What to do if you forgot your password?

Problem - Can't find resource
If suddenly, after clicking on the Protect button, you get the inscription can "t find resource, then do not rush to get upset. This happens when you try to put a password on an application that is located on the system drive C (well, or what letter do you have there?) You just don't have enough rights for this procedure.
To fix this, you need to run game protector as an administrator. If you do not know, then you can do this by right-clicking on the shortcut or launch file and selecting "Run as administrator". Everything else is the same.
The only thing is that the encrypted application will now also need to be run as an administrator, otherwise the program will not open after entering the password.
If you do not want to constantly bother with this, you can set the program to always start in this mode. To do this, right-click on the password-protected file, select properties, and there, on the tab "Compatibility", check the box next to "Run this program as an administrator". That's all.

Parental control
If you have children, it is advisable to create a separate parental control account for them.Pros: this way you can block a number of programs and games that are unwanted for children, as well as set a time limit for using a PC.
Cons: children will not be able to install games and programs themselves.
Actions: from the "Control Panel" go to the "Parental Control" section.
In the dialog box, select the account on which you want to set parental control (I have it called "Children"). 
On your account (at the administrator) you must definitely set a password, since through this account you can remove parental control from other users. On the "children" account, a password is optional. Put a checkmark in the paragraph "Parental Control": "Enable using current settings."
Next, in the "Time limit", "Games" and "Allow and block specific programs" groups, set the necessary parameters and click OK. Ready. Further changes in the Parental Control settings and the installation of games/programs will take place through the Administrator account.
Password on the hard drive
In Windows 7, there is a program that can put a password on an entire hard drive. She calls BitLocker.Pros: Using the program is very simple, and for this you do not need to download additional files or search for the program in the system.

Deny/allow access to some users
You can prevent other users of the computer from accessing a personal folder without setting a password for it.Pros: no need to remember the password.
Cons: If a stranger is in your account, he will be able to open the folder without any problems.
Actions: Right-click on the desired folder and select properties. In the window that appears, go to the "Security" tab. Here you will see the users who are allowed to access the folder. You can change the list by clicking on the Change button. For example, we need to deny access to the folder to the user "Children". Select it from the list and click Remove.
You can also not deny access, but put some restrictions (for example, allow the user to read the folder only). To allow access to the folder, instead of "Delete" click "Add". In the window that appears, we drive in the name of the user to whom you want to open access, and click "OK" - the user appears in the list. You must uncheck the boxes next to the items that you want to disable for the selected user group.

Do not forget that the security of your personal data depends not only on the method of protecting it, but also on the password set on your computer. A good password should contain both letters (both uppercase and lowercase) and numbers.
