N91

Nokia N93(2006). A large "clamshell" with an optical zoom - that is, the component that is so lacking in modern smartphones to completely destroy the market for "digital cameras". (Yes, we remember about, but it is very strange and is still on the market alone.)

Nokia N93

Nokia N95(2007). "Full stuffing" from Nokia, sold in millions of copies. Later, when Nokia had already begun to prepare for the sale to Microsoft, going downhill, the company allegedly invited an engineer who was once responsible for the creation of the N95. He was tasked with doing something equally successful that could restore the company to its former glory. But - it didn’t work out, it didn’t work out.

Nokia N95

Nokia 5800(2008). The answer to the creators of the iPhone, the first touchscreen smartphone based on the S60 (but not the first in the history of Nokia) and, as a result, a very popular music device. Perhaps, it was he who became the last brainchild of Nokia, which was discussed with might and main on the Internet, and in a positive way. And then a stream of oddities began: cameras without autofocus in expensive devices (remember at least C7), massively “dying” from factory defects C7 and N8, the famous 41 megapixels, the transition to a half-dead Windows Phone and in mid-2013 for 7 thousand rubles.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

It seems that the history of Nokia crept up to its end a few years ago, and then there was already agony. One way or another, the Finnish phone manufacturer has had a huge impact on the modern world, and it's a pity that his story is about to end. But other options, apparently, could not be - once having gone astray from the right path, it is extremely difficult to return to it. Especially in the IT world.

Today it became known that Microsoft acquired a division of Nokia, and are going to suspend the production of smartphones in favor of mid-range models. Look At Me remembers the iconic Nokia models, their distinctive design and cutting-edge technologies at the time of release, when all phones were not yet alike.

Nokia 3210

Released in 1999, the monochrome Nokia 3210 became one of the company's most popular models (along with the 3310 that later replaced it). At a certain point, however, popularity became a shortcoming of the model: there are cases when hunters for mobile phones easily took them from schoolchildren according to a simple “guess what phone you have - it's mine” scheme. Nokia 3210 is one of the first black and white phones with a built-in antenna (rather than a protruding "horn"). It already had the games "Snake", "Memory" and "Rotation", "auto-correct" T9, as well as built-in pictures that could be sent via SMS ("ancestors" of stickers).

Nokia 3220

Phone 3220 continued its course towards youth phones, started with the 3200. It was equipped with advanced technologies for 2004 (built-in radio, infrared port, relatively large memory, panel customization), but was not popular due to too high a price. The main feature of this phone was colored side panels that vibrated and blinked in different colors when making a call, in games or the included player - they, like the design of the phone itself, could be changed.

Nokia N-Gage

Symbiosis of phone and game console, released by Nokia in 2003, it generally failed, as it could not match the quality of video games with home or even portable consoles. The qualities of the model as a phone were also dubious, for example, the layout of the keys did not favor typing messages. It was also possible to play at a distance using Bluetooth, and players could communicate and compare records as part of the Arena project.

Nokia 7280

A feature of the model 7280 was a rare tube form factor, which still leaves questions: how without a keyboard, touch screen and Siri, in principle, you can use it (in fact, the spinning wheel and the selection button were responsible for this). The form factor, however, was not an innovation of Nokia - before that, a model similar to a voice recorder was produced by the Chinese company producing home appliances Haier. The target audience of the phone was supposed to be women - the phone, similar to ink, came with a leather case, and the screen turned into a mirror in standby mode. The Nokia label to the right of the screen gave the phone a resemblance to a designer piece of clothing.

The Nokia 8110 deserves special mention. This model appeared in the movie "The Matrix" in 1999, and Russian-speaking users called it "banana" because of the characteristic shape of the case. In 2006, Internet users created a petition to resume production of the 8110, but were not successful.

Nokia 8800

One of the most expensive Nokia models, available in a huge number of variations (from black to gold), was made of stainless steel and scratch-resistant glass; an important part of the design was the slider closer, which opened the keyboard from the steel "glass" with a characteristic click. Ringtones specially for this model were composed by Brian Eno. The main problem with the phone was the lack of clear technical advantages and several engineering flaws - for example, the legendary unstable battery.

Nokia 7600

Nokia 3200

Nokia 3200 Model Nokia Expression Series intended for the youth. The phone came with three holographic panels that could be inserted into a transparent plastic "case". The pattern was ahead of the D.I.Y trend. - panels could be created by yourself. Unlike its predecessor, the Nokia 3100, the 3200 had a built-in camera - many users complained about its poor resolution, and despite the unusual design, the phone never became as popular as the Nokia 3100.

The Finnish company Nokia is a telecommunications equipment manufacturer, software developer and perhaps the most legendary former manufacturer of smartphones and mobile phones. The company occupied a leading position in the sale of mobile terminals until 2011 and managed to release a large number of popular and unique phones. In recent years, it has abandoned its own Symbian OS in favor of Windows Phone. At the moment, the rights to mobile phones and smartphones under the Nokia brand belong to Microsoft, and Nokia has announced its first Android tablet. In the meantime, we recall the once popular models of Nokia mobile phones.

Nokia 8110

Nokia 8310

Another device quite popular in its time is the representative of the 8000 series, the phone 8310. It was released at the end of 2001 and went on sale around the world almost simultaneously, with an impressive price tag. He boasted a relatively compact size and some features that were at that time not many phones. The phone was equipped with an infrared port and an FM tuner, supported GPRS and WAP.

The 8310 used a monochrome 5-line screen, it was possible to change panels, there were 9 colors in total, there were 2 pieces in the kit (at least in some). ate from Li-Ion 750 mAh battery, and (in theory) worked in standby mode from 100 to 400 hours and in talk mode - up to 4 hours.

Nokia 6310

Nokia 6310 - a representative of the Nokia business line of phones, replaced the rather popular 6210 and was one of the first devices with Bluetooth support (and possibly the first in the Nokia range), although it was still a bit tight with headsets as such. It was announced in 2001, and hit the shelves in early 2002. Compared to its predecessor, it became a little smaller and lighter, but the design that users liked was decided not to change significantly. In addition to Bluetooth, the mobile phone supported GPRS, WAP and was equipped with an infrared port.

The phone used a 6-line monochrome display with a resolution of 96x65, a 1100 mAh lithium-polymer battery was supplied in the kit, which allowed the 6310 to work in standby mode up to 18 days, and talk time - from 3.5 to 5 hours, which at that time was quite an impressive figure. In addition, the phone was fully compatible with batteries from the previous 6210.

Nokia 8910

Image Nokia 8910 became the world's first mass-produced mobile phone, the body of which was made of titanium and was produced in two colors: in fact, natural titanium and black. Of course, the cost was quite high. Another feature was its design: there were two buttons on the sides of the case, when pressed, the phone "fired", it looked quite impressive. The phone used a monochrome screen with 4 lines with a pleasant light backlight. Bluetooth, IrDA were provided for data transfer, GPRS was supported. Later, a color screen version of the 8910i was released, but it was already only available in black.

Nokia 7650

The next device is the Nokia 7650, the first smartphone on the Symbian OS with built-in camera. Prior to this, the 9210 was released in a book form factor with a full keyboard and a slot for memory cards, but in its case the camera was supplied as a plug-in accessory. Smartphone 7650 had a slider form factor and was equipped with a 2.1-inch color screen with a resolution of 208x176, which could display 4096 colors.

The smartphone was running Symbian OS v6.1, Series 60 v1.0 UI, supported SMS, MMS, Email, WAP 1.2.1, and xHTML. GPRS, Bluetooth1.1 and IrDA were provided for data transfer, and 4 MB of internal memory was not expandable to store everything you needed. The camera resolution was 640x480.

Nokia 5140

Nokia was one of the first manufacturers of rugged mobile phones for outdoor enthusiasts, Nokia 5140 is one of such models. It was announced in 2003, and went on sale in 2004 and competed with the Siemens M65. The case was made of rubberized plastic and all connectors were covered with plugs. Of course, the mobile phone could not withstand targeted throwing on the asphalt or drowning in the lake, but splashes and accidental falls from a small height could not be afraid. Another useful feature of the device was the presence of a flashlight.

The mobile phone had a color CSTN screen with a resolution of 128x128, displaying 4096 colors, GPRS (and EDGE) was supported, and there was an infrared port. Bluetooth was missing. There was a built-in VGA camera and an FM tuner.

Nokia 9500 Communicator

Nokia had a line of Symbian Communicator smartphones in a book form factor. They were quite bulky, but had two screens, an internal one of a fairly large size and a QWERTY keyboard. One of such devices is Nokia 9500 of 2004 release. The smartphone was equipped with a 4.5-inch internal TFT-screen (not touch) with a resolution of 640x200, displaying 65K colors, a small external 128x128, also in color, and weighed an impressive 204 g.

The device worked on Symbian OS v7.0s, Series 80 v2.0 UI, and communication features were provided Wi-Fi 802.11b, Bluetooth 1.1 and IrDA. In addition to this, there was support for MMC memory cards and a VGA camera with video recording support.

Nokia 6230

Nokia 6230 is quite a popular device of Nokia's business line and one of the first mass mobile phones with support for removable memory cards, MMC standard, supplied with 32 MB. It went on sale in 2004. The mobile phone was equipped with a 1.5-inch TFT-screen with a resolution of 128x128 by 5 lines with the ability to display 65K colors. The phone had Bluetooth 1.1 modules, IrDA, a 640x480 camera with video recording support, an FM tuner, and it was possible to download melodies in MP3 format.

Nokia 8800

One of the most popular representatives of the Nokia fashion line is the 8800 slider. The first version went on sale in 2005, was made of stainless steel, and the screen was protected by tempered glass. The 8800 is primarily a fashion device and does not differ in any advanced functions. In the first version, a 1.7-inch TFT display with a resolution of 208x208 was installed, displaying 256K colors. The phone had a Bluetooth 1.2 module, an FM tuner and a camera with SVGA resolution (800x600).

Many people still use both the original 8800 and its numerous subsequent variants that used different case materials, improved the screen, camera module and increased the amount of internal memory.

Nokia N91

The Nokia N91 smartphone is one of the few mobile phones with a built-in hard drive. Hitachi Microdrive 4 or 8 GB was installed inside (in Music Edition). The smartphone was positioned as a multimedia solution, the case was made of stainless steel in silver or, in the second version, black. On the outside of the slider there were mechanical playback control buttons. The smartphone used a 2.1-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 208x176, OS - Symbian OS v9.1, Series 60 UI 3rd Edition.

Modules were present Wi-Fi 802.11b / g, Bluetooth 1.2 (in the 8 GB version, the A2DP profile was supported) and a 2-megapixel camera with a maximum image size of 1600x1200 and the ability to record video.

Nokia 3250

Symbian-smartphone Nokia 3250 received quite a lot of popularity, including thanks to a plentiful advertising campaign and positioning for a youth audience. It was positioned as a relatively inexpensive multimedia solution with support for memory cards and an exotic form factor: the keyboard unit could rotate 180 its opposite side housed the player control buttons. At the end of the same turnable block, there was also a built-in camera; in the shooting mode, the Play button from the player control block was responsible for the release. Camera resolution was 2 megapixels, OS - Symbian OS v9.1, Series 60 rel. 3.0, display - 2.1 inch TFT with 208x176 resolution.

Nokia N93

The lens was placed at the end of the smartphone, which made it possible to place quite high-quality Carl Zeiss optics with a 3x optical zoom and an LED flash. The camera had permission 3.15 megapixels, maximum image size - 2048x1536, video - 640x480 at 30 frames per second. One of the most popular was the Nokia E71 with a wide metal case and a hardware QWERTY keyboard, which made it possible to comfortably and quickly type messages and emails. At the moment, there are quite a lot of Nokia models on the smartphone market that run on the Symbian operating system. These are mostly old models, but they are still sold in stores and collect positive customer reviews. In this rating, we will not use them. We made a comparison of Nokia smartphones that run on Windows Phone OS. That's what came out of it.

1st place - Nokia Lumia 710 ($127)

The first place is deservedly occupied by the Nokia Lumia 710 - this is a rather old phone that has managed to collect a lot of positive reviews over the years of its existence. Until now, it is on the shelves of stores, and you can buy it for about 125-130 dollars.

The smartphone is equipped with a small 3.7-inch display with a resolution of 800x480, a 1.4 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. It uses a 5-megapixel camera with built-in flash and autofocus, as well as a simple 1300 mAh battery.

The characteristics are not impressive, but buyers in their reviews note the exceptional reliability and speed of the operating system. The whole system of this smartphone is simple and fast, despite the weak hardware. Great phone for your money.

2nd place - Lumia 930 ($477)

One of the best gadgets from Nokia, which also received a good camera.

And indeed, the camera here is impressive. Its resolution is 20 megapixels, but this is not the main thing. The camera is called by a separate button, there is optical stabilization, dual LED flash, auto focus, as well as a lot of different settings that will make shooting more interesting and of high quality. Actually, this smartphone will replace even an expensive soap box. And yes, the front camera is great too.

As for performance, it is provided by a powerful 2.2 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. Any applications will “fly”. It is not surprising that the model collects positive reviews on the Internet - it is really very successful.

3rd place - Lumia 735 ($226)

The third place is deservedly occupied by the Nokia Lumia 735 worth $226. This is a kind of middle peasant among expensive flagships and cheap “dialers” from Nokia. The characteristics of the smartphone correspond to the cost.

The model uses a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720, a weak 4-core processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and a 6.7-megapixel camera with auto focus and flash.

The parameters are not impressive, but corresponding to the price - this is the main thing. Buyers note the overall speed of smartphones: 4G, the smoothness of the interface, the speed of launching/closing applications, and so on. It has a pretty good bright screen and a solid body. Therefore, the smartphone takes the third place quite deservedly.

4th place - Lumia 730 Dual sim ($170)

A cheap and practical gadget with a good rear and front camera. It really is equipped with a good front camera with a resolution of 5 megapixels. In addition, there are many different functions for processing the photos taken.

Otherwise, the smartphone can hardly boast of anything unusual. There is a 4.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280x720, simple hardware that ensures the normal operation of the smartphone, but it is unlikely to “pull” complex applications.

Nevertheless, the model is cheap and accessible to a wide range of buyers. Therefore, during the two years of its presence on the market, it has collected many positive reviews. This is a compact and ergonomic gadget for little money. They also note a capacious battery that does not need to be charged every day.

5th place - XL Dual sim ($160)

Strange smartphone costing $160. Its strangeness primarily lies in the software used - Nokia X 1.0. This is a kind of mixture between Windows Phone and Android.

As for other characteristics, they are more than good for their price: a 2-core processor, 768 MB of RAM, an excellent 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-inch display with a resolution of 800x480.

If you are looking for a cheap gadget that can handle everyday simple tasks, then this model is perfect for you.

6th place - Lumia 635 ($135)

You can not ignore this smartphone, because it has collected a lot of customer reviews. This model has two SIM cards and a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854x480.

Surprisingly, such an inexpensive model is equipped with a relatively powerful processor with 4 cores at 1.4 GHz. The amount of RAM is 512 MB. There is also a camera with a resolution of 5 megapixels, autofocus.

Buyers often in reviews indicate a capacious battery that discharges very slowly. Also here is an accurate good sensor, an excellent screen, and the phone itself works stably and does not “slow down”, despite the small amount of RAM. Recommended.

7th place - 6700 classic Illuvial ($160)

This is a classic smartphone that does not run on the advanced Windows Phone operating system. The model has been out of production for a long time, but it can still be found in the respective stores. At the time of compiling this ranking, the phone cost $160.

This is a practical and compact model in a steel case. There is a good 5-megapixel camera, good loud speakers, and the smartphone itself is highly reliable and stable. If you need a reliable gadget that would hold a charge for a long time, then this model is for you.

8th place - E72 ($152)

Everyone has seen this smartphone with a large keyboard. Now you can buy it for an average of $ 150, but you need to hurry, because the model has long been discontinued.

A feature of the smartphone is a qwerty keyboard that allows you to quickly type text. Otherwise, nothing special: Symbian operating system, 5-megapixel camera, 3g support, a wi-fi module, etc.

First of all, such a gadget is very reliable: in the reviews, buyers write that there are no problems with this “pipe” for five years of operation. Even now on the streets it is possible to see people with this smartphone, and it still works, moreover, efficiently and without “glitches”.

9th, 10th - 108, 107 ($35)

Cheap and practical phones. You can't even call them a smartphone. Similar models are sold quite often, because. people buy them exclusively for communication.

These models support 2 SIM cards, are equipped with a screen with a diagonal of 1.8 inches and a resolution of 160x128. Such characteristics make the model very cheap, and this is the first advantage. In addition, Nokia 108, 107 are exceptionally reliable smartphones. They can fall and are unlikely to break when doing so. If you need cheap “dialers”, then first of all we recommend these models.

New old Rating

Nokia / Nokia is a Finnish company that until 2011 occupied the largest share in the global mobile phone market. This success was associated with push-button models, but in the era of smartphones, Nokia has lost its former importance. From 2011 to 2014, Nokia released smartphones under the Lumia frame on the Windows Phone operating system, but this operating system was not widely used, and therefore the success of Lumia smartphones was not great. In 2014, Nokia sold its entire mobile phone segment (including the Lumia brand) to Microsoft. However, in December 2016, the Finnish company HMD Global, together with Nokia, decided to revive the legendary Nokia brand and bought some of the rights from Microsoft. As a result, completely new ones appeared in 2017, as well as a new line of Android smartphones: Nokia 2, Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8.

Nokia 2 - Nokia smartphone with the most powerful battery

The average price is 8,000 rubles. If you follow the serial number, this model should have been the first to come out, but it came out the last of the 2017 models. Today is the second Nokiareceived 33% of fives according to reviews in Yandex Market and 63% of recommendations for purchase.

3rd place.

Nokia 5

There is a fingerprint scanner. As we can see, compared to Nokia 3, this model has a slightly larger screen, a better main camera, more battery capacity, a better processor and a fingerprint scanner. With such a significant difference, the cost of Nokia 5 is only 2.3 thousand rubles more.

Nokia 6

The average price in Russia is 14,220 rubles.

This model received 44% of fives in reviews in Yandex Market and 63% of recommendations for purchase.
