How to watch DVB-T2 digital TV for free?

The main task is that we need an ordinary decimeter antenna aimed at Moscow, and not a house antenna. As such, it can be a regular antenna cable. If the signal is not caught on the cable, you can buy a UHF antenna - there are many different ones and the price is from 300 to 1000 rubles.

If your TV does not support DVB-T2, you can buy an external tuner. It connects to any TV and costs around 1000 rubles.

In order to watch both analog and digital channels, you will need a signal mixer - it is on the video.

An excerpt characterizing the Russian television and radio broadcasting network

- Enough empty talk! - suddenly, quite rubbing his hands, exclaimed "the holy father." - Come with me, my dear, I think this time I will still be able to stun you! ..
If only he knew how well he was constantly able to do it! .. My heart ached, anticipating evil. But there was no choice - I had to go ...

Smiling contentedly, Caraffa literally “dragged” me by the hand along a long corridor until we finally stopped at a heavy door decorated with patterned gilding. He turned the handle and... Oh, gods!!!.. I found myself in my favorite Venetian room, in our own family palazzo...
Looking around in shock, not being able to recover from the “surprise” that had so unexpectedly collapsed, I calmed my jumping heart, being unable to breathe! wonderful years, then not yet ruined by the anger of a cruel person ... who recreated for some reason here (!) today my dear, but long-lost, happy world ... thing, every little thing I love!.. Unable to take my eyes off all this sweet and so familiar to me environment, I was afraid to move, so as not to accidentally frighten off the wondrous vision ...
– Do you like my surprise, Madonna? - Satisfied with the effect, asked Karaffa.
The most incredible thing was that this strange man sincerely did not understand what deep mental pain he caused me with his “surprise”!.. Seeing HERE (!!!) what was once a real “center” of my family happiness peace, I wanted only one thing - to rush at this terrible "holy" Pope and strangle him in a deadly embrace until his terrifying black soul flies out of him forever ... But instead of realizing what I wanted so much, I just tried to get myself together so that Caraffa does not hear how my voice trembles, and as calmly as possible said:
“Excuse me, Your Holiness, can I stay here alone for a while?”
– Well, of course, Isidora! This is now your quarters! I hope you like them.
Did he really not understand what he was doing?! .. Or vice versa - he knew perfectly well? .. And it was just his restless atrocity that “had fun” that still did not find peace, inventing some new tortures for me? !.. Suddenly, a burning thought slashed me - what, in this case, became of everything else?.. What happened to our wonderful home, which we all loved so much? What happened to the servants and servants, to all the people who lived there?!
“May I ask Your Holiness, what has become of our ancestral palace in Venice?” I whispered in a shaky voice. - What happened to those who lived there? .. You didn’t throw people out into the street, I hope? They have no other home, Holiness! ..
Caraffa grimaced in displeasure.
– Have mercy, Isidora! Should you take care of them now?.. Your house, as you, of course, understand, has now become the property of our most holy church. And everything that was connected with it is no longer your concern!
- My house, like everything that is inside it, Your Holiness, after the death of my beloved husband, Girolamo, belongs to my daughter Anna, while she is alive! I exclaimed indignantly. – Or does the “holy” church no longer consider her a tenant in this world?!
Everything was boiling inside me, although I perfectly understood that, being angry, I only complicated my already hopeless situation. But the arrogance and arrogance of Caraffa, I'm sure, could not leave a single normal person calm! Even when it was only about desecrated memories dear to his heart...
- As long as Anna is alive, she will be here, Madonna, and serve our beloved holy church! Well, if she, unfortunately, changes her mind, she, one way or another, will no longer need your wonderful home! - Caraffa hissed furiously. – Do not overdo it in your zeal to find justice, Isidora! It can only harm you. My long-suffering also has limits... And I sincerely advise you not to cross them!..
Turning sharply, he disappeared behind the door, without even saying goodbye and not informing me how long I could remain alone in my so unexpectedly resurrected past ...
Time stopped... ruthlessly throwing me, with the help of Caraffa's sick fantasy, into my happy, cloudless days, not at all worrying that my heart could simply stop from such an unexpected "reality"...
I sadly sank into a chair by the familiar mirror, in which the beloved faces of my relatives were so often reflected ... And in which now, surrounded by dear ghosts, I sat all alone ... Memories choked with the power of their beauty and deeply executed with bitter sadness our departed happiness...
Once upon a time (now it seemed a very long time ago!) At the same huge mirror, every morning I combed the wonderful, silky hair of my little Anna, jokingly giving her the first children's lessons of the "witch" school ... Girolamo's eyes burning with love were reflected in the same mirror , affectionately embracing my shoulders ... This mirror reflected in itself thousands of carefully preserved, wondrous moments that now stirred up my wounded, tormented soul to the very depths.
Right next to it, on a small bedside table, stood a wonderful malachite casket, in which my magnificent jewelry was kept, so generously given to me by my good husband, and aroused the wild envy of rich and capricious Venetians in those distant, bygone days ... Only today this box was empty... Someone's dirty, greedy hands managed to "remove" away all the "brilliant knick-knacks" stored there, evaluating in them only the monetary value of each individual thing... For me, it was my memory, these were the days of my pure happiness: the evening of my wedding ... the birth of Anna ... some of my long-forgotten victories or events of our life together, each of which was marked by a new work of art, to which only I had the right .. These were not just “stones” that were expensive, it was the concern of my Girolamo, his desire to make me smile, and his admiration for my beauty, which he was so sincerely and deeply proud of, and loved so honestly and ardently ... And now now These pure memories were touched by someone's lustful, greedy fingers, on which, huddled, our outraged love wept bitterly...
In this strange “resurrected” room, my favorite books lay everywhere, and by the window the good old piano was waiting sadly alone ... On the silk bedspread of the wide bed, Anna’s first doll smiled cheerfully, which was now almost the same age as her unfortunate one, persecuted mistress... Only the doll, unlike Anna, did not know sadness, and an evil person could not hurt her...
I roared from unbearable pain, like a dying animal, ready for its last deadly jump... Memories burned out the soul, remaining so marvelously real and alive that it seemed that right now the door would open and the smiling Girolamo would start talking right “from the threshold” with enthusiasm the latest news of the past day... Or cheerful Anna will burst in like a whirlwind, pouring an armful of roses on my knees, saturated with the smell of a marvelous, warm Italian summer...
It was OUR happy world, which could not, should not have been within the walls of the castle of Caraffa! .. It could not have a place in this den of lies, violence and death ...
But no matter how indignant I was in my soul, I had to somehow pull myself together in order to calm my jumping heart, not succumbing to longing for the past. For memories, even the most beautiful ones, could easily cut off my already rather fragile life, not allowing me to end Caraffa ... Therefore, trying to somehow “protect” myself from the dear, but at the same time deeply hurting soul memory , I turned away and went out into the corridor ... There was no one nearby. Apparently Caraffa was so confident in his victory that he did not even guard the front door to my "chambers". Or vice versa - he understood too well that there was no point in protecting me, since I could “leave” him at any moment I wanted, despite any efforts and prohibitions he made ... One way or another - no stranger there was no presence, no guard outside the door of "my" chambers.
Longing choked me, and I wanted to run away without looking back, just to get away from that wonderful ghostly world, where every memory that surfaced took a drop of my soul, leaving it empty, cold and lonely...
Gradually recovering from the “surprise” that had fallen so unexpectedly, I finally realized that for the first time I was walking alone along the wonderfully painted corridor, almost not noticing the incredible luxury and wealth of the Karaffa palace. Before that, having the opportunity to go down only to the basement, or to accompany Karaffa to some meetings of interest to him alone, now I was surprised to look at the amazing walls and ceilings, completely covered with paintings and gilding, which seemed to have no end. It was not the Vatican, nor the official papal residence. It was just Caraffa's personal palace, but it was in no way inferior in beauty and luxury to the Vatican itself. Once upon a time, I remember, when Caraffa was not yet the "holy" Pope and was only an ardent fighter against the "spreading heresy", his house was more like a huge fortress of an ascetic who truly gave his life for his "just cause", no matter how it was not absurd or terrible for the rest. Now he was the richest, “tasting” (with the pleasure of a gourmet!) his boundless strength and power, a man ... who too quickly changed the way of life of a true “monk”, to the light gold of the Vatican. He still firmly believed in the correctness of the Inquisition and human bonfires, only now they were mixed with a thirst for the enjoyment of life and a wild desire for immortality ... which no gold in the world (to everyone's happiness!) could buy him.
Caraffa suffered ... His temporarily lasting, bright "youth", presented once by a strange "guest" of Meteora, suddenly began to leave very quickly, causing his body to age much faster than it would have been if he had not tried deceitful at one time " gift"...
Even so recently fit, slender and youthful, the cardinal suddenly began to turn into a stooped, drooping old man .... A whole "bunch" of his personal doctors panicked! the disease devours their beloved "holiness"?.. But there was no answer to this. And Caraffa was still aging “acceleratedly” before his eyes ... This infuriated him, forcing him to do the stupidest things, hoping to stop the time that was running away, which with each new day, transparent grains, ruthlessly flowed through his aging, but still very beautiful, thin fingers. ..
This man had everything... His power and authority extended to all Christian kingdoms. Lords and kings obeyed him. He was kissed by the hand of the princess... And for all that, his only earthly life was approaching sunset. And the thought that he was helpless to change anything drove him to despair!

Caraffa was an extremely strong and strong-willed person. But his will could not restore his young years ... He was well educated and smart. But his mind did not allow him to extend the precious life, so wildly desired, but already slowly leaving him, precious life ... And for all that, wanting and not getting what he wanted, Caraffa understood perfectly well - I knew HOW it was possible to give him something for that he was ready to pay the most expensive price in the world ... She knew HOW it was possible to prolong his elusive life. And the “holy” Pope was maddened by the fact that he also knew perfectly well that he would never get what he wanted from me. The wild thirst for life overpowered any of his human feelings, if any, he had ever conceived ... Now he was just a “sick” person with a single idea, removing any obstacles that came across on the way to his great, but hardly feasible goals ... Caraffa became obsessed, who was ready to do anything for the sake of fulfilling his greatest desire - to live a very long time, no matter what it cost him ...
And I was afraid ... Every day, expecting that his restless anger would fall instead of me on my poor father, or even worse - on little Anna. The father was still in the cellars of Caraffa, who kept him there, not letting him out, but not torturing him, as if he was waiting for something. And it was worse than the most terrible reality, since the sick fantasy of the “holy” Pope (in my sad experience!) had no boundaries, and it was absolutely impossible to predict what awaited us next ...
Anna, meanwhile, was in relative safety, among peace and quiet, surrounded by knowledge, and guarded by pure kind people ... And she could stay there until the unpredictable Holy Pope claimed her.
Deeply lost in my gloomy thoughts, I stopped at the wide open window...
The weather was unusually pleasant - soft, sunny and warm. It smelled of waking earth and jasmine. A real spring was beginning... In the courtyard of the castle, reviving the dullness of its gloomy high walls, juicy young grass spread like a fluffy carpet, on which timid forget-me-nots opened their blue eyes here and there... Sparrows "drunk" from the spring air rushed over the roofs . The world was waking up, opening wide its warm, affectionate embraces to happiness... And only here, in the confinement of a terrible, cruel man, death invariably hovered... I did not want to believe that on such a bright, joyful day in the terrifying Papal cellars people were dying! Life was too valuable and beautiful to be so easily taken away by the wave of someone's "holy" hand.
– What are you doing here, Madonna Isidora? Or do you not like your chambers? - interrupted my sad thoughts inaudibly appeared Caraffa. “I told you not to leave your rooms. I think they are spacious enough for one person?
Dad was not happy. He perfectly understood that it was not worth anything for me to immediately take and “leave”, if only I wanted to. And my "conditional" imprisonment infuriated him, not allowing him to have complete control over my soul.
– So what are you looking for, Isidora? - Caraffa said in a softer tone.
“Nothing, Your Holiness. It's just easier to breathe here. Memories, you know, are not always pleasant... Even the most precious ones...
“Will you agree to dine with me, Madonna?” Recently, I have been missing a pleasant company…” Papa said in a secular voice, suddenly changing the subject.

A multiplex is a package of several digital channels broadcast on the same frequency. The number of channels in a multiplex may vary, but RTRS digital packages include 10 TV channels each. The first multiplex also includes three radio channels. Only 10 TV channels are broadcast in the second multiplex. TV channels are transmitted in standard definition SDTV. Despite the assurances of some unscrupulous marketers, the transmission of TV channels in HDTV format (high definition television) as part of terrestrial digital broadcasting has not yet been made. However, the vast majority of digital set-top boxes and TVs sold on the market support the HDTV format. This means that at the moment when RTRS decides to start broadcasting in high definition, viewers will not need to replace or upgrade their equipment to watch it.

Reception of the channels of the first multiplex is available in the vast majority of settlements in Russia. Broadcasting of the second multiplex is carried out mainly only in cities with a population of 50,000 or more. However, the range of many television towers in flat terrain often reaches 100 kilometers, so if you have a good antenna, both multiplexes can be received even at a considerable distance from the city. By the end of 2018, the launch of both multiplexes is announced at all RTRS towers, the number of which has already reached several thousand. Please note that peripheral towers, which are located in small towns, broadcast only a digital signal. Often, residents of such villages do not even suspect that the TV tower is “next to them” and even a room antenna and a DVB-T2 receiver are enough to receive channels.

Channels of the first and second multiplexes

The list of channels that make up RTRS-1 and RTRS-2 is approved by the government of the Russian Federation and, unlike analog television, it does not depend on the region of residence and is the same for all cities and regions of Russia.

The first multiplex RTRS-1 includes channels: Channel One, Russia-1, Match TV, NTV, Channel Five, Russia-K, Russia-24, Karusel, OTR, TVCenter.

Channels in the second multiplex RTRS-2: RenTV, Spas, STS, Domashny, TV-3, Friday, Zvezda, TNT, MuzTV.

So, let's begin.

Briefly about digital terrestrial television

What is "digital television"? For all those who crave technical details, I immediately send to . And for everyone else, in a simple way: this new TV broadcasting format, which allows you to transmit a television signal in a fundamentally new quality, without interference, with a bunch of additional information, for example, with. And it is already available almost everywhere in our country! And you didn’t know) I myself found out about him recently.

How is this better than a conventional analog signal?

What does this mean for the average user? The picture obtained using this type of transmission will be free of interference, as well as clearer.(if you have a modern TV with a Full HD matrix), compared to a regular, analog TV. In addition, you will immediately catch, depending on what your local television stations are broadcasting, and that.

Don't be confused digital terrestrial television, for example, with . By digital terrestrial television is meant, just, that's what is transmitted through towers through the air, and not through cables. This site is dedicated to digital terrestrial television.

And what is needed for the "numbers"?

And for this you do not need to buy expensive equipment. Enough to buy for a thousand and a half, well. However, you may not even have to buy it. I caught the first digital programs on ordinary "horns" that you probably have at home. True, it was in the center of the city, a couple of kilometers from the Television Center. Yes, and in many modern TVs, receivers are also already installed for receiving “digits”.

Here on such primitive "horns" all 20 channels in the city center were caught at once

And no subscription fee! It really is!

Digital TV in Russia

All this may seem like a divorce, but it is not. In fact, digital television is already in many countries, and now we are in Russia, too. Moreover, there is a whole federal program to equip the territory of our country with terrestrial digital TV towers. And it has been around since 2009. During this time, a great many digital towers have been built, With budget money, of course) So, if you live near a large city, or in it, then you probably already have such a tower installed,. By 2015, they promise to cover the whole of Russia with digital.

Digital television formats

Digital television in Russia broadcasts in the format DVB T2 . You don't even need to know what it means, but remember the abbreviation, especially the deuce at the end. This will come in handy when you have a suitable receiver-prefix for receiving "numbers". Initially, broadcasting was carried out according to the DVB T standard, but today it is considered obsolete. So, look, do not confuse) The set-top box or TV must support the DVB T2 broadcasting standard! Look for this logo on the box:

What do they show there?

Digital TV in Russia is really free, at least the first ones that are currently being broadcast. For further, new channels, a subscription fee may be introduced. But for me, and these twenty - through the roof. Here's what's in there:

Here is what the "number" broadcasts in Russia for October 2014

What else do you need to know about digital?

What else. Digital terrestrial television either it goes or it doesn't. Unlike the usual transmission method, where you can catch an image with noise, here the quality is either there or not. The exception is " friezes" (from the English "freeze" - freezing) - this is when the image crumbles into cubes, or freezes. This happens when you do not have a strong enough signal, or atmospheric and weather conditions interfere. Fortunately, set-top boxes have signal quality and intensity indicators, which allows us almost always.

This is what the frieze looks like

The main site about digital television - rtrs.rf

This is just the official state site on this topic. It is here that they post all the news, as well as the addresses of service centers that will help you, and so on.

To be continued

But do not rush to leave my blog, because then the fun begins! In the following articles I will tell you at home, without resorting to the help of masters, and what to do.

By the way, do not confuse terrestrial digital television (which is distributed over the air) with cable digital television (which your provider transmits to you via cable). This is a site about terrestrial TV, although it is also about cable TV, but this is a completely different story.

The federal program provides for digital TV coverage of the entire territory of Russia by 2015. Already today, many regions of our country can enjoy high-definition television in HD format. But this pleasure is not available to everyone (everyone can watch, but not everyone sees))).

How to find out if your area has DVB T2 signal coverage

Very simple! To do this, we go to the official website of the federal project, in the section " Map of network coverage". You get an interactive map where you can find your location or the nearest settlement by entering them into the search bar and selecting from the drop-down tips:

At first glance, nothing complicated, but there are some nuances did on the knee and did not explain how to use it ) . Let's pay attention to the upper right corner of the digital TV card, and see what is there.

By default, the checkbox " Broadcast points"- in fact, these are the TV towers that broadcast in DVB T2 format, and package of TV channels RTRS-1. This, that is, the first ten information channels of digital television. To see if you are in the broadcasting zone of the TV tower, check the box “Broadcasting zones”, as well as “TVK, frequency”, the map will be painted in cheerful colors:

"Green" towers are working. Here is the frequency and channel number on which the signal is transmitted

If your area is painted, and there is a "green" tower nearby, then everything is probably fine. You will definitely catch the first ten channels at least. The frequency of the towers will come in handy when, so remember it, or rather write it down, like the channel number on which your “number” is broadcasting.

But that's not all.

The fact is that the first and second multiplex are transmitted by different towers and at different frequencies.

This means that, for example, the first ten channels can already work for you, but the second ten - the tower is still being built, and this often happens. It is easy to check this, go to the "RTRS-2 channel package" tab:

The second multiplex - as you can see, there are much fewer "green" towers

We will be shown the towers again, and, most likely, not all of them will be green, as in the first case. Since the first towers were built for the first multiplex, they have been built for a long time and broadcast the first ten channels. But with the second multiplex worse. However, if there are no "green" towers near you, do not despair, click on the gray ones, there will be information about the stage of construction and approximate commissioning.

From personal experience, I’ll say that the first multiplex for a mother in the region arrives from the tower 10 km away, but the second one arrives from the neighboring region, 45 km from her house. True, an external “dryer” antenna is used here, with an amplifier, on a high pole. Naturally, without an amplifier, she does not catch anything.

We get detailed information on the tower. At least it's already built, which means it's about to launch!

At times they slip friezes". However, judging by the map, a tower with a second multiplex is being built nearby, so everything will be fine soon.

I hope now you have figured out how to determine the coverage area of digital television, and have learned how to correctly interpret the digital TV map on the official website of the project. It's time to move on to the next step.
