Most computer users know that screenshots are easily taken with the “PrintScreen” key. But taking screenshots with the “PrtScr” key is not always convenient. After all, this command creates a screenshot of only what you see on the screen. And web pages tend to have where larger size than one screen.

The program settings have been made and now the browser is ready to take screenshots. Sometimes, in the process of working at a computer, we need to "photograph" some event that occurs on the screen of our monitor. For example, some program generated an error, or some kind of notification, which is impossible to figure out on your own, but this problem needs to be solved. This is where the opportunity to "photograph" what you see on the monitor comes in handy - to make a so-called "screenshot" of the visible area of the monitor, or in abbreviated form - "screen". To do this, press the "Print Screen" key (sometimes the name is written in abbreviated form, for example, "PrtScrn"), basically it is located either to the right of the F12 key, or slightly below. The image will be placed on the clipboard, and to inform the program developers (or service technical support) about an error, you can insert it into a letter or other document (for example, in MS Word, Excel or PowerPoint) and send it to them so that they understand why this or that error occurred and give recommendations on how to fix it. If you want to save a screenshot to your computer, then you need to open any graphics editor(the simplest is the built in Windows Paint), paste it there (either through the "Edit" - "Paste" menu, or a simple key combination "Ctrl" + "V" in English layout keyboard) and save it anywhere on your computer or on removable media information.
If you need to make a screen of not everything that happens on the monitor, but only some separate window folders or programs, then you need to make this window active, and then press the "Alt" + "Print Screen" key combination on the keyboard.
In general, screenshots are needed in cases where it is easier to show or send a screenshot of what is happening on the screen to the interlocutor than for a long time explain it or retype it into the text of the letter manually.
But what if you need a screenshot of a page that vertically does not fit the monitor size? For example, you need to save as an image a long page of five to six vertical lengths of your monitor, according to your vertical stripe scrolling.
There are several ways to do this.
1. The simplest, which does not require the installation of any programs, and at the same time the most time consuming, and not very quality way- is to make sequentially several screenshots one after another, each time scrolling down the page one screen, and in parallel insert the resulting pictures one after another, for example, in Word or Excel. The disadvantage of this method is its duration in time, obtaining an incomplete picture and the need to fit the edges of the previous and next images to each other. You can use this method only in those cases when you are in a hurry and you do not care about the quality of the final result. In this case, you will not get a whole, single image.
2. Using online services for creating screenshots of any website pages. For example, let's try to get a screenshot of one of the pages of my site "Smart computer", where I talk about increasing the size of the text (opens in a new window):
On my work monitor, this page takes four vertical dimensions screen. There is a wonderful online service that easily cope with the task, producing full-fledged screenshots of long pages as a result. I suggest that you familiarize yourself with it and use it in the future if you like it.
After following the link above, you will be taken to a simple page where you need to specify the address of the page of the site from which we want to get a full-size screenshot. Copy it from address bar browser (or directly from this article) and indicate on this site our page for the test: https: // site / sovetyi / kak-uvelichit-razmer-teksta.
Press the "Capture Screenshot" button and wait for the site to generate the image (progress will reach 100%). This usually takes from a few seconds to a couple of minutes, depending on the vertical length of the page.
Click on the "Download Image" button and it starts automatic download screenshot of the resulting page.

Of course, there are enough a large number of online services that allow you to do the same as Web Screenshots, but some of them are quite difficult to learn, some require registration in order to get the required image, so I recommend what I use myself.
