Setting up satellite equipment to receive tricolor TV broadcasting. Assembling a satellite dish

Operator satellite television"Tricolor TV" is the leader and has several million subscribers. Setting up the receiver of the Tricolor TV provider is subject to an independent work, which we will consider.

Analog TV with confident steps goes into the distant past, which is being replaced by satellite broadcasting. The Tricolor operator's channel package has already gained mass use and reverence, and in general, it is well received by the consumer.

To use the services of a provider, it is worth purchasing standard set equipment. List of standard kit satellite equipment consists of components:

  • Satellite antenna;
  • Receiver;
  • Converter;
  • The required length of coaxial cable.

Buy this equipment will not be difficult at any certified dealer, as well as in retail sales in retail chains. In addition to acquiring the necessary kit, you should know how to install the antenna and catch the satellite signal on this antenna. It is possible to connect the antenna yourself, just like choosing right direction install it, and learn how to set up your TV and antenna to receive a signal.

Devices for receiving a digital satellite signal Tricolor TV

It is known that Tricolor TV binds own cards access to certain devices. Not many subscribers have the opportunity to pick up devices that they like, because, in addition, the company recommends using not only certain receivers, but also CAM modules.

  • GS-8306S
  • GS-8307
  • GS-8305
  • GS-8306
  • GS-8305
  • HD-9303 and other devices.

To receive support from the Tricolor TV operator, must be passed full registration and signed a service agreement. Cardsharing service provides typical services with more reasonable prices, but registration is also required. At the same time, registration on the portal and receiving the service takes place within minutes, also with the support of operators who are always online.

Nevertheless, in this publication it is worth dwelling on a specific example of setting up the broadcasting of satellite TV operator Tricolor. By the way, TV operator Tricolor is permissible to watch without a receiver.

Virtually every modern TV can be equipped with a tuner that supports DVB-S2, but we are talking exclusively about receiving free basic channels. So it's unnecessary to talk about decoding.

Satellite Activation: Hardware Setup

Before connecting the receiver to the TV and setting up the receiving device, it is worth installing the antenna itself with high quality. Next, connect the receiver to the converter using a cable, and then connect the equipment to the TV. Of course, the receiver connects to the network and starts up.

Below is an instruction on how to set up the Tricolor receiver. Instructions will be provided on specific example receiver GS-8307. Connecting the device to a TV should be done using the SCART or HDMI output. It should be noted that the picture from this device is output only through one output. That is, if the connection is made via SCART in the device settings, and the TV is connected with an HDMI cable, then the screen will display the absence of a signal.

Information about the connector being used is displayed on the display of the device. Output switching can be done:

  • The button on the remote control of the receiver: "in. signal";
  • Or in its menu in the item "Setting AV outputs-video inputs".

Setting up the operator's receiver Tricolor TV: manipulation instructions

In order to activate the receiver, it is turned on and an operator card is inserted into it. When connecting the cardsharing service, the device should be registered on the sharing portal.

Often, when selling a device, Tricolor TV channels are scanned, but if this did not happen, or a receiver that was already in use is used, then the first time you turn it on, the “Installation Wizard” is launched. It is worth going through three steps of the provider settings:

  • Choice of location region;
  • Operator selection;
  • Scanning TV channels.

The first step is to select an operator, which is done using the up/down and left/right buttons on the remote control. In this section, the language used is selected.

When selecting the main region, all operator's TV channels are subject to scanning in automatic mode.

The process is not complicated and takes a minimum of time.

Firmware for satellite receivers of Tricolor TV operator

In order to flash the receiver, you need the following list of additional devices:

  • RS232 - null modem cable;
  • Personal Computer;
  • GS Burner is a program designed to copy and download software and databases of GS devices: https://yadi.sk/d/z3wgU_GFf8a3U;
  • Firmware for specific model receiver.

Each presented firmware is provided with auxiliary instructions for the specified Tricolor TV receiver inside the file:

On April 2, 2018, all channels in the MPEG-2 standard were disabled. To watch the operator's channels, it is necessary to exchange MPEG-2 equipment for MPEG-4 equipment at the operator's dealers.

Despite the fact that in this moment on the market satellite services there are several operators: Telekarta, NTV-Plus and others, Tricolor TV remains one of the most popular. Tricolor TV is installed by residents of large settlements, towns and villages, as well as summer residents. It is not always possible to invite an installer for installation, and in terms of money it is expensive. Install satellite dish and setting it up for a satellite is easy and independent, if you follow the recommendations in the article "Tuning the Tricolor TV antenna on EUTELSAT satellites 36C and 36B alone".
When the antenna is tuned to the satellite, then it is necessary to register the channels in the receiver (models GS B522, GS B520, GS E501). For this purpose, our small manual in photographs serves.
Follow the instructions below step by step.

Software update for Tricolor TV receivers

The software of the receivers is constantly being improved by the manufacturer, shortcomings are eliminated, errors are corrected. Update software produced from the satellite when the receiver is turned on. An update panel will appear on the TV screen, which will offer an update, use the remote control to select the update operation and press the "OK" button. The update procedure itself takes several minutes, it is impossible to interrupt updates, otherwise the receiver will have to be carried to the service department.
If the time for updating from the satellite is missed, the receiver must be updated forcibly from external USB drive.
The firmware for the receiver must be downloaded from the GS website - the manufacturer of Tricolor TV receivers, removed from the archive, then transferred to a USB flash drive formatted in FAT 32. When the USB flash drive is connected to the receiver, the latter will request an update, the operation must be performed similarly to updating from a satellite.

Receivers that do not update the software in time may stop opening all or some of the encrypted channels.

Attention! Before updating the software of the receivers, you need to set up the channels, and when you turn on the receiver for the first time, register it with the Tricolor TV operator.

Tricolor Company occupies a leading position in the satellite television market in Russia and some other countries of the former USSR. More than 250 channels are available to subscribers digital television and 46 radio stations. Thanks to the use of satellites for relaying the signal, reliable reception is carried out even in the most remote corners of the country.

Tricolor receivers - why are they needed

used to decode the signal. special equipmentsatellite receivers. They are devices that receive and convert the signal received from the dish into a digital stream transmitted to the TV.

The signal from the satellite is broadcast in a special encrypted form. The receiver decodes it using special algorithms and decryption keys. To determine which channel package is available to the user, a special identifier is used - a smart card or, in latest models receivers - chip. They contain information about the receiver ID. In accordance with this, the device will decode only those channels for which the owner of the receiver has paid a subscription.

In use, subscribers have quite a few models of receivers that have been produced to work with Tricolor TV for several years. They differ greatly in their hardware and capabilities.

Tricolor company is constantly expanding the list of channels, adding support for HD and UltraHD channels. Outdated equipment can no longer be used to receive signals in the new broadcasting standards.

Exchange program for old equipment for new

To enable users not to buy new model receiver to replace the outdated one every few years, Tricolor offers a program to exchange old equipment for new. According to its rules, the client can make an exchange with an additional payment of his old device, through the Tricolor dealer network, for a new model. Thus, the client can save a significant amount of money, since the purchase of a new set is significantly more expensive.

To take advantage of this opportunity, the subscriber must first check on the tricolor.tv website or by calling the support service whether his receiver model falls under the terms of the program. If the answer is yes, he will contact old model receiver and a passport to the official dealer who is engaged in the exchange of receivers, pays the cost of the exchange procedure. The dealer draws up a contract for the provision of services, and the subscriber receives new equipment. In this case, the current subscription is transferred to new equipment.

How to set up the Tricolor TV receiver yourself

Despite the fact that some models have certain features, in principle all receivers are configured similarly.

First you need to install a satellite dish, correctly orienting it for reliable signal reception. Then the cable from the converter is connected to the antenna input of the receiver, and using commands from the remote control, the equipment setup procedure is performed. At the first stage, you should select the Time zone, in the next window in the operator's list - Tricolor TV. Then a window appears with the choice of the Region. Here you need to select your region of residence. Will begin automatic search TV and radio channels.

After the channels are found, you should click on the "Save" command. If everything was done correctly, it turns on Information channel Tricolor. The rest remain inaccessible for some time, while an inscription is displayed that the channels are encoded. You need to wait for the keys to be updated. To do this, the receiver must be left on for several hours. After a while, all channels will be decoded. Information about self setting is on the official website of Tricolor TV.

How to set up the receiver box 500

The Box 500 kit has some customization features for displaying images on two screens. To connect an additional device, follow these steps:

  • Open the main menu of the receiver;
  • Find item Ethernet 0;
  • Select connection type;
  • Then select the "enable server" command;
  • Search for channels on TVs. First on the main, then on the additional.

What to do if the GS 8306 receiver does not show HD channels

In order for the GS 8306 receiver to be able to decode HD channels, you need to update the firmware - the firmware on the internal flash memory of the device that controls its main functions. You can do this in service center or on your own.

AT last case First you need to download the corresponding firmware file from the tricolor.tv official website. This file must be written to a USB flash drive previously formatted in FAT32 format. The receiver must be turned off by inserting a USB flash drive into the USB connector, then turned on again. A warning message will appear on the screen stating that there is a firmware equipment. After the software update is completed and a message appears about the end of the procedure, you will need to remove the USB flash drive and reboot the device again. Then search for channels. HD programs will work after that.

During the firmware process, remember that you can not turn off and de-energize the device. This will cause the firmware update to fail. Fixing it yourself will be much more difficult.

Receiver does not turn on

If the receiver does not turn on, i.e. after pressing the power button, the indicators do not light up at all, most likely, the power supply has failed. It should be replaced.

When the indicators on the receiver light up, but there is no picture on the TV, or it does not find channels, you should check all the cables and the antenna connection. If this does not help, the fault may be in the firmware or motherboard device. You can try updating the software yourself. For more serious problems, it is better to contact service centers.

General information.

Before setting up a dish for a satellite, read the article on our website:

"Satellite television"

1. Assemble the antenna according to the assembly instructions. Firmly fix the support at the selected point. When installed on a balcony or loggia, the fence is drilled through and the support is attached with ordinary long bolts of large diameter. When mounted on a wall, holes are drilled in it and self-wedging anchor bolts are used.

2. Having mounted antenna, you should immediately turn it in the direction of the position of the sun at approximately 16-17 hours of the day, and install it with a slight forward tilt (3-5 degrees) relative to the vertical.
Often there are some obstacles in the direction of the satellite that can interfere with signal reception.
It should be noted that any obstacles, including window panes, not to mention trees and bushes, located in the signal path can make it impossible to receive it.

3. Installing antenna and directing it to the location of the supposed location of the satellite, fix it slightly on the bracket, but so that it can turn on it with little effort. Installing a clamp under the antenna mount on the bracket greatly simplifies the tuning process. In this case, the mounting bolts can be loosened to such an extent that the antenna will rotate freely, leaning on the clamp.

4. Then, connecting the receiver and the converter with a cable, proceed to tune the antenna.
To tune the antenna to the Bonum 1 satellite, you should enter the parameters of the transponder on which you will search for the satellite into the receiver.
Frequency - 12226, polarization - horizontal, flow rate - 27500.
This is done in the following way:
Enter the Menu, select "antenna installation", or "transponder search" and enter the appropriate transponder parameters. Be sure to check what type of converter (LNB) is set in the settings. AT this case LNB type "Single" must be selected. Local oscillator frequency must be: 10750.

Then enter with number buttons receiver remote control the above transponder parameters. The setting is made by the menu item "Signal level" (Scan, etc.). Modern tuners usually have 2 level scales. The first scale - “Level (Signal)” - shows the IF level at the tuner input. The second - "Quality" - shows the level of the useful signal with given parameters(frequency, speed and FEC). The level on the first scale includes both the useful signal from the satellite and the noise of the head, terrestrial noise, the noise of all devices on the way from the head to the tuner. Most often, before connecting the head, the level is "0" and becomes greater than zero when it is connected. Some tuners have only one scale, but often on them, when a useful signal is captured, the color of the scale changes, for example, it turns from gray to yellow.

The initial search is carried out on the first scale. The level on it increases as you approach the satellite. The search is performed by scanning the sector in which the satellite is supposed to be located. It should be borne in mind that obstacles, such as a nearby tree, the sun, or just a hand, also increase the signal level on the first scale. But through them it will be impossible to receive a satellite. When the tuner catches a signal from the satellite, the level will appear on the second scale - "Quality". Further tuning is carried out on the second scale for the maximum signal. The scale may be located in another menu item and, depending on the brand of the receiver and the version that serves it operating system, be placed vertically or horizontally. One thing is clear: when you disable the option " LNB supply» the scale will indicate zero value. You should scan, starting from the position in which you have the antenna installed, slowly rotating to the left or right degrees by 10-15 degrees different sides. Rotate slowly enough digital signal is not processed as fast as analog, and appears on the TV screen with some delay. As soon as you catch a signal, the bottom bar will also be colored. In this case, you should turn the antenna very carefully to achieve the maximum value of the signal level on the lower strip.
If you did not catch the satellite in one pass, then raise the antenna a little up or down and repeat the operation. You may have to do this procedure several times.

final score correct setting on the satellite is the presence of a picture on the TV screen (for this, after reaching maximum level signal, scan the satellite).
Having reached the maximum value of the signal level, proceed to the final tightening of the fastening nuts. They should be tightened carefully, all the time monitoring the signal level on the receiver scale, since in this case the antenna shifts slightly in one direction or another, depending on which side you tighten the nut.

Instructions for installing, configuring and registering the kit from Tricolor TV

With confident leaps and bounds, it is becoming a thing of the past, and it is being replaced by IPTV systems and satellite broadcasting. All of them are in great demand among the population, as they provide excellent image quality, allow you not to depend on natural and weather factors (weather has little effect on the signal), and also provide hundreds and thousands additional services and subscriptions.

Of course, our consumers first of all pay attention not only to the quality of the services provided, but also to their cost. It is desirable that the latter be as low as possible. An excellent ratio of price and quality of the services provided in the field of digital satellite television is characterized by the domestic company "Tricolor TV". Surely many of your friends or acquaintances are connected to their network.

Tricolor's equipment and channel packages are very cheap, and therefore affordable for most potential subscribers. However, our users would not be such if they did not make any attempts to somehow save money. Today we will consider setting up the Tricolor receiver, which under normal conditions is carried out by specialists.

There is nothing particularly difficult in this, and therefore you will surely cope.

Assembling a satellite dish

Referring to the attached instructions, assemble the antenna as carefully as possible. At the selected point (preferably on a hill), firmly fix the base. On the loggia or balcony, the device is mounted only on the outside of the wall, using it. On the upper floors, installation on the roof is possible. If you live in a private area, do not mount the antenna under trees or massive buildings that may Negative influence to receive a signal.

How to install?

Once you have assembled the antenna, it should be mounted on a suitable base, turned in the direction of approximately 4-5 hours, and then deflect the device four to five degrees downward. Once again, make sure that there are no massive objects in the selected direction for at least fifty meters, which can have a negative impact on positioning accuracy.

The probability of this is not so high, but sometimes even window glass can significantly degrade the quality of reception. In this case, you will not be able to set up the Tricolor receiver with all your desire.

The antenna is mounted on the bracket so that it can rotate only under the influence of a certain force. Under the mount of the device, you can install a simple clamp. If you do this, simply loosen the mounting bolts as much as possible: the antenna will turn very conveniently, relying on the device mentioned.

Some misconceptions

You can often hear that the antenna should be connected to the receiver only copper cable because it conducts the signal better. It should be immediately noted that such misconceptions have remained since the days of analog television when the type of cable did indeed have a significant impact on signal quality.

The fact is that the satellite is transmitting digital information. it does not matter what quality of cable it will be transmitted over. If everything is really bad, then you simply will not see any picture on the screen. There will be no stripes, “snow” and other things, as it was in the days of analog TV towers.

How to prepare the cable?

In order for the signal to pass through, you need to properly prepare the cable. It is often possible to observe when users clean contacts extremely inaccurately, tearing out half of the metal braid, and then they are surprised at the absence of any reaction from the equipment. How to avoid it?

  • Starting from the edge, carefully clean 15 mm. In this case, it is very important to try not to damage the shielding layer.
  • We fill the braid, again trying not to break it.
  • Next, screw the F-connector all the way onto the cable

Important!

However, there is one exception. If you use a good double-shielded copper cord with a strong central core, then the antenna can be located at a distance of one hundred meters from the TV. This is especially important if you have Full HD Tricolor TV receivers on hand, which are very demanding on data transfer speed.

In the case when you bought a Chinese product, where the thinnest threads of an incomprehensible metal are used as a braid, and iron, slightly covered with a layer of copper, acts as a core, you will have to additionally purchase good amplifier. If this is not done, then no setting of the Tricolor receiver will help.

It is also often thought that in order to provide good level signal, the antenna must be raised as high as possible. This opinion has also remained since the days of homemade wire receivers, which actually showed the best result if they were fixed on the very roof of the house.

Raising to an unattainable height, you do not guarantee at all good reception. Quite the contrary: if it is closer to the ground, then terrain folds can act as a prism, improving the directivity of the signal.

Let's start setting up

Before you set up the Tricolor receiver, you need to carry out certain manipulations with the antenna itself. First, connect the receiver to the converter using a cable, after which it can be configured.

Consider the procedure by which you can connect to the Bonum 1 satellite. To do this, you need to enter the data of the transponder into the device, with which you are going to find the satellite.

The data is:

  • The frequency is 12226.
  • Polarization parameters - horizontal.
  • Flow rate - 27500.

Basic receiver settings

So how is the Tricolor TV receiver configured? First, go to the menu by pressing the appropriate button on your remote control model. We go to the item "Installing the antenna" or "Searching for a transponder", and then enter the data that we provided above in the appropriate fields. If you do not know where and what menu item is located, simply study the instructions for your equipment.

It is very important to know what type of converter you have set in the settings. Select the "Single" option. In the local oscillator settings field, enter the number 10750.

Watching TV without a receiver

Is it possible to watch "Tricolor" without a receiver? Oddly enough, but it is possible. The point is that in modern TVs often there are tuners that support DVB-S2. They will receive a signal from the satellite. But! Only receive, there is no question of decoding.

Most likely, you can watch Tricolor without a receiver on such a TV if we are talking about basic free channels. However, even this is highly doubtful.

Setting the signal levels from the satellite

Further settings should be based on the “Signal level” (Scan) item. Almost all modern models tuners display two positions. Pay attention to the "Level" scale, as it displays the parameters of the inverter at the input. Accordingly, the “Quality” parameter displays the level of the useful signal (frequency, speed and FEC). In the first case, the full signal is displayed, including terrestrial noise, "white noise" and other "husks" that negatively affect the reception quality.

Before connecting the converter, the signal level on the first scale will be zero(most often). Many tuner models have only one scale. If a mixed signal is displayed, it is grey. When the equipment tunes in to the satellite, the color will change to green or yellow. Like this basic setup receiver "Tricolor TV".

Starting the search for a satellite

First, we are looking for a satellite on a "garbage" signal. The higher the desired object, the more noticeable the indicators become. To find what you are looking for, you should scan the sector in which it is hypothetically located. Note that a tall tree, barn, or other obstruction can increase the signal level on the first scale. Of course, you should focus only on the moment when the “Quality” scale starts to react or the color of the graph in the first column changes (as we talked about above).

"Thin" search

More exact search, as you might guess, is conducted by level on the second scale. Important! If you have some other firmware of the Tricolor receiver, or it belongs to some other model range, all the menu items we have named can be located in different places, and the levels on the scales can be horizontal or vertical. Be sure to check if the "power LNB" option is active, otherwise the equipment will show complete absence signal. Scanning must be started from the same position in which the antenna was installed.

To achieve best result, in the process of searching, it must be rotated 10-15 degrees in different directions.

Note that you should rotate the antenna as slowly as possible, since the digital signal is processed by the receiver with a decent delay. Look at the level of the second scale: when you catch the required frequency, it will be colored. In this case, with the utmost care and caution, rotate the plate until the reception level becomes maximum. Once again we warn you that the receiver for "Tricolor" (HD-quality) is demanding on this parameter, so pay close attention to this.

If you could not immediately catch the satellite, try moving the antenna up or down a little on the mast on which you have it fixed. It is possible that you will have to make several visits at once. Of course, the most obvious proof of the success of the adjustment will be the picture on the TV screen.

Once you have reached the maximum level of reception, you must carefully tighten the fastening nuts. You need to twist them very carefully, since the slightest displacement of the antenna up or down, as well as scrolling along the axis, can provoke a sharp deterioration in the signal level from the satellite.

Here's how to connect the Tricolor receiver.

Note!

For many amateurs who tried to put the antenna "by eye", nothing good came of this venture. So you have to be very careful with the settings. In addition to all of the above, we offer you a couple of other useful tips. Firstly, in no case do not rush: you should turn the antenna literally by a millimeter, constantly monitoring all indicators.

For tuning, it is preferable to choose only a clear and sunny day. Since the Tricolor TV dish can be found even in the most remote village in the forest, look at where the converters on the neighboring equipment are directed.

You can do something more tricky: on a sunny day, look at where the shadow of the converter is focused. As practice shows, such a simple technique can reduce the setup time to 10-15 minutes. But people sometimes mess around for days, unsuccessfully trying to aim at the satellite! Unfortunately, you can only pay attention to the shadow from the converter in autumn and winter, when the sun is low. The Tricolor representatives themselves say that when setting up, it is necessary to focus on the southern direction.

Well, the setup of the Tricolor receiver is completed! Happy viewing!
