Cal of duty system requirements. System requirements of Call of Duty on PC

The addictive game Call of Duty: WWII takes us to the times of the Second World War. Stunning graphics and exciting missions will enable users to take a fresh look at the events of those years (). In this article, I will tell you what requirements your operating system must meet in order to ensure the correct installation and normal functionality of the game. Before proceeding with the review, let's divide the system requirements of Call of Duty: WWII into minimum and recommended.

Often users are faced with the fact that the Call of Duty game “does not work” on a computer. Whatever you try to play, you first need to clarify the system requirements, because:

  • many games that were popular in the past are no longer supported by modern operating systems, so if you wish, install another system specifically for them;
  • although the capabilities of processors and video cards are regularly improved, the system requirements of PC games, in particular Call of Duty: WWII, increase much faster, and with low power the graphics will “limp”, which, of course, will not make the game attractive;
  • if there is not enough RAM, then there will be constant interruptions in the game and you will have to install at least another 16Gb of RAM;
  • hard disk space will not even allow you to start installing the game, and in order to solve this problem, you will need to install another disk (from 4 Tb), and for some games it is advisable to purchase not an HDD, but an SSD, since maps load much faster on it.

Call of Duty: World War II minimum system requirements

In order for Call of Duty: WWII to function properly on your computer, the system installed on it and other parameters must match the following values:

  • processor - AMD A10-7800 3.5 GHz, Intel QuadCore or Core i5-250 3.3 GHz;
  • operating system - Windows 7 x64;
  • video card - AMD Radeon R7 350 2 Gb, nVidia GTX 770 2 Gb, DirectX 10;
  • RAM - 8 Gb;
  • disk space - 76 Gb.

If your OS meets only the minimum system requirements, then you will not be able to fully enjoy Call of Duty: WWII graphics. Since the number of characters and frames per second will decrease due to a weak processor, artificial intelligence and NPCs will “slow down” and other problems will arise. Therefore, the following recommended system requirements apply to the operating system:

  • processor - AMD FX-6300 Six-Core, Intel Core i7-4790 3.60 GHz;
  • operating system - Windows 7 x64 and above;
  • video card - AMD RX 460 (4 Gb 128 BIT), nVidia GTX 1060 (3 Gb 256 BIT), DirectX 12;
  • RAM - 16 Gb;
  • disk space - 76 Gb.

How to find out the capabilities of your PC?

To find out if your OS meets the Call of Duty: WWII system requirements, run AIDA64 Extreme on your computer. In the menu on the left, open the "Computer" tab and select "Summary Information". Here you will see all the data about your PC.

If you do not want to install additional software or do not have time, you can use the standard features of Windows. Enter dxdiag on the command line and after collecting the information, such a window will open in front of you.

Standard DirectX Diagnostic Tool

Review all the information collected and analyze if your OS meets at least the minimum requirements of Call of Duty: WWII, and only then take further actions - install the game or improve the system.

Voiceover of the game

For voice acting, subtitles and interface, you can choose one of the following languages:

  • Russian;
  • Italian;
  • French;
  • Deutsch;
  • English.

What awaits you after installing Call of Duty: WWII?

The developers from Sledgehammer Games tried not only to match the scenario that their predecessors followed, but also to convey the spirit of the Second World War, understand and reproduce it more realistically and deeply. For example, the landing in Normandy. Where she just did not play out - in films, games. But what sets her apart in Call of Duty: WWII is her attention to detail.

A thorough study was carried out, the result of which was the correct display of not only military operations, but also the experience of their conduct. The clarity of the animation, as conceived by the developers, should leave the player after

Going back to its origins World War II. CoD: WW2 will take us to European theater of operations.

Single player campaign

We will play, of course, for American infantryman abandoned in Europe. We are waiting Norman operation "Overlord"(1944) and also Ardennes operation(1944-1945, Battle of the Bulge) and a long way from a greenhorn to a veteran.

We will have to go through some missions for other characters, for example, for a girl from the French resistance.

But for the developers at Sledgehammer Games, returning to the roots of Call of Duty is about more than just living up to the script and scenes of its predecessors — it means understanding and recreating World War II in a deeper and deeper way. realistic level.

"The single player campaign is more focused on soldier story than the cacophony of war."

Landing in Normandy

The journalists were able to visit Sledgehammer's office, where they saw parts of two single-player missions, one of which was invasion of Normandy. This is an iconic moment in the war and has been recreated many times in video games. It is no different from the scenarios of the Normandy operation in games and films, but what stands out is details.

The heads of the animation, art, sound and narrative departments all said the same thing: they did extensive research to properly portray not only the war, but the experience of being there.

Battle in Hurtgen Forest

A series of fierce battles between American and German troops during World War II, which became the most long battle on German soil and the longest in US military history.

As in the Normandy mission, our hero, a soldier of the 1st Infantry Division, clumsily moves through uneven terrain under the weight of weapons and supplies; Loud volleys of German artillery are heard everywhere.

Chris Stone also talked about the team's focus on sharp animation. So that players who have finished playing are left with pleasant sensations, experiencing something completely new: the realism and tragedy of that period.

Headquarters

At the moment, it is known that headquarters will appear in the multiplayer mode - peaceful locations, where players can easily chat, find friends to fight, etc.

Character Development

The leveling of the hero is based on the system Create a Class from , i.e. when the player himself selects a weapon to his taste, and also pumps the skills and abilities he needs, depending on his preferences.

Game modes

Will be added new War mode, in which players will participate in full-scale historical battles, where each side of the conflict pursues its own goals. Those. allies must break through the Nazi defenses, and those, in turn, defend your positions and destroy the landing. Everything is very reminiscent, only in another war.

zombie mod

The game will zombie mode with and separate mini plot within the framework of World War II, where we have to shoot zombie Nazis.

Multiplayer

The game, of course, will have a multiplayer mode, the video of which can be seen in the gameplay video.

Call of Duty: WW2 release date

Call of Duty: Ghosts is the 10th entry in the popular military shooter series. The game was developed jointly by Infinity Ward, Raven Software and Neversoft. It was published by Activision on November 5, 2013 for PC, old and new generation consoles. Below we will provide an overview, as well as tell you what Call of Duty: Ghost system requirements, problems with the game and how to solve them.

Single review

The Call of Duty series has been delighting arcade shooter fans for over 10 years, generating billions in revenue for the publisher. After the successful MW 2, the developers stopped adding anything radically new in order to refresh the gameplay. Finally, Infinity Ward decided to correct this situation by moving away from the theme of modern war (in 2012, the same experiment was very successfully carried out by Treyarch studio, releasing BO 2), creating Call of Duty: Ghosts, throwing the player into the near future. This time we were given the opportunity to run around the lands of the post-apocalyptic USA, destroyed by orbital explosions, visit the colorful tropical seas and visit space. Everything is quite grandiose, but after 2-3 hours the exciting surroundings completely disappear, because the tasks quietly slip into boring skirmishes, drawn-out dialogues and annoying scripts. The plot in "Ghosts" is present, but it exists only for one purpose - in order to logically move from one attraction to another. In general, with the passage of each new mission, the game becomes more and more dull. Nevertheless, chic directing, a variety of locations, tasks with the dog Riley (of which, unfortunately, there are only 2) draw out the Call of Duty: Ghosts campaign.

Cooperative overview

Aliens with the "Survival" mode have come to the Call of Duty series. As you know, Treyarch has its own chip with zombies, which is why Infinity Ward did not want to lag behind, creating a fresh co-op mode. Its essence is quite simple: we reached one point => repulsed the attack => ran to another => repeated. The location is modeled correctly, and there are even more elements of tactics than in the same zombies. All in all, it's fun to play. Unfortunately, at launch, players were only given 1 card (+4 available with DLC), which is very unfortunate. But special operations were not delivered, which is rather strange. Infinity Ward created them so skillfully in previous parts of MW that their absence in Ghosts is completely incomprehensible.

Multiplayer Overview

As for the multiplayer, unlike the previous parts, it has progressed. All prestiges have sunk into oblivion, and they have been replaced by fighters with their own classes and levels. Plus, the developers have added customization, in which a special place is occupied by the presence of female characters. Class creation returned to a more classic look. In Ghosts, as before, there is a separate permanent place for the main and secondary weapons, grenades and modules. There are 8 slots for perks, with 35 different skills. Maps have slightly increased in size (as for the CoD series), among which there was a place for interactive locations. We have already seen something similar in Black Ops 2. Let's finish our review with a fly in the ointment in the PC version of the game. The fact is that the system requirements for Call of Duty: Ghost are so high that all sorts of bugs and friezes appear even on top-end machines. Of course, no questions would have arisen if the game had pleased with incredibly beautiful graphics, realistic physics and great sound, but the engine remained the same, and the picture did not go too far from Modern Warfare 2 2009 release. This is very frustrating. Reviewing all of the above: Call of Duty: Ghosts deserves only 6/10.

Problems and ways to fix them

PC users are quite often plagued by various kinds of errors, many of which are due to terrible optimization. Above, we have already said that Call of Duty: Ghost has extremely high system requirements on the PC. In principle, there are many ways to help debug Ghosts to perfection. Let's start looking at errors.

  1. It throws the error "Your system memory (RAM) does not meet minmum specification". The game requires 6 GB of RAM, so buying additional RAM slots will fix this problem. In principle, the system requirements for Call of Duty: Ghost are quite high, which is why you will have to upgrade the system. If you do not want to fork out for the purchase of "RAM", then use RAMfix.
  2. Freezes and bugs are everywhere. This problem is fixed by traditional methods: reinstalling the drivers for the video card, sound card, updating Microsoft Visual C ++, DirectX, updating the game to the latest patch, or completely reinstalling it.
  3. Shadow problems. As a rule, the problem occurs on some video cards that are poorly adapted for the game. The solution to the problem may be to update the drivers or disable shadows in the graphics settings.
  4. The sound disappears. Reinstall DirectX libraries and sound card drivers.

Call of Duty: Ghost - System Requirements (PC)

As you already understood, the game is very demanding on hardware. Why? The most appropriate explanation would be laziness of developers in work on optimization. We do not find other options: the graphics are at an extremely low level, all levels are linear, the animation is not carried out in the best way. But let's move on, in fact, to a description of what the system requirements are in Call of Duty: Ghost. Minimum:

  • OS: Windows 7 / 8 (64-bit);
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 Ghz or equivalent from AMD;
  • GPU: GeForce GTS 450/Radeon HD 5870;
  • RAM: 6 Gb;

Surprised? With such a PC, you can quite comfortably play Battlefield 4 or Crysis 3, where the level of graphics is an order of magnitude higher. However, in Ghosts you will often see flickering textures, friezes or stutters. So it goes. What are the system requirements in Call of Duty: Ghost for the best experience?

  • OS: Windows 7 / 8 (64-bit);
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 3.6Ghz or equivalent from AMD;
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 760
  • RAM: 8 Gb;
  • Hard disk space: 40 Gb.

Think for yourself: is it worth upgrading your PC for such a game? Call of Duty: Ghost has higher system requirements on PC than Battlefield 4, which is already saying something. If you are an avid fan of the series, then funny shootings are provided for you, and therefore updating the system unit is strongly recommended. Moreover, it will be needed for future next-gen projects.

Add-ons

What is Call of Duty without a pack of add-ons? Of course, the developers supported the game with content for a long time, so that gamers would not get bored on the same maps. A total of 4 DLCs were released: Invasion, Devastation, Onslaught and Nemesis.

The debut was the launch of the Onslaught add-on, released on January 28, 2013. The developers were able to please the players with 5 new maps (4 for multiplayer battles and 1 for co-op), as well as new weapons. Among the multiplayer arenas (Fog, BayView, Containment, Ignition), the last one stands out, being a remake of the famous Scrapyard from Modern Warfare 2.

The second DLC was Devastation, released on May 8, 2014. Gamers were again delighted with 4 multiplayer maps (Ruins, Behemoth, Collision, Unearthed), the last of which was a remake of the Dome map from MW3. Infinity Ward did not forget about the cooperative, for which they created a new map Episode 2: Mayday.

The third was Invasion, which became available for download on July 3, 2014. Traditionally, the DLC included 4 multiplayer maps (Departed, Pharaoh, Mutiny, Favela), the last of which was a remake of everyone's favorite arena from MW2. The cooperative was replenished with the Awakening card.

The latest downloadable content for Call of Duty: Ghosts is the Nemesis DLC. We think we won't surprise anyone by saying that it includes 4 online maps (Goldrush, Subzero, Dynasty, Showtime). Of course, the latter did not become an independent arena, based on the Shipment map from the first part of MW. Extinction-Exodus was developed for the cooperative.

Finally

Call of Duty: Ghosts has remained a standard action movie for the series, devoid of any innovations. The long-established formula is still working, allowing Activision to rack up billions in sales revenue. Nevertheless, Infinity Ward released a good game (more precisely, they worked), that is, the fans will be satisfied. If you haven't played enough of the previous parts of the series, or prefer larger-scale battles (like Battlefield), then you can safely skip this part. For Call of Duty: Ghost, the system requirements (PC) are extremely high, there are packs of bugs, a "cranberry" plot, the same type of gameplay and outdated graphics. In general, the last choice is always yours.

Before buying Call of Duty for PC don't forget to compare system requirements, provided by game developers, with your system configuration. Remember that the minimum requirements often mean that with this configuration the game will launch and run stably at the minimum quality settings. If your PC meets the recommended requirements, you can expect stable gameplay at high graphics settings. If you want to play at the quality set to "ultra", the hardware in your PC must be even better than the developers indicate in the recommended requirements.

Below are the system requirements of Call of Duty, officially provided by the developers of the project. If you think there is a mistake, please let us know by clicking the exclamation mark on the right side of the screen and briefly describing the mistake.

Minimum configuration:

  • Windows 98/ME/2000/XP;
  • DirectX 9.0b (supplied on the game disc);
  • Pentium III 600 MHz or Athlon 600 MHz for computers running Windows 98/ME;
  • Pentium III 700 MHz or Athlon 700 MHz for computers running Windows 2000/XP;
  • 128 MB of RAM;
  • 100% DirectX 9.0b compatible graphics card with 32 MB RAM and T hardware support
  • CD-ROM drive 8x;
  • 1.8 GB of free hard disk space for computers running Windows 98/ME;
  • 2 GB of free hard disk space for computers running Windows 2000/XP;

In addition to verifying the Call of Duty system requirements with your PC configuration, be sure to update your graphics card drivers. It is important to remember that you should download only the final versions of video cards - try not to use beta versions, as they may have a large number of bugs not found and not fixed.
