The best gaming tablets. The best budget tablets

Recently, the tablet has become a mega-popular device that has gathered a huge audience of users, young and old. Now everyone is buying tablet computers - business people, students, schoolchildren and even the younger age group require this miracle of technology from their parents. Responding to the great demand, the market is flooded with these devices, offering the consumer an excellent range of PCs. However, this makes it very difficult tablet selection and the purchase of a device - it is very difficult not to get lost in the variety of the presented assortment. To help future owners, below I will tell you which tablet to choose and how to do it correctly: what you need to pay attention to and what is just a nice addition, how to correctly determine the technical parameters of the purchased equipment, etc.

Recently, I myself had to answer the question of which tablet to choose for daily use, so I made for myself a detailed list of all the characteristics, on the basis of which I already chose the right tablet, while still being inexpensive. I share them with you.

Diagonal

The very first thing to do is to decide on the diagonal. The most popular now are PCs with screens of 7 and 9.7 inches (similar to the iPad). Of course, a large screen is preferable, however, the cost of such a device will be an order of magnitude higher than its smaller counterparts.

If you take an inexpensive tablet for playing games for a child or for use when moving (for example, on the way to work in the subway) - as a compact mobile device, then the portable "seven" will be the best tablet for you. If the gadget is bought for permanent use at home as a stationary device or for work (especially for Internet surfing), then 9.7 would be an ideal option.

In addition to these two sizes, there are also 8-inch tablets (which are something of a golden mean), and devices with screens that have a diagonal of more than 10 inches.

Aspect ratio and resolution

An important parameter in choosing a tablet computer is the aspect ratio of the display. It comes in two types - 16:9 and 4:3. Here the choice will depend on the nature of the use of the future device. If the tablet is bought mainly for watching movies, videos and games, then a resolution of 16:9 is required. But if you are going to devote more time to surfing the web, then it is better to purchase a device with a 4:3 screen.

The resolution of the tablet display is also important. There is only one rule here - the higher it is, the better, but the more expensive the device. The standard resolution for 7” is 1024x600, for 9.7” it is 1024x768. With a standard (or so) resolution, the picture is quite high quality and pleasing to the eye. When choosing a tablet with a lower resolution, the clarity of the image is lost, pixelation appears (the appearance of "squares" on the image). When buying a device with a higher resolution, the image, respectively, becomes smoother, clearer, more contrasty and more detailed. At the highest resolution (currently 2048x1536), the user gets a great screen with the ability to view HD 1080 video, which, as we know, requires display resolution limits of 1920x1080.

Housing material

Today, tablets are made from two materials - plastic and metal. Each of them has its own advantage. So, plastic "provides" the PC with a low weight, which is a fairly weighty argument. Also, quite often, plastic tablets have a Soft Touch coating - a very pleasant to the touch, non-staining coating that allows you to tenaciously hold the device without the risk of falling out.

Tablets in metal design are characterized by greater durability and reliability. They resist scratching well and retain their “presentation” much longer. However, they have two drawbacks - more weight and lower sensitivity of the Wi-Fi transmitter, which is "jammed" by the metal of the case.

Tablet battery

Your tablet battery is your battery life and also a significant part of its price. The more battery capacity you choose, the longer you can use your tablet without having to be near a power outlet. However, you should not demand from a 7-inch PC a battery with a capacity of 10000 mAh. Each device has its own reasonable battery capacity limits. For 7 ”it is, on average, 4000 mAh, for 9.7” - 7000-8000 mAh. Accordingly, for tablets with a larger diagonal, this figure should be higher.

These are average figures - on the market you can easily find devices with a smaller or larger battery capacity. In the first case, you will save on the purchase (an acceptable option when using a PC as a stationary device at home), in the second case, you will get a device with excellent autonomy, which will be a godsend for frequent travelers. I also suggest using the methods described in my other article.

Matrix type

If you are going to choose the right tablet, be sure to pay attention to the type of screen matrix. There are about a dozen of them, but the most common are three types: TN, TFT and IPS. We will not delve into the subtleties of the design of these matrices, but simply characterize them by quality.

The TN type matrix is the least preferred in terms of the quality of the output image. And although even relatively expensive brands (Acer, Lenovo, ViewSonic, etc.) still offer tablets with such screens, TN confidently loses to the other two matrices.

TFT tablet matrix is the most common. It gives good viewing angles, which is important for comfortable work, has good color reproduction and picture brightness. The indisputable advantage of tablets with TFT displays is their relatively low cost with quite decent characteristics.

And finally, the IPS screen in the PC today is rightfully in the lead. It has the widest viewing angles of all presented (up to 180 °), the highest contrast and high-quality color reproduction. The only drawback of such matrices is their higher price, but you have to pay for the pleasure.

By the way, not so long ago, devices with an IPS + and Super IPS + matrix appeared on the market, which are out of competition - both in image quality and, unfortunately, in price.

CPU

The processor is the brain of the tablet, responsible for the speed of data processing. A good processor allows you to quickly load pages on the Internet, carry out a large number of operations simultaneously, play powerful games, etc. There are two perimeters to choose a processor - the number of cores and the operating frequency.

If you are taking for work that requires a large load on the device, then it is better to choose a tablet with two or even four cores, each of which has a frequency of at least 1.2 GHz. However, if the tablet is taken mainly for simple casual toys, reading and drawing, then you can safely purchase a single-core device with a gigahertz frequency - it will be enough for these tasks.

Fans of graphically complex games (Battlefield, GTA, NFS) need a powerful processor. A good graphics accelerator is also required. Now many PCs are equipped with Mali 400, which “pulls” graphics-capacious toys without any problems.

Operating system

The availability of the user interface and the set of working functions of your future tablet directly depends on the operating system (OS), which is widely represented in three forms: Windows, Android and iOS. It is difficult to advise anything here - to each his own. However, it is worth noting that:
- Windows has long been familiar to the user on stationary home computers;
- Android is constantly updated and improved, being a very progressive OS;
- iOS is a proprietary (private) operating system that only Apple products have - that is, the always popular iPads.

RAM

The tablet's RAM in importance is actually on the same level as its processor. It, along with the processor, is responsible for the performance of the device, allowing you to process photos and video files, play "heavy" games, surf the world wide web, etc. The more RAM is available, the faster and better your tablet will work. Respectively:
- 512MB of RAM is enough only for simple tasks: reading, simple toys like alavar or nevosoft, working in text editors, etc .;
- 1GB of RAM will allow you to work quite productively on the Internet, watch videos, listen to music and play modern, graphically heavy toys;
- 2 GB of RAM is enough for a tablet "with a head." With such a volume, you are unlikely to encounter any freezes, "braking" and the like.

Wireless capabilities

It is worth highlighting the 4 most popular interfaces: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G.

Bluetooth is needed to enable wireless data transfer between devices, connect a wireless headset, QWERTY keyboard and other accessories. Pay attention to the numbers after the module name - 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0. The higher the number, the faster, more reliable and less energy-intensive operation of the module awaits you.

Wi-Fi allows the tablet to connect to the Internet wherever there are appropriate access points. A very necessary and popular interface, which is equipped with almost all tablets.

3G and 4G modules allow you to always have your own Internet "at hand" without depending on home or work Wi-Fi networks. Given today's availability of mobile Internet, 3G and 4G modules are very desirable for a tablet, although you will have to pay a round for their presence. amount. They differ among themselves, respectively, in price and "performance" - the 4G module is a more advanced representative of the 4th (latest) generation of mobile communications.

USB OnTheGo (OTG)

Whether or not there is USB OTG support in a future tablet is worth finding out for sure. Many device capabilities depend on this: connection of 3G modems, flash drives, external HDDs, mice and other peripheral devices.

The presence of support for this parameter in a tablet can be referred to as: USB OnTheGo, USB OTG (abbreviation) and USB Host. Also, the manufacturer in the specifications may simply indicate that the tablet supports USB.

Inner memory

Any tablet computer has internal memory, the volume of which can be 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64GB. Of course, the more internal memory in the PC, the better - you can save on the subsequent purchase of an SD card. However, not all devices have large built-in memory, while being very worthy candidates for purchase in other respects. In this case, you need to make sure that the tablet supports memory expansion using SD / microSD (SDHC or SDXC) cards.

Large internal memory will allow you to store a lot of information without resorting to external devices (flash drives, hard drives), which is very convenient - especially when using the tablet on the road.

Extra options

Everything that will be listed in this paragraph is not mandatory in the conventional sense. For some, some functions will be very important, for someone - not needed at all. Therefore, when choosing the right inexpensive tablet for you personally, this information can be very useful.

GPS. A very handy feature, especially in the absence of a standard navigator. It will allow you not to get lost in an unfamiliar city/country, to find any address or business. In tablets, it is not common, as it requires additional money that is not included in the cost of the total mass of devices designed for the average user.

accelerometer. Also called a gyro sensor or G-sensor. With this component, the tablet instantly responds to changes in position in space. In other words, it turns to face you when you turn it into landscape or portrait orientation. A rather useful feature that allows you to conveniently work with the device and play comfortably on it. However, it is worth making sure that the G-sensor is switchable, since it is still not always needed.

Cameras. The rear camera in the tablet, designed for photography and video shooting, is more decorative than useful. Even with a sufficient number of megapixels (about 5), the device will shoot at a C grade, significantly losing even to an average amateur soap dish.

But the front camera still justifies its presence in the PC. It is used for video communication via Skype or similar programs, allowing you to see the interlocutor. It is not worth chasing a large number of pixels - experience shows that this indicator does not always guarantee a good image. Here it is better to check everything "manually".

Light sensor. Not all tablets are available, although the thing is quite useful. It is designed to optimally set the contrast and brightness values \u200b\u200bfor the lighting conditions in which the tablet is currently located. This sensor makes it possible to increase the battery life of the PC and work more comfortably with the device.

In addition, the tablet can offer you such "services" as: broadcasting sound at a radio frequency (FM transmitter); measurement of atmospheric pressure (barometer); easy charging from any computer (USB charging option); cable connection to the Internet (Ethernet); connection to a monitor / TV (HDMI) and much, much more.

Also a good feature for a universal tablet is the ability to connect a removable keyboard to it. then he will generally be able to replace the desktop computer in most cases.
Whether all this is necessary is up to each individual user, since the operating conditions of the PC (and hence the requirements) are different for everyone.

Manufacturers

I hope I answered most of the questions on the topic "How to choose the right tablet inexpensively"?
Happy shopping! By the way, I bought my tablet in the Pleer.RU store - a large selection and reasonable prices, I recommend it!

P.S. Today's dessert is a detailed lesson on what peripheral devices can be connected to a tablet - flash drives, mice, modems, bluetooth headsets, etc.

A large number of people, choosing which is better to buy a tablet for games, are primarily guided by its overall performance. This approach is well justified. After all, in order to be able to run absolutely all applications and games, the buyer is even ready to ignore other factors when choosing a device, such as the quality of materials, screen size or sound system volume. In the first place, given this rating, it will always be performance. This top is a selection of the best devices with leadership characteristics. Such tablets will help their owners not to think about the possibility of launching heavy games for several years ahead, as well as bring a new gaming experience and a great gaming experience. It is for such purposes that a selection of the best gaming tablets of 2016-2017 has been compiled, which contains not only good processors, but also high-quality displays, which makes the feeling of the game even more realistic.

Opens our rating, a tablet from the Japanese company Sony. With its compact dimensions and very light weight, the device is the best choice when the user needs compactness and ease of handling. This gadget has all the makings to be the best tablet for gaming. With a Snapdragon 801 processor and 3 GB of RAM in its arsenal, such a device will be able to run any, even the most demanding game. On the shoulders of him will be the playback of complex video, up to 4K resolution.Among other characteristics, it is worth noting the screen, which has 8 inches 1920 × 1200 pixels. A complete set of communication modules, even features such as GPS, NFC and a 3G and LTE communication module.

A key feature of this tablet for games is the ability to protect against moisture, which allows you to even submerge the device in water at a shallow depth. Such a function may be needed if your tablet often gets wet in the rain, you are in the pool, on vacation. Additional protection is a significant plus to the ultimate functionality of the gadget.

The second representative in our review is one of the latest devices from Samsung for 2016. The Korean giant has provided its best tablet based on the latest version of Android 6.0 OS. The tablet is based and runs on the company's own Exynos 5433 processor. With 8 cores, it is able to provide all users with the uncompromising speed required for a tablet for gaming and the Internet. Convenience for browsing will be the size and aspect ratio of the gadget 4:3, thanks to which reading and staying online, in addition to games, will give its owners an additional level of comfort. The display has a diagonal of 8 inches and a high pixel density on the screen, which in total gives a resolution of 2048 × 1536 pixels. The Super Amoled plus display is extremely bright and contrasty, and delivers deep, vibrant colors.Built-in memory in the device 32 gigabytes, which can be expanded through the support of microSD memory cards up to 128 GB.

Additionally, a radio module is installed in the device, thanks to which you can make calls and work on the Internet using 3G, Wi-Fi and LTE modules. All the characteristics fit into a very thin and light body, which has a thickness of 5.6 mm and a weight of 267 g.

The gadget, released by the Lenovo brand in the Yoga Tablet line, is a good tablet when choosing a performance solution for games and movies. The powerful filling of the device is complemented by several key features. The device has a built-in projector, so watching videos or holding business presentations does not depend on the location. The picture is clear and very detailed.This gadget is great for gaming. With all the key features such as Intel Atom x5 Z8500 2.24GHz (4 cores) processor, 2GB of RAM, the machine is capable of high FPS (frames per second) during gameplay. It also handles any heavy application and 4K video playback with ease.

Another interesting feature of the gadget is the presence of a universal multi-section stand, thanks to which the device can be hung on the wall or installed on any plane so that the location when playing on the tablet, watching a movie or typing will be comfortable for the user.

The version of the tablet from the manufacturer of video cards and mobile chips from Nvidia is a rare option compared to other representatives of the rating. A good and very productive tablet in terms of the combination of its characteristics has an excellent price-quality ratio. The Nvidia Tegra K1 2.2 GHz processor, built on its own design, is supplemented with 2 gigabytes of RAM. In addition to internal memory, the device has support for external memory cards up to 128 GB, thanks to which it will allow you to install more high-quality productive games and applications on your tablet.

Additionally, it is worth noting the ability to connect an external gamepad, which is sold separately. The case for the device is also very convenient. This approach will definitely please fans of hardcore gaming. A nice feature among the services of the device is streaming games from a PC, as well as full porting of well-known titles such as Trine 2, Half-life 2 Episode 2, Portal and many others. According to the totality of the proposed characteristics and services declared by the developers, the Nvidia gaming tablet definitely ranks first and is perfect for this type of activity.

Based on the best of its own tablet computers, Apple has developed the best tablet of 2016. It combines performance, compactness, lightweight size and is based on the latest version of the iOS mobile operating system. The approach when a company manufactures and designs hardware, as well as improves its OS, constantly testing, supplementing and eliminating errors, adds a significant advantage to it compared to other players in the market. And this applies to both performance and optimization in games, and the entire system as a whole. It is perfect not only for playing games on the tablet, but also for working on the Internet, for reading books and magazines. With a 9.7-inch display with a 4:3 aspect ratio, the developers have equipped it with a high-quality IPS matrix, thanks to which the display is perfectly visible in the sun, the picture is very detailed and realistic, and the viewing angles are maximum.

Even though this is not the most productive option in terms of characteristics, but all heavy games on it run smoothly and without brakes. Even for playing World of Tanks, it suits much better than most productive solutions on the Android platform, thanks to the high frame rate in the game, a smooth and detailed picture with high graphics values.With such decent dimensions, thickness of 6.1 mm and weight of only 444 grams, the tablet is able to work up to 10 hours offline.

WEXLER TAB i10

The last and inexpensive representative of the rating is not a famous brand for 2016. But its characteristics and cost speak for itself. Processor Intel Atom Z3735F, 1.83 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels. On board, the tablet carries 16 GB of permanent memory, and can also be supplemented with a memory card up to 64 GB. The device has support for all necessary wireless modules, as well as 3G. Together with the radio module, the device is able to make voice calls and send SMS, which will be a nice addition for those who like not only to play games, but also to have a very functional all-in-one solution.

The gameplay, thanks to the performance of the characteristics, is also not satisfactory. All games and applications run on the tablet in seconds. The operating system of the device is Android 4.4.

Summarize

Competition in the gaming tablet market is growing, and the end consumer only benefits from this. This review will help you decide which tablet for games in 2016-2017 is more suitable for you from the top of the best models on our list.

The tablet market is shrinking every year and good models are getting rarer. Who took all the laurels, in principle, is clear. You rarely see a user with an 8-inch tablet in their hands. It is more convenient to use a smartphone that offers the best mobility, performance and Internet access via LTE connection.

However, not everything is so sad, you can still find current models released in 2018 and with good parameters. After all, the only thing that smartphones cannot offer is a 10-inch screen diagonal. These tablets remain in demand and they are presented in our rating.

Which tablet to buy in 2019?

  • The first thing that is required from a tablet in 2019 is a decent screen size of at least 10 inches. It is imperative that it be an IPS-matrix, the picture in this case is of high quality, bright and with wide viewing angles.
  • The level of performance is also important, otherwise you will not be able to reveal all the capabilities of the Android 8 system. Normal amounts of RAM and shared memory are required, where the ideal ratio would be 4 and 64 gigabytes, respectively.
  • Next, you need a good battery, as well as support for LTE communication to connect to the Internet from anywhere where cellular communication is available.

The concept of budgetary can be understood in different ways. Why choose rubbish for 5000-7000 rubles with a small screen that will only disappoint? It is better to increase the budget a little, but take a decent option. The models presented below are exclusively budget, but within the framework of their hardware level.

conclusions

Our selection is exclusively from the current models released in 2018. We basically did not look at too cheap tablets, since such devices do not correspond to the realities of 2019 in any way. If you select a tablet, then purchase a minimum of 10 inches.

As for prices, this is the optimal level at which disappointment will not follow. All models are designed both for the Internet and watching videos, as well as for comfortable gaming in modern games.

Excluded from selection

TurboPad 803

  • Operating system: Android 5.1
  • CPU: Spreadtrum SC7731G, 4 cores, 1300 MHz
  • Display:
  • Weight: 328 g

Price: from 4 421 rubles.

Perhaps the cheapest tablet computer among those equipped with an 8-inch LCD panel. Only operator products, which are rarely on sale, have a lower price, and even require prepayment for several months of communication in advance. Here you pay for TurboPad 803, after which you forget about the store you visited.

The device turned out to be quite heavy, despite the plastic case used here. The device received at its disposal a simple GPS-chip. But the most important thing is that he is at least present here. It is better not to talk about cameras - they are none. But about a couple of slots for SIM-cards, a word is still worth saying. You can use this tablet as a phone. You will also have access to the global web, but the data transfer rate will be limited to 3G networks.

Advantages

  • There are two slots for SIM-cards;
  • The display has good viewing angles;
  • Not the oldest OS version;
  • Built-in Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0 modules;
  • Relatively long run time.

Flaws

  • Only 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of permanent memory;
  • Bad cameras;
  • I would like to get support for LTE;
  • Mark Corps.

Prestigio MultiPad PMT3131 3G

  • Operating system: Android 6.0
  • CPU:
  • Display:
  • Weight: 470 g

Price: from 6 081 rubles.

A rare guest of our rating is a 10-inch tablet! The low price tag provided him with a relatively low screen resolution - pixelation is striking here. Otherwise, this is a typical budget tablet. The simplest cameras are built into it, purely for the sake of luring the buyer. Also, the device is endowed with two slots for SIM-cards. And as you might guess, it can work in cell phone mode. As for data transfer, it is carried out through 3G networks.

The main advantage of Prestigio MultiPad PMT3131 3G is the operating system. "Six" and does not think to become obsolete - it has a very wide functionality and stable performance. It is a pity that some of its capabilities are limited by the components used. In particular, the buyer will have to independently adjust the brightness of the backlight, since there is no corresponding sensor.

Advantages

  • Large screen with wide viewing angles;
  • Fairly recent version of Android;
  • Moderately powerful processor;
  • Built-in modules Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11n.

Flaws

  • Bad cameras;
  • Low display resolution;
  • Great weight;
  • Battery life could be longer;
  • Need more RAM.

Huawei MediaPad T1 7 3G 16Gb

  • Operating system: Android 4.4
  • CPU: Spreadtrum SC7731, 4 cores, 1200 MHz
  • Display:
  • Weight: 278 g

Price: from 6 250 rubles.

Now the Chinese company Huawei has concentrated on flagship and mid-range devices. However, inexpensive tablets remain in its assortment. Some of them work without much lag, and in terms of performance they look relatively good. In particular, this can be said about the MediaPad T1 7. A rare budget device with such dimensions gets a metal case. And here is such a case! Also, the device can please the presence of space for a SIM-card. With it, you can talk to someone or access the Internet via 3G networks.

Otherwise, this is a typical "tablet" that sells for little money. The list of sensors here is limited to the accelerometer and gyroscope. The battery capacity does not exceed 4100 mAh - with active use, you will have to charge it every night. The simplest navigation module is also built in here.

Advantages

  • The body is metal;
  • Built-in Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11n modules;
  • There is support for 3G and phone calls;
  • The display is made using IPS technology;
  • Built-in gyroscope.

Flaws

  • Large for a 7-inch device weight;
  • Old version of the operating system;
  • Low display resolution;
  • Bad cameras.

Lenovo TAB 3 Essential 710i

  • Operating system: Android 5.0
  • CPU: MediaTek MT8321, 4 cores, 1300 MHz
  • Display: 7 inches, IPS, 1024×600 pixels
  • Weight: 300 g

Price: from 5 990 rubles.

The Chinese company Lenovo rarely sells its tablets at a low price. The TAB 3 Essential 710i is the exception to the rule. The manufacturer had to forget about expensive components when creating it. As a result, the device received a minimum amount of memory. I am glad that at least there is a slot for a SIM card, thanks to the installation of which it becomes possible to use 3G networks.

The tablet received at its disposal a battery with a capacity of 3450 mAh. Unfortunately, this is not enough for a long battery life. If you actively use the “tablet”, then by night you will need to connect to the charger. Otherwise, this is a typical budget tablet, which lacks stars from the sky.

Advantages

  • A screen with wide viewing angles is installed;
  • Sufficiently powerful processor;
  • Built-in 3G support;
  • Not the oldest version of the operating system.

Flaws

  • Large weight for a compact tablet;
  • Few auxiliary sensors;
  • Short battery life;
  • Bad cameras;
  • Very little memory.

Digma CITI 1903 4G

  • Operating system: Android 6.0
  • CPU:
  • Display: 10.1 inches, IPS, 1280×800 pixels

Price: from 7 650 rubles.

A very controversial tablet. On the one hand, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of permanent memory are built into it. This is rare in budget devices, which confirms our rating. On the other hand, the work of the “tablet” is provided by a processor that is low-powered by modern standards. And the whole tablet consists of such contradictions. A fairly recent version of the operating system is installed here, but the picture is displayed on the screen with a low resolution. A capacious battery can also please, which provides moderately long work from a full charge. Cameras can be annoying. Although you can’t call them frankly bad - the front camera, in particular, shows itself worthy in video calls.

Advantages

  • Good battery life;
  • Large amount of RAM and permanent memory;
  • There are two slots for SIM-cards;
  • Built-in support for LTE;
  • The display has wide viewing angles;
  • Not the oldest version of Android installed.

Flaws

  • Low resolution 10.1-inch screen;
  • Not a very powerful processor;
  • The almost complete absence of auxiliary sensors.

4Good T101i WiFi 32Gb

  • Operating system: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Atom Z3735F, 4 cores, 1330 MHz
  • Display: 10.1 inches, IPS, 1280×800 pixels
  • Weight: 890 g

Price: from 6 990 rubles.

If you want to buy a tablet inexpensively, then first of all you will have to choose among the options that operate under Android. If you're looking for some sort of laptop running full Windows 10, you can take a look at the 4Good T101i. You won't get long battery life here. But on the other hand, the device comes with a docking station in the form of a keyboard, on which you can find a full-sized USB 2.0 and some other useful connectors.

This tablet offers access to the Internet only using Wi-Fi. The structure of the device includes 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of permanent memory. But you need to understand that this is very little for Windows - you won’t install a full-fledged Adobe Photoshop here, as you will have to forget about heavy computer games like FIFA 17 or Battlefield 1. This product is primarily designed for convenient work with documents, but nothing more .

Advantages

Flaws

  • Very large weight;
  • Little memory;
  • Gets hot when charging
  • Short battery life.

LEXAND SC7 PRO HD

  • Operating system: Android 5.1
  • CPU: MediaTek MT8312, 2 cores, 1300 MHz
  • Display: 7 inches, 1024×600 pixels
  • Weight: 270 g

Price: from 5,060 rubles.

This tablet was primarily created for taxi drivers. The manufacturer recommends using it as a GPS navigator. This is evidenced by the presence in the kit of a full-fledged version of the Navitel application, which usually costs a lot of money. If you insert a SIM card, you can also find out about traffic jams in time. But you should not hope for fast data transfer - only 3G networks are supported here as much as possible. However, the tablet cannot be called fast and powerful at all - it is not suitable for ordinary home use.

Advantages

  • There are two slots for SIM-cards;
  • Built-in 3G support;
  • The full version of Navitel is preinstalled;
  • You are not using the oldest version of Android;
  • Relatively light weight.

Flaws

  • Very short battery life;
  • Weak processor;
  • Little permanent memory;
  • Not the best display.

Acer Iconia Talk B1-723 16G

  • Operating system: Android 5.1
  • CPU: MediaTek MT8321, 4 cores, 1300 MHz
  • Display: 7 inches, TFT, 1024×600 pixels
  • Weight: 280 g

Price: from 4 990 rubles.

This tablet was created for those people who need a product from a company with a name. This is not some nameless Chinese, if necessary, you can easily find a service center in your city that cooperates with the manufacturer of the tablet computer. The creators have introduced 16 GB of permanent memory here, which may well be enough at first. But 1 GB of RAM is already a strange decision, this is barely enough for the operating system and applications. There is also a slot for a SIM card - strictly for data transfer via 3G. Somewhere under the body is a modest 3380 mAh battery. In general, this is a good choice for those who need a quality tablet for reading books on the subway and other very simple tasks.

Advantages

  • Optimal amount of permanent memory;
  • Relatively light weight;
  • There is support for 3G networks;
  • Sufficiently powerful processor;
  • Not a very old version of Android.

Flaws

  • Little RAM;
  • Virtually no auxiliary sensors;
  • Low battery life.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 SM-T280

  • Operating system: Android 5.1
  • CPU: Spreadtrum SC8830, 4 cores, 1300 MHz
  • Display: 7 inches, IPS, 1280×800 pixels
  • Weight: 274 g

Price: from 9 790 rubles.

This tablet barely fits into our framework. Its cost is only slightly below 10 thousand rubles. In this regard, not every person will call this creation budgetary. However, it is not worth the money to regret buying it. The device works much more stable than many of its competitors reviewed in today's top. The structure of the device included 1.5 GB of RAM - this is quite a good parameter. But there is very little permanent memory here - you will definitely have to get a microSD card. You can also note a perfectly working GPS module, which, among other things, recognizes signals from Russian satellites. Everything is in order here and with the battery life. At the same time, the high battery capacity practically did not affect the weight, which also cannot but rejoice.

Advantages

Flaws

  • Permanent memory - only 8 GB;
  • No support for 3G or 4G;
  • The cost is already on the verge of the budget segment.

Archos 80b Helium

  • Operating system: Android 5.1
  • CPU: MediaTek MT8735, 4 cores, 1000 MHz
  • Display: 8 inches, IPS, 1280×800 pixels

Price: from 8,530 rubles.

A very good tablet that has collected a lot of positive reviews on the net. People like the ability to install two SIM-cards here and talk on them calmly. To access the Internet, Wi-Fi 802.11n is used here. But if this seems not enough, then the mobile operator and its LTE network will come to the rescue. A relatively good screen is also installed here - yes, it has a low resolution by modern standards, but its viewing angles do not fail. But even more surprising is the presence of light and proximity sensors - these are very rare guests in budget "tablets". The tablet may disappoint in the future because of its weight. After the purchase, you quickly realize that holding a 360-gram device in one hand is quite difficult. Therefore, this device is not recommended to buy for reading books in the subway.

Advantages

  • Availability of auxiliary sensors;
  • The presence of two slots for SIM-cards;
  • 16 GB of permanent memory;
  • Not the oldest version of Android;
  • LTE networks are supported.

Flaws

  • Decent weight;
  • Bad cameras;
  • Little RAM;
  • I would like a higher resolution display.

The gaming industry is growing at such a rapid pace that sometimes only top-end equipment suppliers are able to keep up with it. Ever-improving graphics, increasingly detailed gameplay, game physics demand maximum performance from the hardware, and rapidly gaining popularity in 3D games give new dynamics to this race of processors and memory.

Where to begin?

Before approaching the procedure for choosing a specific brand and model of a tablet, you have to decide on the main thing: for which operating system the future tablet is purchased. It is very difficult to give any advice here: everyone has their own preferences, habits and favorite games.

Serious game developers release their programs for all major operating systems at once, therefore, all other things being equal, it should be remembered that a gaming tablet running iOS will be obviously more expensive than an approximate analogue on Android. This is pretty much the only difference, and claims that the best gaming tablet should run exclusively on Android or, on the contrary, exclusively on iOS, will always be the subject of controversy.

Performance terms

Continuing the choice of a gaming tablet, it is worth understanding what requirements a modern resource-intensive game imposes on the technical part and, above all, on performance.

The performance of tablet devices consists of three components:

  • processor, its clock speed and number of cores;
  • RAM;
  • graphics accelerator, its type and amount of memory.

The presence of a powerful multi-core processor, a modern graphics accelerator and a large amount of RAM are the first important indicators of how a gaming tablet differs from a regular one. Let's talk about each position in a little more detail.

CPU.

The main characteristics are the clock frequency and the number of cores. Both criteria are extremely simple: the more of both, the better. Modern mobile processors from leading manufacturers (Apple, Intel, Qualcomm, Kirin, Samsung, Mediatek) are already built according to an eight-core scheme and operate at clock frequencies of 2.2 MHz and higher.

RAM and internal memory.

Here, too, everything is simple: memory, as they say, does not happen much. The most powerful of gaming gadgets have "on board" 4 GB of RAM and above. Do not forget about the internal memory for storing files: modern games "weigh" quite a lot, and the storage must be appropriate. The possibility of expanding it with the help of a flash drive of the largest possible volume has also not harmed anyone yet.

graphics accelerator.

From the point of view of resource consumption, the game is, first of all, graphics, so a lot depends on the capabilities of the graphics accelerator in the dispute about which gaming tablet is the most powerful. The battle of hardware manufacturers in this segment flared up no less than in the processor segment. The largest and most reputable manufacturers of graphics accelerators are the same Qualcomm with its Adreno, Imagination Technologies with PowerVR, ARM (Mali, Mitgard accelerators), Nvidia (GeForse Tegra architecture).

additional characteristics

All of the above is extremely important to determine the most productive gaming tablet, but other characteristics should not be ignored.

First of all is the display. Playing a serious game on a seven-inch tablet, albeit a very powerful one, is unpleasant both for the eyes and from the point of view of ease of control. Therefore, a diagonal of 10 '' can be considered the minimum for such needs. The screen resolution is also recommended to choose the maximum available: the quality of the graphics in the game is what developers pay special attention to. The viewing angle of the display is desirable to have approaching 180 degrees: dynamic games imply a different inclination of the device relative to the eyes.

Communication with the outside world is also an almost mandatory attribute. And if a SIM card slot is almost an unimportant thing for a player, then the presence of a high-speed wireless connection is vital, especially in online games.

Summing up, we can say: the endless debate about which is the best gaming tablet to choose is very subjective and largely depends on the preferences of a particular gamer. Choose according to our criteria - and positive emotions from computer games will be guaranteed regardless of the specific tablet manufacturer!

Cameras - one name. However, the back has a flash, and with some effort, you can take an interesting picture on the avatar in the social network.

For those who like to chat, the tablet has two slots for SIM cards. The weak point is the speaker. The sound is too frail for such a large screen diagonal. Although you can easily come to terms with this when you look at the price: for such money, devices of this level are sold very rarely.

Its big plus is a powerful battery that can work in active mode up to 8 hours. You can fully adapt the tablet for yourself - the flexibility of its settings is the widest, right down to the fonts in applications.

Tablets: 7-inch

7 inch / Support 3G/4G / Android 7.0

Main advantages

A simple but fast enough tablet with a decent 1.2 GHz quad-core processor.

A small amount of internal memory is offset by the fast performance of the optimized Android 4.4. Even games that are average in terms of resource intensity run almost without slowdowns.

The weak point is the screen. With a modest resolution of 1024x600, the viewing angle is only 120 degrees, and even less in the sun.

The main plus is that you can use it as a smartphone. The pre-installed software, unlike many competitors, is useful: it allows you to use the tablet as an e-book or mobile office.

The display may seem faded in bright light, but in normal lighting it is not bad even with its modest 1024 * 600 resolution. Wi-Fi tablet keeps excellent.
