If the mailbox is started for work, then, we believe, sending documents and communicating with business partners will quickly run out of free space.

Somewhat confusing is the information about the maximum allowable letter size. The maximum size of a sent message with attachments is 25 megabytes. There is a warning in the terms of use of the service that the file is encoded during transfer, and therefore its volume increases by approximately 30 percent. This, in turn, means that the actual maximum file size that can be uploaded will be no more than 18 megabytes. The maximum size of the received letter can be up to 25 megabytes. If the mailbox is accessed from a region where a keyboard with a Russian layout is a rarity, you can use one of the service's useful tools - a virtual keyboard - to type.

This popular mail service does not need advertising. Perhaps it makes sense for these people to think about why no one has written to them for so long. The strange behavior of the mail service could be attributed to temporary technical problems, but for several days the situation did not change, so this service can be blacklisted as unreliable.

Anti-spam mailbox protection is implemented in several stages. First, when a new message arrives, the obvious garbage is filtered out by the mail service, i.e. messages that are easily identifiable as spam. A characteristic feature of spam, by which the service control determines such messages, is an unadministered sending server. If this fact is detected, the Yandex service will reject the received letter and send a notification to the sender's mail server indicating the reason for the denied access, so that in case of misunderstandings, this problem can be resolved. At the next stage of the scan, emails are scanned for viruses and other unwanted attachments. The scan is performed by the Dr.Web anti-virus program. In the process of sending a letter, an unpleasant situation may arise when the sender himself does not suspect that the letter sent by him contains a virus. Some mail services, when a virus is detected in such a letter, do not let it through. If this letter contained nothing but a virus, such an action by the mail service could be considered justified, but in this case the sender reports some useful information, therefore, after deleting the letter with the attachment, not only the virus, but also the reported useful information in the text. The Yandex.Mail service takes this circumstance into account and acts differently - the message will be rejected only if the letter does not contain text. If the text is present, the mail service will mark this letter as infected. After the message has passed the antivirus scan, a filter starts working that processes new signs of spam - a large number of recipient addresses, the presence of keywords and phrases, etc. Messages that are transferred by the service to the "Spam" folder can be deleted after two weeks. The mail service provides flexible filter settings - by sender, by message subject, etc. Incoming letters can be sorted, automatically forwarded to other boxes. To save traffic, in the service settings there is an option to disable the display of images in messages.
