How to change the desktop on an iPhone. How to customize a user-friendly iPhone desktop: helpful tips for organizing your home screen correctly

The standard Safari browser of the iOS 7 operating system allows you to bring your favorite bookmarks to the iPhone or iPad desktops in the form of shortcuts, similar to those that can be seen in the built-in or third-party applications of the platform. This allows quick access to the most popular user sites that are visited several times a day. Such shortcuts lend themselves to exactly the same organization as any others - they can be grouped into separate folders or in any other way, which is very convenient.

1. Go to the Safari application of the iOS 7 operating system:

2.Using the address bar or the bookmark bar, go to the site that you want to save on one of the device's desktops as a shortcut:

3. Go to the action menu with an open Internet page - it is a square, from which an arrow flies up:

4. Select the option "To the Home Screen" - this function will allow you to save a bookmark to the site on your desktop:

5. Enter the desired label name and confirm your intentions with the "Add" button:

On the home screen of the user's iPhone or iPad, a shortcut bookmark will appear for accessing a specific site on the Internet:

Thus, with the help of shortcuts to bookmarks of the most frequently visited Internet pages, you can organize easy and quick access to them in just a couple of taps on the iPhone or iPad screen on iOS 7.

Installing weather on the iPhone desktop using standard tools is not possible for some users in newer versions of the operating system.

After updating the operating system of the smartphone, most users faced the problem of displaying some system utilities and widgets.

However, the problem can be solved after turning on the geological location mode.

It is disabled by default in IOS, so the weather utility cannot determine the user's location and provide weather information.

Several reasons for the incorrect display or disappearance of the weather widget:

  • system crash when trying to determine the geological location of the user;
  • the lack of the "Weather" application in the notification center of the smartphone;
  • the standard weather application is not supported in the territory where the user is located;
  • lack of updating the utility to the latest version.

Enabling user geolocation mode

Follow the instructions:

  • Go to your iPhone's settings and click on the privacy section. You will be taken to the user security management menu as shown in the figure below.
  • Select the first tab to enable geolocation as shown in the picture.

  • In models with newer versions of the IOS operating system, the geological location parameters are located in the system services tab (an example is shown in the figure). In this case, check if compass calibration is enabled.
Also, make sure the correct time zone is selected. Often times, geolocation and time zone mismatches lead to software errors and the Weather application cannot access network data.

Enabling the required system services for the device

After completing all the above steps, restart your iPhone, the application should receive the weather data and display it on the screen after connecting to the Internet.

Important! It should be noted that the low speed of the Internet connection can also cause incorrect display of the weather, because the application is not able to regularly download data. For normal operation of the widget, you must connect to the network Wi-Fi or 3G.

Adding the system Weather application to the Action Center

The "Review for today" widget is responsible for displaying the latest news and weather conditions in the updated IOS operating system.

In order for it to be updated regularly, you need to include it in the notification center of your smartphone and, when you receive new data from the network, you will be automatically notified using the widget on your desktop.

Use a swipe (moving up and down the screen) to open the action center.

Shown here are all applications running in the background for user convenience.

Click on the "Change" button, which is located at the bottom of the notification center.

Select the desired application and turn it on using the operation adjustment slider, as shown in the figure:

After completing this action, the weather will be displayed in the notification center and or on the home screen.

Using third-party software to customize the weather widget

A lot of weather display applications have been created for the IOS operating system. (We wrote how to uninstall applications in another article).

It can be added to both the desktop and the lock screen of the phone.

It is worth noting that before you start using any third-party program, it should be added to the notification center, as described in the previous subsection of the article.

  • Yahoo Weather. Utility to add weather widget to home screen or lock screen. The background image changes every few hours in random order, it corresponds to the time of day and weather.
Also, the user can choose the background picture himself. There are wind maps and different temperatures. After installing the utility, add it to the notification center, and after the first launch, enable regular notifications.

  • This program will always keep you informed of all weather conditions in your region. There is the ability to predict the ebb, as well as the tide. In addition to the standard functions, the application has a beautiful and intuitive interface.

Jailbreak tweak Verbarim for iPhone and iPad allows you to set the clock, date and weather widget on the iOS 7 lock screen.

The new smartphone also has an updated version of dynamic wallpapers - owners of iphone x can already decorate the desktops of their newly purchased gadgets with them.

Apple's new smartphone is in a hurry to offer 6 original LIVE covers. The first 3 use the format that can be seen on the packaging of the gadget, and also come with it. The remaining 3 are iphone x wallpapers, known to many since the presentation. They are currently only available as standard iOS 11 wallpapers in beta.

Despite the fact that the beta version is still at the testing stage by registered developers, ordinary users can look and even take the iphone x ios 11 wallpaper on some Internet resources, in particular on my website, where you will find the largest selection.

New Wallpaper Iphone X

Seven variants of dynamic wallpapers are released separately in green, yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, as well as a multi-color version. The iphone x animated wallpaper is the first relaunch of the format since it was first introduced with iOS 7.

By applying a dark background to the status bar area, the iphone x wallpaper helps to cope with the microphone and camera cut-out, which is noticeable when using regular colored wallpapers and is annoying to many. The dark edge with rounded ends blends the iphone x wallpaper with the top of the screen, hiding the unevenness of the cutouts.

It is worth noting that many people used to add such a panel by editing a picture in Photoshop. Even though the apple iphone x wallpaper solved this problem, the cutout can still be seen when it is illuminated by animated screensaver elements.

This is the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to changing the interface of your iOS device's operating system. The customization feature lets you apply different themes for app icons, change the interface, modify the lock screen, home screen, and much more.

Step 3: There you will find all the themes that can be installed on your iPhone. The theme we will be using is called " Neon V2 "... Select it and click to open it.

Step 4: Go down to the "Theme Installation" section and click on the "Application icons" icon.

Step 5: A list of themed icons will appear. Click to select all the applications whose icons you want to change.

  • Advice: If you need to hide the names of applications, then you need to click on the "X" button in the name of the selected application.

Step 6: Scroll down to the bottom and click on the "Generate theme" button.

Step 7: After that, the browser will go to the installation page of the corresponding profile. Click to install.

Step 8: Go to the home screen and see that the icons of the selected applications have changed. Place them on one screen.

# 5 Organize Icons and Set Home Screen Wallpaper

To get the home screen above, you will need to use blank icons, which will create a blank space at the top of the screen. You can also set the wallpaper shown in the screenshot, but this will display the outlines of the dock and the background of the folders.

Step 1: Download and set your home screen wallpaper from here on your iPhone.

Step 2: Set the downloaded wallpaper to your lock screen and home screen.

Step 3: The next step is to add blank icons to the home screen to create the "Dream" caption. Here's how to do it:

And it's all. You now have a modified home screen that looks like the one we used as an example for this article. Note that we did all this without jailbreaking your device.

Many iPhone and iPad owners have probably faced a problem when they have to spend a lot of time looking for the desired program, lost among a huge number of installed applications. Organizing app icons in a handy way can help prevent these situations and make your iPhone more productive.

Remember: you can always use Spotlight to find apps. Just drag down from the top of the display to bring up the search bar (or swipe left and hit Search) and enter the name of the program.

Alternatively, you can use the Siri voice assistant.

How to return the arrangement of icons to the "factory order"

If there are too many icons on the home screen, you can return the desktop to the "factory" appearance. This little trick will arrange the apps in the order the Apple engineers intended. Open up "Settings""Basic""Reset""Reset Settings to Home".

As a result of this action, the applications installed by default will be displayed on the home screen, and all programs you downloaded and created folders will be located on the following pages of the screen. While you might not like the default icon layout, this method will help you separate your apps and get started organizing them on your home screen.

Consistency is the best method to be productive on an iPhone. There are many ways to sort apps, but they will only work if you adhere to your own set of rules.

Arrange icons by parameters:

In alphabet order. The way of arranging icons in alphabetical order (from A to Z) is quite convenient, but if there are a lot of applications, they can "crawl" over several screens. If so, try creating folders like A to C, D to F, and so on.

By color: If you are used to being guided by color, group the icons in the same color scheme according to our example.

By association: Another way out is to place icons of similar applications next to each other. For example, in the center, place the key applications "Mail", "Messages", Safari, on another screen - work tools such as Dropbox, Evernote and OneDrive, on the third - games.

By action: This recommendation applies to folders. Instead of vague terms like "shopping" or "news", use verbs in folder names ("listen", "read" or "watch"). Thus, when searching for a program, you just need to open the corresponding folder with applications.

Use folders

iOS allows folders to be placed in the Dock. You can put your favorite applications on the panel and they will be available from any screen. There is really no limit to the number of folders in the Dock, but it’s better to limit yourself to two, for example, Messages and Mail.

When you have a significant number of applications, folders are a necessary evil, but sorting into folders does not always make the task of finding an application easier. In this case, you can use emoji in the folder names, which will not only please the eye, but also allow you to be creative.

How to arrange icons on the iPhone and iPad desktop anywhere on the screen

Create a desktop that is comfortable for you

This may sound obvious, but we all use our iPhone in different ways. Some users rarely open anything else every day, others download ten games every week, and those who enjoy running or cycling often use apps like Runtastic and Music.

The main screen is intended for the most useful applications, access to which is carried out with one tap, and it is better to place all folders on the second "page". You can view information about the most frequently used applications in the section "Settings""Battery"... Click the clock icon to display statistics on the usage time of each app.

The second screen is a great place to place folders, since you don't need to do a lot of taps and swipes to access them. If there are few applications, you can completely abandon the folders.

Do you spend a lot of time looking for the app you use all the time? Move its icon closer to the top of the list, and move little-used programs a little further. Organize programs on the home screen based on their usefulness and frequency of use.
