Chinese smartphone brands. Rating of the best Chinese smartphones in terms of price-quality ratio

The range of Chinese smartphones today is very large and it is very difficult to choose the best ones in terms of price-quality ratio among the many models. In this article, I want to rank the most popular Chinese smartphones for 2016-2017. In this TOP 10, I tried to include smartphones of different price categories. Let's start the review in descending order of price - from expensive to cheap. Go!

The intrigue before the release of this phone was no less than before the release of the iPhone 7. It is equipped with a rounded 2.5D screen with a diagonal of 5.2 inches and a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, which is not only resistant to shock, but also does not leave fingerprints. The device has a reliable case, a 10-core processor - MediaTek Helio X25 (MT6797T) with a frequency of 2.5 GHz and 4 GB of RAM. The camera in this flagship also "didn't let us down", and its resolution is 21 megapixels, it has phase and laser auto-focuses; and the front one is 5 MP, which is great for selfies. The battery of the model, with the function of fast charging, has a capacity of 2560 mAh.

This flagship smartphone is equipped with an 8-core processor - HiSilicon Kirin 955, whose frequency is 2.5 GHz, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory; a 3000 mAh battery, as well as a 12 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. The manufacturer indicates that the phone is equipped with three external antennas, so the signal quality will be good. The case is all-metal, there are no complaints about the assembly. The 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels is very convenient to use. As expected from Chinese smartphones, this gadget can install two SIM-cards.

The design of the smartphone is not particularly expressive, but it cannot be called unsuccessful. Subjectively, this is just another Chinese flagship killer. The body of the flagship is assembled tightly and neatly, in terms of accuracy and speed of response of sensors - there is nothing to complain about either. The screen of the phone is a 5.7-inch panel with a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels. The main camera module has a 21 MP sensor, which is capable of taking very accurate and high-quality photos. The front module has an 8-megapixel matrix. The gadget has a powerful 4-core processor - Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 MSM8996 with a frequency of 2.15 GHz. Its memory is 4 GB, expandable up to 32 GB. The battery, with the function of fast charging, has a capacity of 3100 mAh. And if you do not know what to buy for a gift to a loved one, then this is a very good option.

The price-quality ratio of this phone is quite decent. This smartphone has a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 by 1440, it is very compact and this is its big plus. The back of the gadget is made of glass, on which fingerprints remain, but this is not critical. The battery in it is 3500 mAh with a fast charging function and the model can last a whole working day, or even two, with an average load. Processor - Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 MSM8996 has 4 cores, the frequency of each is 2150 MHz. It has a 13 MP camera that takes good pictures without any noise, the 8 MP front camera does a good job too. The amount of RAM is 4 GB, which can be increased up to 32 GB.

Let's take a closer look at its characteristics: it has a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, it fits very comfortably in the hand. Namely - a 10-core processor - Helio X20 with a frequency of up to 2.1 GHz, its memory in it is 4 GB, expandable up to 32 GB. The resolution of the main camera is 13 megapixels, and the front camera is 5 megapixels, which can record video in Full HD resolution. The battery of the model has a capacity of 4100 mAh.

The main feature of this model is its appearance. The developers tried to please the weak half of humanity - girls and women. The smartphone looks cool, much more expensive than its cost. The display is 5 inches with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, comfortable enough to use. Inside is 3 GB of RAM, which is very good for this class of devices. The model runs on a 4-core processor - MediaTek MT6735, the frequency of each core is 1.3 GHz. He excels at all tasks. The main camera with an 8-megapixel sensor is equipped with auto-focus and LED flash. The battery capacity is 2400 mAh, so the gadget can work all day with an average load.

The smartphone of this company was introduced at the beginning of 2016, but the model hit the shelves only now. Let's briefly go over the characteristics of this smartphone: a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, a Media Tek processor, 8 cores, 4 of them operate at a clock frequency of 1.8 GHz and 4 additional ones operate at a frequency of 1 GHz. The device has 2 GB of RAM "on board" and built-in 16 GB of memory. The smartphone has become a little thinner, so I had to sacrifice the battery capacity, now it is 3260 mAh, but it will also work. The main camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels, and the front camera is 5 megapixels, the video is recorded in Full HD mode on both cameras. The battery capacity of the phone is 3260 mAh.

The back cover of this beautiful gadget is made of plastic, which is pleasant to the touch and looks like metal. The main camera has a sensor, the resolution of which is 13 megapixels, and is equipped with a flash, the front camera is 5 megapixels, nothing special. Screen 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels. As for the hardware platform, it has an 8-core processor - MediaTek MT6753 with a maximum frequency of 1.3 GHz. RAM - 3 GB plus there is a slot for a microSD card. The battery is good, its capacity is 6250 mAh.

For quite some time now, most of us have not seen much difference between smartphones made in China and those made in Korea or Japan. The high-quality products of the Chinese giants of the mobile communications industry are confidently gaining global popularity, displacing competitors with their inexpensive and high-tech products. Given the unprecedented interest in gadgets from the Middle Kingdom, the readers are presented with a rating of the best Chinese smartphones in 2018 in different price categories, which have an optimal price-quality ratio.

OnePlus 5T

In second place in the ranking is the older brother of the previous model - OnePlus 5T. Its main difference from OnePlus 5 is its large size and display format: here the screen has a diagonal of 6.01 inches and a resolution of 2160 × 1080 pixels with an aspect ratio of 18:9, thanks to which the gadget does not feel bulky. The basis of the electronic content of this phone is the same processor - Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998, thanks to which there are no problems with performance under any load. The multimedia part of the device is similar to the contents of the younger model - the same dual photo module of cameras with a resolution of 16 and 20 megapixels and an excellent selfie camera. The battery, despite the enlarged screen, remained the same capacity - at 3300 mAh. OnePlus 5T has a face unlock feature and will be a great choice for fans of top-end phablets.

Today we choose the best Chinese smartphone of 2016. Despite the fact that only six months have passed, the top five have already clearly decided.

We note right away that for comparison we take devices with top technical characteristics that can compete with the Samsung Galaxy S7 itself, but the price difference can be quite large.

After all, this is China, where you can buy a smartphone with flagship parameters for some 200-300 dollars. However, if you pay another 100-200 dollars on top - and you can get something completely technically advanced.

Another selection criterion is that the smartphone manufacturer must be a purely Chinese company, no Hong Kong, let alone Taiwan.

So let's get started!

Place number 5. Meizu Pro 6: the most balanced

We have already written about this device in due time, but it will not be out of place to repeat. After last year's very successful Meizu Pro 5, fans expected the new Pro 6 to be an absolute "flagship killer", but the manufacturer went a completely different way.

Of course, Meizu Pro 6 is a flagship-level device, but the bet was made on the perfect combination of price and features. It should be noted that Meizu almost succeeded. "Almost" is that very soon other manufacturers introduced similar devices. However, the Pro 6 won the greatest success among them.

From a technical point of view, Meizu Pro 6 is very close to ideal: a ten-core Helio X25 processor, a Mali-T880 graphics accelerator (like the Galaxy S7 based on Exynos 8890), 4 Gb of RAM and 32/64 Gb of internal flash memory, an excellent 21.16 Mp camera (6-lens lens with optical image stabilization, f/2.2 aperture, laser and PDAF autofocus, 10-element circular flash), USB Type-C.

However, the device also has its drawbacks. The screen of Meizu Pro 6 is inferior even to last year's flagship Pro 5: only FullHD 1920 × 1080 with a diagonal of 5.2 inches. The battery is also rather weak - only 2560 mAh.

And the main drawback at the present time is the lack of a microSD slot. Almost all smartphone manufacturers that inadvertently denied users the possibility of expanding memory last year have corrected their mistakes this year. But this does not apply to Meizu Pro 6.

The cost of the smartphone is about 400 US dollars, and for this it is not at all necessary to order it from China. For example, in the popular and reliable Pleer.ru online store, you can buy Meizu Pro 6 for only 27,199 rubles. And at the same time, you don’t have to wait for the device to come from China.

Place number 4. OnePlus 3: potential leader

The Chinese company OnePlus this year introduced its flagship later than all the others, however, in terms of its characteristics, the new “troika” is not inferior to branded flagships, and indeed is “packed” with the latest technology. What are only 6 Gb of RAM worth!

And the rest of the characteristics of OnePlus 3 are “on the level”: Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset, 64 Gb built-in storage, support for various versions of 4G LTE with a reserve for the future, USB Type-C, NFC, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The main camera has a resolution of 16 MP, f / 2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilization and dual LED flash. Selfie lovers will definitely like the front camera of the novelty: 8 MP resolution, f / 2.0 aperture, a 1 / 3.2 ″ sensor that is quite large for a secondary camera, and a pixel size of 1.4 µm.

OnePlus 3 also has its downsides. Like Meizu Pro 6, it lacks a microSD slot and has a FullHD screen (generally, this is typical for Chinese flagships). However, OnePlus has not stinted on the durable Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protective glass.

In general, OnePlus, of course, is not the best Chinese smartphone of 2016, but it is definitely worth taking a closer look at it.

Unlike Meizu Pro 6, which has been on the Russian market for more than a month, OnePlus 3 is still better to order from China - it is still very rare in Russia, and where it is, they break an unrealistic price for it (from 39,000 rubles).

Place number 3. LeEco (LeTV) Le 2 Pro: the cheapest flagship

This smartphone can rightfully bear the title of the cheapest flagship. Because at $229 (that's how much you can order with free shipping from China), it offers more features than no other smartphone offers. Even Chinese.

The exception is, perhaps, Vernee Apollo Lite, but the latter has been released so far in a rather limited edition and is not so easy to buy (but you can try), and it has a weaker processor (Helio X20).

However, back to LeEco (LeTV) Le 2 Pro. The processor here is the same (Helio X25) as the Meizu Pro 6 we wrote about at the beginning: 10 cores and ARM Mali-T880 graphics.

The amount of RAM is 4 Gb, the built-in flash memory is 32 Gb. Unfortunately, there is no slot for a memory card, but there is support for 4G LTE, which will allow you to quickly send your data to the cloud or download it from there.

The main camera is no worse than that of Meizu Pro 6: 21 Mp resolution, f/2.0 aperture (even better), double flash, a fairly large 1/2.4″ sensor.

Le 2 Pro pleasantly stands out from the rest of the Chinese "mainstream" with a thin metal case. For the sake of it, the manufacturer even abandoned the standard 3.5 mm headset jack.

However, you should not worry about its absence: the smartphone comes with an adapter that allows you to connect headphones or a headset directly to the USB Type-C connector. Moreover, the quality of audio playback in this case will be even higher.

Despite the rather thin body (only 7.5 mm), LeEco equipped the Le 2 Pro with a fairly capacious 3000 mAh battery.

Place number 2. Huawei P9 Plus: the most technically advanced

If we talk about the most technically advanced Chinese smartphone, then this is definitely Huawei P9 Plus! I want to write a lot about him at once, but we will try to do it in order.

Unlike other manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom, Huawei fundamentally uses processors of its own design. So the Huawei P9 Plus is based on the HiSilicon Kirin 955 “stone”. This “octa-core” runs at up to 2.5 GHz and has a powerful Mali-T880 MP4 graphics core.

As for the rest of the hardware, Huawei P9 Plus is also fine here: 4 Gb of RAM, 64 Gb of internal flash memory, the ability to install a MicroSD memory card up to 256 GB, NFC, an infrared port for controlling household appliances, USB Type-C , a very capacious 3400 mAh battery and support for two SIM-cards.

But the main feature of Huawei P9 Plus is the presence of a dual camera with lenses from the legendary Leica! Pictures from two sensors are taken simultaneously, then the image processor analyzes them and forms the final high-quality image.

Thanks to this, the Huawei P9 Plus shoots in low light conditions, perhaps even better than the Samsung Galaxy S7. At the same time, the noise level is noticeably lower.

Also new from Huawei allows you to take HDR pictures for fast moving objects, which for other smartphones is an almost impossible task even in bright light.

In general, if a smartphone can be a photographer's dream, then its real embodiment is the Huawei P9 Plus! Yes, it is very expensive (from 45,000 rubles), but even among the "brands" it is almost impossible to find something like that.

Place number 1. Xiaomi Mi5: the best Chinese smartphone of 2016

Xiaomi Mi5, which was introduced almost simultaneously with the Samsung Galaxy S7, is without a doubt the most successful Chinese smartphone of 2016. What are the sales of this device alone worth!

In this article, I will tell you about the pros and cons of buying a Chinese phone, as well as the best Chinese smartphones of 2016-2017. Chinese smartphones have excellent performance at a fairly low cost. In terms of their functions, they may well compete with flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7, while the cost is at least several times lower. I suggest you make a review of the best Chinese smartphones that you can buy this year.

You've probably already heard of brands such as Huawei, ZTE, and Lenovo. Xiaomi is gaining international popularity, although in China there are already more of their smartphones than Apple and Samsung combined. But the problem with many Chinese phones is that they are not always available for purchase outside of China. To buy a Chinese phone, you must order it directly from China, or buy it from sellers on the gray market. In the second case, you will pay much more due to cheating, but you will receive the same phone as with a direct order from China. I advise you to order a smartphone directly by choosing a trusted store from China. In this article, you will find a number of links where you can order smartphones from China with free shipping directly to your home.

So, what are the main advantages of Chinese smartphones? This is the price / quality ratio, excellent performance, the Dual-Sim function (two SIM cards), the opportunity to buy an exclusive phone. Most of the best Chinese phones have two SIM card slots. 4G communication is supported even in the most inexpensive versions, where most often only one slot will work in this mode. Some manufacturers still use a standard SIM slot instead of the now common Micro-SIM. This problem can be solved by ordering a card adapter for approximately $1. Be sure to check in the specifications whether the phone will work with the frequencies of your mobile network. In Chinese smartphones, the eight-core MediaTek processor is the most common. All eight cores run at the same frequency, without splitting for performance and energy conservation. Most often, the smartphone is equipped with 2-3 gigabytes of RAM, 16GB internal memory and support for microSD cards (32-64GB cards are supported). As for the camera, the main camera most often uses a 13Mp f/2.2 Sony sensor, with a 5Mp selfie camera on the front. The camera functionality is not inferior to most popular Android smartphones. All devices support HD, or full-HD and are equipped with a display from 5 to 5.5 inches. Most often, this is a good quality IPS display protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

Smartphone OnePlus 3

OnePlus 3 is a popular high-end smartphone that is sold all over the world. Many do not even suspect that it is produced by a Chinese company. This smartphone is one of the most expensive on the list. But given the design, performance, and quality of the OnePlus 3, it's clear that the price is worth it. In many ways, the OnePlus 3 outperforms the flagship Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7. The performance of the OnePlus 3 smartphone is the most impressive, with a Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and 6 GB of RAM. Based on the AnTuTu benchmark, this phone will outperform any competitor with a score of 140,573. This is one of the most powerful Chinese smartphones with top performance. The minimalist design is somewhat reminiscent of the Galaxy S7, and while the display isn't quite as good here, the build quality and excellent camera do the trick. You can order OnePlus3 right now, with free shipping worldwide.

Xiaomi Mi 5

The flagship smartphone of Xiaomi with the Android system is in no way inferior to more expensive competitors from famous manufacturers. Users have a wide field of customization and numerous settings for maximum ease of use. The stylish design of Xiaomi Mi 5 is supported by high performance and good battery capacity. Xiaomi made a splash at MWC 2016 with the introduction of its flagship Mi 5 series. These long-awaited devices have already been officially launched in the markets of India and China, but the company intends to expand its horizons and enter the global world markets. The regular version of Mi 5 is equipped with 3D glass on the back, 32 GB or 64 GB of internal memory and 3 GB of RAM. The Pro version comes with a ceramic body, 128 GB of internal memory and 4 GB of RAM. Both phones are equipped with a Snapdragon 820 processor and a 4-axis optical stabilization system. But the main advantage of the phone is its low cost. You can order Xiaomi Mi5 right now with a 60% discount and free shipping to any country in the world.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro is another great Chinese smartphone that offers maximum performance for just $140 (50% off). This device allows the user to carry out deep customization of all parameters and make the phone really convenient for personal use.

OnePlus 3 phone

OnePlus 3 price: $400

The OnePlus 3 is the first OnePlus phone that can truly feel complete: Gone are those experimental models, gone is the extremely annoying prompt system, and replaced everything with a new, wonderful phone that's well built.

The OnePlus 3 may not have any special features that make it unique, but it has all the same specs that $800 phones have for half the price.

Powered by a top Snapdragon 820 chip with a whopping 6GB of RAM, the OnePlus 3 is fast and has a well-functioning camera. It's hard to find a reason not to recommend it for the price, it's one of the best Chinese phones of 2016.

Huawei P9 price: $550

Huawei had phenomenal growth last year, becoming the world's third-largest phone maker, leaving giants like Samsung and Apple behind.

Huawei P9 was the company's top smartphone in 2016, bringing flagship specifications and innovative dual rear cameras. The device received a metal design and great features.

But there are a couple of features: first of all, the Huawei user interface on top of Android, which is difficult for many to get used to. Then the camera has Leica lenses (no doubt Leica had a lot of input on the lenses) with modeling and a super wide aperture, F/1.1, but in reality it's a gimmick and the Huawei P9's camera is worse than the best camera phones this year.

However, if you are looking for the best Chinese smartphone of 2016 - regular size, then P9 offers the performance and good looks to meet all your requirements.

The Chinese phone Huawei P9 is also more affordable than Samsung and Apple, which is why it is on the list of Best Chinese Smartphones 2016.

ZTE is seriously thinking about entering the markets of the world, and this year the company introduced not one, but two best phones: the 5.5" ZTE Axon 7 and its slightly smaller sibling, the 5.2" Axon 7 Mini.

You can already buy the larger model for $400, a good price given the powerful specs of a Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the smaller ZTE Axon 7 Mini with the same specs costs just $300.

There is one important thing to consider when it comes to buying a ZTE Axon 7 or ZTE Axon 7 Mini: the Android skin that is used on both models is very different from most others and takes some getting used to.

The camera performance is slightly lower than the OnePlus 3, but still not bad compared to other smartphones.

The great feature of ZTE Axon 7 and ZTE Axon 7 Mini is the dual front speakers that produce clear and loud sound, great for YouTube and Facebook video addicts as well as those who listen to music through the speakers.
