Huawei's flagships can boast of nothing but cameras, HTC U11 is a glossy, well-polished "shovel" in an outdated design. Remains, who would doubt, Samsung.

And not anyhow, but the Galaxy Note 8, because the S8 turned out to be a "non-flagship" - with a camera rearranged straight from the Galaxy S7 edge, a body in the form of a soap dish, a voice assistant Bixby that does not work in Russia (and many other countries) and a fingerprint scanner "in hard-to-reach places ".

It is unlikely that these same people will suffer from hunger when they profitably sell the old iPhone for 30-38 thousand and get the amount for the new model from the wide trousers. Because wireless charging, a new case, processor, and a revised camera weren't enough to make the iPhone 8/8 Plus take off. An outdated and expensive iPhone model on the day it was released - who needs it?

And the iPhone X is needed because it has only one competitor, largely equivalent: in terms of camera performance, the difference between the X and the Note 8 is small, the display is about as good, Apple's processor is much better, little is known about autonomy, but in all likelihood, Samsung will go into the lead. The iPhone's water resistance is less brutal, there is no stylus (although few people need it), and you can live without a memory card and a headphone jack ... but it's sad.

Truly new habits with iPhone X - unlock without a fingerprint scanner and a speaker and sensor cutout at the top of the display. It turned out ugly, but the piezodynamic under the screen, as in the Xiaomi Mi Mix, does not shine with quality (so much that the Chinese abandoned it in Mi Mix 2), the front camera is at the chin level and the indentation for the sensors in the same place is the same level of insanity as "Neckline" in the iPhone X.

The most economical guys will wait until Huawei and Xiaomi learn how to make frameless flagships, and will buy this kind of commercials for 25-28 thousand on Aliexpress in December-February.

iPhone X is unlikely to be taken as quickly as cheaper models, but it will not remain without attention - Apple fans have been waiting for a "revolution" in mobile phone design for too long, and have long been willing to pay for it.

But the price, to put it mildly, is not average: when ordering from China, Xiaomi will cost only 5 thousand less than the Samsung Galaxy S8. It's scary to imagine how much they will ask for Mi Mix 2 in the official Russian store. And a little more confused by the fact that the "elite Chinese phone" OnePlus 5, which is not frameless, but better in all other parameters, costs 28 thousand. The same is the price of the new Korean LG G6 with a sharper screen, better cameras and water resistance (with an old processor, really).

In general, an attempt to push the flagships of Samsung and Apple against the most expensive Xiaomi model will end up beating the latter in most of its characteristics. And with the Chinese relatives, Mi Mix 2 will compete with difficulty due to impracticality and bad cameras - there is a risk that Huawei Mate 10 with a new processor and 18: 9 screen will be ahead in almost all respects and not much more expensive.

It turns out that Xiaomi has built a fast "cruiser" with a huge screen and good autonomy. Here it is, a replacement for the second generation Xiaomi Mi Note and the only "moderately large" Xiaomi in the 2017 lineup.
