The reindeer gauge is new. Reindeer meter from Jove for WoT

The XVM modification, better known as the “deer tracker,” is a popular mod for World of Tanks that allows you to display information in the game in a new way. All output data is configured in configuration files and only what is required by the tanker is displayed.

The player can change the markers above the tanks, design the damage log in a unique style, replace the “sixth sense” light bulb with his own pictures, customize the player panel. It is noteworthy that before completely installing the mod in the WOT folder, the user selects the necessary components, unchecking the boxes for information that is not needed . This is what made the deer gauge flexible and easy to customize, and at the same time a well-known modification.

XVM is available in several assemblies: from Jove, Dukalis and a copy from the official website. We offer the official version of modders for installation and tell you how to do it.

How to setup

It’s easy to turn on or off various mod services: this is done in your personal account on the same website. In the upper right corner there is a “Settings” tab.

Why XVM doesn't work

There are several reasons for problems:

  1. Make sure you select the correct path to install the file.
  2. The mod version may be out of date - check our website for updates and current information. If necessary, install a new version.
  3. Did you activate the XVM mod after installation? If not, then follow the above steps.
  4. Go to https://modxvm.com/, and by going to your personal account, check if the statistics are updated. The 14 day period may have expired.

Here is a visual demonstration of the main modes:

Description:

Deer Measuring is the most popular mod for many tankers. According to statistics from the XVM website, it is used daily by more than three and a half million players around the world. Its popularity is due to the fact that it allows you to see the following information:

  • player efficiency rating when loading a battle and in the battle itself
  • their win percentage
  • number of fights
  • estimated chance of winning the battle taking into account all the indicators above

All displayed information can be configured in configuration files and displayed, for example, not the overall percentage of a player’s victories for all tanks, but only for a specific one, and so on. All this made Deer Measuring highly customizable and a very popular mod.

It is made on the basis of XVM for World of Tanks 1.7.0.2, which is also a very popular modification, because it allows the player to completely change the game interface and add the following improvements to it, without which a modern tanker simply cannot play:

  • damage log
  • smart mini-map with all the necessary data and indicators
  • tank light indicator in ears
  • base capture indicator, showing how many invaders are on the base and how soon it will be captured
  • modified markers above the equipment
  • ping in the hangar and on the login screen

And this is only the main part of the functionality of the mod. It still hides a lot of tricks and jokes that you can learn over time by using it. This page presents the deer meter for World of Tanks 1.7.0.2, also called the user meter, in the latest version and with the most detailed instructions for setting up and installing each of its components.

In order for you to install and configure the deer meter as comfortably as possible, our website team has done the following for you:

  • manual installation as an archive
  • automatic installation using a convenient and thoughtful installer

But remember one truth, once you install the deer meter for WOT 1.7.0.2, you set yourself up for further torment and burning of chairs. After all, you will actually find out how many crayfish live in the World of Tanks universe.

Based on numerous requests from visitors to our portal, it was decided to make two options for installing the deer meter, because not everyone has good PCs, and for some XVM functions to work, additional resources are needed, which, unfortunately, are not available on a weak PC. Therefore, both in manual and automatic installation mode, two options will be available:

  1. Deer gauge Full
  2. Deer gauge Light

The Full version will include all the mods that can be included in XVM, the Light version will only have a deer meter and a hit log. So if you are the owner of a weak PC, we advise you to install “Deer Measuring Light”. To configure additional XVM features, open the "Add-ons for Reindeer Measuring" folder and there you will find a settings file for:

  • informative carousel in 2 or 3 rows,
  • installation of standard vehicle markers
  • different types of damage log
  • manual switching of ratings

In our deer meter build, we use a tool for switching ratings right in the hangar, which was developed by famous player ProTanki. In order to change the rating displayed in the deer meter, you just need to click F6 and after that you will see the following message.

With this modification you can change the rating to one of the following:

  • eff - four-digit efficiency rating (PE);
  • xeff - two-digit efficiency rating (PE);
  • wn6 - four-digit WN6 (Wot-news);
  • xwn6 - two-digit WN6 (Wot-news);
  • wn8 - four-digit WN8;
  • xwn8 - two-digit WN8;
  • wgr - four-digit rating from WG;
  • xwgr - two-digit rating from WG;
  • xte - two-digit rating taking into account average damage and number of frags;
  • r - rating configurable on the official website (more details below);

After updating XVM to version 6+, it became possible to switch deer hunter ratings directly on the official website of the modxvm mod, in your account settings.

In the latest update, we added this feature to our ratings switching mod. In order to change the displayed rating on the site, you first need to enable this feature in the hangar by pressing the key F6 and switching the rating to "r" (look at the picture below).

After that, follow these steps:

  1. Go to modxvm.com;
  2. Log in to your personal account;
  3. Go to Settings;
  4. Select to display your preferred rating.

Deer gauge from the site.

We present to you the first and currently best deer meter installer for World of Tanks. It was based on the deer meter from ProTanka and this already says a lot. With its help, you can easily install XVM and configure it as you need.

In the installer, you can enable or disable each of its elements, which allows you to customize the mod as finely as possible. You can install only a deer gauge and that’s it, or you can install the maximum package of all add-ons that will help you in the game.

Another feature of the installer is that you can change your XVM configuration as much as you like, reinstalling the mod with different options and knowing that you will always only get what you last selected.

Well, its biggest advantage is the update manager. By installing the deer meter from the site once, you will always be aware of the release of new versions of the mod and can easily update to its latest version by simply running the installer, which will already know which installation items you chose last time and you just have to quickly click Next and Install.

Updating the mod to the latest versions will minimize game crashes and give you the opportunity to always use the most optimized and stable version of the mod.

To configure additional XVM services, such as statistics, displaying the chance of winning and others, you need to go and log in to the official website of the mod (modxvm.com) and activate the necessary ones in the “Settings” section in your personal account.

If you receive a message like this when entering the hangar, this is the first sign that you have not activated XVM services.

To enable statistics you need to do the following:

  1. Click on "more details" or on the site link and you will immediately find yourself on the XVM website. (look at the pictures above)
  2. If you are not yet logged in to the site, click "Log in", select your region and enter your account information.
  3. Select the "Settings" tab and select the XVM services you need by checking the box next to the one you need. (look at the pictures above)
  4. Click on the "Add client" button (if it is inactive, click on "Update statistics")

If it does not appear, try repeating all activation steps again. For the laziest, we have prepared a video that explains and demonstrates in detail each step of activating statistics:

If you are tired of looking at statistics, then you can turn them off on the same official website by simply unchecking the box next to “Player statistics in battle” and that’s it.

sirmax2, iBat Version: 8.2.3 Updated: December 23, 2019

XVM, or one-dimensional in common parlance, is the largest modification for World of Takns, which, according to the developers, is used daily by more than 3,700,000 users. And all this is not without reason, because the reindeer measurer is a really useful addition that includes a huge number of Wot features and improvements.

Update from 12/23/19

XVM-8.2.3: [GENERAL] * Fixed font loading

As already mentioned, XVM adds some useful features to the game, the most important of which is player statistics, but this is only part of the mod; the most important features will be described in more detail below.

Markers above tanks

The deer meter complements the standard markers above the equipment by adding a display of various parameters. Moreover, all this can be configured in a convenient HTML CSS style. You can change the colors, font, icons, display of any information you are interested in about the enemy.

Do you want to see the player's efficiency there? Easily. Do you want a WN8 stat or any other? Not a problem either. In a word, everything will be as you want.

Display of damage dealt

Another useful thing is the display of the damage you dealt to the enemy. A very necessary feature during World of Tanks battles, the panel displays a list of the last players you dealt damage to, their tank icon, name and amount of damage. In addition, the total damage you dealt during the battle and the last damage is displayed at the top.

And again, all this can be customized and made more beautiful and informative, although the standard version looks good and is quite suitable for almost all players.

Of course, if hitlog is of no use to you, you can turn it off, or show only the last and total damage.

Custom light bulbs

This feature provides almost no benefit, although perhaps the default light bulb is not noticeable to you and because of this you do not notice it. Now it is very easy to replace it with any picture, for this you need to take any picture (it is important that the format is png), rename it to SixthSense and copy it to a folder World of Tanks\res_mods\mods\shared_resources\xvm\res\.

Or you can download ready-made ones, we have them on our website, and we also have a set of sounds for the 6th sense light bulb.

"Ears", tab and loading screen

And here is something very interesting in the deer meter, modified displays of players in the so-called ears, while pressing “TAB” and on the battle loading screen. Here the percentage of wins and other statistics of the player are displayed, for example, even on the loading screen you can understand which player plays well or poorly, and therefore build tactics before the start of the battle itself.

The same information is also in the ears, which also allows you to better navigate in battle and understand the balance of power. Well, by pressing TAB, you can take a closer look at the stats of each player, whether there are any noobs left and how many cool players you and your opponent have on your team.

Clan icons

Yes, yes, with the help of hvm, any player and/or clan can add any picture. There are a huge number of use cases, for example, uploading images of the logos of all popular clans and easily identifying them in battle. You can also add any logo to any clan, as well as to individual players, for example, tagging friends or, conversely, some of your ardent opponents.

The process of adding an image is quite easy, you just need to add your images to the folder World of Tanks\res_mods\xvm\res\clanicons\[your server folder]\[player nickname or clan id].

In addition to this, you can set the required size of the icon and its location.

Base capture strip

After downloading and installing XVM, the capture bar will also be slightly modified.

The number of base invaders will appear, as well as the time until the end of the capture. And all this can also be customized according to your wishes.

In general, this helps a lot in battle, you always know how many of your comrades are capturing the base, and the time before the capture will allow you to decide whether you need to help or whether the base will be captured faster than you get there.

A very useful modification to the standard World of Tanks interface.

XVM Minimap

The minimap has also undergone improvements, and since it plays an important role in battle, there are plenty of useful innovations here. Firstly, you can now enlarge the minimap without restrictions, regardless of screen resolution.

Secondly, circles were added to display areas of exposure, and this greatly adds advantages over opponents, because now you know where it is better not to go if you do not want to be exposed.

The olenometer mod is one of the most popular among officially approved modifications.

Mod XVM- Extended Visualization Mod is reindeer hunter(aka Olenometer or user) - these are the combat statistics of World of Tanks players. Shows the winning percentage of players and highlights their nicknames depending on their level of pumping.

Mods for World of Tanks are very diverse, but here is one of those that simply must be installed on your World of Tanks game client. The mod consists of two parts - itself XVM and statistics or also known as deer surveyor ( XVM Stat). To install statistics, you will need to change the settings in the config.

The XVM mod will allow you to slightly improve the game by slightly expanding the capabilities of the game interface. The modification allows you to make such features as:

  • Changed tank markers. Now it has become even easier to customize them for yourself. The settings are very flexible.
  • The damage log is a very useful thing in battle for those who are interested in how much health you took away from your opponents right during the battle.
  • Simple change of the Sixth Sense light bulb - you can put your picture in res_mods/icons/SixthSense.png.
  • Customization of the loading screen, list of players and statistics during battle.
  • Adding icons of clans and players to the game.
  • A modified capture bar that shows the number of invaders and the time remaining until capture.
  • Improved minimap with model names and the location of the last enemy sighting.
  • And much more...

What do the numbers on the deer meter mean?

Next to each player we see the following numbers (example): 2k 3200 52%. Let's look at what each of them means.

In our specific case:

  • 2k - reduced and rounded number of fights. 1k = 1000 fights, since “k” is kilo, that is, a thousand. 10k = 10,000 and so on.
  • 52% is the player's winning percentage.
  • But between them there is another number 3200, the meaning of which many do not understand. This number is the player's efficiency rating.

World of Tanks efficiency rating

The effectiveness rating is a conditional numerical value that determines the player’s effectiveness in battle. The mod developers themselves give the following definition of efficiency rating: " a qualitative characteristic that determines a player’s effectiveness in battle".

But how is it calculated? For this purpose, a very cunning formula for rating the effectiveness of a World of Tanks player was invented. There you can also read how to change it to 4-digit.

In the Reindeer Measuring mod, all statistics numbers are highlighted in the appropriate color, depending on the player’s skill:

  • Green is good
  • Yellow - satisfactory,
  • Red is bad.
  • Purple is becoming more common - it means that the value is very outstanding.

What is XVM mod for World of Tanks?

XVM (eXtended Visualization Mod)- the most widely known and most frequently used modification for the game World of Tanks. XVM allows you to customize the game interface to suit your needs, which makes it more convenient to perceive. The XVM mod is used in many (almost all) modification assemblies as a basis, however, we recommend using the modification from the original source, and not as part of third-party assemblies, this will protect you and ensure stable operation of the modification.

The modification has a lot of possibilities, and here are just a few of them:

  • Markers above tanks (improved HP bar, with the ability to fine-tune thickness, color and transparency (including dynamic). Improved visualization of the “flying HP” effect)
  • Disabling the afterlife panel
  • Icon mirroring control (useful if you use non-standard icons)
  • Controlling the player panel ("Ears"), changing the width, transparency, and output data format
  • Assigning icons to players or clans for display directly in battle
  • Log of the damage you dealt to the enemy in real time, right in battle (commonly known as hitlog)
  • Capture strip mod.
  • Minimap mod with rays, viewing circles, enemies that have disappeared from the light and a lot of other features.
  • Expanded (more convenient and detailed) statistics in “achievements”.

Download and install the XVM mod

Installing the XVM Olenometer mod

Installing the mod: download the archive and unpack the contents into the root of the game. For example D:\Games\World_of_Tanks.

Path to config files: D:\Games\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\xvm\configs\@Default

Config for reindeer surveyor

The mod is controlled by a special settings file - "config". Starting with the version of the reindeer surveyor for World of Tanks 0.9.20, the work of the config has been changed - it has been divided into a larger number of files, each of which is responsible for its own part of the mod. This was done for convenience and to create structure.

The standard config files are now located in this path:

res_mods\xvm\configs\@Default\...

Please note that the game version is not listed in the path. That is, the mod is installed as it should be here - res_mods/0.9.1/..., and the config files separately!

How to enable the display of deer surveyor statistics?

Well, or in other words, how can you turn on the reindeer meter? Everything is very simple. You need to open several config files using regular notepad or Notepad++.

Step 1. For the config to start working at all, rename \res_mods\xvm\xvm.xc.sample to xvm.xc.

  1. use a ready-made config;
  2. set everything up manually (I recommend only if you understand what you are doing, otherwise you may break the mod; for more details, see the article on how to enable chances of winning and deer-measure statistics);
  3. configure the reindeer meter through the config editor.

Choose a convenient option at your discretion.

The finished config can be connected via the xvm.xc file, which we renamed in the first step. We find the following line there:

$("configs/@Default/@xvm.xc":".")

In this piece, we are specifically interested only in the config address, namely “configs/@Default/@xvm.xc”. For example, the standard delivery of the mod already includes a config from the developer sirimax. Its config is located in the res_mods\xvm\configs folder and in order to connect it, change the above line to:

$("configs/sirimax.xc":".")

Save the xvm.xc file and launch the game.
