  • black and white screen with rounded corners;
  • on the right side there are power and speed dial buttons;
  • on the left side there is a connector for the charger, as well as an emergency call button;
  • the back panel of the watch is equipped with a watch removal sensor;
  • The display shows the current time, date, network signal, battery level, and the number of steps taken by the child.

Q50 watch program

In order for parents to set up a smart watch and receive information about the location of the child, a special SeTracker program is needed, which can be installed on a smartphone for free. It performs the following main functions:

  • exchanging voice messages between a smartphone and a watch;
  • a card with a child's location sensor (information about the charge level of the smart watch is also displayed here);
  • viewing information about the number of steps taken;
  • record of the route of movement, which can be displayed both statically and dynamically;
  • all device settings;
  • setting a zone in which the child is allowed to stay (when he leaves it, parents receive a corresponding notification);
  • the ability to send virtual hearts to a child as a reward;
  • an event log that saves all actions performed with the watch;
  • setting an alarm or reminders to be displayed on the watch;
  • the ability to search for hours through if they are lost.

Choice of mobile operator

A prerequisite for the operation of such a device as a children's watch with a Q50 tracker is the presence of a SIM card from a mobile operator. It has a number of requirements, namely:

How to set the clock

Setting up the Q50 children's watch is a rather lengthy and complex process that requires time and concentration. So, if you purchased a similar device for your child, before starting work, you should do the following:

  • using the screwdriver that is included in the package, remove the back cover, insert the SIM card into the module and screw the bolts back;
  • install the SeTracker app on your smartphone or tablet; go through the registration procedure (you need to enter a phone number, email address and access password);
  • select the region of action "Europe and Africa"; in the window that opens, fill in the appropriate fields:
    • The device ID is a 10-digit code that is printed on the back of the watch;
    • login is a combination of phone number and e-mail that will be used to enter the program;
    • the name of the child is needed in order to display it on the map;
    • then enter the telephone number assigned to the SIM card, which is installed in the clock module;
    • password to enter the program (you will need to enter it twice);
  • click the "OK" button and go to the main application settings, which include the following items:
    • SOS - enter 3 phone numbers that can be reached by pressing the emergency and quick call buttons;
    • "Callback" - in this field you need to enter your number so that without the knowledge of the child, the clock makes a call on its own (so that parents can hear what is happening around the child);
    • "Hours of Operation" is the frequency at which inquiries about the child's whereabouts will be made;
    • "Do not disturb" - the time at which calls to the clock are not possible (for example, during the period when lessons are being held);
    • "Message settings" - you need to enter your phone number again, to which alerts will be sent;
    • "Allowed numbers" - 10 telephone numbers from which calls can be made to the watch;
    • "Phone book" - numbers that the child can call using the watch;
    • setting the language and time parameters;
    • activation of the take-off sensor.

Why the Q50 is better than a cell phone

With the advent of mobile phones, it has become much easier to track and locate children. However, in terms of their functionality, they cannot be compared with such a device as the Q50 watch. The manual contains information about many features that are not available on the phone. So, the disadvantages of a smartphone and the advantages of a watch can be represented as follows.

Phone or smartphone Smart watch with tracker
  • children tend to follow fashion, having modern smartphones, which, in turn, attract the attention of robbers;
  • due to games and other additional programs, the phone can quickly run out of power at the most inopportune moment;
  • using the Internet and other functions, the child may be distracted in the classroom;
  • the possibility of calls from strangers (including scammers) is not excluded;
  • high risk of losing an expensive gadget.
  • in order to contact parents in an emergency, just press one button;
  • about all the actions of the child that go beyond the established rules, parents receive notifications;
  • outgoing and incoming calls are allowed only for those contacts that are entered in the phone book;
  • when the charge drops to a critical level, parents receive an SMS reminder about the need to connect the battery to a power source;
  • the child cannot independently turn off the Q50 GPS watch;
  • the watch is securely attached to the hand, and therefore it will not interfere with active games and will not be lost.

How to recognize a fake

The Q50 kids smart watch is a high-demand product that is getting more and more popular every day. In this regard, more and more low-quality fakes appear on the market. In order not to fall for the tricks of scammers and buy a really high-quality product, you should know the following:

  • counterfeit watches may not work on the territory of Russia and other CIS countries, as they are "stitched" exclusively for functioning in China;
  • unlicensed copies have the same ID, while real watches have an individual one;
  • a real children's watch with a Q50 tracker has a bright display, the clarity of the image on which does not depend on viewing angles;
  • in the original version of the watch, there is always an option to select the Russian language, while the fake has only a Chinese interface;
  • outwardly, you can distinguish the original from the fake by color (for a fake gadget, different elements may differ in shade);
  • if smart watches have distortions and backlashes, then most likely they are fake;
  • high-quality sound without interference is provided only by the original version of the smart watch;
  • for fake watches, the sensor for removing the device from the hand does not always work (sometimes it is completely absent);
  • counterfeit watches that have not gone through the appropriate research are characterized by an increased level of radioactive radiation;
  • A low-quality battery can explode, resulting not only in damage to the device, but also in personal injury.

How not to buy a fake

Watch-phone Q50 is a useful and simply necessary device for modern children. However, only the original device can perform all functions in full force. To reduce the risk of acquiring a fake, follow these rules:

  • if we are talking about a stationary outlet, give preference to trusted places with a good reputation;
  • if one of your friends has already made such a purchase, carefully inspect the gadget - if there are no signs of falsification on it, ask for advice on the place of purchase;
  • study as many video reviews as possible to get an idea of what the original product looks like;
  • when ordering goods on the Internet, give preference only to proven resources (even if the cost of the goods is higher);
  • do not trust sellers who offer you a similar product for less than 3,000 rubles;
  • require that upon purchase you be provided with a complete package of documents, namely:
    • quality certificate;
    • certificate of receipt by the seller of accreditation and its entry into the relevant register;
    • warranty card for a period of at least 12 months;
    • instructions for the product in Russian;
    • a sales receipt with all the necessary details and a seal.

Common Parent Questions

There is nothing surprising in the fact that parents have certain concerns about any gadgets with which their child interacts. So, some questions arise in connection with the use of:

Question Answer
Is there a risk of the clock signal disappearing?Signal loss is possible only if there is no cellular connection in the place where the child is. In any case, parents receive an SMS notification with the coordinates of the place where the signal disappeared.
Is it possible to observe the history of movements?The beacon on the map shows the movement of the child in real time. It is also possible to view the history.
Will the child be aware that he is being controlled?A smart watch can be presented to a child as a fashion accessory and a means of emergency communication with parents. Nevertheless, the level of technical literacy of modern children contributes to the fact that the child can guess the additional functions of the device.
How long does a battery charge last?Depending on the intensity of use of the device, the battery lasts from 1 to 3 days.
What is the product package?In addition to the watch itself, the branded box also contains a charger and instructions in different languages.
How does the secret call function work?In order to use this function, you need to enter your phone number in the corresponding program. Thus, without the knowledge of the child, a forced call will be made from the clock to the phone of the parents. After answering the call, you will hear everything that happens. In turn, the child will not hear you.
What is the button for? SOS? In an emergency, when it is difficult for a child to navigate, it will be enough to press just one button to contact the parents. 3 numbers can be assigned to this function. If you do not get through to one of them, the watch will immediately forward the call to another. This will continue until one of the parents answers the call.

Positive reviews

Quite popular is such a gadget as the Q50 - a children's watch. Reviews about this product contain a number of positive comments, namely:

  • excellent satellite signal reception;
  • in case of low battery, a corresponding SMS notification is sent to the phone;
  • with active use, the battery charge lasts up to 4 days;
  • good audibility during a conversation;
  • in addition to navigation, there are many useful additional functions;
  • there is a small screwdriver in the kit, which can be useful in case of breakage;
  • soft silicone wraps around your hand comfortably;
  • convenient control from a smartphone using a special program;
  • if the child took off the watch, an SMS notification arrives;
  • if the watch is lost, you can use the search function (they will start beeping);
  • there is a built-in pedometer;
  • when a child leaves the allowable zone, parents receive an alert;
  • it is possible to send voice messages;
  • fast battery charging (about an hour).

Negative Feedback

Despite the mass of positive characteristics, one should not neglect the disadvantages of such a device as the children's Q50. User comments contain the following information:

  • there are many fakes on the market that are quite difficult to distinguish from the original at first glance;
  • the silicone from which the strap is made gets dirty quickly;
  • the plug of the connector for the charger is not firmly attached;
  • the designations printed on the keys are quickly erased;
  • when the device is not outdoors, but indoors, localization may be inaccurate;
  • the battery is not firmly fixed;
  • in order to insert a SIM card into the watch, you need to unwind it (it's good that there is a mini-screwdriver in the kit);
  • you can charge the watch only from a computer (there is no adapter for the mains);
  • you can enter no more than 10 contacts in the notebook;
  • poor hearing during phone calls.

Output

In today's world, the Q50 is simply a necessary purchase. Modern children quickly get used to independence and do not tolerate interference in their personal space. And as for a mobile phone or smartphone, it is not always convenient to carry it with you (especially for active children). In this situation, a smart children's watch with a tracker will come to the rescue. For parents, this is a way to always be aware of the whereabouts of their child, and for children, this is a stylish and useful accessory.

Smart watch apps are available for iOS and Android parent devices and for Wonlex Smart Baby Watch models d100, d99, df25, q100, q200, q50, q60, q80, q90, Life Button, Abardeen, Titan Watch, JET Kid, Beacon , CARCAM, KIKO, Jetix DF50, Ginzzu GZ-507, Indee D26C, ZGPAX S668. Children's smart watches Smart Baby Watch Q50 with a GPS tracker, or, as they are also called, Wonlex Q50, are quite popular among parents. However, some users may encounter difficulties in the initial setup. Our instruction in Russian will answer the most common questions: how to set up a children's smart watch with GPS Q50, how to connect it to a smartphone, how to set the time on the watch, and we will also help you prepare the gadget for use.

The Baby Watch must be set up before it can be used. It doesn't take long to set up and set up the Q50 watch.

In addition to the device itself, you will need:

  • Micro-SIM standard SIM card with a positive balance
  • Smartphone or tablet with constant Internet access

Insert SIM card

  1. Activate the SIM card using a smartphone or regular phone
  2. Disable PIN code request and automatic loading of the operator menu on the card
  3. Top up your account and make sure the balance is positive
  4. Activate the Internet service on the SIM card (optional 3G, preferably unlimited 2G (GPRS/EDGE).
  5. Insert the SIM card into the slot, then turn on the watch. To install a SIM card, you will have to disassemble them, as shown in the images below.

Subsequently, you will be able to replenish your account remotely through your bank's application, online payments or using scratch cards.

The main thing is to save the clock number.

Purpose of the buttons

The watch looks like a tight bracelet with a display, three buttons on the right and one on the left, next to which there is a USB charging port under the cover.

The first button is one of the main functional ones. With it, you can make a call to the first programmed “hot” number by long pressing it. It is also a volume up key and a way to move up through the phone book.

The second button also serves for outgoing calls. Holding this button will call the second programmed party. A short press brings up the contact list and moves down through it. When the child moves through the list of contacts, you can call the selected number by long pressing this button.

The third button is on / off and call rejection. It must also be held down to record a voice message. It is worth noting that voice SMS from the parent's smartphone is transmitted to the watch using the Internet through an application (like a chat), and not through a mobile operator.

SOS button (left): just press it in an emergency, so that the watch starts contacting the phones of the closest people and sends a signal. These numbers do not need to be selected or dialed, they are pre-set through the application.

How to call from Q50

Through the phone book:

  • press button number 2, we get into the phone book
  • select a subscriber by moving through the list of contacts with buttons No. 1 and No. 2
  • stay at the selected room
  • hold down button number 2 - there is a call

Quick call (button No. 1 - mom, button No. 2 - dad):

  • press and hold the first or second button until the call is made

Despite the fact that the screen of the device is black and white, it conveys all the necessary information: time, number of steps, date, network status, battery indicator, voice messages and other indications in the form of icons. To make it easier for you to understand the notation, look at the table:

How to register Smart Baby Watch in the app

To register the watch, it must be connected to the parent smartphone via the software. Which program for the Q50 watch is better is difficult to answer unambiguously: each user has his own preferences. In fact, all beacon programs work identically. We recommend a free software called SeTracker 2. There is a simple registration procedure.

The official Q50 watch app is available for iPhone and Android smartphones. Through it, you can contact your child, track the location using GPS or send a voice message.

  1. Sign in to AppStore or Google Play
  2. Search for “SeTracker 2”
  3. Install the official SeTracker 2 app
  4. Launch the application
  5. Select your region (in our case - Europe and Africa) and language
  6. Click the "Register" button and fill in all the fields with data

  • License. Here you enter the identification code of the device, which is printed on a sticker glued to the back of the watch case or on the packing box. This combination of numbers is also called a code. Do not confuse it with the IMEI, which may also be listed on a different sticker. If there is a QR code, it is better to scan it by clicking on the scan icon in the "license" field on the right side.
  • Check. Your email address for registration. This is also a login. It is also needed in case of password recovery if you forget it.
  • Nickname. Nickname or name of the device owner. It has a length of 4 to 16 characters, may include letters of the Latin alphabet.
  • Password. It can only consist of numbers and Latin letters. Its length is from 6 to 12 characters. Memorize it securely or write it down.
  • Password confirmation. The Smart Baby Watch app will require you to re-enter your password to ensure you remember or write it down.

After filling in the fields with the required information, specify the Europe and Africa region again.

After all these procedures, the smartphone and watch will connect automatically. If the phone does not see the clock or you encounter other difficulties, we advise you to read.

Setting up the Q50 smart watch in the SeTracker app

The SeTracker application is the main control and management tool. Through it, you can set all the necessary settings for the Q50.

  • SOS numbers. Here you prescribe the numbers of the people closest to the child (parents or other relatives). They must be written in 10-digit (national) format, without an international code. If you press the SOS button on the watch, the device will call these subscribers in turn.
  • Back call. This name hides the real wiretapping mode. When you want to hear what your child is doing, you dial them from the app and the device calls back to the specified number. While listening, the Q50 will not respond to commands. The child may regard this as a breakdown of the device. However, more advanced children may, by the lack of reaction, understand that they are being listened to. Therefore, use this mode carefully.
  • Operating mode. Here you can choose how often GPS data is sent to your device. The more often you transmit GPS information, the more accurately you will know where your child is. But this feature drains the battery quickly. There are 3 options for sending GPS data: once a minute, once every ten minutes, or once an hour.
  • Reports. This section will help you when a child enters the premises and loses the GPS signal. At this point, the watch switches to LBS mode (positioning by a signal from base stations), which reduces the accuracy. In the "Reports" section, you can see the last location recorded by GPS (usually this is the entrance to the premises).
  • SMS setting. Enter here the phone number to which Q50 will send SMS in case of emergency (for example, if they have been removed from the wrist, the child has left the safe zone, or presses the SOS button). If you did not enter your contacts in the "wiretapping" item, in this case the watch will use the number from this section to call it back.
  • Contacts. Q50 have a built-in whitelist filter: they only accept calls from certain contacts, the rest are rejected. The contact numbers that are allowed to communicate with the watch are set in this section. As usual, they must be saved in the national 10-digit format.
  • Phone. Baby Watch can also make outgoing calls, but the phones that can be called from them are also strictly defined in the application. Subscribers are selected from the list with button 2.
  • language and time. At this point, you need to set the time, select the language and location. When the watch connects to the Internet, it automatically downloads the exact time.

Voice messages and rewards

Through your smartphone, you can not only call or receive calls to a child's device, but also send a voice message. The watch's own memory is enough to receive and store messages. The child will be able to listen to the message when he is in touch, and then he will be able to record and send a response.

Another nice feature is sending rewards, or encouraging hearts. So you can say “thank you” with one touch or just show that you love your son or daughter. How to send, read.

User Frequently Asked Questions

Before using the device, some parents search the web for information so that they know what they will encounter while using it. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the most common user questions.

How much internet do you need?

In order to transfer data to the application, as well as receive commands through the program, Q50 uses mobile Internet SIM-cards. Based on one month, according to the manufacturer Wonlex, they need 30 MB of Internet traffic. According to user reviews, they consume the minimum amount of traffic: within 10 minutes, 2 KB per transmission + unscheduled requests - from 4 KB to 91 KB.

How fast does the battery drain?

According to the manufacturer, the Q50 charge should last up to 4 days in standby mode and up to 6 hours in talk mode. But you should be aware that if the device uses GPS to determine the location of the child, the battery life will be significantly reduced, especially if the signal update mode is set to every minute. Alternatively, you can use LBS. What is it, read here.

How to reset to factory settings?

You can reset the Q50 to factory settings using an SMS command that is sent to the phone number in the watch in the form of a combination of pw, 123456, factory #.

How to set the time?

When you connect the watch to your smartphone through the installed software, the time should be set automatically via the Internet. But if this does not happen, you can also use an SMS command by sending it from your phone to the Baby Watch number. In the text of the message, type the combination pw,123456,time,Hour.Minute.Second,date,Year.Month.Day#.

For example: pw, 123456, time, 18.46.59, date, 2017.09.17#.

The main way to set the time on the Q50 is the correct setting in Setracker in the "Language and Time" section. See details with illustrations.

How to enable GPS on the watch?

Turning on GPS in the Q50 will not work, because it is not provided. This built-in technology works all the time and automatically searches for a satellite when the device is outdoors. If the GPS does not work, it means that the Baby Watch did not pick up the satellite signal in an enclosed space.

How to charge?

You can charge children's watches from a micro-USB charger that comes with a laptop or PC. Since the battery in them is of small capacity (420 mAh), it quickly gains charge even from a not very powerful source. Do not use fast chargers and do not charge from the mains, so as not to overload and damage the battery.

If the watch does not charge, then you need to establish the reasons: the battery has deteriorated, the battery has become wet, or the contacts are damaged. In this case, it is worth contacting the repair. Often the reason may lie in a damaged charging wire.

Sometimes, in order to see the indicator during charging, it is necessary for the battery to gain a little energy. Do not immediately pull out and re-insert the USB cable into the device. Wait a while.

How to turn off Q50?

To prevent the child from accidentally turning off the watch with the button, this function is deactivated. With the on/off button, they can only be turned off if no SIM card is inserted. You can turn off the Q50 in the application through the menu item "Remote shutdown" or by sending an SMS command pw, 123456, poweroff # to their number.

Problems connecting Smart Baby Watch Q50 to the Internet

It is possible that if the SIM card was purchased specifically for the Q50 and was not used in an "adult" device, you will have to set up the Internet on it. To do this, you need to send a special service SMS message to the phone number of the watch. The numbers 123456 do not replace any other combinations, but are used "as is".

For Russia:
MTS: pw, 123456, apn, internet.mts.ru, mts, mts #
Beeline: pw, 123456, apn, internet.beeline.ru, beeline, beeline#
Megaphone: pw, 123456, apn, internet, gdata, gdata #
Tele2: pw, 123456, apn, internet.tele2.ru#
Eta: pw, 123456, apn, internet.yota #
SMARTS: pw, 123456, apn, internet.smarts.ru#

Life: pw, 123456, apn, internet #
MTS: pw, 123456, apn, internet #

After the watch receives the SMS commands and applies them, a response message should come to your phone. This means that the setup was successful. Now reboot (turn off and on) the Q50. Now the Internet should work correctly on them.

If the response SMS does not arrive for a long time, try sending the command again, but replace the numbers 123456 with 523681.

Problems with locating Smart Baby Watch Q50

In some cases, the Q50 does not correctly show the GPS location. Parents see on the map that their child is somewhere in China. This may mean that you may have missed such an important step as determining the time zone and language, which are configured in the application.

In the SeTracker settings, select the correct time zone (for Ukraine it is GMT + 2 or GMT + 3, for Russia - depending on the region) and the Russian language. After that, the location will be determined using GPS correctly.

Instructions for using FindMyKids watches

The application is installed on the parents' Android or iOS smartphones, then the GPS watch is connected. To connect the watch, check:

  1. SIM card balance and Internet operation;
  2. Watch settings - send the first or second SMS command to the number in the watch.
    • pw,123456,ts#
    • pw,523681,ts#
  3. The ip_url and port settings, which will be the following:
    • ip_url: 92.53.87.162;
    • port: 8001;
  4. Internet access settings on the watch.

If you can’t connect the watch, read the step-by-step instructions -

Monitor the movement of children using a GPS tracker and send them voice messages. The SOS button is located in a visible place and, in case of an unforeseen situation, the child can easily notify the parents that he is in danger. After that, a notification will be sent to the already specified phone number of the parent that the child needs help!

This manual will guide you how to independently set up a children's watch with a GPS tracker (models Q50, Q60S, Q90, D99, Q100) and connect them to your phone.

1) Sim card preparation

Children's GPS watches work with all telecom operators. SIM card size for models Q50, Q60S, Q90, D99 - micro sim (for model Q100 - NanoSim).

First, check the operation of the card on the phone:
- Make sure the Sim card is active and catching the network. If you bought a new SIM card, be sure to activate it. For example, for an MTS operator, it is enough to call 111.
- Remove the PIN code request!!!
- Check the money balance, make sure that the account is replenished.
- Internet access should work (2G is enough for the watch, that is, regular GPRS).

2) Install the SIM card in the watch

Be sure to turn off the watch before inserting the SIM card!
Open the cover at the end of the clock and find the SIM card slot. Insert the card until it clicks. After that, you can turn on the clock. A network icon and two arrows should appear at the top of the screen “⇅” (in some models - the letter "E"). This indicates that the Internet is working normally and you can continue further.

Please note: If you use the MTS operator (Vadofone) - you will need to manually send a command with the MTS APN settings.

In order to change the APN, send an SMS command from your phone to the number that is set in the clock (the clock must be turned on).

Command to send: pw, 123456, apn, apn name # (you should check the apn name with your operator).

Below are the main APN commands for Ukrainian operators:

SMS command for Kyivstar: pw, 123456, apn, www.ab.kyivstar.net#
SMS command for MTS: pw, 123456, apn, www.umc.ua#
SMS command for Life: pw,123456,apn,internet#

If the command works, the watch should return a response sms to your phone. Now you can turn off and on the clock to restart.

In some cases, the response SMS does not come, then use the numbers 523681 instead of 123456
