Since the MIUI shell on Xiaomi smartphones is a redesigned Android, google services are installed in it by default. Not everyone needs them, since the Chinese company has its own analogues (take the cloud, for example), plus, when unnecessary programs are deactivated, the autonomy of the smartphone increases noticeably. There are two simple ways to disable Google services that do not require Root rights:
Method N1 - application management
The irony is that to disable Google services, you first have to use them. Install “Application Management” in Google Play and launch it. Next, select what you need and click “Disable” (in some cases, “Delete”)
Method number 2 - QuickShortcutMaker
Download QuickShortcutMaker, launch it and see a list of programs. Here it is better to use the search by writing “all applications”. As a result of the search, you need to find the item Settings — All applications — AllApplicationsActivity(see screenshot below)

The same list of programs will open as in Method No. 1, where you can Disable/Delete unnecessary ones. In order not to go through a lengthy search procedure each time, you can click on the “Create” button - as a result, a settings shortcut will appear on the desktop, which will immediately open the desired window.
Important point. In the first screenshot, on the lower right side you can see the “More” item, it contains the line “Uninstall updates”. If updates are removed, the application will still work. Moreover, when connected to the Internet it will be updated, so only disconnecting it can help.

Xiaomi smartphones are very popular in our country, so we cannot ignore the MIUI user interface. Many people praise MIUI for its customization flexibility, while others complain about the lack of some important features. Today we will discuss one of these topics, namely, how to disable any application on MIUI 8.
As a rule, disabling any application on MIUI 8 is very simple. To do this, go to “Settings”> “Applications”, select the required application, and click the “Disable” option.
However, attentive users may have noticed that it is impossible to disable a pre-installed application. A lot of people, including me, find this seriously annoying. Why should I look at an application that is useless to me on my home screen? Don't worry, we have found a simple solution to this problem!
To demonstrate how to disable any app on MIUI 8, we'll take a look at Hangouts. This is one of the many applications that comes pre-installed with the operating system. Additionally, the app cannot be disabled in MIUI Settings as the Disable button itself is disabled. Ah, what irony!

Voila! You have successfully disabled an application that you don't need. It was pretty easy, wasn't it?
Please note that the only limitation of this method is that you cannot disable native MIUI 8 apps (such as Xiaomi's Music App). All other pre-installed applications (for example, Google Play Books, Google Play movies, etc.) can be disabled.

The last method does not require any additional manipulations or installation of third-party software. In the new miui 8.0, deleting applications is located in the same place as in the standard Android OS. Therefore, to delete it, you need to go to the phone menu and select the settings item. Next we find in the “applications” sub-item.
In the drop-down list, we find the application of interest for deletion. We go inside it and select the “delete data” option. After the main data has been deleted, you can click on the “delete” button.
Bottom line
Miui 8.0, although different from its predecessors, the developers still tried to make its interface as intuitive as possible and prevent the creation of such situations. Therefore, deleting applications should not cause difficulties for advanced Android users.
If you need to delete several applications, then to do this you need to repeat the operation for each application manually, or in the Ccleaner program select all the applications that need to be deleted.
Note:
If the application is a system application, then it cannot be removed using the methods described above. To remove system applets, use superuser rights, which can be obtained without losing the warranty of your smart equipment.
Below is a list of those programs that you can remove without the risk of damaging your system, as well as a brief description of them and whether they affect the speed of the system.
To remove system applications, you will need Root rights.
- BugReport. Sends error reports. Affects the speed of the device.
- CloudPrint. Virtual printer application. Does not affect speed.
- Email. A completely acceptable email client from Xiaomi. If you use it, then there is simply no point in deleting it. Well, if you use a third-party email client, then feel free to delete it.
- Fasdormancy. This feature is only available to select European and Asian mobile operators. Read about it on the Internet and check whether your mobile operator supports it. No - delete it. Affects speed.
- FingerprintService. The second branded virtual printer from Xiaomi. Does not affect speed.
- MiLinkService. A very useful application from Xiaomi that allows MIUI devices to exchange files with each other. If you don't use it, delete it. Does not affect speed.
- PrintSpooler. Special stamps used with virtual printers. Does not affect speed.
- QuikSearchBox. Xiaomi's proprietary search, which opens by swiping down from the top of the screen. It's a little awkward to use, so you can remove it. Does not affect speed.
- StepsProvider. Addition to the pedometer application. Affects speed.
- Stk. Service menu from the mobile operator. If your operator does not support this function, you can delete it. Affects speed.
- Updater. Allows you to update the firmware, and very often bothers you with its reminders. Feel free to delete it. It does not affect the speed, but rather the usability of the smartphone.
- Whetstone. Send error reports that relate to the processor. Often the application “wakes up” the smartphone - we can safely delete it. Affects speed.
Some standard programs that can also be removed are located in the directory system/priv-app. Let's go there and look: 
- Browser. Official Xiaomi browser. Contains too much “Chinese” - you can delete it and install an alternative. Does not affect speed.
- Viset. Russian browser, which is only available in some firmwares. If you also have it installed, it’s better not to uninstall it, since it is completely Russified, has a lot of settings and works quite quickly. Does not affect speed.
- CellBroadcastReceiver. Alert to emergencies that are most common in Asia. Affects speed.
- GoogleFeedBack. Official Google reviews. Affects speed.
- Shell. A component of the MIUI operating system, which contains data about the operation of the shell (error reports, etc.), and then sends them to some server. Can be deleted. Affects speed.
- YellowPage. Yellow Pages program. Shows information about your corporate accounts. Affects speed.
- Weather. Weather forecast server. Quite a good program, the interface is nice, there are a lot of settings. Not for everyone. Does not affect speed.
Previously, I already wrote about what programs can be removed from MIUI firmware, this time I would like to touch on the topic of services from the manufacturer (Xiaomi) and the good corporation (Google). The article describes a method that will allow you to disable and enable these services at will.
How is this method better than removing Google/Xiaomi services? The answer suggests itself - if necessary, you can return everything to its original state (for example, you need to install a program from the Google program catalog, install a third-party MIUI theme).
I TESTED THE METHOD ON DEVELOPER MIUI 7, WORKING ON 8 IS NOT GUARANTEED!
Before running the script, it is advisable to make a backup of the system partition via TWRP, in case something goes wrong.
How to disable Google/Xiaomi services in MIUI firmware
For successful execution we will need:
- Root access on your device
- BusyBox (usually already available in MIUI)
- Terminal Emulator for Android
Installation:
- Download the archive
- Copy it to the device’s flash card
- Install via TWRP
Running the script:
1. After installing and loading the system, open the terminal emulator;
2. Enter the command:

5. The script will offer several options for its operation -
enter 2 (google services) and/or 3 (xiaomi), thereby disabling them (if they were already turned off, turn them on). You can leave certain services enabled/disabled.
6. After selection, the script will be launched, after which the phone will have to reboot.
Disabling services freed up about 100MB of RAM on my device. In addition, the number of outgoing connections (when connected to the Internet) has decreased several times.
