I've been struggling with this Punto Switcher since its inception. Moreover, new versions make the program worse and worse. The main disadvantage: switching at a random point in time WITH AUTO-SWITCH OFF. How many times have I written to technical support: "with auto-switching disabled, your program should work as if it doesn't exist on the computer at all" - but no, even with auto-switching disabled, they continue to monitor what you are typing (and why? auto-switching is turned off !) and compare with dictionaries - and if your set does not contain a word included in the Russian dictionary, then it is considered English (nonsense! - it was just a typo!) and switching to English occurs. Similarly with typing in English - also with a typo (not in the dictionary!) The word is considered Russian (stupidity!) And they switch. Well, how much this stupidity can be tolerated! The program just infuriates! Switches constantly (although I do not need it).

In this window, you can set your own rules for switching layouts if the keyboard switcher does not respond to any word.
To add a new switching rule, click the button Add…

Function " Consider input only in Russian and English layouts» - allows you to monitor the main layouts. As I understand it, if you work with a different language, switching will not happen.
Function " Do not switch layout using the "Tab" and "Enter" keys- never used it, but they say it helps if the automatic switch does not work correctly with the "AutoText" function in Microsoft Word.
Function " Do not interact with exception programs" allows you not only to disable auto-switching of keyboard layouts, but also disable the program altogether. Useful if you work on a weak computer.

Autocorrect, sounds, diary in Punto Switcher
AutoCorrect
Allows you to automatically replace abbreviations with full phrases and even sentences that you add.
To add an abbreviation to the layout switch, press Add… In the window that opens, fill in the fields "What to replace:" and "What to replace:".
Function remember cursor position ostensibly allows you to remember the position of the cursor after the replacement. I was not able to move it to another place as not to the end of the replaced phrase. After the test, I had to turn it off, since the word in square quotes was also displayed when replacing.
