Different sensors perform different quantitative measurements and convert physical indicators into signals that are recognized by the mobile device.

As soon as the announcement of this tablet appeared in the media, I immediately received several letters from our readers with a request to review it. The model really came out very balanced in terms of price-performance ratio, so it's definitely worth talking about.

Appearance, materials, controls, assembly

The Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L lacks stars from the sky in terms of appearance, it is a typical ten-inch Android tablet with slightly rounded corners and a black frame around the display.

On the front side there is a front 5 MP camera eye and a light indicator (there is no light sensor).

On the left, there is a volume rocker and a power button, as well as a microUSB port. On the top end - 3.5 mm for headphones, on the bottom - a hole for a speaking microphone for Skype and other programs.

The back cover is made of matte smooth plastic with soft-touch coating. Thanks to him, the tablet is comfortable to hold in your hands, but it is important to remember that such material collects fingerprints very well. By the way, there is a stub at the back, under which slots for a memory card and a microSIM card are hidden.

Here you can see the stereo speakers and the eye of the main camera. This model has support for Dolby Atmos technology, and if we talk about sound, it is really very good here, both in terms of volume and sound quality, the tablet will perfectly replace an inexpensive wireless speaker.

Two versions of the tablet will be available for sale: white and dark blue, we had just the last one on the test.

On the assembly part, I noticed one feature in my sample: apparently, there is a small empty space between the lid and the insides, so if you press hard on it, you will feel how it is slightly pressed through. This cannot be called a serious drawback, especially since in normal use cases you are unlikely to notice it.

Dimensions

In addition to the growth in resolution and performance of tablets, their dimensions are also decreasing every year, this is especially noticeable in terms of weight. A couple of years ago, the figure of 600-700 grams was considered the norm, but already in 2014-2015 it shifted to 450-500 grams, and Lenovo, with its 509 grams, looks great compared to competitors.

The tablet is comfortable to hold for a long time with one or two hands. As for the thickness, it is, of course, not at the level of leaders, but this model also did not seem thick to me.

Screen

One of the key advantages of this tablet is an excellent high-quality display. It is important to note that few of the famous manufacturers can offer you a ten-inch tablet with FHD resolution and an IPS matrix in the segment under 20,000 rubles.

And the screen in the Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L is really good: viewing angles close to the maximum, a large brightness range and good behavior in the sun. At the same time, thanks to the FHD resolution, it is very comfortable to read from the tablet, even small text looks very clear.

There is also an oleophobic coating here, though not as good as, for example, in the same Apple iPad Air or Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5. The finger slides well on the display, but the prints are not rubbed off as quickly as in these models.

Operating system

The tablet runs Android 4.4.4 and Lenovo's proprietary Vibe UI shell. There are rumors on the net that the model will be updated to Android 5.0, but keep in mind that rumors are not always confirmed. Eldar Murtazin already spoke about the features of Vibe UI in a separate article, those who wish can read it at the link below:

Performance

In everyday use, there are no complaints about the tablet. Tables scroll quickly, the browser works without slowdowns, applications do not slow down.

But with games, the situation is not so good. Although the same Asphalt 8 runs at maximum settings, subsidence in FPS is visible to the naked eye. This is worth considering if you plan to use the tablet for the most productive toys.

Another plus of the tablet is the location of the chipset, even in high-performance games you will almost not feel heat, since only the upper half of the back cover is heated.

Offline work

In our synthetic tests, the tablet shows simply excellent battery life, both for watching videos and reading. With everyday use, you can safely count on 4-5 days of work, depending on the intensity of use of the tablet.

Camera

The tablet has an 8 MP main camera and a 5 MP front camera. Despite the high resolution, the pictures from the main camera are of very average quality, you can see for yourself in the examples below. Video device records in FHD resolution. As for the front camera, it is typical for such devices; in the same Skype, there is no noticeable difference with 2 MP cameras.

Wireless interfaces

The presence of dual-band Wi-Fi has already become a familiar attribute of the middle segment of tablets, as well as support for LTE. But the relatively fast (for the MediaTek chipset) start of GPS pleasantly pleased, as well as the presence of USB-OTG. By the way, voice calls are not supported by the device, and this is clearly an artificial limitation.

Accessories

I saw that you can buy a branded accessory for the tablet for 2,200 rubles. Keep in mind that this money is worth the option without a keyboard, if you want a case with the same keyboard, you will have to pay about 5000 rubles, which already does not look like such an interesting offer.

Conclusion

In retail, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 version with LTE and 16 GB of internal memory is sold for 18,000 rubles. For the money, you get a fast tablet with a great display, very good stereo speakers, relatively light weight, and LTE support. Of the minuses, I will single out only the lack of voice calls and slowdowns in Asphalt 8.

At the moment, this model has no direct competitors. None of the major brands will offer you a ten-inch tablet with FHD resolution and LTE support, there are only a few older models (the same Asus MeMO Pad 10 FHD) that have almost disappeared from the shelves of large retail chains. You can remember the Chinese, but you definitely should not compare them with the large Lenovo. And modern flagships like the same Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, although they outperform this model, are also much more expensive.

As a result, Lenovo turned out to be a good tablet with a chic price-performance ratio without any significant flaws. If you are looking for a ten-inch Android tablet in the sub-20,000 ruble segment, then I strongly recommend this model.

Lenovo in 2015 introduced its ten-inch tablet with 2 GB of RAM, it is called TAB 2 A10-70L. Since the company is known for producing a wide range of devices, ranging from smartphones to laptops, it feels more than good in the tablet market. You can find a large selection of high-quality Lenovo devices from budget to premium. Today's copy at the time of release belonged to the middle price category. Let's take a closer look at what kind of "fruit" it is by reviewing the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L 16 Gb.

Front-camera 5 MP
Battery non-removable, Li-Ion, capacity 7000 mAh
Operating system Android 4.4 + Vibe UI
Net supported GSM/EDGE, WCDMA, LTE (microSIM)

Sensors accelerometer, position sensor, gyroscope, light sensor
Dimensions 247 x 171 x 8.9mm
Weight 509 grams

Equipment

The tablet is sold in a small cardboard box, which shows the device itself and describes its technical characteristics. The diameter of the box is slightly larger than the tablet itself. The package is standard and does not contain additional accessories. So, in the box, in addition to the device itself, you can find a power supply, a cable for charging and connecting to a PC, and all the necessary documentation, including instructions and a warranty card, as well as a list of equipment on a separate sheet. The set is standard, as they say, nothing more.

Design

The tablet is made in an ordinary design without any features - everything is simple and concise. But this does not mean that he looks bad, quite the contrary. The main body material is matte plastic, it is quite durable. The device comes in two colors, namely white and dark blue.

On the front panel you can see a display with a protective glass, above it on the side there is a camera and the company logo. It is by the location of the camera and the logo that it becomes clear that the landscape orientation of the tablet is the only correct one. And besides, a ten-inch device in a different position is not very convenient to work with.

At the top end there is a headset jack, there is nothing else there. On the left you can find the volume and power buttons, they feel great, have a good response and do not creak. Next to the buttons, there is a micro-USB input for connecting charging or synchronizing the gadget with a computer. On the same side there is a hidden slot for a memory card and a SIM card, it is hidden under a special plug. On the right side there are no connectors, and on the bottom there is only a microphone.

The back panel of Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L meets another company logo in the middle. The camera module is located at the top center, on its sides there are two speakers and holes for them.

The tablet turned out to be large enough for a resolution of 10.1 inches. It could come out a little smaller if the bezels around the display would be thinner, but there is a plus in this - the device is more comfortable to hold and there is no risk of false clicks. The case creaks a little, and the back panel is made of soft plastic and flexes when you press it, but only by a millimeter. However, it is worth considering that this adds flexural strength to the device. For those who prefer a hard back panel, you can buy a case with hard walls.

The tablet weighs just over 500 grams, but it cannot be said that the device is heavy. In addition, the device is quite thin, which gives the gadget great ergonomics. The back panel is susceptible to fingerprints, and if it is not so noticeable in the white version, then the spots will stand out strongly against the dark blue background. All this suggests once again that it is better to use a case.

Display

The review of the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L tablet will continue with a consideration of the display features. The screen of the device has a diagonal of 10.1 inches, and a resolution of 1920 × 1200 with an aspect ratio of 16:10. This resolution is enough to get a high-quality picture without explicit pixels. For such a price category, the resolution is very good, which, no doubt, pleases and raises the device one line higher than competitors in the same price category.

The tablet has an air gap, but this is not such a big minus. This is forgivable for a mid-budget device. The color rendition is natural, the screen is bright and juicy, but the realism of colors is observed. The manufacturer has calibrated this setting well. Viewing angles are top notch, which also means that the display is excellent.

The MiraVision setting is built into the tablet, which allows you to adjust many screen parameters. This refers to an atypical adjustment of brightness, but also sharpness, color balance, hue, as well as contrast and color saturation.

The display is bright enough for normal outdoor use, but in direct sunlight the quality may drop a bit. The minimum brightness setting is too high, which leads to the fact that in the dark when using the tablet, the eyes can get tired faster and there is a desire to lower the slider even lower, but this is not possible. You can fix this with third party apps.

The light sensor was not built-in, so all brightness settings must be carried out in manual mode. However, most users already disable it, so it cannot be said that this is a big minus.

It is worth noting that it is still unknown what material is used to protect the display. There are opinions that this is a protective glass, but sometimes it seems that the front panel is high-quality plastic. It is worth considering that the protective surface resists scratches well, but does not have an oleophobic coating, so fingerprints remain easily. Here it is better to use a film.

As a result, we can say that the display turned out to be good and clearly worthy of its price.

Sound

The device received two speakers, which are located at the top of the rear panel and are distributed on the sides, which creates stereo sound or surround sound. Dolby ATMOS technology is built into the tablet, it is designed to significantly expand the sound stage. We can immediately say that Lenovo managed to achieve this. The sound is loud and clear, bass and low frequencies are felt.

Since the speakers are located at the back, it may be thought that this impairs the sound perception. However, they have enough headroom to compensate for the lack of location. While holding the tablet, do not close the sound holes with your hands.

In the mentioned Dolby ATMOS program, deep sound settings are given and there are several ready-made quality profiles.

Also a little about using the headset. If you turn on expensive headphones, then their potential will be revealed by 100%. As a result, we can say with confidence that the sound of the tablet is all at a high level.

cameras

In tablets, you should not expect anything from cameras. And in general, few people use them, except as a front camera for selfie photos or video calls. But in the reviewed tablet, everything is pretty good. So, the main camera received 8 megapixels and has autofocus. In good daylight, the pictures are of acceptable quality, the color reproduction of the environment is normal.

But focusing takes a long time, and when you zoom in, you can see that the detail of the photos is rather weak. If you take a photo in poor lighting, then the quality drops many times over, noise appears.

In the application "Camera" there are many useful settings, if you tweak them, the quality of the pictures may improve slightly. So, the most interesting setting is the HDR mode. It works quite well and is useful in many situations. However, during such photography, it is necessary that the camera is stationary. It is also worth noting that there is no flash, which reduces the quality of the photo in the dark. Videos are obtained, albeit in high resolution at 1920 × 1080, but still the quality is a little lame, and pixelation appears. Despite the shortcomings in the camera, there are also interesting features, for example, the anti-flicker mode allows you to shoot video from the monitor or TV screen without running lines.

The front camera is quite standard and will fit for taking pictures of yourself or using it for video calls, but the video quality will not be the highest.

Memory and memory card

The tablet is equipped with 16 GB of internal memory and 2 GB of RAM. If the RAM is enough for running applications and background processes, then the internal storage may not be enough. The fact is that it clogs up very quickly, and in the version of the operating system installed on this tablet, not all applications are transferred to the memory card.

You can expand the storage with a flash drive up to 64 GB, which slightly improves the situation. In addition, there is a version with 32 GB of ROM.

Connection

Wireless modules are presented in the form of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G/LTE. About Wi-Fi, we can say that it works well and fairly quickly, no problems were identified during testing - the connection is instantaneous, and the transfer speed is high. The Wi-Fi module supports all standards that currently exist.

There are GPS, Glonass and Beidou systems. They all work well with maps.

When connecting an OTG adapter, you can not only connect a USB flash drive, but even a USB-Ethernet network card for subsequent use of wired Internet. This possibility is not present everywhere.

Battery life and performance

The tablet uses a 7000 mAh battery. Despite the fact that the filling is quite economical, a long mode of operation will be provided. The autonomy was tested on PCMark, where the tablet lasted more than 9 hours with above-average brightness and Wi-Fi turned on. When the test was over, there was still 19% of the charge left, which is enough for at least an hour with the same high load.

In general, it will take at least 2 days to discharge the tablet with normal use. Charging takes about 4 hours from 0 to 100%. It is recommended to use the complete cable and power supply, which provide 2A current. Other power supplies may take longer to charge. During heavy games, the charging speed is significantly reduced, so in 30 minutes of playing the charge level rose by only 7%.

The "heart" of the tablet is a MediaTek MT8732 quad-core processor with a clock frequency of 1.7 GHz. This is a mid-range chipset that is quite power efficient. The Mali-T760 MP2 is used as a video system - a high-performance video accelerator, which, however, in this version has only 2 cores, but can support much more.

2 GB of RAM, only half of it is available to the user. In Antutu, Lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L shows more than 34 thousand points, which is an average result. However, in reality, the performance is higher than the tests show. The interface works smoothly and quickly, all applications open without the slightest delay.

In games, the situation is average in every sense, for example, in the rather demanding game World Of Tanks Blitz, it is comfortable to play only at low and medium settings, however, in heavy scenes, there may be frame rate drops.

In well-optimized games like Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat 5, everything is quite good, it is comfortable to play at medium settings, there are no obvious performance losses and lags too.

In simple three-dimensional games, using various runners as an example, performance is at a high level, everything flies as it should. The situation is the same with 2D games, they don't have frame drops.

From all this we can conclude that the tablet, in principle, is suitable for games, but it will come out with problems in especially difficult options, you will need to lower the graphics settings.

Software

From the box, the tablet comes with Android 4.4 operating system, but immediately upon launch it can be upgraded to Android 5.0. To do this, you just need to connect to the Internet, after which the tablet itself will offer an update.

Lenovo's proprietary solution, Vibe UI, is used as the shell. At first glance, there are not so many differences from the standard version of Android, these are slightly altered settings and overused shortcuts for standard applications.

There are no complaints about the operation of the system. Everything works quickly and smoothly. There are no slowdowns during transitions. The entire set of Android features works in full and flawlessly.

There are several pre-installed applications, among which there are a couple of special ones:

  • SYNCitHD. This software product allows you to backup memory.
  • WPS office. This is an office suite, it includes all the necessary applications for opening documents and editing them, creating presentations and a program for spreadsheets and calculations in them.

Outcome

Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L is an interesting offer that fully justifies its price. On the plus side, you can immediately note an excellent high-resolution screen, normal performance for many everyday tasks and support for 3G networks. The most noticeable plus is the excellent sound system, which gives a truly high-quality sound, as well as high autonomy for a tablet with a 10-inch screen.

However, it was not without its downsides. This is insufficient performance for “heavy” games, frankly weak camera modules and the absence of an oleophobic screen coating.

But a tablet is not a smartphone. In general, the considered gadget is clearly worth the money.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L video review

It is better to get acquainted with the tablet and see firsthand how it works, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L video review will allow. The video will finally determine your impression of the presented device.

Lenovo is known for its interesting innovations in the world of computer technology, which, one way or another, attract the attention of many users. However, there are also periods when the brand, instead of launching something intricate, re-releases old models. Of course, we are not talking about an exact copy, the filling changes, the design, display, etc. may become different.

It is about such a device that will be discussed further. Tablet Lenovo TAB 2 A10-30 looks very similar to its predecessor - TAB 2 A10-70. However, if you dig deeper, it turns out that the changes did take place, and with some characteristics - quite significant. So, what is this budget 10-inch tablet capable of?

Design

Anyone who wishes to purchase Lenovo TAB 2 A10-30 will need to choose between two colors: blue (Midnight Blue) and white (White Pearl). The body of the tablet is made of plastic, solid and very high quality. Looking ahead, we note that the gadget behaves perfectly in operation: the parts fit very tightly, so about squeaks, backlashes, etc. no troubles at all.

The cover of the device received a soft-touch coating, due to which it is convenient to hold it in your hands. Thus, you do not have to worry that the tablet will slip out of your hands, which, unfortunately, many other gadgets sin. By the way, the non-staining surface is another plus in the treasury of practicality. In the middle of the rear panel of the Lenovo TAB 2 A10-30 is a small company logo, it is also, but in a smaller size, duplicated on the top frame of the screen. But let's get back to the cover: at the top you can see a large rear camera lens, and speaker grilles are placed on the sides of it. On the right is a small Dolby logo, which looks very stylish.

The front of the tablet PC looks no less attractive than the back. Almost the entire front part is given over to the screen, which is surrounded by a black frame around the perimeter. At the top, the manufacturer placed a frontal webcam, a modern gadget cannot do without it. Of course, we can not ignore the dimensions of the tablet, because it depends on them how much it meets the criterion of mobility. Well, the dimensions of Lenovo TAB 2 A10-30 are as follows: 247x171x9 mm, weight, in turn, is 525 grams. Not bad to say the least.

Display, sound and webcam

As already mentioned, the tablet received a 10.1-inch glossy screen. Its resolution is 1280x800 pixels, and this is one of the main differences between this model and TAB 2 A10-70. Of course, on such a rather large display, Full HD looks more appropriate, but at the same time, when buying a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-30, the user does not particularly lose quality. Yes, the number of pixels per inch is only 145 ppi, and if you wish, you can consider individual pixels. But, by and large, these are the nuances that you can put up with, especially since there are no complaints at all about the rest of the screen characteristics.

In particular, I would like to note the excellent brightness and contrast, because these indicators are very important for a high-quality image. The output colors are rich and realistic, that is, the color reproduction is at a high level. By the way, thanks to the IPS matrix, they do not change even at an angle, which is also very nice. There is no oleophobic coating, the display is covered with fingerprints, but this is a problem for all touchscreen gadgets, nothing can be done about it. By the way, the screen supports up to ten simultaneous touches, the commands on it are executed immediately, no slowdowns and freezes.

It’s hard not to pay attention to the speakers, more precisely, to the grilles that hide them - they are painfully noticeable. Dolby Atmos technology is responsible for the sound and, in general, we have no complaints about it. Given the attitude of this tablet PC to the budget segment, you should not hope for perfect acoustics, but what is there will definitely please you. Bass may not be very audible, although overall the sound is clear and does not deteriorate even at maximum volume. By the way, we strongly advise against placing the device on a soft surface, otherwise the sound will become muffled.

The device has two webcams. The front has a rather modest resolution - 2 megapixels, which, however, allows you to freely communicate through the same Skype. With the rear camera, the situation is much better: here the resolution is 5 megapixels, there is autofocus, so the user will be able to take very good pictures, however, only in daylight.

Keyboard and touchpad

The docking keyboard is not included in the package, but this is a privilege of more expensive models, and even then, not all. However, no one forbids using a virtual keyboard, which is the best suited for web surfing. It is easy to use, given the simple and intuitive interface. The functionality of the keyboard provides for the ability to change the layout, language, appearance (style), etc. By the way, the front of the tablet does not have physical buttons, but you can use the virtual ones: "Back", "Open Applications Menu", "Home".

Performance

The bundle referred to in this review - Lenovo TAB 2 A10-30 TB2-X30L (ZA0D0048RU) - is based on the Android 5.1 operating system. The processor is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909, clocked at 1.1 GHz. It is manufactured according to the norms of the 28-nm process technology and does not differ in special performance, therefore it is usually used in budget models.

In this case, the chip is equipped with Qualcomm Adreno 304 graphics, which is only slightly ahead of the ARM Mali-400 MP4 in its capabilities. The video card is characterized by a frequency of 400 MHz and a basic level of performance. This means that simple toys downloaded from the Play Market will run on the tablet without any problems. Moreover, games from, say, 2013 can be run even at maximum settings. But, as you probably already guessed, with enough demanding modern ones you will fail. For example, most games in 2015 will slow down, and this will have to come to terms.

The amount of RAM in the Lenovo TAB 2 A10-30 tablet is only 1 GB of the LPDDR3 standard. Not enough, of course, while, we repeat, the gameplay does not slow down, and the calculations are performed very quickly. The amount of flash memory is 16 GB, which can be increased by another 32 GB using the built-in card reader.

Ports and communications

This tablet PC has all the interfaces necessary for high-quality work, and now you will see for yourself. So, on the left side there are two physical buttons: the power button and the volume rocker. True, using them is not very convenient, because the keys have moved almost to the back panel, so you will have to grope almost blindly. Next to them is a Micro-USB connector, and a little further away is a microSD card reader and a micro-SIM connector hidden under a flap.

On the opposite side, there is only a 3.5 mm headphone jack. On the top side you can see the microphone, but the bottom is completely empty.

The engineers did not forget about the sensors either, in this case we are talking about an accelerometer and a vibration sensor. As for wireless communications, they are available in the form of Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, 4G and GPS. By the way, there is also an FM-receiver, for which you will need headphones.

Battery

With a built-in lithium-ion battery, the manufacturer decided not to be smart, leaving the same capacity as in the older model - 7000 mAh. At the same time, as you remember, in Lenovo TAB 2 A10-30, the screen resolution is smaller, and the processor is not so powerful and gluttonous. In this case, such technical characteristics only benefit the user, because this means that an already capacious battery will work even longer! According to the promises of Lenovo engineers, with such a battery, the gadget will quietly function without recharging for up to 10 hours of continuous use, as well as up to 117 days of standby time. If you use the tablet for only a few hours a day, it will not need charging for about 5 days. Great, isn't it?

Conclusion

Well, Lenovo did not fail once again: an attempt to launch a budget device with good characteristics on the market can be considered successful. TAB 2 A10-30 received a 10-inch screen with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels, good acoustics and a high-quality main webcam. In addition, among the advantages of the tablet: a good set of interfaces, the presence of a 4G module and, most importantly, excellent offline performance.

Of course, the filling of this tablet PC is not the most powerful, but, firstly, we should not forget that we are dealing with a budget segment, and secondly, what is there is enough for everyday work. Of course, if you want a device that can run modern toys, then Lenovo TAB 2 A10-30 is not the option. But high-quality web surfing, playback of audio or video files, simple games - you are always welcome! Well, what else can you expect for less than $200?!

Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30 is a member of Lenovo's family of budget tablets, which have been gaining popularity lately due to modern technical specifications and affordable price. This device was first introduced in early 2015 at CES 2015 in Las Vegas and is an improved version of its predecessor, which began to gain popularity a year earlier.

Equipment

The compact box for the tablet contains the device itself, a charger, a microUSB cable and a set of documentation.

Instructions and user manual can be found here:

Lenovo A7-30 is a rather interesting budget-level tablet that is suitable for surfing the Internet and watching video content. This device can not be called advanced and very powerful, but it copes well with the tasks assigned to it. The estimated price of Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30 at the start of sales, depending on the modification, will be 170 - 200 US dollars.

The main peak of the popularity of tablets has already passed two years ago, despite the fact that the category of devices itself does not exist even ten. However, this does not mean that there are no suitable devices on the market for every taste and budget. There are simply only those manufacturers who are ready to experiment and work for a limited number of consumers. One of the largest is Lenovo. This company makes devices in all price categories - from ultra-budget to flagship, but at the same time sold at more reasonable prices.

A review of the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L 16GB (or 32gb) tablet will introduce us to a device that is already two years old in 2017, but, judging by the reviews, this does not lose its attractiveness, both in terms of its characteristics, so are the prices. The latter, by the way, was quite tempting at the start of sales, but now, on the wave of new devices in the manufacturer's lineup, it will please anyone.

Appearance and dimensions

The Lenovo 16gb device is available in two color options - white and dark blue. In the last frame around the screen black. The manufacturer has made several hints to consumers on how it is desirable to use this tablet. First of all, this is of course the aspect ratio of the screen. 16:10 in vertical orientation is convenient only for browsing the Internet. For all other use cases, a landscape layout is preferable. This is also indicated by the logo along with the front camera, located on the long side, as well as the headphone jack on the edge above them. Accordingly, already starting from this, the volume control and screen lock buttons with slots for SIM and microSD cards are now on the left short side. If, taking into account such an arrangement of control elements, to hold the tablet vertically, one might really think that a defect has been caught.

There is nothing outstanding in terms of Lenovo 16gb (and 32gb). About 250 mm long, 170 mm high and 9 mm thick. Once upon a time, this was the golden mean, but now, during minimization, the device can seem really large. Plus, it weighs a little more. half a kilogram, which, according to reviews, is not very convenient.

The frames, on the one hand, are too big, and, on the other hand, they are made deliberately for a comfortable game and a strong grip.

The assembly of the device cannot be called ideal . There are creaks, the back cover flexes, there is minimal twisting. But it's all about the size. Getting such a large tablet to be monolithic requires an extra effort that is unlikely to be justified by the price. The overview only demonstrates the features of some characteristics, which additionally need to be evaluated in the context of personal use.

The display is the main advantage of the tablet

Obviously, the screen can be considered the main advantage of the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L. Manufacturers have long understood that this is what needs to be done. main focus. You can use a compromise camera and make the tablet a little larger, but if the picture is not pleasant enough, the consumer will not forgive. This device has a 10.1-inch IPS display. The resolution is even higher than Full HD - 1920x1200. But this is a feature of the aspect ratio. Plus, given the presence of only the software buttons of the operating system, these extra pixels are very appropriate.

The density is 224 ppi, which is very good for a 10-inch tablet, especially considering its price. However, the minus of Lenovo 16gb (32gb) can be considered an extra air layer between the protective glass and, directly, the display. It does not greatly affect viewing angles and other characteristics, but if it were removed, phenomenal results could be achieved.

For fastidious users, the MiraVision utility is provided, which can be used to further customize the screen.

The next important point is brightness. The maximum value is enough for any conditions. This is not a record, but exactly what a tablet, which was originally conceived as a home device, needs. But at least it's a little annoying. It is unnecessarily high, and reading in the dark will be uncomfortable. no light sensor.

There is no exact data on what exactly protects this, such a successful display. Either good glass or very good plastic. In any case, the results of operation are positive, and this is exactly what we need. But unfortunately, no oleophobic coating- this means that sometimes you can experience inconvenience while interacting with the touch panel. Yes, and fingerprints will remain larger than usual.

Performance and memory

Many people leave the review of the hardware platform to the end, but this is not entirely true, because it depends on how all the delights of the screen can manifest themselves in high-quality video and demanding games. How many programs can be kept in memory, and how they will work, in general.

Chinese processor - MediaTek MT8732. Architecture 64-bit with 4 Cortex-A53 cores. The graphics chip is a more efficient Mali-T760 MP2, which, alas, does not work at full capacity with this CPU.

2 GB of RAM is a good indicator for its time, but now, given the fact that this is a 10-inch tablet, it can make it difficult. Probably, all modern applications will have enough volume, but when they are switched, each will be unloaded and launched from scratch. Another 1 GB would not be superfluous.

Benchmarks and practice show that in the process of working with the tablet interface and basic programs there are no problems, but when it comes to games - it's time for compromise.

The top Asphalt 8, World of Tanks Blitz, Modern Combat 5, Dead Trigger 2 will need to be tuned to get the desired number of frames per second. Or be content with the stuttering that comes with good graphics. And again, to understand the features of one review is not enough - you need to test it yourself.

There are modifications of the device with 16 and 32 GB of internal memory. Considering that not the full volume is available to the user, the indicator is too small. Although expandable with microSD cards. But the features of Android 5.0 do not allow you to transfer applications to them completely. With an OS update, this shortcoming could be ignored.

Sound

Returning for a second to the design, it is worth saying that the only attractive design solution is the speaker grill, located on the rear panel on both sides of the camera. This is the usual perforation, which, as it were, crumbles around the edges. But, again, the fact that the speaker output occupies the entire width of the tablet is not an accident. In the Lenovo device there are several emitters at once, forming a kind of sound system. And in practice, it really shows itself well. The only negative is the sound direction from user. But, on the other hand, the device can be used as a replacement for a portable speaker in the middle price segment. Dolby ATMOS technology is responsible for the overall good sound quality, and in addition allows you to create separate profiles for movies, music, and so on. Of course, all these features apply to headphones.

cameras

Subjectively and according to user reviews, this is one of the most useless features in any tablet. Probably, many consumers would agree to abolish it altogether, and get extra memory or a better display for the same price. But it can also be called a certain basic set, without which no manufacturer can do. This device has two cameras: the main one is 8 megapixels and the front one is 5 megapixels. Both are of average quality. And they are only suitable for situational shooting. Don't even expect any artistry. I am glad that there are settings in which, in good lighting, theoretically, you can get at least something.

Operating system

Since, as already mentioned, the device is quite old, it runs on Android 4.4. But now, right out of the box, it can be upgraded to 5.0.1. It is hardly worth expecting further development. Of course, all this is complemented by the vision of the company's engineers, which is called Lenovo Vibe UI. Not everyone likes shells from Chinese manufacturers. Here it is smaller than it was before, but it still catches the eye.

Autonomy and interfaces

Battery - 7000 mAh. An excellent indicator that will give about 12 hours of work without recharging. Given this, even four hours to restore the charge to 100% may seem quite normal.

Of course, there are no problems with interfaces.

  • dual-band Wi-Fi;
  • bluetooth 4.0;
  • LTE support;
  • GPS, GLONASS;
  • the ability to connect OTG via USB-connector.

Advantages and disadvantages

Pros:

  • excellent screen;
  • excellent autonomy;
  • high-quality sound;
  • 3G and LTE support.

Minuses:

  • android 5.0;
  • compromise CPU;
  • no oleophobic screen coating.
  • not enough internal memory.

conclusions

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is a significantly outdated tablet that has a number of drawbacks related precisely to its age and features that were relevant at the time of release. If you close your eyes to them, you get a completely balanced device that will show itself perfectly in everyday use; will give a good picture and will work really long.
