Of the shortcomings, it should be noted that on computers with Windows XP, this method can only be written to a CD - not to a DVD.
What are the disks
There are CDs and DVDs. Many people think that only films are recorded on DVD, and everything else on CD - music, documents, photographs. In fact, this is not the case. They differ only in size.
A DVD can hold four or even eight times more information than a CD. That is, if one movie fits on a CD, and even then it is not in very good quality, then four films and even more can be recorded on a DVD disc. Music, photos, documents and other files and folders can be burned to both CD and DVD.
There are also R and RW discs. The difference between them is that you can write information on R only once, and on RW many times. Recorded, used, and then erased and recorded something else.
Well, and, among other things, disks can be conditionally divided into "full" and "empty". That is, those on which something has already been recorded (films, music, etc.) and those on which there is nothing.
Burn discs

The first option is more convenient and modern: you will have a disk very similar to a USB flash drive - you can write files and folders by ordinary copying, and erase from it by simple deletion. But on the other hand, such disks may not open on some computers.
The second option - "With CD / DVD player" - is classic, that is, the same as in Windows XP. It is suitable if you want to record music and plan to listen to it not only on a computer, but also on players (for example, in a car). This option is less convenient, but more reliable - a disc recorded in this mode will open on any computer.
Click on the type that suits you. Then click on the "Next" button.
If you have chosen Like a USB flash drive, a warning will appear stating that you will have to wait while the disc is preparing to burn. By the way, it happens that you have to wait a long time - more than ten minutes. Click the "Yes" button.
When everything is ready, the window will disappear, and a new small window will appear, in which the computer will "offer" to open the folder to view the files.
But even if such a window does not appear, it's okay, just open Computer again and open the CD / DVD drive.
An empty folder will open. Right-click on an empty space and click on "Paste".
After some time, the previously copied files and folders will be added. That's all, the disc burn was successful!
If you have chosen the type With CD / DVD player, then a blank disc will open. Right-click on an empty space and click on "Paste".
The files and folders you copied will be pasted to the disc. But this does not mean that they have already signed up for it. In order for this to happen, you need to right-click on an empty space and select the "Burn to disk" item from the list.
A new window will appear. You can type a name for the disc in it, but this is optional. Click "Next".
Now you have to wait. When the disc is written (the green bar fills up and disappears), a new window will open, in which you need to click the "Finish" button.
But even if such a window does not appear, the disc is still recorded.
Most likely, he will advance on his own. Thus, the computer "tells" us that the recording was successful and the disc can already be used.
How to erase a Windows 7 disk
We can erase from a disk only if it is reusable and is called RW. If the letter R is written on it, it means that the disc is disposable and cannot be erased from it.
Insert the disc into the drive and open it on your computer (Start - Computer - CD / DVD drive).
Try deleting the file or folder. To do this, right-click on the file (folder). A list will open. See if there is a "Delete" item in it. If there is, then delete the information through this item.

Since a movie of several GB is recorded on a DVD in separate files of no more than one GB in size, you can easily identify the files of the main movie there. They go strictly in order, starting from (for example, in our case) VTS_07_1.VOB to VTS_07_6.VOB and their size, except for the last one, will be approximately 1GB. But this is how we are for general education.
The program itself can select the files of the main movie. This requires

The process of copying a disk to a computer in Windows XP is the same, only now we will additionally consider how to use not keyboard hotkeys, but use a mouse.
On the left side of Explorer, we find the disc that was inserted into the drive (as shown in the picture below).
Since the Explorer screen is divided into two parts, you can visually see the contents of the disk, and select the necessary (or all) files of this disk in order to copy them to your computer. The left part displays the contents of the disk folders, and the right part also displays the files:
To select all files for copying, left-click just below the last file and, while holding this left mouse button, select files up to the first file until all files are selected (as you can see in the picture above).
Thus, all these files are placed in the "temporary memory" of the computer (Clipboard). Now you need to decide where to paste (copy) these files on your computer.
Create a separate folder to copy the disk to your computer.
In my case, on drive D, I created a DISKS folder in which I have different drives copied earlier. And now I created another one in it: Confident PC user:

It is not difficult to download information from such online disks. To get started, you need an account on the corresponding service. If you have an email address on this resource, then you can use it to enter the cloud storage. You will be taken to your account, which will reflect all the files available to you. This includes both the files you "uploaded" and the files of other people to which you have access. Further, the storage algorithm is different for each internet platform:
For Google Drive:
- select the files you need;
- open the "additional" menu and select the "Download" item;

For Yandex Disk:
