How to set up notifications on meizu. What to do if notifications are not received on Meizu phone

For two weeks of my life with Meizu MX6, I tested the convenience of notifications on myself, and now I am sharing my opinion with you. Why is this function so important and good? You can choose a convenient working mode and be aware of all events or limit the flow of information.

Let there be light!

Many Meizu models have an LED event indicator, which is very helpful. Its brightness is sufficient to attract attention, but not excessive; it does not hit the eyes at night and does not light up the room. The indicator informs about all events: missed calls, received SMS, messenger activities, e-mail messages or calendar notifications. Note that the diode has a milky white color, you cannot change it or the intensity of blinking. In any case, a well-tuned indicator light is a very good thing.

Lock screen

If you activate pop-up notifications in the settings, on the locked screen, received messages and calls will appear there. You can immediately read the received message or send a response to it; you do not need to unlock the smartphone in this case. You can answer a missed call with a call in one click from the notification card. Convenient, saves time and hassle.

To get to the menu with notifications, go to the phone settings, select the Notification panel item, there we already go to the Notification management and change everything that is needed.

On the menu

Notifications appear not only on lockscreen, but also on top of the running application in a pop-up window. In order not to be distracted once more, in the settings you can choose which applications send notifications and which do not.

Notification manager

Information goes to the notification curtain, and not just to the lock screen. Too many messages come from different sources, but you don't want to look for the right one? In the menu, we set the priority of events, then events from the selected applications will go to the very top of the list. They chose what is convenient, once and forgot, but how informative. We clear the list completely or selectively at will, as convenient. E-mails can only be read or deleted immediately, you cannot answer from the curtain. But spam will not work!

In the “notification manager” section, permissions are given to activate the screen with a new event (if the phone is not in your pocket), notifications in the curtain and on the lock screen are turned on. Complete disabling of notifications is available in the same section.

Messengers

In the current version of Flyme OS, there are no notifications on the app icon. Do you need the number of unread messages on the icon? Good question, I am personally annoyed by the extra information on the screen, but such a function would not hurt.

Summing up the results of my experiment, I will say that Meizu did an excellent job. All actions and buttons are intuitive, and flexible configuration of the notification system helps you change the phone for yourself and get a convenient assistant at hand.

The proprietary operating system in Meizu devices in the new version has received a modified operation of applications in the background and a slightly different notification setting. The phone's power saving feature has also been improved to conserve battery power. However, sometimes it happens that, due to the saving of battery resources, applications running in the background are automatically blocked. Because of this, Meizu does not receive a notification from any application (Viber, Vkontakte and others).

This state of affairs is quite unpleasant, since the user is not able to receive important messages in a timely manner and respond to them in the same way. This review will just be devoted to the topic of setting up pop-up (or push) notifications using various methods.

There are three most common and effective ways to set up notifications on phones from the Chinese brand Meizu. The convenience of these methods is that the user does not need to contact the service center or have extended user rights to perform certain actions. Each of the considered methods requires a minimum amount of time. Let's consider each of the options below.

Method 1. Autostart

In the case when notifications from Whatsapp or other messengers are not received on Meizu, you should try to configure the operation of pop-up messages by setting autostart. To do this, you must perform the following actions:

  1. Open "Settings", find and select the item " Additional settings".
  2. At this point, you must go to the section "Battery".
  3. Then select the item "Save charge".
  4. Click on Application Management... In this section, you will need to select those applications that are most important for work and from which notifications should come. In the list of the section it is necessary to mark the required applications. Also check the box "No limits" at the top of the section. In an earlier version of MIUI firmware, buttons will be available for selection "Allow" and Deny, among which you need to click the first.
  5. After selecting applications for them, you need to set autorun. To do this, you need to go to the application "Safety" and choose in it "Permissions".
  6. Then go to the section "Autostart"(or "Autostart") and mark all the necessary applications in it.

The advantage of this method is that it allows you to customize notifications for specific applications, which are of the highest priority for the user. Also, due to the limited list of programs running in the background, battery power will be saved.

Method 2. Task Manager

A fairly common reason when notifications may not come in WhatsApp on Meizu (including from other messengers) is the task manager blocking applications running in the background. The peculiarity of this situation is also in the fact that messages will be received only when the user himself manually launches each program.

You can solve this problem using simple steps:

  1. Open "Task Manager"(you need to slide your finger across the screen from the lower right corner upwards).
  2. You need to continuously press on a specific application from which notifications should come. You must hold your finger until the icon in the form of a closed lock appears.

In some cases, the task manager may not be displayed, then you can still use the following combination of actions:

  1. Run all the most important programs.
  2. Open the multitasking menu.
  3. Swipe down on the app.
  4. In the window that appears, click on the image of the lock.

By setting these options, applications are pinned to the Task Manager list and will not close even if you clear the list of applications. Thus, the selected programs will always be active (even in the background) and will be able to send push messages.

Method 3. Synchronization

It so happens that push messages may not come due to disabled synchronization with the device. This is often the case for resources such as email and social media. Fixing this problem can be quite easy and simple. To do this, go to the section "Settings" and click on the item "Application settings", and then select the required programs. You also need to make sure that the sync toggle switch is in the active position. If not, then you need to move it to include.

After completing all the above steps, notifications from mail or social networks will definitely come to Meizu's phone.

Good afternoon. When I wrote a review on my own, I praised the MIUI operating system. This is because a lot of work has been done in it to optimize the operation of Android OS and save battery. It is clear that any increase in runtime is associated with a decrease in processor and data network usage. Apps are denied access to the network and location in the background. But another advantage of this operating system is that everything or almost everything is customizable here. So let's allow the applications we want to use the network in the background.

Open the settings and tap on the "Additional settings" item (depending on the translation, it may be called a little differently, the item above the accounts).

We open the "Battery" section.

We tap on the item "Saving charge".

Here, of course, you can select "Do not restrict" to give all applications full access, but in this case, the battery will hide right before your eyes, but why is it needed? Therefore, we click on "Application Management", we will give access only to those applications that we really need.

We look for the required application in the list and tap on it. We set the parameter “ No limits"In the upper section, and if this is, for example, a weather widget application that needs to determine the location, then we put" Allow”In the lower section“ Locating ”. By the way, in the older MIUI, you will have access to only two items "Allow" or "Deny" in the upper section, respectively, select Allow.

Repeat this for all required applications, but don't overdo it. This is what my list of apps looks like with edited settings.

Now let's add applications to startup, for this we find the green icon of the “Security” application on the desktop and open it.

We tap on the "Permissions" button.

And open the "Autostart" section.

We are looking for the necessary applications and enable autorun for them.

In most cases, these two actions are sufficient for the normal operation of the application, but you can also try to perform the following actions:

1) Open "Settings" → "Battery" → "Power" → gear "Settings" in the upper right corner and there move the item "Clean up RAM" to "Never".

2) Launch the problematic application and minimize it. Press the "Recent Applications" button (by default, this is the left touchscreen) and pull the application icon down to bring up an additional menu, put a lock. This action will prevent the operating system from unloading this application from memory.

3) In continuation of the second additional method, click on the gear icon, open "Notifications" and turn on everything.

Look like that's it. I hope this article was useful to you, click one of the buttons below to tell your friends about it. Also subscribe to site updates by entering your e-mail in the field on the right or by subscribing to the Vkontakte group and YouTube channel.

Recently, users of Meizu, which runs on the Flyme OS shell, have been complaining that notifications from applications such as Instagram, Telegram and other third-party applications do not come. The solution to this problem lies on the surface. The flyme os developers have made it so that permissions for applications in new versions of the operating system are not initially issued. The default setting is set “on demand”. Of course, if you go in and the application requires access to contacts, a request will appear and you can give access. But applications do not ask permission for everything necessary to receive notifications on a smartphone. These can be such permissions as “work in the background”, “use the memory of the smartphone” and others. Let's use Instagram as an example to solve the problem of why notifications are not received on Meizu / Flyme OS.

App update / Meizu notifications / notifications are not received

One of the options why notifications / alerts are not received may be an outdated version of the application. If automatic updating is disabled, then it is worth periodically going to the Play Store and checking for updates. It is best to always update the applications you need to keep the application running correctly.

Notifications from applications do not come - we issue access

Meizu smartphones have a pre-installed Security application, through which we will do all the necessary actions. First of all, you need to go to the Security application, in the Permissions section. After that, go to the menu item called Application notifications. Here we need to give access (check the box) to the necessary applications, for example Instagram and Telegram.
After you complete the first step, go to the application access control section. We select the application we need, for which we need to set up notifications. For example, in my case, it will be Instagram.
It is recommended to give full access here, that is, to allow all items so that the application is not limited in something. These actions will help solve the problem with the fact that notifications are not received on the Meizu smartphone, which runs on the Flyme OS 6, 7 version operating system. Do not do this with all applications, as it can affect the autonomy of the device. It is better to give access to the application you need, so you also protect yourself from spam with notifications that you do not need. Subscribe to site updates, and

Normally, the messenger, after exiting it, continues to work in the background: the application is minimized, you do not use it, but calls are made, and notifications of incoming messages are working. If you do not receive WhatsApp notifications, it means that there was some kind of device failure or its settings were changed. We will tell you how to fix the problem on iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone, as well as give separate instructions for Xiaomi and Meizu.

We check and configure the Internet

These instructions will work for most popular platforms. You may encounter slight differences in wording, but this will not affect your understanding of the process. A separate case, if WhatsApp notifications on Windows Phone stopped coming: pay special attention to the quality of the Internet and to the item regarding the battery saving mode.

For owners of smartphones Xiaomi and Meizu

The devices of these companies are positioned as the most "long-playing", capable of operating for a long time without recharging. In fact, the manufacturers are a little cunning: this advantage is not achieved due to the increased volume of the battery. The Task Manager blocks third-party applications from running in the background by default. As soon as you close the messenger, it turns off completely and is offline. Accordingly, WhatsApp does not show message or incoming call notifications.

How to fix:

  • Section "Settings", then "Additional settings".
  • Battery button, then Application Management.

  • We are looking for WhatsApp in the list and click the "No restrictions" button.
