A Moscow taxi driver found a way to hack the Yandex.Taxi application and be the first to receive orders. He told his story to the Moslent newspaper.

According to the driver, Yandex.Taxi and Gett are the most popular taxi services in Moscow, and, unlike Uber, they allow you to make good money thanks to high prices for customers. At the same time, Yandex cooperates only with professional taxi drivers and only at the level of taxi companies and dispatch services - without registering individuals.

This causes certain difficulties for drivers, including the need to create dispatch services through which they can register with Yandex.Taxi. At the same time, part of the money earned goes to these services, and part to Yandex.

However, the taxi driver was not confused by this, but by the problems with the rating, which directly affects the number of orders. This indicator, earned by "enormous labor", fell sharply several times from a level of about 4.9 (maximum - 5.0) to 3.3-3.4.

There were no complaints from customers, no order disruptions, no bad ratings seemed to be. Why "sort of", because the driver has no way to find out about the reasons for the drop in the rating. Yandex does not communicate directly with drivers! And he only pretends to communicate with taxi companies (I have never been able to receive a response from Yandex to a request from a taxi company). When your rating drops, you stop receiving orders.

When the driver tried to contact Yandex directly to find out why there are sharp drops in the rating, the company told him that they did not communicate with taxi drivers.

My persistence did succeed, and I got through to some manager who you know what he did? I called the CEO of my company, who just kicked me out of there! What to do in such a situation? Right! In any way, overcome this "Yandex".

After that, the driver spent three to four months learning how to decompile and “rebuild” the Yandex.Taxometer Android application (Yandex.Taxi driver's client). This allowed him to change how the program calculates his rating, as well as to receive priority when ordering a car.

I became the only (hopefully) Moscow taxi driver with a similar priority. There are drivers with a priority assigned by Yandex itself, but, as you understand, I decided not to wait for favors from the service, but to take everything into my own hands. Many even approached me with a request to sell the program.

The man claims that a "caste" of those who hacked the application has already formed among the drivers, but his assembly, according to him, is unique. Despite all attempts by Yandex to eliminate the vulnerability, it managed to find loopholes over and over again.

Will I achieve full control over the "Y. Taxometer" again? Do not know. But having learned the essence of the work after a thorough study of the application, I can now, in principle, and without any edits, have, if not all, but many advantages over the drivers.

Here is my answer to Yandex, which considers it beneath its dignity to communicate with drivers and regularly arrange a real hell at work for taxi drivers in the form of almost daily program glitches and imperfections, although the program existed in test mode for more than six months.

There may be many reasons for this, but one of the most common is the omission of the MCC mobile quality control.

And this can happen by pure chance. You simply did not see this order, for example, you went out to smoke or helped the passenger to take out the luggage, but the order has already been closed and went online. There may be many reasons, but this is not an excuse for the service. You will have to explain and prove that you did it unintentionally. But already at stationary quality control.

This is problematic, you will have to go, most likely to go far. Waste time and nerves.

Therefore, it is worth knowing the possible reasons and trying not to fall into the trap.

And if, nevertheless, something went wrong, you should know what to do.

If you are blocked, you will learn about it from the message that you receive in the Taximeter. The message will also indicate the reason, the period of blocking and the conditions for unblocking, if any.

If you cannot enter the program, then you have been blocked by your taxi fleet or the partner through which you work. The reason for blocking can be found on the yellow bar at the top.

Also, if you see the message "Access suspended", it means that the taxi company or your partner is blocked.

Not only a message can come about the blocking, but also a notification about the disconnection of orders.

This can be due to 3 reasons and they will be indicated as follows.

You go online, but no orders come. In this case, the indicator turns red.

Temporary locks

If you have committed a minor violation and do not do them systematically, then you will be temporarily blocked. If it is you (the driver) who are blocked, then you do not need to take any action. Wait until the end of the blocking and you will start receiving orders again.

If your car is blocked, then you should not wait for the blocking, you can immediately change to another car and continue to fulfill orders.

The temporary blocking is automatically disabled after the expiration of the period for which the restriction was imposed. To get out of the blacklist, take measures to eliminate the reason for the blocking and report this to Yandex, send photos confirming the elimination of the reason for the blocking (if required). The support service will inform you as soon as a decision is made to remove the restrictions from you.

If the signal disappears, restart the device or turn on the "Airplane" mode, wait a few seconds, turn it off and check if the network is up and the geolocation is working. And do not forget that the Internet always disappears during a telephone conversation.

  1. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION AND RECEIVING ORDERS AT YANDEX.TAXOMETER

Most drivers do just that, within 5-10 shifts they increase their Performance Index up to 80-100 points, and then act at their own discretion. When the free waiting time ends, contact the client and check if he received information about what you are already expecting. Remind the client to hurry up if they don't want to pay the wait.

Attention! The period of free waiting for a passenger at all fares, except for port orders, Express and Business, is up to 5 minutes.

There is no waiting charge in the event of a cancellation.

According to the rules of "Yandex" "SERVICES" notes the Client when ordering a car on his mobile device. If they are marked by the client, they are accordingly included in the order price. If the Client has not marked the desired services, then they are not included in the order price. In this situation, you need to ask the client to indicate them in his mobile or offer to pay for services in cash.

Tariffs and prices for services are visible only in the client's application, they are NOT in the driver's application.

10.IMPORTANT DRIVER INDICATORS IN THE "YANDEX.TAXOMETER" SYSTEM

PERFORMANCE INDEX

The maximum INDEX value is 100 points.

Passengers rate the quality on a five-point scale after each trip. A beginner's "RATING" is usually 4.2. The maximum "RATING" of a driver is 5 points. If the "RATING" value is lower than "4" the driver will be blocked for 60 days.

The driver can find out the value of the parameter in the RATING tab in the TAXOMETER, or the image of the Little Man on the left side of the Taximeter Program screen.

ACTIVITY

This indicator depends on the number of completed orders in the category "Economy" and "Express". If the driver completes more than 35 orders per week, he gets 1 point.

  1. HOW TO AVOID PROBLEMS WITH CASHLESS PAYMENT OF ORDERS?

It is unacceptable to keep the passenger in the cabin until confirmation of the write-off of the non-cash payment.

During this time, the system will have time to contact the bank.

If there are not enough funds on the passenger's account, the form of payment will be changed to cash, and then you will have time to prepare for the calculation, taking into account the changes.

If the order has not changed to cash and payment for the non-cash order has not been received, the Yandex rules are as follows:

In Yandex.Taxi, passengers can pay in cash or by card. Sometimes it happens that a client leaves the car, and instead of a cashless payment, you receive a message that the order has been moderated. There is no need to worry, Yandex will compensate the cost of the completed order, even if the money cannot be debited from the passenger's account.

For the first 5 days Yandex will try to receive funds from the client's card. If within this period they are not received on your personal program account, our Taxopark sends an Application for receiving compensation by order to Yandex, the corresponding notification will appear in your Taximeter.

YANDEX.TAXI distributes PROMO CODES (DISCOUNT COUPONS) among customers. When placing an order, a client can apply a PROMO CODE. Each promo code has its own denomination, which can be used to pay for the order in full or only part of it. If the value of the promotional code is more than the amount of the trip, the client will not need to pay anything extra. If the cost turns out to be higher, then the passenger will pay extra from the bank card linked to his account. In any case, the amount of the trip will be credited to your balance - as in the execution of a regular order with a non-cash payment.

The only thing that should not be done in any case is to demand payment in cash. Only if it is impossible to write off funds from the passenger's card, the payment method will automatically change to cash. In this case, the Taximeter will display the payment "Cash".
Also, if the client did not use the promotional code when placing the order, you need to correctly explain the annoying misunderstanding and offer to pay for the next trip with the promotional code.

Orders with payment by promotional codes are distributed among the drivers, like all other orders, there are no priorities.

4. NO INTERNET

When taking orders by phone, remember that during a call the Internet does not work and the signal will be interrupted. If the signal suddenly disappears, turn on the Airplane mode, wait a few seconds and turn it off, check if the Internet is available and Geolocation is turned on.

If GPS signal transmission is disabled, orders will not arrive.

If, nevertheless, this situation has occurred, and you have in the tab "RESERVE" Completed but Unfinished orders You need to call Tech. support and ask to complete the order, giving its address and amount. The driver himself will not be able to complete the order in the "Reserve" tab.

  1. WHAT IS DCC AND BSO?

The Yandex.Taxometer program includes DCC (Remote Quality Control)

Every 3 days, the system will offer to take a photo of the car, salon, BSO (or, in our case, a Cash Receipt Order).

DCC must be passed, and it is better not to cancel it very often, otherwise Yandex will temporarily block you.

At the first DCC You may not have a BSO, and pass the DCC without a form. But, within 3 days, you MUST purchase a BSO, and take a picture at the next DCC.

Photos of the car must be clear, without clipping corners of the car, car roof, etc.

In order to take a photo of the CAR INTERIOR, first open its front door, step aside by half a meter, take a photo of the front seats, then open the back door, step aside, take a photo of the rear seats. During the dark time of the day, when photographing the cabin, you must turn on the overhead light in the cabin.
