Necessary preparation
First of all, we recommend that you make a full backup of your device both in iTunes on your computer and in the iCloud cloud storage. The procedure for returning the previous firmware version itself implies the complete erasure of information from your device and the restoration of absolutely clean software. During the installation of the firmware into the device, it cannot be disconnected from the computer and it is advisable not to press anything until a white screen with a welcome message appears. It will mean that the process has been completed successfully and the device can be activated.

1. The process of installing the old version
Before describing the installation process, it is worth mentioning that you must have a source file in .ipsw format. No other format will work in this case.
You can download such a file on many sites, for example, at appstudio.org. To use it, you just need to follow the link, select your device, model and firmware. After that, the download of the installation file in the .ipsw format will start immediately.
Now let's proceed with the installation.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Connect your Apple device to your computer using a USB cable. ITunes must be installed on your PC / laptop. If it is not, download it from the official site and install it.
- Start iTunes. At the top left, click on the icon of your device type to display the sections. Go to the "Overview" section and there click on the "Update" button. In this case, be sure to press and hold the "Shift" button if you have Windows and "Option" if you have a Mac.

It happens that the above procedure is interrupted at some stage, or there are other problems that make the installation impossible. - In the window that appears, click "Restore" and then "IPSW".
