The central navigation key can be programmed with its own functions. A Lyon battery with a capacity of 1100 mAh lasts about 29 days in standby mode, 20 hours when talking, and you can listen to music for 50 hours, according to the manufacturer. The battery is fully charged in 1.5 hours.
- Peculiarities. Built-in BT 3.0 with support for the A2DP profile allows you to connect a wireless headset to your mobile phone. This feature works well, but purchasing these headphones will cost the price of the entire phone. The micro USB connector does not support synchronization with a PC. The device has 1 radio module, because of this, two SIM cards do not work at the same time. The phone book contains 1000 names, and numbers are added to the blacklist manually. It is possible to set 5 alarms at once; FM radio does not work without a headset. The Opera browser is installed without the possibility of replacement. There are 4 games built in, but after a certain level you need to pay for each one to install the full version. There is a Facebook and Twitter application. EDGE connection is very slow.
Samsung GT-E1200 phone
The new Samsung GT-E1200 is also known under the names Samsung E1200 and Samsung Keystone 2. This budget model is intended for retirees, students and people who cannot afford expensive gadgets.
- Packaging and equipment. Model GT–E1200 is supplied in a compact cardboard box. Next to it there is a charger, a battery and, of course, instructions. The packaging shows an image of the phone and some of its characteristics.
- Appearance. The mobile phone looks simple, but tasteful. The manufacturers have made horizontal decorative stripes on the back plastic cover, and the display is covered with glossy plastic that gets dirty easily. The phone is comfortable and pleasant to hold in your hand. The model is available in white or black. The weight of the GT-E1200 is 65 grams, and the dimensions are 108×45×13.5 mm. There is nothing on the top and bottom of the device, and on the left side there is an eyelet for attaching a strap. The right side is equipped with a socket for charging and connecting a headset; it is hidden by a special plug. The inconvenience is that only branded chargers fit into this socket. If you don’t have it at hand, you won’t be able to recharge your phone, and if you lose your branded headphones, forget about music too. The flashlight function is replaced by the screen; in this mode, it begins to glow at its maximum capabilities.
- Assembly and screen. The phone is assembled well, all elements are tightly held in place, the cover can be quickly removed, but this does not affect the reliability of its fastening. The case does not wear out for a long time, and if abrasions occur somewhere, they are minimal and practically invisible. The display diagonal is 1.52 inches with a resolution of 128×128. It is capable of displaying about 64,000 colors. However, in sunny weather it is difficult to see anything on the screen. The colors are dull, the brightness can be set independently, as well as the backlight. If you tilt the phone, the image on the display will be distorted; small font also does not add advantages to the phone.
- Battery and sound. The battery capacity of the GT-E1200 phone is 800 mAh, one charge is enough for 4 days of average load. The speaker and microphone have proven themselves well, everyone can hear each other clearly, but there is a slight distortion of voices. Vibration alert is at an average level.
- Peculiarities. The phone book can store about 200 numbers; you cannot assign a melody to an individual contact, nor can you assign an image to it. There is no multimedia in the device, there is not even a built-in radio receiver. A stopwatch, calculator, timer and converter are standard. Only one of the games is installed - Super Jewel Quest.
Philips Xenium E311 phone
Philips cares about all its customers, including pensioners and people with visual impairments. It was for them that the Xenium E311 mobile phone with large numbers on the keyboard was developed.

The kit includes: a mobile phone, a docking station, a headset, a charging device, a set of fastenings, a warranty, a USB cable and an instruction manual (they did not make the font large).
- Appearance. When viewed from the outside, the Xenium E311 phone seems unusually large in comparison with other similar models. But for a pensioner this is a big plus, since hand strength, reaction and coordination of movements are no longer the same and such a phone is easier to handle. It holds better in the hand due to the rough back surface of the case. Its dimensions are 134?56?15 mm. They do not affect the weight, which is only 112 grams. Like the device itself, the docking station is dark blue and light green. Using a mounting kit (two screws with a metal strip), it can be fixed to a table or wall. All the necessary connectors and keys are located on the sides. There is a built-in flashlight and a headphone jack at the top. At the bottom there are contacts for the docking station and a micro USB socket. On the right side there is a flashlight on/off switch and a lock button, and on the left side there is a volume control. At the back there is an emergency call button, camera and speaker. Opening the back cover, we see the battery, slots for 2 SIM cards and a memory card.
- Ergonomics and screen. If we consider the Xenium E311 phone from the point of view of ergonomics, we will immediately note the large keys with large symbols printed on them. The layer of paint on the symbols is so thick that you can feel the desired key in complete darkness and with your eyes closed. When you press the buttons, a voice announces your action, plus there is a very bright backlight. On the display, entered numbers and symbols are also displayed greatly enlarged, so this phone is a real find for people with low vision. The emergency call button cannot be pressed accidentally, as it does not protrude above the body, which is very convenient. The screen is 2.4 inches - 37×49 mm. It has a resolution of 240×320 pixels. The image on it is not very clear, and in bright light it becomes even worse, but the characters being typed are visible normally.
- Peculiarities. The phone's menu design is no different from other Philips models. There is an FM radio with which you can not only listen to radio broadcasts without connecting a headset, but also record them. A calculator and Bluetooth 2.1 are built in as standard, and 2G communication is supported. The audio player recognizes mp3, Midi, etc. files. Video viewing is possible in MPEG 4 or H.264 format. There is a “magnifying glass” function, with its help a person can adjust images and text on the screen, enlarge or reduce. We note that the volume of the device is good; an incoming call can be heard at a great distance. During a conversation, speech is also clearly audible to both parties. The flashlight shines brightly and turns on with one button. The phone has 3.8 MB of memory, so it is better to purchase a micro SD card separately. The camera shoots in a resolution of 320×240 pixels.
- Battery. The Xenium E311 phone is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1530 mAh. According to the developers, this battery capacity lasts for 23 hours with constant talk and about 1600 hours in standby mode. During the tests, it turned out that if you use the device at medium loads, the charge will run out after 5 days. The battery can be charged either from the mains via an adapter or from a USB cable via a PC; it takes approximately 2.5 hours.
Mobile phone Fly TS112: review
No one will be surprised by phones using two cards, but Fly’s digging has gone even further. The Fly TS112 phone appeared with the installation of 3 SIM cards. Now if you use cards from three operators, there is no need to carry an additional phone.
- Packaging and equipment. The device is sold in a compact white cardboard box. It shows the Fly TS112 phone and indicates some of its features. The kit includes the device itself, headphones, battery, USB cable, original charger and instructions for use.
- Appearance. The body of the Fly TS112 phone is made of durable plastic; it has strict outlines and convenient sizes. On its front part there is a large display, under it there are quite large rubber buttons, each of them is located in its own cell. A flashlight is mounted at the top, and a microphone and charging socket are at the bottom. The left side has a headphone jack. On the back side there is a speaker under a protective grille, a company logo and a camera.
- Screen. In this model, the display diagonal is 2.8 inches. The images and text documents displayed on it are clearly visible, and it is convenient to read and type SMS. The screen has good brightness and normal color reproduction. Its large size only adds to the comfort when working with the phone.
- Peculiarities. The Fly TS112 interface is easy to use and intuitive. Even children and the elderly can quickly figure out how to operate it. The main screen displays standard icons: signal strength indicators, number of SIM cards, battery charge sensor, time and date. The flashlight is turned on by holding down the menu key. There is an FM receiver and an MP3 player. There is only one game here - snake, there is no Java. The phone supports Bluetooth. The camera can shoot in different degrees of lighting with a maximum resolution of 1280×960 pixels, and using the video player you can view files in avi, mp4 and 3gp formats.
- Battery. The device is equipped with a removable battery with a capacity of 1400 mAh. Such a powerful battery, even with 3 SIM cards, can hold a charge for about a week, with an average load on the phone. If the battery fails, it can be replaced with an identical one or selected from Nokia phone models.
Just5 Brick phone
With the help of the famous Artemy Lebedev studio, the Just5 organization created a retro model of the Just5 Brick phone.
- Packaging and equipment. Most manufacturers of mobile gadgets are switching to compact packaging, but Just5 is not like that. Their box is large in size. It is silver in color with the company logo in the foreground. Inside, on the first platform, the device itself is located, and on the second, in its niches, there are: charging, the most ordinary headphones and a proprietary orange USB cable. The bottom of the box is filled with thick instructions and a warranty card.
- Appearance. The Just5 Brick phone attracts attention from afar. The design of the device is thought out to the smallest detail; it is pleasant to hold in your hand. The body is plastic and has a rectangular shape with truncated corners. The front part is occupied by a very small display, only 1.77 inches, and it is easy to leave fingerprints on it. The keyboard takes up the rest of the front part, the buttons are very large, but they look good. The backlight is quite bright. The model can be: black, yellow, white, red and brown-green. On the left side there is a volume control key and an FM radio start key. On the right is the flashlight switch. The bottom edge is equipped with a microphone, a special eyelet for a strap and a micro USB connector. At the top there is a flashlight, a headphone jack and a retractable telescopic antenna. There is a built-in lock button and speaker at the back. Easily removing the back cover, you will see the battery and one slot for a SIM card.
- Screen. The display in Just5 Brick is 1.77 inches with a resolution of 160×128 pixels and support for 65,000 shades. Color rendering and backlighting leave much to be desired, graininess is large and viewing angles are poor. The interface only works with white and black colors. It looks like a complete imitation of the old monochrome display.
- Peculiarities. Pensioners and people with vision problems will undoubtedly be pleased with the fonts; they are very large, as are the buttons. Speech is transmitted in good quality, everyone can hear each other without interference. The call speaker is quite loud, and the vibration alert is also felt well. The FM radio picks up channels quickly and transmits without interference, even without extending the antenna. The phone menu is easy to understand; when locked, the date and time are displayed large on the display. The address book is designed for 250 contacts.
- Battery. The Just5 Brick has a battery capacity of 1000 mAh. According to the manufacturer, it can last 8 hours in conversation mode, and about 250 hours in standby mode. In general, with average loads, you will need to charge the device no earlier than every 4 days.
