I can't make a call, the mobile network is unavailable. What to do when the Tele2 network is not available

It is rare that no one has encountered such a problem. It seems that everything should be in order: the phone is working, the SIM card is inserted, the contract with the provider is concluded - but there is no access to the Internet. And just about he was still there, and after a minute - as if it had not happened. A familiar situation, isn't it? If the Internet does not work on your phone, then do not despair and rush headlong to the service center.

With very little effort, you can really cope with the problem and without someone else's help. the Internet on the phone is configured a little differently than on a regular personal computer, and this often causes difficulties for users. What interface elements are responsible for setting up the connection? What are the possible reasons for denial of network access? We will consider all these issues in our note. The most banal reasons get the least attention. And absolutely in vain. Here is a short list of them:

  • The Internet on the phone is disabled for non-payment. That is, you have a negative balance in your account.
  • The phone does not connect to the Internet because you are out of network coverage.
  • The data transfer option has failed.
  • In all other respects, a normally working mobile phone did not go through the automatic registration procedure.

The likelihood of the above is quite high. It is by checking these options and troubleshooting these problems that we will begin our fight with the disappeared network.

The simplest tests

First, we check the state of the balance. Each provider offers its own way. Read the instructions or rummage through the contact list - there is usually a corresponding number there. To get account information, type *, then a three-digit code (unique for each operator), followed by the # symbol and press the call button. In response, the display shows the value of the amount available for payment of calls. If the wallet is empty or there is a cash overrun, replenish the account and the Internet will appear.

We will assume that everything is “OK” with the balance. What to do next? Look at the network connection indicator. If it is disabled, it means that you are out of range. The only cure for this is to get out of this place.

All modern smartphone models have a special option. It's called Data Transfer. To get to this setting, do the following:

  • Go to the connection settings menu.
  • Click on "More".
  • Click on "Mobile Network".
  • On the screen that opens, check the "Mobile data transfer" box. The figure below is a good illustration:

What to do if there is still no internet? You can try turning your smartphone off and on again. Sometimes it helps. The fact is that 3G networks often stop responding after leaving the subway and in other cases getting into the access zone from places where there is no network. In this scenario, the machine is unable to connect to the network without rebooting.

Restore settings automatically

It happens that the network settings of the device have been lost. Restoring them is easy and can be done in two different ways: get the settings from the operator or do the configuration manually. Of course, the first method is preferable. Just because it's easier. No need to bother yourself with all sorts of technical details. For some time now, this service has become available from every mobile operator. To download the settings from the provider's server, you need to call a specific number or send an SMS to the number. For Beeline, this is a call to 06503, for MTS - SMS to 1234, Megafon receives SMS to 5049, and Tele2 is waiting for your call to 679.

In response, the operator will send a package of settings to the phone, which will be automatically registered in the operating system of your phone - that is, you don’t have to do anything with “handles”. If you do not know the "magic" number of your operator, then refer to his website - this information should be there.

Restoring settings manually

Everyone is theoretically capable of setting the parameters manually, but not the one who is not at all friendly with the OS of his smartphone. Here is a brief instruction (for more or less experienced users it should be enough):

  • We get to the APN access point settings. Usually through the items "More" => "Mobile network" => "APN access point".
  • Create a new access point by clicking on the plus sign. A form will open with fields to fill out. Here you will need to set the connection name, username, APN parameters and password to enter the network.
  • We take the field values from the following table, it contains data for each operator:

Enter the values in the fields, save and reboot the phone. If, after switching on, the network is still absent, it means that things are bad and you have to go to the specialists. Here, in principle, is all you need to know about why the Internet does not work in your own phone.

In contact with

The problems described in the title have become more common in recent years. Previously, I only occasionally noticed negative reviews about the work of operators on Twitter, then I sometimes began to encounter network reception problems at home, then my friends started complaining (I have to help as someone who writes about smartphones!), And, finally, situations began to arise when I simply can’t get through to my mother, and my father complains that none of my friends and workmates simply can catch him on the net. At the same time, absolutely everyone has different smartphones: someone has a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, someone has a Meizu MX4 Pro, I have a whole string of different devices, from HTC One M8, M9 and A9 to my current favorite LG G4. Operators are also different for everyone: MTS, MegaFon, Beeline, different places where this happens (home, work, university, just somewhere on the road) and other conditions that are completely non-recurring. That is, from such a selection it is impossible to draw any exact conclusion why specific people do not catch the network, the smartphone shows zero "sticks" or a maximum of divisions, but no one can get through to them anyway. How to live with this and what to do? Now I'll tell you!

In short, there is a problem, and more and more people are noticing it, but as a rule, it is not solved by simply changing a smartphone or operator. There are many reasons, I suppose, but the simplest is this: the number of devices is growing at an incredible pace, as well as the number of subscribers and owners of sophisticated smartphones. At the same time, operators do not have time to cover new spaces and improve the current infrastructure at the same rate as the market is growing, and smartphone and platform manufacturers are more concerned with the development of frequencies, ephemeral 5G and other things than debugging current technologies, these are the realities. All this leads to what I wrote about above - you, for example, have MegaFon and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the device shows all the divisions, but you can’t get through. Why? Because cellular communication and mobile technologies are complex things.

I already wrote a short note about the good old phones, which, in fact, revealed my solution to this issue.

Here I just want to remind once again about this decision, because the problem is becoming more and more urgent, especially in large cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg. So, if from time to time you are faced with "does not catch the network", "I can not get through to you, how so ?!" and other problems, it is not necessary to immediately go and change the operator, this will hardly help, because for some MTS and MegaFon work terribly, for others MegaFon and Beeline, and for others nothing at all except TELE 2. It is enough just to go to any nearest Euroset, Svyaznoy or another store, buy a simple push-button phone worth up to 1,500, up to a maximum of 2,000 rubles (990 is better in general) and the simplest SIM card of any operator other than yours, preferably without a subscription fee, and delete all subscriptions and additional services and services in it (often this needs to be done through a call to the operator's call center). Then you put a SIM card in a new phone, and for your main number, through your personal account or a call to the support service, set up forwarding to a new SIM card under certain conditions: the number is busy, the number is unavailable or no one answers, say, 20 seconds.

Of course, if you are more or less versed in the topic of operators and how it all works, then this method will make you smile and seem something like shamanic dances or making wishes on a shooting star, I would have thought so myself if honestly. The trick is that this method works in my case, for example, has been tested for several years. A couple of years ago, my main number (MegaFon SIM card) started to catch badly, people didn’t call me, important calls were lost. At first, I called the support service, left requests for places with poor network reception, changed smartphones and did many other things that did not help at all, and then I just bought a handset for 900 rubles, put a SIM card from another operator there (in my case, MTS ), set up redirects according to the specified conditions, and the problem went away. Some calls now come to me on the second device, because the SIM card is basically still unavailable, but this has not bothered me for a long time.

Or another option - a smartphone with support for two SIM-cards. But that's a completely different story.

How often, instead of the expected voice of the right person in the handset, an indifferent one is heard: "The subscriber is temporarily unavailable." And if you are sure that the battery is charged, and you know for sure that this person was not going to turn off the phone, then what can cause a lack of connection, why sometimes you can’t get through?

    What it looks like when the connection fails:

    Corresponding sound signals and the voice following them, broadcasting that "the subscriber is temporarily unavailable";

    Short beep and call rejection;

    The absence of beeps, signals and messages - silence and call rejection.

    If we exclude a malfunction of the telephone itself or the SIM card, one reason for the lack of connection remains - cellular communication disruptions. First you need to understand the mechanism of its work.

    The essence of the mobile system is based on the division of the area into several sectors (“cells”), which make it possible to use radio frequencies repeatedly. Moreover, cells that are not “adjacent” to each other can use the same frequency. The quality of cellular communication depends on the frequency at which your phone operates.

    When you make a call by pressing a button on your device, a radio signal comes from it, overcoming a thorny path from several instances (operator's base station, controller, switch, etc.) until the connection starts and the signal goes back.

    Modern systems over the years of existence have improved the process of cellular communication and now guarantee the reliability and high speed of the connection. However, there are still problems. You yourself, probably, can give examples when the connection is lost - in the elevator, in the basement, in the subway. The reason here lies in the massive obstacles between your device and the base station. Often the signal cannot overcome the thickness of the earth or even thick walls, the connection may be broken in conditions of close proximity of houses.

    The reasons for the disruption of the network may lie in the banal overload of the station. For example, at the time of the New Year, everyone starts calling each other with congratulations and holiday messages, as a result, the stations or switches cannot cope with the huge volume of signals, as a result of which the possibility of connecting with the desired subscriber becomes unlikely.

    Communication may be disrupted due to changes in weather conditions - a large amount of precipitation, thunderstorms, hurricanes.

    It is impossible to exclude mechanical damage to the optical cable, failure of the computers at the station.

    Before calling the cellular company to which your phone is connected, check your device, perhaps rebooting it will give the desired result. But even if nothing has changed, try not to be nervous and calmly explain to the operator what the problem is. The main task of any cellular company is to provide communication services that satisfy the client, and if any problems occur, they, as a rule, do not depend on the human factor, and are eliminated quite mobilely.

Cellular communication involves the use of certain frequency bands. No other communication systems work here, which provides high-quality data transfer between base stations and mobile phones. But due to certain reasons, the network may be unavailable, which informs the phone when you try to dial a number.

Let's see what to do when the "Mobile network is unavailable" inaccuracy occurs on MegaFon. As a rule, trouble is solved quite easily.

Reboot

Cellular communication is a very complex thing. Millions of phones, modems, other devices and tablets work in the network of the same MegaFon. The network itself consists of many base stations, switches, other equipment and control centers.

In other words, the totality of the relationship is quite complex, albeit stable. But no one is immune from inaccuracies - failures can be observed both on the side of MegaFon and on the side of the subscribers themselves. If the phone informs that the mobile network is not available, it is necessary.

Reloading is a universal method to bring any digital device into emotion. It can hang in whole or in part, losing all or part of its functionality. Based on this, many devices (from a router to a computer) have a reset button.

In smartphones, this operation is performed using the function of the same name or an obvious off / on cycle. Let's see what happens during the reboot:

  • The device's RAM is cleared;
  • OS boots from scratch;
  • Various services and modules are restarted;
  • The phone is re-registered in the cellular network.

If you use MegaFon, and the message “Mobile network is not available” suddenly appeared on the screen of your phone, feel free to send the device to reboot.

Network failure

If an attempt to call someone or a person failed due to the origin of MegaFon’s inaccuracy “Network not found”, you need to look at the network indicator (these are vertical or horizontal sticks that indicate the quality of reception). If it's empty, then it says:

  • about the lack of network coverage at a particular point;
  • On the lack of network performance;
  • On failure of communication with the base station on the side of the phone.

With the first case, everything is clear - if the mobile network is not available, you need a site where it is available. Such situations often appear outside the city, where there are many times fewer base stations than in the city.

In the second case, the appearance of the inscription "Mobile network is not available" on MegaFon is possibly due to some technical work on the operator's side. The situation is very rare, because the camera equipment has a high stability. Finding out which side the breakdown is on is very easy - just try to get through from another phone.

If it also shows an inaccuracy, you must wait until MegaFon makes its own mobile network cheap.

If an inaccuracy appears with almost every dialing attempt, wait 10-15 minutes, restart the phone and try calling again.

In the third case, the inaccuracy appears on the side of the cell phone (or any other mobile device). Try to send the device to reboot and try to call again. If the symptoms are repeated on the second SIM-cards, then the matter is specifically in the phone.

It must be given to a repair shop (or handed over under warranty), where skilled experts will deal with it.

The most popular reason for the appearance of the inaccuracy "Mobile network is not available" on MegaFon is a SIM card failure. Make sure it is reliable in another phone - if nothing comes out, get a duplicate with the same number at the nearest service office.

Inaccuracy in roaming

The inaccuracy "Network not detected" by MegaFon may appear in roaming, especially in international. From time to time, foreign operators do not register the SIM card automatically. The circumstances may be different, but the answer is one thing - to go and try the manual network selection in the handset settings.

Trouble is solved in a similar way in local roaming (but much more often everything works fine here).

Chinese phones

Another reason for the appearance of the “Mobile network unavailable” inaccuracy on MegaFon is the use of phones and smartphones with “crooked” Chinese firmware. As experience shows, inaccuracies when using non-certified equipment are really likely. And getting rid of them is very difficult - unless you reflash the device in some service (provided that another or newer firmware is available).

There is only one advice here - take only certified handsets, modems and tablets.

The Android operating system pleases with a high level of reliability and stable operation. Despite this, in some cases, various troubles occur. Sometimes the operating network stops recognizing the mobile network, despite the fact that the smartphone is still fully functional. Before contacting the workshop, it is advisable to try to figure out the causes of the problem on your own and successfully fix it.

Potential Issues

Before contacting a service center, it is advisable to check for potential problems.

  1. At the very beginning, it is advisable to check the SIM card on another mobile phone, because, perhaps, the reason lies precisely in it.
  2. Insert another SIM card into the smartphone, which is 100% functional.
  3. If the two initial options did not help, you should remove all downloaded games and programs. Perhaps they contain viruses and can block the functionality of the smartphone.
  4. Another option to fix the problem is this. This will require the deletion of personal data. In many situations, returning the phone to its original state will successfully solve the problem.

Only if all of the above tips did not lead to the desired result, you should contact your cellular provider, and then to a service center. It is important to be prepared for the fact that the problem is usually in the SIM card, so it may need to be replaced, despite the fact that this option is often not as convenient as we would like.

If, however, the reason may be a virus or other dangerous software that should be promptly removed.

How to act?

If the mobile network is not available on Android, you can try several effective ways to solve the existing problem. You need to understand that the mobile operator does not always guarantee a high network level in 3G mode, so sometimes it is enough to switch to 2G. Manual transition to 2G often allows you to solve the problem that has arisen.

  1. Nokia. First you need to go to the settings, and then go the following way: phone - network - GSM.
  2. In Sony, the path will be as follows: settings - communication - cellular networks - GSM / 3G - only GSM.
  3. Samsung phones have specific settings: settings - network settings - band selection - GSM 900/1800.

In 99% of cases, the problem can be successfully solved on your own, so the services of a service center are not required in every case.

No user is immune from situations when telephone communication suddenly disappears. But not all subscribers understand what to do if the Tele2 mobile network is unavailable, and what to do to restore the system.

To simplify the task facing the user, the first step is to understand the reasons for what happened. Only by understanding why the connection was unavailable, you can troubleshoot and cope with the difficulties that have arisen. But it is worth preparing in advance that the process of dealing with difficulties will take some time. And sometimes it is completely capable of stretching out for a long time, if it will be impossible to cope with a malfunction without the help of Tele2 employees.

Before proceeding to consider the main causes of problems and effective ways to deal with troubles, you should understand what the Tele2 message “mobile network is not available” is.

If you do not go into details, such an inscription indicates the impossibility of making calls and other actions provided for by the current tariff. At the same time, the subscriber cannot get more detailed information and understand what this notification means in the context of the problems that have arisen. It only informs that it will not be possible to use the SIM card. The user is obliged to find out the rest on his own or, if he has the opportunity, contact the call center operators from another SIM card.

Why is the Tele2 mobile network unavailable?

There are many reasons why cellular communication is unavailable. Therefore, when faced with difficulties, you should pay attention to:

  • network coverage area (radio tower signal coverage);
  • outside temperature (in frost, some devices do not work);
  • SIM card balance status;
  • the presence of voluntary or automatic blocking of SIM cards by the operator;
  • the included mode "on the plane";
  • prolonged absence of active actions with a sim card (if no action is taken within six months, it will be deactivated);
  • failure in the phone or freezing of the operating system of the device;
  • failure of the cellular company;
  • breakdown or malfunction of the mobile;
  • incorrect position of the SIM card;
  • SIM failure.

Most of the described difficulties are easily and quickly solved, but some reasons for the lack of communication will require patience and active actions from the subscriber, and sometimes additional costs.

What to do if the Tele2 mobile network is not available?

If the cellular suddenly writes "mobile network unavailable", users should:

  1. check if the selected network is active and look at the connection quality (connection quality indicator in the upper corner);
  2. clarify the status of the balance of the SIM card and top up, if necessary;
  3. reboot the phone (crash recovery);
  4. turn off airplane mode if it is active;
  5. clarify the presence of a SIM card blocking (in your personal account or by calling the contact center from another number);
  6. check if the sim card is inserted correctly and clean the slot if it is dirty;
  7. check the operation of the phone by inserting another SIM card into it (if it is faulty, the connection will not appear even now);
  8. make sure that the SIM card is not damaged by installing it on another phone.

If the mobile device is faulty, you should contact the repair shop or consider purchasing a new one. In case of damage to the card, it is enough to visit the nearest company salon of the operator and report the malfunction. Managers working in it will make a free replacement, keeping the number, tariff plan and balance of the subscriber.
