Why is the plugin not loading in Yandex. "Failed to load plugin" - fixing the error in Yandex.Browser

When opening media content in Yandex.Browser, users may encounter a notification: "The plugin could not be loaded." What to do in this case, and how to view the media page without errors, read within the framework of this article.

What is this plugin?

Flash Player is used to work with media files. Chromium-based browsers (Yandex Browser belongs to them) use the built-in Shockwave Flash plugin. Working with the plugin is fully automated; updating the Flash Player will not give any results. The only thing the user can do is to disable or enable his work in the browser.

Turning on

The "failed to load plugin" error may appear simply due to the plugin being disabled. To enable it:

Cash and cookie cleaning

There is a possibility that the page after the first load retained its "appearance" in the form when the plugin was disabled. And when the page is refreshed, instead of taking the updated data from the server, Yandex Browser provides the version of this page saved on the computer, "assuming" that no changes have occurred. This is called page caching. To force the Internet browser to re-crawl the page, you need to delete the old references to it:

Advice! If the error persists, try to see if the page is working properly in another Internet browser or on another computer. Perhaps the reason for the error is on the site side. If it does not work only in Yandex Browser,

Some users who have chosen the Opera web browser may encounter problems with online playback of videos and music. If your video does not start playing, the browser stops working, or pop-up windows with error warnings appear, then your system was unable for some reason to load the Flash-Player plugin in Opera.

There are many possible causes associated with this error. The use of an outdated version of the program, a stuck plug-in, system malfunctions, actions of malicious programs - all this can disrupt the correct operation of the online player. This article describes what to do if you encounter a similar problem in Opera.

The first thing to do if the Flash plugin fails to load is to restart the browser. It is quite possible that some tool of the program crashed, as a result of which the usual work was disrupted. If the problem persists after restarting, go to the next step.

Enter "opera: // plugins" into the Opera search bar and press Enter. You will be taken to the configuration page of the connected plugins. Here you need to check if several Flash players are not working at the same time. They can conflict with each other, causing intermittent failures.

In case you have more than one extension working, click on the “Show details” button. You need to leave only one active plug-in (the latest version and preferably without the "NPAPI" mark). Disable the object using the "Disable" button.

Updating and reinstalling Opera

If the previous methods did not have a positive effect, you should try to update your browser. As a rule, it updates itself, but this setting may have been deactivated. In addition, the installed antivirus or firewall can prevent the download of new updates.

To check the current version of Opera browser, do the following:

If an outdated application is used and for some reason the automatic download of the update does not start, you must reinstall the program:

Reinstall Flash

If all of the above did not help, then the reason lies in problems with Adobe Flash.

  1. Open "Uninstall Programs" again as described above.
  2. Find all Flash files (there may be several) and delete one by one.
  3. Now go to the official plugin download site https://get.adobe.com/en/flashplayer/.
  4. Click on the Load System Module hyperlink.
  5. You will be prompted to additionally install some free application, for example, Google Chrome. If you don't need it, uncheck the box next to the offer.
  6. Click Install Now.
  7. Wait for the process to finish and restart your browser.

Hello everyone! Surely, many users could see the error "Failed to load plug-in" on their monitor screen when playing online audio, video, or when trying to launch some kind of flash animation (game, banner, application, etc.). If you got to this page, then most likely you saw a similar error. Today, in this small instruction, we will fix the error “ Failed to load plugin»In the browser quickly and easily.

First, friends, let's figure out what a plugin is in a browser. A plugin is, in other words, an add-on that extends the capabilities of the Internet browser. There are a huge number of plugins today, and they are all in different directions. In any browser, basic plugins are installed in order to display web resources correctly. If you get a message in your browser stating that the plug-in could not be loaded, then most likely the problem is in the Flash Player. Below we will look at several ways with which you can correct this error.

1st method. Updating the Internet browser

This method is the simplest, and it helps in most cases. I will show all the manipulations using the example of the popular Google Chrome browser. If you are using another browser, do not worry, all the steps are the same. So, in order to update the browser, go to the menu - Help - About the browser.

On the page "About the program" we find and click on the button "Update".

After the update, check if the error "Failed to load plugin" appears again. If these steps did not help to solve the problem, go further to the next method.

2nd way. Clearing the history in the browser

This method will help in the case when such an error appears only on some resources. It's pretty simple - you need to clear the cache and cookies in the browser.

Cache - temporary browser files that store all the web components of the viewed resources (images, pages, video files, designs, etc.). Thanks to the cache, the browser quickly loads the pages of previously visited sites, since the resource components are loaded not via the Internet, but from the local disk of the computer.

Cookies are also temporary files that store the user's personal data (logins, passwords, site settings, etc.). When you go to any page, the browser sends all this data to the server, and therefore we can go to any resource without having to re-enter the login and password for authorization.

So let's clear the Cache and Cookie in our browser to try and fix the error. We go to the menu, select "History".

After that, click on the "Clear history" button and carefully check that the checkboxes are marked, as shown in the screenshot below.

After that, all that remains is to restart the browser.

3rd way. Disable unnecessary plugins

If the first two methods did not help, then proceed to disabling the extra plugin. First of all, let's open the page with installed plugins. The address is different for each browser:

If you are using Chrome, then type chrome: // plugins in the address bar
If you are using Yandex, then type in browser: // plugins in the address bar
If you are using Opera, then type opera: // plugins in the address bar
If you are using Firefox, then type in the address bar about: plugins

When the page with plugins opens, take a closer look to see if an extra Flash Player plugin is present. If there is one, then I recommend disabling it (usually it is of the PPAPI type).

After disconnecting, restart the browser and check again.

4th method. Reinstall Adobe Flash Player

If none of the above methods helped, then I advise you to reinstall Adobe Flash Player. To do this, first of all, uninstall the old version of the flash player in the Control Panel - Programs and Features. Then download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player from the official website.

Hopefully my little instruction on how to fix the error " Failed to load plugin»Helped you. If you have solved this problem in some other way, you can write in the comments, this will help many users! Thank you for your attention and all the best!

During the week, there was a problem, the Flash content stopped playing in Chrome version 54.0.2840.99 m .

  1. Right-click to launch Adobe Flash Player.
  2. Failed to load plugin.

Solution of errors

The first error can be corrected in two ways:

  1. Click on an element, right click and select Run plug-in
  2. To avoid doing this every time, you can allow the player to always start. This will be addressed in Step 2

But with the second problem it will be more complicated, then there will be a description of identifying and fixing the plugin not working properly.

Google offers to check whether the plugin is enabled or not + check the update:

Step 1

First, let's check the browser version, maybe there is an update and the problem will go away by itself:

  1. In chrome, click on three points (lines), on the right
  2. Help - about the Google Chrome browser. The browser will look for a new version and either update or say You are using the latest version of Chrome ... If it doesn't help, then move on.

Step 2

Not relevant, since this functionality has been removed - https://my-chrome.ru/2017/03/chrome-57/

Make sure Adobe Flash Player is enabled:

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type - chrome: // plugins and press Enter
  2. Top right, click on + More
  3. Are looking for Adobe flash player
  4. We look, if there is only one plugin and is enabled, then we go to the next step, if there are 2 plugins, then you can try to enable one and turn off the other. Since chrome already has a built-in plug-in, it does not need an additional one, but if you need a new version of the player or there is still some reason, you can download and install the required version from the Adobe website, thus we will get 2 of them

Step 3

You can also check the plugin update manually:

  1. In the address bar we write chrome: // components and press Enter
  2. Find the line Adobe flash player and click to check for updates, if nothing has changed, then it will be written: Status - Component not updated

Step 4

If at the end of the checks, everything is updated and included, then perhaps this is the case that I had to solve:

  1. Back to Step 2 Point 3
  2. We look at the location and copy it
  3. Close chrome
  4. Open explorer / my computer and paste the copied location into the address bar, removing the plugin name. That is, the location is C: \ Users \ user \ AppData \ Local \ Google \ Chrome \ User Data \ PepperFlash \ 23.0.0.207 \ pepflashplayer.dll, and in the address bar, insert C: \ Users \ user \ AppData \ Local \ Google \ Chrome \ User Data \ PepperFlash \ 23.0.0.207 \ (% LOCALAPPDATA% \ Google \ Chrome \ User Data \ PepperFlash \ 23.0.0.207 \) and press - enter
  5. There should be 3 files in this folder (mine is like this):
    • manifest.fingerprint
    • manifest.json
    • pepflashplayer.dll

In my case, there was no pepflashplayer.dll- this is the Flash Player.
If you also have or do not have enough other file, then go ahead.

  6. Delete all contents of this folder
  7. Back to Step 3 and do it all over again.
The state will change and should be: Component updated ... I didn’t solve the problem on my computer, and it helped. Simulating this situation on my computer, the plugin did not download for me, if you do the same, then go ahead.
  8. We rise to a higher level - C: \ Users \ user \ AppData \ Local \ Google \ Chrome \ User Data \ PepperFlash
  9. Delete the folder 23.0.0.207 ... I could not delete the folder, because the system swore that it was open / busy by someone. After rebooting and deleting the folder, you can repeat Clause 7.

Modern browsers designed for viewing Internet pages are rather complex programs that suggest the possibility of expanding and supplementing their existing functionality.

This task is implemented through plugins available for download in special services. However, there are also problems in their work, leading to error messages when loading extensions.

Phenomenon and causes

This situation occurs on a wide variety of browsers, making this problem extremely common. If the user receives a message that the plugin could not be loaded in the Yandex browser, it is necessary to determine the reasons for this non-standard behavior of the program. In the overwhelming majority of cases, such problems can be observed when working with the extension.

A feature of the Yandex browser and any other browser based on Chromium is the built-in Shockwave Flash extension. In view of this, manipulations to manually update this component most often do not give a result. This is due to the complete automation of work between the program and the component, which eliminates the need for user intervention.

There may be several reasons for this problem:

  • The required plugin is disabled;
  • Errors in cache and cookies;
  • Outdated browser version.

Accordingly, the method that will have to be used to eliminate it will directly depend on the identified one.

Problem solving

The first thing to take care of is to include the desired plugin in the add-ons list. Since it implements a navigation system, finding the desired item will not be a problem. After enabling the required component, you must restart the browser or reload the page so that its content is recognized with the participation of the required extension.

If you suspect that the error lies in the program cache, you can go to the Settings tab and select the Tools item, completely clear the history, including cache files, cookies and other data. After that, you need to reload the page to check if the problem is resolved.

If the browser has not been updated for a long time, then most likely it has an outdated version. To solve such problems, a manual update is provided, which can be quickly launched by going to the Help tab in the About section. After installing and applying the changes, the content should be displayed correctly.
