Best Smartphone Firm. Smartphones of which company is better - choose a mobile friend

In the lineup of any manufacturer, a special place belongs to flagships - devices that combine all the best that this or that company can offer. We have compiled for you a selection of the top flagships at the beginning of 2018, which will feature the coolest and most uncompromising smartphones on the market.

New flagships of 2018

Samsung - Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

Few release in Lately made as much noise as the Galaxy S8 from the Koreans from Samsung. Everyone was waiting for this flagship, because the public understood that the company would need to present something non-standard and 100% successful in order to exonerate for the failure with the Note 7. And the expectations were justified.

S8 came in two versions - standard and Plus, they differ in screen diagonal: 5.8 and 6.2 inches, respectively, as well as in battery capacity. And it is the screen that is the main trump card of the smartphone, the "endless" SuperAMOLED display with Quad HD + resolution occupies almost the entire front of the S8, and it looks very cool.

Other characteristics also do not fail: on board the S8 there is top processor Exynos 8895, 64/4 GB of memory with support for cards up to 256 GB, 12/8 (f / 1.7) MP cameras and 3000/3500 mAh batteries (depending on modification). In terms of the combination of qualities, the S8 surpasses any other flagship on the market - this smartphone is really the best that you can buy right now.

Samsung - Galaxy S8

Lg g6

LG G6 is made in the same concept as S8, externally, these smartphones are even slightly similar. LG's flagship was presented earlier, it was he who became the first device on the market with a display ratio of 18: 9.

Until recently, Russian users, when going to buy a smartphone, as a rule, preferred the world famous models(A-brands). But recently, the trend has begun to change dramatically, and this is due to the rapid development of technologies in the first place. Thanks to this factor, smartphones are becoming almost the same, differing only in the filling and components.

If you want to buy yourself a mobile gadget, then you probably wondered which company smartphones are better. Our today's material is devoted to this topic. However, it is not easy to answer this question unequivocally, but nevertheless, now we will try to figure it out.

Looking at the infographic image, you can see that the main manufacturers are losing their positions, yielding their "familiar" places in the ratings to relatively young companies that are much closer in characteristics to eminent competitors, while significantly reducing the percentage of defects.

For instance, Micromax- the leader of the Indian digital industry deserves quite flattering ratings, especially given the rigid focus on budget models:

Good old Sony I almost gave up its tenth step, and the chest, as it turned out, just opened: only the third generation of flagships - Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact - were able to boast of perfection and balance:

ZTE... It is possible that someone will be perplexed how this dark horse was able to break into the world's top manufacturers. However, it is ZTE that is the manufacturer of smartphones for the operators Megafon, Beeline and MTS on Russian market and many different models for such Russian brands as Ikspley, Fly, Keneksi, etc .:

Lei Jun, founder Xiaomi, once said that people deserve to have first-class smartphones for great prices, and his brainchild has successfully brought the words of the master to life. The first Xiaomi smartphone appeared in 2011, and today the company's products confidently occupy a leading position:

TCL Communication... Not many people know that the oldest French company Alcatel, whose cellular devices are known all over the world, in 2004, having created a joint venture with the Chinese company TCL, in 2005 sold its share (45%) to partners from the Middle Kingdom. The Chinese, in turn, having long overtaken such giants as Sony Mobile, confidently continues to move forward:

Huawei- this brand means little to an ordinary buyer, but if we talk about a global scale, then we are talking about one of the industry leaders engaged in the design of 5G networks, the production of models mobile gadgets for ODM brands and operators. The release of phones under its own brand is only a small part of the business:

Lg dramatically strengthened its position in the market with the LG G3 model, which secured its leadership status in the segment of smartphones and mobile devices in general. Today there are all the prerequisites for consolidating success:

Lenovo... Last year, the takeover of the legendary Motorola by Lenovo, the leader of the Chinese computer industry, provided not only a powerful outlet for the brand in the United States markets, but also significantly strengthened the company's position globally:

Microsoft Mobile... Finnish Nokia, whose proprietary ringtone could be heard everywhere quite recently, also found itself absorbed, having passed into full ownership of Microsoft. Thus, a strong foundation was laid for the creation of a series of smartphones based on the Windows 10 platform. The result is the third position in the ranking largest manufacturers, was not long in coming:

Apple... Stepping on the throat of the principles of Steve Jobs, Apple relatively recently released two trendy smartphones, providing them with screens of 4.7 and 5.5 inches. Deliveries to Asian countries, together with China at the end of 2014, new items were an overwhelming success, which was due to Apple exit became the undisputed leader in sales in the fourth quarter of 2014. However, in 2015, the apple giant failed to consolidate its success, and the second line in the ranking is a clear confirmation of this:

Samsung despite the defeat in the last financial period of 2014, it still held the first position. In 2015, making up for lost time, Samsung hit competitors with a whole volley of different-sized new products. This is the flagship Galaxy S6, and the all-metal A-series, and all kinds of plastic alternatives.

The best selling models in Russia (January-March 2016)

Analysis of the Russian mobile retail market showed that in the first three months of 2016, the first three places popular models distributed in this way:

Wins the palm IPhone 5S:

And this, by the way, despite the not-so-democratic price (we found the cheapest one at a price of 21,989 rubles), the "poor" situation of citizens and other troubles today... Many factors played in favor of this choice. This is of course the name of the brand and the price for specific model, which, in fact, is not the newest, but, while remaining relevant, is not already worth exorbitant money, as it was two years earlier. In favor of this smartphone, of course, speaks excellent resolution, very good image quality and reliability.

Despite more than budget price(from 2490 rubles), the number of pluses is incomparably greater than the existing minor flaws, which, together, affects the popularity. Well, there is no need to discount the brand itself - after all, Samsung, whatever one may say, has been holding the lead in sales in the world for which year. In the model under consideration, a good combination of image quality, which is provided by a fairly big screen and good performance, provide an excellent opportunity to comfortably work with resource-intensive programs and games.

Lenovo S660 confidently placed himself on the third step of the podium in this nomination:

A very affordable price (from 7990) in combination with excellent performance and decent characteristics are two whales thanks to which the user makes a choice in favor of Lenovo when deciding to buy this smartphone. Quality cameras provide a good picture during video calls, as well as allow you to do good pictures or videos. Big screen with high resolution, sufficient volume free space, and high level productivity make it possible to perform a wide variety of tasks.

People's rating

I must say that the opinions of users on the network (and this is certainly no coincidence) largely coincides with the ratings presented, in the end, they were compiled on the basis of consumer preferences. In order not to repeat ourselves, we will not talk about which company it is better to buy a smartphone from the models already mentioned. We will add only those devices that, for some reason, were not included in the lists of the strongest, but received more than forest reviews on the Internet, and definitely deserve your attention. This:

Asus Zenfone 6... Differs in high speed of work, quite decent sound and headphones (included), comfortable proprietary shell... It is difficult to say whether the device can be classified as "the most reliable", as its owners claim, but the glass Gorilla Glass 3 and the oleophobic coating can still save the device in some situations. The smartpad proved to be excellent in games - there were no “braking” or “freezing”.

Elephone P7000 Pioneer(price from 10190 rubles.) I was glad that in addition to charging, you can find a quite decent case, spare film and protective glass in the kit. Somewhat damp software, but this flaw is easily corrected official firmware. Powerful filling and the speed of work more than justifies the stated price.

Meizu MX5 16GB(cost from 16450). A noticeable similarity with the iPhone 6 Plus is and similar design, and the presence of a fingerprint sensor, and of course the size of the display. Noteworthy is the software shell - proprietary OS Flyme 4.5 on the Android 5 platform:

ZTE V815W(price from 1490). Superbudget device, but, according to reviews, it is quite a workhorse! Yes, there is no flash, but in the end we are not buying a camera! But it works without glitches and freezes:

general information

If you have already used a smartphone and decided to take a new one, then this information will probably not be relevant to you. But if you are choosing your first "smart" phone, and wondering what smartphones there are, then it will be useful for you to know that they can be divided into four types, i.e. by the operating system used. This:

  • Apple's iPhone on own platform iOS
  • Many brands and models with OS Android
  • Windows
  • Blackberry

Each device on any of these operating systems has both its undeniable pros and cons.

Therefore, when choosing a smartphone for yourself, you must, first of all, start not from the number of functions and "bells and whistles" in the chosen device, but from your own needs, from those tasks that you are going to solve with the help of your new "mobile" friend and from the capabilities of your budget.

If the presented material helped you make your choice, we will consider our mission completed. Happy shopping, stay in touch!

TrendForce has been studying the global market for 16 years various equipment, including the market for smartphone manufacturers. According to TrendForce, 1 billion 360 million smartphones were sold in the world in 2016. The ten most popular manufacturers (accounting for 81.1% of global smartphone sales) are represented in this rating... It includes seven Chinese brands, two South Korean and one American.

10th place. ZTE. Chinese manufacturer in 2016, it concentrated 3.5% of the global smartphone market, showing slight growth compared to 2015, when it accounted for 3.4%. TrendForce predicts ZTE's share will drop to 3% in 2017.

9th place. TCL. The Chinese manufacturer, whose smartphones are not represented on the Russian market, controls 3.7% of the world market. In 2015, its share was the same, and in 2017, according to the TrendForce forecast, it will drop to 3.2%.

8th place. Lenovo. For the well-known Russians Chinese brand 2016 turned out to be unsuccessful: if in 2015 it was in 4th place in the world with a share of 5.4%, then in 2016 it dropped 4 positions down and its share accounted for only 3.7% of the world market. TrendForce forecast for 2017 is 3.8%.

7th place. Xiaomi (pronounced in Russian "Xiaomi"). Another popular brand in Russia also showed a decrease in sales compared to 2015: 3.7% of the market length versus 5.2% a year earlier. At the same time, Xiaomi dropped one position down. TrendForce forecast for 2017 is 3.8%.

6th place. LG. The South Korean manufacturer received 5.5% of the global market in 2016, showing slight growth (in 2015 it was 5.2%). At the same time, over the year, LG still dropped one position down. TrendForce forecast for 2017 is 5.5%.

5th place. Vivo. This Chinese brand is a sub-brand of the Chinese company BBK Electronics, which also makes smartphones under the Oppo and OnePlus brands. Only the OnePlus brand reached Russia, and Vivo (like Oppo) is not represented on the Russian market. Due to the rapid growth in sales in China and India, Vivo concentrated 6% of the global market share in 2016 (a year earlier it was 3.6%), moved up from the 9th place to the top five, displacing such brands as Xiaomi, Lenovo and LG. TrendForce predicts the Vivo brand for 2017 to grow further to 7.1% of the global market.

4th place. Oppo. Another subsidiary of the Chinese brand BBK Electronics. Oppo is still focused on the Chinese market and is little known outside of China. Nevertheless, the Chinese segment of the market is enough to control 7.2% of the smartphone market in the world as a whole. A year earlier it was only 3.8% and 7th place in the world. TrendForce predicts the Oppo brand for 2017 will continue to grow to 8.5% of the global market.

3rd place. Huawei. This Chinese brand, unlike the two previous ones, is well known in Russia. In 2016, Huawei achieved 9.6% of the global market share, demonstrating strong growth (in 2015 it was 8.3%) and halving the gap with the second-largest Apple. If in 2015 year Apple and Huawei shared 10% of the global market, then in 2016 only slightly more than 5%. According to TrendForce forecast, Huawei will remain in third place in 2017 with a share of 11.1%, reducing the gap with Apple to 4.5% of the global market.

2nd place. Apple. The American iPhone maker became the main anti-hero in the smartphone market in 2016. The 7th iPhone did not meet the expectations of buyers and showed weak sales, as a result, overall Apple sales fell by 11.5% over the year, their share in the world market fell from 18.2% to 15.3%. TrendForce predicts for 2017 the apple corporation will retain its second place and 15.6% of the global market, but for this Apple will have to try and release the 8th iPhone more interesting than the previous one.

1st place. Samsung. The South Korean giant remains the leader in the global smartphone market year after year. However, in 2016, his reputation turned out to be somewhat tarnished due to the scandal with the spontaneous combustion of the summer flagship Galaxy Note 7, causing Samsung to recall 3 million devices. At the same time, the success of the spring flagship Samsung Galaxy S7, which, at the end of 2016, was among the three best-selling smartphones in the world, as well as good sales the flagship of 2015 Samsung Galaxy S6 and other models of the company allowed it to remain the leader in the global smartphone market and lose three times less in sales than Apple: 3.3%. In 2016, Samsung accounted for 22.8% of the global market against 24.7% a year earlier. TrendForce forecast for 2017 is still number one in the world and 22.6% of the global market.

We figure out which smartphone is better

The smartphone market has already reached a certain level of saturation and revealed consumer preferences, so manufacturers can stand out by general background quite difficult. Some of them continue the "arms race", some companies have focused on design and ergonomics, and there are those who are trying to expand their assortment through niche solutions. To make the review as impartial as possible, manufacturers are ranked in order of decreasing sales volumes in Russia in quantitative terms.

SAMSUNG
The most popular smartphone manufacturer

The market leader also ranks first in terms of the number of families, product lines and model lines.

Promised Samsung flexible displays that we have not yet seen.

Moreover, recently the company has decided to name its smartphones in strict accordance with the principle of "Occam's razor", i.e. without multiplying the number of marks in excess of the necessary. And what is very convenient - once I figured out their positioning, and then you just navigate by years. Obviously, this joke is inapplicable to flagships, so there is only one numeric index (at the time of the article's update - 9).

Premium segment honestly share the S and Note lineups. Both families are equipped with efficient Super AMOLED displays, the disadvantages of which can be attributed only to a matrix of the Pentile type with a characteristic ladder, and powerful hardware, whose performance is even excessive today. If you can characterize the differences between these models in a few words, the Note is "sharpened" for the stylus and has a larger display.

Per average price category now the Galaxy A line is solely responsible, the main talent of which is the ability to shoot quality. And to emphasize this fact, flagship model families were equipped with four rear cameras... So to speak, for all occasions.

Well "budget", as understood by SAMSUNG. Here the letter J rules the ball, and more than one manufacturer can envy the variety of options for its "spelling". The emphasis in this line is on practicality.

APPLE
High tech trendsetter

The trendsetter in the field of high technologies and prices for the corresponding products does not need special introduction.

Apple legend - Steve Jobs.

Stylish design, user-friendly operating system self-developed, highest quality devices and, of course, a vast application store makes apple phones a kind of standard mobile devices- an object for imitation, fanatical devotion or the same radical rejection.

We will not once again inflate the holivar - which of the iPhone is the best and most successful, just note that the lifespan of most gadgets from Apple is really impressive and, at the time of updating the article, the sixth, seventh, and eighth model lines are selling quite well.

Concerning new products... The budget niche is now occupied by the iPhone Xr. And the fact that the money requested for this model is more than enough to buy the flagship of any B-brand - fans of the apple brand will always find something to justify. In fact, we are facing exactly the same middle class, which the company did not formally have before. At the same time, we did not wait for a replacement for the really affordable iPhone SE.

Among the most significant changes in the lineup of Apple in 2018, it is undoubtedly worth attributing the appearance of two-SIM iPhones. Unfortunately, domestic operators the eSIM version used in them is not supported, and all interested parties need to look for an iPhone Xr or iPhone Xs Max for the Chinese market. With regard to the possibility of expanding memory, the principal (negative) position of Apple has not gone anywhere, but the severity of this problem is gradually fading away due to the increase in availability cloud services and increasing limits on content storage. In other aspects, the changes are predominantly quantitative: faster, stronger, etc.

HUAWEI

The Chinese company HUAWEI has recently become the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, while its share continues to grow rapidly. Moreover, at the end of the 2nd quarter of 2018, it even overtook Apple and climbed to the second step of the podium. And already in the summer one of the top managers of the company said bluntly that they would undoubtedly become “number two” next year, and maybe they would also squeeze out Samsung.

Manufacturing housings Huawei.

Be that as it may, no other manufacturer has such a wide range of smartphones. On a shelf with a sign "Main flagship" the Mate line of smartphones settled - the embodiment of all the best and most advanced that Huawei could only find at the time of the development of the next generation. Below are sequentially placed flagships "simpler" - older models of the P family and the Honor sub-brand. The first takes not by the number of representatives, but by the ability to photograph. The strengths of the latter are considered to be a striking design and an attractive quality / price ratio. However, the "honors" are also filmed very worthily. It is noteworthy that the company has already used all the resources for naming inexpensive models in this line.

As middle class Huawei has the Nova family. Moreover, within the framework of its third generation, models on a variety of hardware platforms coexist peacefully within the same price limits.

On the picture model Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Budgetary the Huawei Y line is nothing outstanding - ordinary workhorses with their pros and cons.

LENOVO & MOTOROLA

Smartphones of this company have systematically won the sympathy of buyers and are no longer associated in our minds with “frank China. The more offensive is the strange "crisis of the genre" that gripped the manufacturer, and almost complete absence new models. They seem to be announced, but do not reach the windows of our stores. The closest thing to them is an interesting device based on "pure" Android, equipped with a particularly capacious battery - Motorola One Power.

In the photo, the Motorola One Power model

The fate of the former flagship Moto Z line is unclear. The former, as there are rumors that from the entire Moto family, it is planned to leave only the G series on a budget (G6) or mid-level platform (as it is supposed for the G7), and move the leader "under the shadow" Lenovo brands... Again, with a demotion. For the segment of low-cost devices, Lenovo will now be responsible for the K and S lines.

As for the high place in our rating of the best smartphone manufacturers, the current position of the Lenovo & Motorola tandem was taken by the results of the StatCounter analytical agency, according to which smartphones of these brands generate more than 5% of mobile web traffic. And what is especially interesting, the corresponding figure is only increasing every year.

XIAOMI

It is quite a "people's" brand, popular in Russia, delighting its fans not only with democratic price tags for smartphones produced, but also with excellent technical characteristics of the devices themselves.

Photo: presentation of 2017 models in Moscow

Moreover, as a rule, they are based on a modern component base, and not outdated solutions. Research results from reputable think tanks such as IDC, Gartner and Counterpoint Research indicate that Xiaomi is now the fastest growing global brand. As for smartphones, last year the company almost doubled the volume of their shipments, and at the same time its market share.

Pictured: new Xiaomi factory in India

It should also be noted that the overall quality of the products of this brand has been steadily improving, although this statement does not yet apply to the accompanying software. Including at the level flagships companies. But in terms of innovation, the latter can even serve as an example to follow. In particular, the Mi8 with its dual-frequency GPS system The Mi Mix 3 has a practical slider design and Black shark convenient wireless gamepad... If you arrange the model lines of the brand in descending order of "steepness", you get the following chain: Mi MIX - Mi - Mi Note - Mi A - Redmi note- Redmi S - Redmi. Formally, to middle class only devices from the Mi Note line belong, but here it should be borne in mind that more than pleasant price tags pretty much interfere with the correct positioning of Xiaomi products. For example, the Pocophone F1 model with its flagship filling also falls into this value category.

At the moment, the most significant complaint about the smartphones of the Chinese company is the stubborn reluctance of developers to equip their inexpensive devices with NFC modules.

BBK Electronics

This is perhaps the most difficult case in our roundup of the best smartphone manufacturers. Few associate the brands OnePlus, OPPO or VIVO with the manufacturer of the most popular DVD players in the vastness of the former USSR (in the recent past), although this is precisely the reality. Of course, brand fans may have their own opinion, but OPPO is a "daughter" of BBK and, at the same time, an unspoken parent company for OnePlus - so from a formal point of view, everything is correct.

If those players were primarily focused on our market, then the brand OPPO created specifically for the American. Smartphones of this brand are successful (in general, they occupy the 4th place in the world in terms of sales), but they are extremely poorly represented in our stores. The brand's products are distinguished by high-quality performance, the presence of unique "chips" and a fairly high cost. Actual models not much.

In principle, until recently, it was possible to describe smartphones with similar phrases. VIVO, with the only difference that they were initially targeted at the Asian market. Now appetites have grown (still, the fifth place in sales) and the company is already well represented in our retail. It is probably worth noting that this brand was the first to implement the idea with a fingerprint scanner built right into the smartphone display. VIVO's line-up is simple: the Y series is responsible for relatively low-end models, X for especially thin ones, Xplay for productive ones, Xshot for camera phones and V for the middle class. Not without variations, but somewhere like that.

In the photo: VIVO Nex model with a retractable camera and a fingerprint scanner built into the display

Oneplus in general, it can be considered the brand of the only model represented by several generations. These smartphones are more often than others called flagship killers, in view of their excellent technical characteristics, stylish design and the price tags are more modest. True, the latest version of OnePlus cannot be called inexpensive, with all the desire.

Lg

Back in 2014, the South Korean company developed and released 41 models of smartphones. In 2018, two fingers are enough to count her new products. And if you believe the words of vice chairman of LG, said at the last CES, they now plan to update their range only as needed.

Photo: presentation of the updated model LG K8 at CES 2018

This primarily concerns flagship lines V and G. It is noteworthy that the company stopped looking for its own path in terms of design and construction and joined in the replication of other people's ideas, including the notorious screen cutout and an increase in the number of cameras. Of their developments, the audiophile remained intact sound path and a high level of security for smartphones. Per middle class LG has models of the Q series, but only the eldest of them, the "eighth", fully corresponds to this positioning. From budgetary smartphones brand greatest interest present devices with capacious batteries of the X Power family.

NOKIA

The past merits and aggressive marketing policy of the new owner still attract a lot of attention to this brand. Its place in our roundup of the best smartphone manufacturers came from 2% of the world's web traffic, as well as almost four and a half million smartphones sold in 2017. In the latter indicator, the Nokia brand has overtaken the achievements of Sony and Asus. In addition, the brand became the leader in the number of nominations received for MWC 2018.

Photo: Nokia presentation at MWC 2018

At the same time, it must be admitted that the current Nokia does not stand out for anything particularly attractive. Perhaps the whole point is that we never saw the super-flagship promised a year ago. In the meantime, this role has to be played by the far from perfect Nokia 8 Sirocco. Understanding the positioning of devices of a well-known brand is as easy as shelling pears - the older the number after the name, the cooler the smartphone. And in order not to produce those very redundant entities, the manufacturer made an elegant decision - the decimal index denotes the next generation of the model.

This is how the camera part of the Nokia 9 prototype looks like

SONY

Despite the vast model Xperia series, SONY's market share has been steadily declining. The company is looking for different ways to win back its customers, including through the fantastic characteristics of the new smartphones.

Fire and copper pipes remained.

At least her last budget line L1 did not gain much popularity among users, as well as middle class represented by the XA family. We would venture to suggest that SONY will follow the example of some other brands and focus solely on solutions top-level and production of components. Whatever you say, SONY optical image sensors are a kind of quality standard.

The only strange thing is that the "Japanese" themselves have not yet been able to realize their own potential advantages. Continuity of traditions is wonderful. A kind of angular design - okay, let it be a "chip" of the brand. What is the reason for preventing the installation in SONY smartphones more capacious rechargeable batteries? This is practically half of the "negative", and it was voiced a long time ago.

Model in the photo SONY Xperia XZ3

Htc

Another former leader with unclear prospects. HTC has even said it plans to focus its efforts on less smartphone-related businesses. True, then the talk was already about leaving only the model market. entry level, and at the beginning of 2018, the manufacturer made an attempt to reanimate its budget line Desire.

HTC is assembled here.

On the other hand, many analysts again noted a clear discrepancy between the manufacturer's price requests and the real technical characteristics of these smartphones. The flagships remain, and everything is not so gloomy here. Moreover, if earlier the camera was traditionally HTC's weak point, now the U12 + model occupies one of the top lines in the ranking of the authoritative resource DxOMark. An additional feature of the company's flagships is still the Edge Sense technology, which has been updated to the second generation. But replacing the mechanical side buttons with touch-sensitive ones will not appeal to everyone.

ASUS

If until relatively recently the company was content with the role of the manufacturer mainly inexpensive smartphones for undemanding users, its latest proposals are able to interest even sophisticated "users".

Photo: presentation of the ZenFone 5 line at CES 2018

Continuing to develop the core ZenFone line, which won one of the most prestigious design awards in 2014, ASUS decided to expand its Republic Of Gamers family to include mobile devices... The result of the efforts of the developers was a very interesting ROG Phone, running on an overclocked Snapdragon 845, equipped with a cooling system with a vapor chamber and boasting cool game accessories... As for the "regular" models, it is worth noting the relatively successful attempts of ASUS to gain a foothold in all significant segments. Generally speaking, the main complaints of asusphone owners are the quality of the accompanying software.

GOOGLE

In fact, the first five Nexuses were full copies certain smartphones different manufacturers, which were simply released in parallel to the originals, but already under the Google brand.

Google Pixel 3 presentation

Starting with the Nexus 6, there were no more "twins", and the company's products acquired their own individuality. It must be assumed that the abandonment of the "old" brand and the launch of the Pixel family were intended to rehabilitate Google as much as possible in every sense, and the recent acquisition of HTC's research unit - to give weight as a serious figure in the smartphone market. Actually, this Taiwanese company helped in the development of the first generation of "pixels", and also produces them at its own facilities.

It is noteworthy that the Nexus One is also the work of HTC. The position obliges, therefore, it is even indecent for the main ideologist of the most massive mobile operating system to release unusable smartphones.

Nevertheless, the company unpleasantly surprised everyone with the third generation Pixel. You might even think that Google's designers had a task to set the record for the disciplines "largest monobrow" and "widest scope 2018" (for the XL version and the base model, respectively). But new smartphones have learned to shoot even better and manage with a single sensor.

Pictured is a Google Pixel 3 XL

MEIZU

The company started out as a manufacturer of interesting and quite original music players, but its first smartphone (M8) imitated APPLE products to such an extent that the latter even looked for legal ways to completely ban the sale of this model. Actually, certain features of iPhones still slip through, if not in the guise of the devices of the Chinese brand, then in their Flame shell. However, many other smartphone makers are guilty of the same.

Photo: meizu-m8.ru

Opening of the next MEIZU brand store

In the past, MEIZU has released some really cool devices, but recently it has not better times... Its smartphones surpassed most competitors in terms of design and convenience, although in terms of capabilities, the fillings could be noticeably inferior to them. Fortunately for fans of the brand, the company was able to collect and release excellent model, and in every sense. So far, this is only a flagship, but who knows ...

Which smartphone is better?

A very difficult time for manufacturers, who are forced to look for new ideas in the face of fierce competition and price pressure from numerous little-known companies, turns out to be an excellent opportunity for users to choose their own, the best version of a smartphone. Each smartphone manufacturer has its own strengths and weaknesses. Productive filling, the highest image detail, stylish design, convenient software shell - everyone decides for himself what is more important to him. The best part about this situation is that there is such a choice.
