How to remove the dual boot manager on the phone. How to clear download app on android

To delete photos, music, videos, text documents, presentations, spreadsheets, etc. file manager is used. This is a standard program that is initially installed on any tablet. There are rare exceptions when there is no file manager, then you need to download a third-party manager from Google Play, for example ES Explorer.

To delete a file, you need to know where it is located. There is no such thing as “My Documents”, “My Music”, etc. in the Android file system. Everything is different here. In order not to wander around the file system in search of the desired file, like a homeless person on the porches, I advised you to ES Explorer. Thanks to him, all the main media files are sorted into libraries.

I will now delete one image, and following this example, you can delete any picture, music or movie from your tablet. So, in the "Libraries" section, I selected Images, clicked on the folder.

After a long press on the desired file, a check mark appeared on top. Now you can click on the "Delete" button.

You can also select several files at the same time by checking the boxes on top of them. Then all these files can be deleted in one fell swoop.

You can also delete a file directly from the gallery. If you are viewing photos or videos through the gallery, call up the menu, click "Select Files".

Click on the files you wish to delete and click on the trash can icon to delete.

The only thing is that through the gallery you will not be able to delete a non-media file, for example, a text document, so you will need to use the explorer for this.

If you want to remove a shortcut, widget or folder from the desktop, you need to pinch the desired object with your finger and drag it to the top of the display. A cross will appear and the object will turn red. When you release the object, it will be deleted.

If you need to uninstall the application, then it will help you.

Most novice tablet owners who use Android devices for the first time very often face the problem of deleting unnecessary files. It would seem that the task is quite simple, but not for a beginner. Let's look at the main ways to delete files from a tablet using exclusively pre-installed software, as well as using third-party applications.

How to delete files from tablet

The first method is the easiest to learn and does not require the installation of any other applications and the use of anything other than programs that are already on the tablet. If you just need to delete shortcuts to programs or files, then just hold and hold this shortcut until the trash symbol appears at the top, then simply drag the shortcut there and it will be removed from the main screen. However, the application itself is not deleted. In order to remove the program from the tablet, you need to go to the settings, then select the "Applications" category, there you will see a list of programs that are currently installed on your device. Next, simply select the program that you no longer need, and click on the "delete" button in the window that appears. In some cases, a window may appear with a notification that the application is currently in use, then you must select the "force stop" button.

In order to delete files on an android tablet that are not programs and applications, for example, text documents, pictures or videos, you can use a special program preinstalled on your tablet - File Manager. Oddly enough, but at the initial acquaintance with the device, few people pay attention to it, and it is with its help that you can delete, copy or move files, as well as perform any other operations with them.

You can also use the Google Play service to delete files from your tablet. Here you can download useful software that will help you solve this problem even if the previous methods did not help you with this. Some programs can also be used to completely delete files, which is almost impossible to achieve with standard tools. Such applications “clean up” all traces of the existence of files on your device, in particular, the cache, saved copies, and so on, which allows you to avoid system instability in the future, as well as clean up additional disk space. Here you can also go to the additional menu "My applications", where a list of programs that you have installed on your mobile device will be presented, by selecting an unnecessary one, you can easily remove it.

How to recover deleted files on tablet

Quite often it happens that along with unnecessary files, those that needed to be left on the tablet are also deleted. In such cases, it is quite difficult to correct the situation using only the tablet and the software installed on it. in this situation, you will connect your device to a desktop computer, and then download special utilities to it designed to solve such problems, for example, Magic Uneraser. These programs, as a rule, are multifunctional and are useful for both deleting and restoring files. Once launched, the app will scan your device and show you which files deleted from your tablet can be recovered. Applications of this kind have an intuitive interface, which allows even a beginner to quickly get used to them.

Deleting files is possible not only with the help of the device itself, but also with the help of a computer - when the device is connected to it. Let's go in order.

Deleting files through the file manager

Download the file manager from our website or from Google Play, if you don't have it yet, install and run it. When you start you will see something like this:

Highlighted in red is the device memory and memory card, respectively. Select the section where you want to delete files. Let's say the deletion will occur from the memory card. Select this section and see a list of folders and files.

To delete a folder, tap on it and hold your finger for about a second until it becomes highlighted, for example:

Many tablet owners who have not yet really mastered all the nuances of using it often encounter certain problems when trying to download a file of interest to them from the Internet, delete it, or, for example, try to launch it. So, first of all, let's figure out how to find the downloadable file in the tablet.

When downloading an application, a music file, a video clip or a simple text document, you probably wonder where exactly they will be stored in memory, and how to view the downloads on your tablet. Things are very simple - for all content downloaded from the Internet there is a special Downloads folder, which, among others, you can always find in the Explorer of your tablet. This is where all the files that you download from the global network are sent. You can also access it in the tablet's application menu, for it there is a separate application called - Downloads.

And what to do if downloads do not open on the tablet, you ask. After all, it often happens that the downloaded file may have an unusual format. And here the main thing is to figure out what kind of format it is and what program supports it. Suppose for a downloaded book in .fb2 format. you will need to find and install some simple program like FBReader, to open the .pdf format you will need Adobe Reader, and, for example, to play music in the .flac format, you will need the andLess player. In other words, do not get lost and try to choose the right program for each file.

Also, some tablet users are sometimes interested in how to remove downloads from a tablet. And there is nothing difficult in this. It is enough to go to the same Downloads folder, where, as we remember, all downloaded files are stored, then tick off those that we plan to erase, and in the menu that appears, select the picture with the basket. After a few seconds, the selected files will be deleted, unless, of course, they are currently in use. Therefore, before trying to clear downloads, make sure that the book being deleted is not open in the reader program, and the song being deleted is not playing in your player.

As you can see, it is not difficult to figure out where to watch downloads from the Internet on a tablet, how to make a file with an unusual format work, and how to delete all applications, documents and media files downloaded before this.

Advice

In order not to accidentally delete the necessary files and portable programs, you need to create a special folder where you will put them. The folder is best placed on the desktop, because. they will always be at hand.

The download history over time on an Android device can take up a large amount of memory. Unfortunately, to clear memory, it is not always enough to just delete temporary files. Sometimes you have to clear both the download history and the contents of the download folder itself.

How to clean up a folder

On Android, by default, a special folder is created where all downloaded files are placed. You can remove these elements using the built-in "Explorer". You can also use third-party programs that may be more convenient than the standard solution and provide more features. In any case, consider all available methods.

Option 1: File manager

The file manager is a separate application from the Play Market, which is distributed free of charge. With it, you can quickly navigate through the sections of the smartphone’s memory and SD card, as well as delete unnecessary files from the folder "Downloads". This is done as follows:

Option 2: Total Commander

This is a popular program that replaces the standard "Conductor" on Windows. There is also a mobile adaptation for Android. Compared to a regular file manager, there are many useful features here. However, they will not be considered in this article.

Deleting history from "Downloads" using Total Commander is as follows:

Unfortunately, in Total Commander there is no way to select several elements at once for their subsequent removal.

Option 3: Built-in Android File Explorer

Android has its own file manager installed on the system by default. The appearance of the interface and the available functionality depend on the current version of Android and add-ons from the device manufacturer. Folder cleaning process "Downloads" will happen in the example "Explorer" from Android 6 version. Your interface may look different.

Option 4: Downloads folder

In modern versions of Android, you can often find such a built-in application as "Downloads". With it, you can immediately go to the downloads folder and view the full "history" and, if necessary, delete all unnecessary items.

The instruction looks like this:

Some applications, when downloading any files from the Internet, can create separate directories, therefore, the downloaded data will not be displayed in the folder "Downloads". In this case, it is better to use other methods described in the article or try to delete the downloaded data directly from the application through which it was downloaded.

This article discussed the main ways to clear the download history on an Android device, as well as delete all downloaded, but already unnecessary files. In addition to the applications considered, there are others that provide similar functionality, but it makes no sense to consider them within the framework of this article.

Let's talk today about how to stop downloading on android. It happens that you download something or the applications themselves are updated, and then the connection takes and ... breaks. The connection appears, but the download hangs on the same marks. Neither here nor there. And undo doesn't work. Hanging loading specifically, hanging and annoying. The first, second advice from the search engine does not work. And the download hangs and IRRITATES. Once again, I forgot where to dig and decided to make a manual for myself, maybe someone else will come in handy. Let me remind you that other posts on optimizing your phone or tablet can be found under the heading.

How to cancel or interrupt a download on Android? Below is a brief but very detailed instruction and many screenshots. It works on Android version 4.0.3 and others, but on my smart with version 4.4.2 KitKat, there was no need to stop downloading. The download itself was filmed, and then resumed when a network signal appeared. An underloaded file in the Downloads folder has the status "Pending". Loading does not work in all cases. If your download is not removed, then proceed to the cleaning yourself.

I give below 2 options to disable downloads that "hangs". Rather, even these are not options, but paths to one solution. I wrote about how to remove the notification "Waiting for download .." in a post

Option one.

1. Exit the menu. Click on "Applications". You can also access this item through the "Settings" ("Options") icons on the desktop.

2. In the "Applications" menu, go to the "All" tab and look for "Download Manager". We press.

3. In the download manager, you must click "Erase data". This will stop the download task.

4. We receive the last warning and agree. Here we are warned that the under-downloaded file will be deleted.

5. We get a clean screen without incomplete downloads. The whole thing took 3 minutes.

It is done. The download icon is gone, the under-downloaded file from the downloads folder has disappeared. You can live in peace.

Option two.

We pull off the top curtain, find the download and long tap (press) call the pop-up form "About the application".

Click and the download manager will open. The "Download Manager" itself does not need to be stopped, we only need to erase the data.

We will receive a warning that the uploaded data will be deleted. The warning is formidable, but this is the standard and only warning for all applications, so the authors of Android included all the dangers that they could foresee when deleting data from any application. We agree (or disagree).

The job is done again. The download icon disappeared again, the under-downloaded file from the "downloads" folder disappeared, the arrow does not irritate, resources are released.

You can see the rest of the little tricks about increasing memory and settings for Android in posts and. Good luck and don't download!
