Dialer one
This is one of the most popular and "old" dialers for Android, which has earned a lot of praise and flattering reviews. But we will not delve into history and list the developers (although many thanks to them), but try to figure out what Dialer One is.
Interface
The initial screen is traditional - a numeric keypad and a list of recent calls. If you look at the upper right corner, you will find buttons for quickly navigating to contact groups, searching and sorting calls by category (incoming / outgoing / missed). The application supports Smart Dial, that is, the search is carried out not only by the first letters / numbers, but by the entire number / name / surname of the contact.
It is also worth noting that the "dialer" can automatically connect to Google Contacts immediately after installation, as well as organize them as you like.
Do you remember the days when we asked our main contacts numbers and dialed their number by long pressing a certain button on the numeric keypad. Dialer One implements the same thing as the good old T9 itself.
Importantly, Dialer One works very quickly and is absolutely free application, and to expand its functions you do not need to download a bunch of add-ons, since everything is provided initially.
Functionality
Everything is simple and convenient. For example, using "swipes" on the digital block, you can quickly switch between the call list and the address book.
The application has many settings: you can change the sorting of calls, change the color that the contact is highlighted with when searching, change the theme of the "dialer" and much more. You can add an event with a contact to the calendar.
By the way, the program can be installed on a memory card without any problems, and not on a smartphone's disk.
Peculiarities
Dialer One is simple and well optimized, the ability to flip screens is great, but it's not the nicest and most flexible dialer. However, you should not judge Dialer One very harshly, since it is a free program, the functionality of which is much higher than many paid alternatives.
There are also some bugs introduced in the latest update. For example, the program slows down when searching for contacts immediately after the previous call. In recent ones, it finds instantly, but on the main book it freezes for 5-10 seconds. At the first call, there is no such thing.
So, on the “Contacts” screen, the contact's context menu item “Copy number to clipboard” does not work. Instead, the number is dialed. On the “Calls” screen, the context menu item of the new number “Add to contacts” is sent to the “Contacts” of the phone, but you need to: “Create a new contact” or “Add to an existing contact”.
By the way, there is no possibility of calling using swipes either.
Last update
The app is updated regularly. So, the last update was on August 13 (version 2.1.9), and the "dialer" itself works with Android OS, starting from version 2.2.
It should be noted that there were no conflicts on the most popular smartphone models. However, if you have a “non-native” firmware with a preinstalled or modified dialer, then problems are possible, although, for example, on Huawei Ascend Y200 with custom firmware, the “dialer” works flawlessly.

This function, in my opinion, will appeal to children more, although people with a sense of humor will also appreciate it.
In addition, there are various 3D effects and animations. It turns out that the call turns into something that resembles a screen saver. Video Caller ID is an absolutely useless thing, since you are asked to set a small video (any from the smartphone's memory) to a call, but this is too much.
By the way, the program is completely Russified, and quite high quality.
Functionality
The functionality is very simple - there is nothing superfluous, only the most basic. The application is capable of displaying full-screen notification about everything: incoming, outgoing and missed calls, SMS and e-mail. Pictures can be taken from SD card, photographed directly or downloaded from Facebook.
Integration with Facebook is simple: you can simply select pictures from the social network or link contacts with friends' Facebook accounts, constantly updating their data. If this does not suit you, then take pictures directly from the installed applications on your smartphone.
By the way, for those who do not like swipes when answering a call, it is enough to set the buttons familiar to conservative people, which is convenient by the way. There is a backup and restore of settings, contacts, as well as images.
Interestingly, Full Screen Caller ID can read out loud incoming calls, SMS and emails.
Peculiarities
I would like to note right away that there is no search by name in the "dialer" - only by scrolling through contacts, which is very inconvenient when there are more than fifty of them.
And on HTC One MAX, the call answer button does not work well, or rather it does not work at all, so be careful when purchasing an application for this device.
There are also problems with the Galaxy S4. Users are satisfied with the program, but not with the latest update, after which the screen does not go blank when the phone is near their ear. You have to minimize the application and only then the screen turns off.
Last update
As you can easily conclude from the above, Full Screen Caller ID is well conceived, colorfully framed, but not fully thought out.
So in the last update to version 10.1.1 dated 09/01/2014, work with the Google Services SDK was fixed, that is, what users asked for did not happen, which is a pity. If you throw away minor flaws, then you can indulge in some time, but for serious people the program is hardly suitable.
exDialer & Contacts
What makes exDialer so special? This is a dialer from MIUI custom firmware, available as a standalone app. For those who don't know, MIUI is an open source Android smartphone user interface. The code for the MIUI firmware itself is private. This miracle is being developed by Xiaomi Tech, and the firmware itself is a heavily modified user interface, which lacks an application menu.
Tellingly, MIUI combines the most successful solutions of Android and iOS. The custom firmware includes additional features not found in the standard Android OS, such as toggles in the slide-out notification bar, a new camera, gallery and player, and a redesigned dialer that displays contacts as the user enters a number.
We’ll talk about him now.
Interface
The main screen consists of a traditional numeric keypad and a list of recent calls. Neat arrows indicate the type of call (incoming, outgoing, missed), by the way, missed calls are highlighted in red. Swiping down hides the keyboard. Swipe left / right allows you to quickly call a subscriber or send him an SMS. If the contact has several numbers, then when you call you are offered to set the main one or select them manually each time.
In the program settings, you can change the language, enable landscape orientation, set the action when you click on a contact, and also change the height of the digital block.
Separately, I would note the support for themes, there are not many of them, but they are all very beautiful. By the way, take a look at the ICS dark theme. In general, the design itself is implemented quite colorfully, which will delight the beautiful half of humanity. The main thing is everything in moderation, without the bright and juicy colors loved by the Chinese, behind which it is difficult to see the inscriptions.

Functionality
Now a little about management. If you need to make a quick call or send an SMS, then move the contact to the right or left. Holding down the "Contacts" button in the lower left corner of the "dialers", you will open the list of "Favorites".
If you press and hold the "Delete" button (lower right corner), the call filter will open, which divides the call log into missed, incoming and outgoing calls. The pound key (#) to search by contact number, and the asterisk (*) to display a list of frequently used numbers.
Peculiarities
The program is lightweight, colorful and easy to use, but I want to warn you right away - exDialer & Contacts does not support Dual SIM devices, that is, it simply does not provide a choice of a SIM card for a call, and also does not show which SIM card the call was received on. ... If you do not have root rights, then notifications of missed calls in the status bar will not be removed.
The application does not have its own Caller ID and an independent contact editor, that is, the "dialer" uses the standard "Contacts" editor of your device, by turning off or deleting which, you will not be able to edit the data.
It turns out that this is not an independent application, but a kind of add-on or add-on, as you wish, for a regular dialer.
So, you will have to pay for "beautiful eyes" and speed of work, but not with money, since exDialer & Contacts is free, but with your nerves, if you suddenly want to demand from this "dialer" what, for example, GO Contacts EX can.
There is a paid upgrade to the Pro version, which does not significantly correct the situation, that is, a plugin manager, landscape mode and full screen mode with hiding of the status bar are added.
