Program for Russification of programs. Free Russifiers

It is quite difficult to work with programs in English, because not many people know it perfectly. It is even more difficult with other languages. In addition, the program is much more convenient to use if it is in a familiar Russian language.

You will need

  • - a program from the developer, officially translated into Russian;
  • - additional language pack from the developer;
  • - amateur translation of the program.

Instructions

In order to translate the program into Russian, you need to select the Russian language pack when installing the program, if such an opportunity is available. Language selection is usually a separate step. Carefully follow the instructions when installing the program and immediately select Russian from the list.

If you accidentally missed this step, you can change the language in the program menu. Go to the Service tab and select the Language item. All available languages will be presented there. You can easily find Russian as it will be written in Cyrillic.

Sometimes only one language is included in the program. Then you need to go to the developer's website and check if the program is immediately in Russian. Usually such files are marked in the name with the letters RU. When installing such a program, Russian will be installed by default.

If your version of the program is quite fresh, it may not have been translated into Russian yet. After a while, software developers usually release language updates for their product. You can find out about the update on the official website of the program or from the automatic check for updates, if it is enabled.

Download the program update, run it and follow the installation instructions. Sometimes a language pack is a separate executable file. It must be copied to the folder with the program in the desired branch and then run, or in the program itself, in the choice of language, specify the path to the new file. After that, the program will be translated into Russian.

Very rare programs are often not officially translated into Russian. But amateur translations can be found and downloaded on the Internet. Installation instructions are usually attached to the archive with the language pack itself. The installation principle is similar to the standard one. Often, an amateur translation may turn out to be inaccurate or not entirely correct. However, if you do not know English, it will be much easier for you to work in the program, even with an amateur translation.

Almost all really good computer programs are written by English-speaking programmers. Naturally, in Russia there are talented developers and worthwhile programs, however, the problem of Russification still remains. If one of the programs that you need to use has an interface in a foreign language, it can be Russified.

You will need

  • - computer;
  • - the Internet.

Instructions

Enter the name of the program into a search engine on the Internet. You will be surprised, but, most likely, many people have already encountered this problem. If this set has reached a certain amount, then it will be quite realistic to find a crack for your program. As a rule, such questions are always asked in a special service called Mail Answers.

Find out the version of the program by going to the About item in the main menu. Download the crack specifically for your version of the program, since others will not work. To change the appearance of the program successfully, the versions must correspond to the last letter, since the presence of one extra button or menu item in another version will cause the Russification utility to malfunction.

Install the crack using the attached instructions. Some crackers are installed by copying the necessary files into the internal folders of the program, others by standard installation, when the location of the main program is indicated. It is also worth noting that various viruses are integrated into many crackers, therefore, when downloading such files, carefully check them using antivirus software, preferably several times.

Reboot program for the changes to take effect. If there was an error when starting the program or the alphabetic part of the interface is displayed incorrectly, then you have installed the wrong crack. Download and install another version of the crack. If your program does not have a localizer, do not despair. The most problematic and incomprehensible places can be translated using an online translator on the Internet. You might like the speed of google translator.

note

Some software developers are in no hurry to translate them into Russian. You can make requests to request a transfer.

Useful advice

If you want to install an amateur translation, make sure it is from a reliable source and is not infected with viruses.

(editor's choice for localizing "resources")
To make changes to the program, russify, localize (as you like), first of all you need to know which resource of the program you need to edit in order to select an editor with which you can get inside the file and "pick" it. There are many of them, but I warned you that only "mine" is on the site.
It seemed to me that these are the most simple to understand and at the same time functional:
(I will not go into their description, because they are all Russified and in work they are simple HOW TO RAKE :-) PASSOLO v4.0.004 rus 3.9 MB (my assembly)
  • Not without pride - the installer is from me PERSONALLY. From what we managed to "dig" in the network. (Hey-s-s ...)

  • PASSOLO v5.0.005 Russian Edition 9.93 Mb (my build)
New release of this unique "crack"! Oh, and "heaped" into this new version of the "hans-burghers" :-)
  • Again - the fruit of my primitive searches. Full Russian version + Russian Help (based on I. Botvin's Russifier)
You can safely forget about my installer v4.0.004rus !!!
    - For reflection: the official "demo version" 24.3 MB + 4.4 MB Russifier I. Botvin (huge human THANKS to him, for the Russification of the program and even the Help). Well, about "for registration" I do not even mention against the background of these 30 Meters.

  • - So decide for yourself - to download or not.
  • The program is designed to localize (russify) programs (more precisely, their resources) AUTOMATICALLY, according to ready-made dictionaries (glossaries) ...
... stop ... stop ... - this does not mean at all that any "teapot" will install it and begin to Russify everything.
    - Ready-made dictionaries (specifically for PASSOLO) were created by the efforts of the "luminary" NyBumBum, based on Microsoft dictionaries (we bow to both).
& nbsp NB! "teapots"- with their help it is possible to translate only the "generally accepted" formulations: "Open-Close-Copy-Delete" and so on. Translation of a specific program will require a "personal" dictionary from the translation of the old version, a similar program, or you will have to translate everything with "pens", and only then the translated one can be saved into your own dictionary. Is it clear?

Calm ... calm ... (those users who are already familiar with the program).
    - I haven't talked about its benefits yet!
ADVANTAGES OF A LOT !!!, even if you are a "teapot" and started translating for the first time:
    - (once) there is no need to waste time "poking around" phrases that are already clear to everyone, such as "Open-Close-Copy-Paste" and so on.
    - (two) many programmers, not differing in originality, use standard sentences from the "biline" dictionary to describe errors (therefore, previously incomprehensible entry in 3-4 lines) will be translated by ONE pressing of the "auto-translation" button.
    - (three) the program does not just open a resource for translation, but creates a LIST of strings that are possible for translation (here "dummies" usually clap their hands), and everyone else understands why - the possibility of "screwing up" - removing or shifting strings is completely excluded.
    - (WHATS) if you are already "overwhelmed" by some of the programs and there is a desire to chase its updates, that is, you can make a separate glossary (dictionary), to simplify the translation of new versions - chose a line - clicked "auto-translation" and the line will be translated "in the image and likeness" stored in your dictionary from previous versions.
    - (five) there are Russian and English spell checkers - to check spelling and correct translation. Well, when the knowledge of the Russian language of the author of the translation leaves much to be desired ... um, much better and in the word "more" there are 4 ashypks ("ischo" ;-)
... Tired ... If you really are interested - download and get to know this masterpiece further yourself.

Synthesizer for Russification v2.0 rus 1.3 Mb
Universal Translator of resources for Russification of programs.

  • A program for auto-translation, and you yourself "teach" it new words and phrases to simplify the work in the future.
    - Extract the resource (* .rc) for translation from the program with an editor (eg ResHacker), the program translates it according to the prepared dictionary, and then, with the same editor, replace the source of the resource with the translated one in the required file.
    - After her work, you MUST check the quality of the translation (she can translate commands).
  • Stage 2

    (actually localization, editing "resources")
Then it’s a matter of "technique", or rather, having free time, perseverance and diligence - you open the required file with the editor, find a resource for translation and go ahead - change the hated English letters to the "familiar Cyrillic".
  • Note "teapots"! It is naturally impossible to translate everything that comes to hand, but only dialog boxes, menu tabs and "hides" are tooltips. First of all, out of an excess of enthusiasm, it happens that the teams translate :-) Then the price of such a crack is a pittance - the program does not work at all or only partially.

  • I really hope that you are not a "teapot boy" and using Auto-translators like PROMT, Google, Socrates and so on, you will not stupidly change the contents of the lines to that gibberish, obscure, but often meaningless set of phrases that comes from the pen of Autotranslaters.
Respect yourself - take the trouble to formulate the text meaningfully and intelligibly!

So, the final - Stage number 3

    (creating a localization patch)
A patch is created that will "update", that is, make changes in the English version of the program when reinstalling, or on another user's computer. & nbsp This procedure, in contrast to the Russification process itself, requires only a few minutes. Specify the folder with the "old-source" files and "new-Russian" files, give a name to the patch being produced, press the "OK" button and SE ... versions.

Patch Wise free v3.29 rus 2.5 Mb
& nbsp Perhaps one, from the category of free, or rather the "only" MOST-MOST, in this category.
    Everything is elementary simple:

  • we define our settings, graphics and other "niceties"
  • indicate the "old" and "new" folders of the program to be Russified
  • click "OK" ...
  • Drinking coffee ...
  • The patch-crack is ready !!!

  • Note!- Unlike the Restaurateur - this patcher is much more profitable in terms of the compression ratio of the file being made, and in addition to everything, you can change the content not in one file, but in several at once, and in different folders - let's patch an executable file in the root folder, a couple of dlls from child folders, add Russian help, and finally attach a new "bonus" file, or any other "gag".

These patches seemed less attractive to me:

Clickteam Patch Maker v1.2g rus 500 Kb
The essence is the same - comparing the original and modified directories and creating a single file.
    - Can handle directories and subdirectories, i.e. is able to make changes to various files
    - Can make entries and make changes to the Registry
    - Can make changes to shared * .dll - if the library is involved at the time of the change, then the changes will be made on reboot

Note!- Does not back up, that is, does not create a "rollback" of modified files and directories!

Visual Patch Express v1.0.0 rus 1.5 Mb (I DO NOT RECOMMEND)
& nbsp As described by the Authors - sort of like a patcher ...
    - Maybe I misunderstood something, did not have time, could not understand, although I tried different options and every time I got the resulting file for some reason 2 times larger than the source !?

    - Spat, calmed down, poured here and no longer used it.

    Translators

Programs for auto-translation of text using ready-made dictionaries
They are divided into autonomously working (having their own built-in dictionaries-templates) and programs that require an Internet connection to work, because they use online glossaries for translation. The most popularized, one might say "monster-founder" is of course the same ™ PROMT... I am familiar with him, it is stored for all sorts of things, BUT I do not like him and "here I will say" only about my favorites:

Socrates Personal v4.1 rus 5.8 Mb
English-Russian and Russian-English Translator from one language to another.

  • Today he is an old pioneer, from the now large army of Translators, with his own autonomous dictionaries, working flawlessly since the distant 2000s.
  • Personally, I still like it more than anyone else, of which I had to use - ™ PROMT Prof, Pragma, Word Magic Prof, Abby Lingvo, etc.
    - Auto-translation in both directions of both individual words and the entire selected text, using built-in dictionaries.
    - Select the desired text, copy it, click on the program icon sitting in the tray - a panel with two windows opens, in one of which the text from the clipboard has already been inserted, and in the second a ready translation into another language.
  • How many times have you asked yourself how the localization codes for games are created, who makes them, and is it generally profitable to translate the game? In this article, we will select programs and find out how the process of localizing programs takes place and what knowledge you need to have to do this.

    Who is translating the games?

    There are 3 options:

    1. Games are translated by enthusiasts who work completely free of charge for their audience.
    2. Authors are hired to do the work for money.
    3. Employees who work in the studio as translators, often with such people, games can be obtained with high-quality voice acting.

How to translate games into Russian yourself?

If you already have knowledge of the language in which you are going to translate the game, then you are still at the very beginning of the path.

You can translate the games yourself, as many people do, and put them on the Internet. This is how unofficial Russifiers are obtained.

But in this case, you can face a lot of problems.

Firstly, not all games can support the Cyrillic alphabet, therefore, entering the game, instead of Russian letters, we will see a lot of question marks and other incomprehensible symbols. Therefore, many pirates, in order not to suffer with compatibility, simply alter the fonts or write in the English layout "in Russian", which often results in a crooked translation.

Secondly, not all games can be translated in the same way, which means that you will have to look for different solutions to translate the game yourself. You will be lucky if you find a file with menu text and dialogs in the game directory, but this happens very rarely, most often it is deeply embedded in the application. In this case, you will need hacking and data decryption skills, or you can use a program to search for strings of text in a file.

Also decide on what you will Russify. You can limit yourself to only text, but you can also translate the entire game (textures, all text, sound).

As a rule, professional translators know the language from which they are translating very well. They know more than one programming language, because you need to clearly understand how this or that program is structured and written. Therefore, you need to spend a huge amount of time learning the language in order to translate everything instantly, learn programming and spend time in practice, localizing small games and programs in order to go to a professional level in the future and start translating large projects with a sea of dialogues and text.

Also, as a rule, not one person works on localization, but a team that takes on certain tasks and is responsible for their quality. After all, it is very difficult to translate the game into Russian yourself.

Programs that do everything for you. does not exist, this work is painstaking and difficult.

The author will send you a file with dialogs and menu text, which you need to translate into the language you need, and then you need to send this file back. Therefore, the author is one of the most reliable ways to translate a game.

However, there are nuances that may prevent you from taking on the translation job.

    1. The author does not need you to translate the game. In this case, you will have to translate the game into Russian yourself.
    2. The studio has already hired a translator who will soon release a translation of the game, in this case it makes no sense for you to translate this game if it is already released in Russian.
    3. The author will inform you that the Cyrillic alphabet is not supported in the game, in which case the translation of the game is unlikely to ever come out.

What do you need to translate?

Make sure that there are no more localizers on the network, and if there are, then you need to test, find the pluses and minuses and write better than the previous one.

Be able to hack a game or application on your own or using various programs (optional).

To translate the game into Russian yourself, you need to learn how to find fonts and redraw them.

Add pointers or objects when they go out of bounds or offset other objects.

If this game is for the console, then you will have to look for special emulators for translation.

    Russification programs

Multilizer is a powerful program for creating industrial-scale localization programs and documents. The system has a huge set of tools for high-quality and fast translation.

OgreGUI is a resource editor for programs, games, documents, a distinctive feature of which is scanning the application line by line.

How to translate an "Android" game into Russian?

To do this, we need a notepad ++ editor, and we also need to be able to compile and decompile apk files.

    Setting up notepad ++.

After successfully decompiling the application, you need to go to the RES folder.

There you will see the values folders with prefixes, for example, -en.

Go to the values folder, where we copy 2 files: strings.xml and arrays.xml.

Create a folder values-ru and paste these documents into it.

What do you need to know before Russification?

In the end, to translate a game into Russian yourself, you need a lot of time and effort, to improve your knowledge every day. So you can go from a beginner to a professional and become a sought-after translator of games and applications for different devices. Be patient and get more and more new knowledge and you will definitely succeed.

The application development process is a very expensive and time consuming process, and it can take a lot of effort, money and time to develop one program. That is why very often programmers forget to localize programs into Russian. But thanks to the programs that are presented in this list, it is now easy to Russify programs.

Programs for translating programs may not be tools specially created for this, but the most common "resource thieves" if they know how to change resources, and not just get access to them. Most of the programs on this list were not developed for localization, however, they can be done with the help of them.

The simplest version of the crack. Of course, it was designed as an easy way to access software resources, but the skillful hands of users have found a better use for it. There are no pluses in it, as such, but there are minuses. For example, it has not been updated for over 10 years, and its functionality is no longer happy, since eXeScope cannot get full access to all resources.

    PE Explorer

This program is one of the most powerful ways to access program resources. It has a very wide functionality, and it gets a "pass" in almost all parts of the program, which allows you to translate, even untranslatable. An intuitive interface and the ability to recognize a virus even before launching programs makes it even more attractive.

    Resource Hacker

Resource Hacker is a bit like PE Explorer, at least in terms of functionality. Thanks to this program, you can also access many resources, thereby translating more phrases and words. In addition, you can write your own scripts in it, which can then be installed directly into the program as a separate resource (this is probably how viruses get into programs).

    LikeRusXP

LikeRusXP was developed specifically for the translation of programs, in contrast to the three previous programs. It does not have a large set of functions, as in Multilizer, but it has built-in translators and even its own glossaries that can be supplemented. However, this program for Russification of programs is free only for a while.

    Multilizer

At the moment, this is the most powerful program for translating programs into Russian. Unlike Resource Hacker and similar "resource thieves", she gets access to just those that need or possibly translate. Has several importers, including "google-translate". Thanks to the importers, you can organize auto-translation, or take care of translating each line manually.

The list of these programs was compiled specifically for those who cannot learn a foreign language in any way, because now you have the opportunity to translate almost any program yourself. The most suitable, but also the most expensive tool for this is Multilizer, although someone may like another program. Or maybe you use localization software that isn't on this list?

Today we will start the first lesson where this free analogue of Photoshop will be installed on a computer. First you need to download artweaver for free from the link provided at the end of this tutorial. Do not be afraid if it seems to you that you will not be able to install the program on your own. Acting according to our instructions, everything should go "perfectly", and if you have any questions, ask either in the comments or through the contact form, indicating what reason you want to ask a question.

So, after you download the archive, you need to unpack it, for those who do not know how to use archivers, a lesson on how to unzip a zip file will be useful.

After you unzip the archive, you will see that there are two files in the folder - Artweaver.exe (the program itself) and Artweaver_RU.lng (its crack).

    Program installation

Now you can start installing. To do this, go to the Artweaver.exe installation file, on which you need to click 2p LMB. Next, a small window for choosing a language appears, in which you simply click "OK", because Russian language is not provided in the package by default.

In the next windows, click the "next" button, after which you need to check the "I accept the agreement" box, which means your agreement to comply with the license rules, and click "next" again.

The installation wizard will then ask you for the installation location. By default, the program will be installed on your drive, where you have other programs, that is, drive C along the path, into the Program Files folder and the Artweaver Free 3.0 subfolder. If you have specified a different path and not C: \ Program Files \ Artweaver Free 3.0- be sure to write it down on a piece of paper, this information will be useful for translating the program into Russian. So, without changing the installation location and other parameters, at all the next stages of installation, press the same "next" until the message "install" appears at the top of the form, and press it (1p LMB).

The program will start installing on your computer. By the way, I want to note that this free analogue of Photoshop is very light and not demanding on resources, so it is perfect even for low-power laptops.

The last stage of the installation is a message that the installation is complete, and in this form you need to uncheck the box and click on the "finish" button.

After that, on your desktop, you will see a shortcut to this wonderful analogue of Photoshop.

Translation of the program into Russian

Now you just have to translate the program into Russian. To do this, you need the second file from the downloaded archive Artweaver_RU.lng. This file must be placed in the folder with the program. For this, it was necessary to write down where the program was installed.

Copy the file Artweaver_RU.lng, for which stand on it, press 1 time with the right mouse button, and then select the line "copy". Then follow the path C: \ Program Files \ Artweaver Free 3.0 (open drive C, in it the Program Files folder, and then the Artweaver Free 3.0 folder.). The last folder will contain many files and folders. We are interested in the Languages folder, and open it.

Then we just stand on any empty places in this folder, right-click the mish, and then select "paste". The file Artweaver_RU.lng should appear in your Languages folder. this was the end of the first and most difficult stage of translation.

Now open the program through the shortcut that appeared on your desktop. For those who have forgotten, read the article on our website for retirees.

After the program opens, you may have a small window in the middle, where in English you are prompted to buy the paid version. To prevent this window from appearing in the future, put a small check mark at the bottom of the window, and click "close"

Everyone, congratulations. Your torment is over and you can now learn Artweaver lessons. Don't worry if, after all the effort, you don't see Russian right away. Just close the program and reopen it.

This concludes the first lesson, the following artweaver lessons will be published in the near future. Respectfully yours, site for retirees It's not a problem for us. (Jcomments on)
