How to save traffic with Opera Turbo? Browser extension Browsec. Using the Tor browser

Users usually need a proxy server to gain anonymity and change their real IP address. Anyone who uses Yandex Browser can easily install a proxy and continue working on the Internet under different data. And if data substitution is not a frequent matter, then inadvertently you can forget how to disable the configured proxy.

Depending on how the proxy was enabled, the way to disable it will be selected. If the IP address was originally registered in Windows, then you will need to change the network settings. In the case when the proxy was activated through installed extension, you will need to disable or remove it. The enabled Turbo mode is also a proxy in some way, and it must be disabled so as not to experience possible inconvenience when working on the network.

Browser settings

If the proxy was enabled through a browser or through Windows, then you can disable it in exactly the same way.

After that, the proxy server will stop working and you will use your real IP again. If you no longer want to use established address, then first delete the data, and only then uncheck the box.

Disable extensions

Users often install anonymizer extensions. If there are difficulties with disabling, for example, you cannot find the button to disable the extension's work or the anonymizer icon is not at all on the browser panel, then you can disable it through the settings.

Please note that this block only appears when there is a VPN extension enabled. The button itself does not disable the proxy connection, but the work of the entire add-on! To reactivate it, you need to go to Menu> " Supplements"And enable the previously disabled extension.

Disable Turbo

We have already described how this mode works in Yandex Browser.

In short, it can also work as a VPN, since page compression occurs on third party servers provided by Yandex. In this case, the user who turned on Turbo mode inevitably becomes a proxy user. Of course, this option does not work like anonymizing extensions, but sometimes it can also ruin the network.

Disabling this mode is very simple - click on Menu and select " Turn off turbo»:

If Turbo is activated automatically as soon as the speed of the Internet connection drops, then change this item in the browser settings.

In one of the previous lessons, I already talked about the turbo option in the Opera browser, which solves this problem, and now the time has come turbo mode for Yandex browser... The principle of its operation is the same as in the previous lesson. The site is first processed on a foreign server, and then presented to the user in the browser in an optimized form.

The site is shown to the user with such a call and information about the blocking does not appear.

Let's see where to enable this mode. We open the browser. Further in the right upper corner click on the icon in the video of three strips and go to the "Settings" item.

Scroll down the page to the settings block called "Turbo". By default, you have the "Turn on automatically on slow connection" option active. Since now usually the Internet speed is high, this option is turned on very rarely, so we need to switch to the "Always on" option for the turbo to work.

On the right side of the address bar, you will see a rocket icon, which will mean that the turbo mode has started working.

Now, when you go to a blocked site, you will see it. Also, to reduce traffic, all banners on the sites will be disabled and in order to show them, it will be enough to click on the "Show content" link.

That's all for me. In the next lessons, we will continue to understand that.

Below you can watch the video version of the lesson.

In this tutorial I will tell you about new service Yandex.Radio.

In this lesson I will tell how to open a blocked site using the Opera browser and its Turbo option. The whole feature of the work Opera Turbo the fact that the page is not transmitted directly, but through foreign servers. On them, it is optimized, processed and returned back to your browser in a different, modified form. In fact, a foreign server comes to the site, and since the site is blocked only for Russian servers, it gets access to it without any problems.

I'll tell you today how to open blocked sites through anonymizers. They are also called web proxies. Anonymizers- special sites that work as proxy servers, allowing you to go through them to sites under the guise of users from other countries. Thus, we hide our real location.

One of the most popular electronic formats on the this moment is PDF. It is with the help of it that in most cases text and graphic information such as books, brochures, advertising brochures, price lists, etc. Today I will tell you how you can open this format online if you do not have it installed on your computer. special program to view files with the .pdf extension.

These methods require installation additional programs or browser extensions, or changing browser settings. On the other hand, they are more reliable and easier to use.

    2. Turbo modes in browsers

    Opera Turbo.
Download Opera browser. Click on Opera button Turbo and watch what you want.

In this mode, the browser works like a proxy: the requested data is transmitted through the Opera's proxy server compressing traffic, and then transmitted to the user. As a pleasant effect - an increase in the speed of loading sites in this mode.
This technology is implemented in Opera browsers and Opera Mobile, starting from their 10th version, as well as any browser built using the Opera Devices SDK.

According to the above principle, a similar function works in the domestic browser. Use for health!

This is some kind of tunnel that allows you using certain settings or software, to receive Internet connections from servers of your choice, including those located outside our country. Thus, the server to which you are connected gives you full access to Internet resources, even if they are blocked in Russia.

Below are the VPN providers that are our partners and who provide wide range services on the stated topic and at the same time focuses attention in his work on confidentiality and protection of the rights of Internet users:

It is a proxy server system that allows you to establish an anonymous network connection.

First of all, you will need to download the latest version of the Tor browser, launch it and start using the capabilities and tools of the onion technology.
It has its own advantages and disadvantages. But as one of the ways to circumvent the prohibitions and censorship on the Internet, it is quite a good tool.
Just do not rely heavily on the fact that in this network you will be completely anonymous. Unfortunately Tor nodes v Lately more and more claims to their insecurity and
    7. Access to blocked resources through online translators

One of undocumented opportunities different online internet services that perform operations at the request of users on their side - this is essentially proxying traffic for such requests.
You can most clearly and effectively see how such a side effect works using online translators such as Yandex.Translation and Google.Translate

It is quite simple to use them as access to blocked resources (translators from both Internet giants are similar in functions): in the left window of the translator you insert a link to the resource you want to visit, and in the right window select the language of the site (Russian) and press the button " translate". You not only get access to specific page blocked site, but you can also surf on this Internet resource.

Open source software created to organize a super-stable anonymous, overlay, encrypted network and is applicable for web surfing, anonymous hosting (creating anonymous sites, forums and chats, file-sharing servers, etc.), exchange systems instant messaging, blogging, and file sharing.
In more detail about all the possibilities of this hidden network:

As a check for the availability of an Internet resource from different points Russia and the world you can use the corresponding tool on the portal Ping-Admin.ru. We also advise you to study the material from the Wikibooks:

From other people, but we ourselves often find ourselves in their place. And if many still agree to put up with the unavailability of certain websites at work, then at home - sorry. However, neither timely payment home internet nor does civil rights and free speech guarantee us unhindered access to all web content. Resources that have entered the register of prohibited in Russia, for example, many popular torrent trackers, are closed from us with seven locks.

Fortunately, blocking sites, even at the provider level, is not a bulwark. No matter how hard Roskomnadzor tries, we will still find the keys to them. Today you will learn how to access a blocked site by everyone available ways without breaking the law.

Anonymizer is an intermediary site (web proxy) between a user and a target resource, designed for anonymous surfing of the network, as well as access to blocked sites.

How anonymizers help bypass blocking: when you open any Internet page, the request is transmitted to the provider's devices, where the site name and IP are checked against blacklists. If the resource is available, the request is sent to the target server and the browser downloads the content. If closed, the provider redirects the user to the stub page. For MTS, it looks like this:

At Beeline - like this:

Other providers have it in their own way, but the essence of the message is the same: access to the site is denied. And the point.

When accessing the same site through the anonymizer network devices provider see only the data of the anonymizer. And since it is not on the black list, nothing limits the loading of the target resource.

Using the anonymizer is very simple:

  • open his page;
  • in the "Open" field, enter the URL of the target site and click the transition button.

Unfortunately, today many popular anonymizers are also blocked. Only the most harmless ones remained - those intended for opening VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Facebook and other similar portals, which are usually not allowed to visit at work. And of those that help unblock the sites of the Roskomnadzor blacklist, the absolute majority has been closed.

At the end of January and beginning of February 2017, the following free anonymizers are available:

  • NoBlockMe - provides alternative access to social networks and LiveJournal.
  • Pingway - for accessing social networks and YoutTube.
  • Anonim.pro - unblocks social networks, YouTube, dating sites, Avito, Tanks online.
  • Anonymouse
  • Anonymizer.ru - for any Internet resources.
  • Guardster is also for everything.

When opening a site through an anonymizer, you may encounter problems:

  • Incomplete loading of content. The page may open without pictures, audio and video, buttons may not be pressed, the menu may not work, etc.
  • Displaying pages in a distorted form - with displacement of blocks, crawling text onto pictures, etc., up to complete unreadability.
  • The inaccessibility of web resources transmitting data via the https protocol.
  • Overly intrusive display of ads - huge banners, pop-ups, constant redirects to other web resources. Possible hidden installation on a computer adware (from the word adware - advertising software) and spyware, with which you will then have to struggle for a long time.

To reduce the likelihood of this, use anonymizers tailored for the content you need, for example, social networks... Or use other methods to bypass the blocking.

"Chips" of browsers

In regular web browsers, there are no special tools that allow you to open blocked sites, but there are options for which this action is "side". In Opera and Yandex Browser, such a tool is Turbo traffic saving mode. So, if you want to speed up the opening of slow-loading pages, you will receive nice bonus as free access for example at Rutrecker.org.

In Opera, the Turbo option is turned on in the main menu.

In Yandex Browser - in the main settings.

In Google Ghrome and Mozilla Firefox mode There is no Turbo, but Google Translate can be useful in them for our purposes. The translated site opens in a separate frame, and access to it is no longer blocked.

If you have never used google translate, we will explain how to do this: insert into the left window Page url to open and select the original language. Even if the page is in Russian, the original should be assigned a foreign one, for example, English language, and the target language is Russian. Then press the button "Translate".

The result of opening Rutrecker.org, as you can see in the screenshot, turns out to be quite decent.

Another way to bypass site blocking is to enter in address bar the browser is not a name, but an IP address, which will help you determine whois services. For example, this one.

Unfortunately, the "tricks" of browsers are not 100% effective: some sites Google does not translate, in Turbo mode they also remain blocked, not only by name, but also by IP.

Special browser extensions

If you are unable to access the site using your own browser tools, you can help solve the problem. third party extension... One of the most popular tools for this purpose is FriGate (the link is given to the Chrome store, but it exists for other browsers).

FriGate encrypts and forwards some of the web browser traffic through own VPN server... This not only restores access to sites when blocked, but also speeds up the connection.

Beyond FriGate similar functions still has a lot free extensions... Here are some of them:

Some of them, after installation, need configuration, for example, creating custom lists of web resources and rules, others have only an on / off button and nothing else. Some extensions provide a choice of 3-4 available proxy servers, others do not. Use what suits you best, since there are many options. At least one will work.

Free VPN clients for Windows and other platforms

The main purpose of a VPN is to create closed communication channels to protect network traffic from leaks and outside access. However, this technology is also used to visit blocked Internet pages. Unlike anonymizers, which redirect a request to one site in the right direction, and browser extensions that pass traffic from one web browser through a proxy, VPN apps sent to closed channel the whole network traffic computer.

Access services to VPN servers through the client program, as a rule, paid (cost $ 1-50 per month, depending on bandwidth channel and availability additional options), but there are several free ones.

Best free VPN client for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and mobile platforms, according to the author, is CyberGhost 6. Here are its most significant advantages in comparison with analogues:

  • No traffic limits. Majority free apps of this format, they limit traffic to about 500 mb per month or for the entire period of use. If you need more, sign up for a paid subscription.
  • Enough high speed connections. The bulk free VPN reduce it to a minimum.
  • Big choice available servers throughout the globe... Many free analogues offer only one server, which is located somewhere in the USA and is constantly overloaded.
  • Several preset profiles for different tasks(only half is available without payment, but it is quite enough for most tasks).
  • Can be used to access any type of web resource. Supports almost all types of traffic: streaming video, online games, social networks and so on, limits p2p.
  • Easy for beginners to learn.
  • Russified.

To get to a closed site using CyberGhost 6, you just need to launch the program and select one of the available profiles.

When you select the anonymous surfing option (yellow tile), you just need to set the browser download mode (normal or incognito) and specify the desired VPN server.

When choosing to unblock basic websites (blue tile), you just need to click on the corresponding icon.

Tor browser), which implements onion routing technology for Internet traffic.

The principle of data transmission Tor networks differs from the usual one in that all transmitted information is repeatedly (layer by layer) encrypted and follows a randomly built chain of proxy servers absolutely anonymously. Neither the intermediate nor the end-node is informed about the originator of the request and the route of the traffic. Each server reads exactly the information that is needed to transfer the packet to the next node (figuratively removes its own layer of onion husks). Such a system provides the user with maximum privacy and makes tracking his traffic, if not impossible, then very difficult.

No method of blocking web resources withstands Tor's onslaught. But only if Tor itself is not closed. Unfortunately, in Kazakhstan and Belarus, many ways of connecting this wonderful instrument are blocked at the state level. In fact, this makes it impossible to use it by the bulk of the inhabitants of these countries.

V Russian Tor is not yet prohibited, and its use does not threaten you with any sanctions.

Opera Turbo is a unique feature from the browser developers to save and encrypt traffic. It involves passing all transmitted data through Opera's servers, where the information is compressed and optimized for subsequent display on the user's equipment. How do I enable and disable this option?

What is Opera Turbo and how the function works

The technology consists in processing information through special automatic proxy servers Opera. Those, in turn, compress it and transmit it to the client's computer in an encrypted format (.owop).

As a rule, you can save the most on:

  • images - they are converted to .jpg and compressed, but without visual loss of quality;
  • text information - the .owop format implies data archiving using the standard .zip protocol;
  • HTML-5 graphics - instead of various graphic modules, the user sees converted static images.

Opera Turbo does not compress scripts, videos, Flash and GIF animations, SVG data, or security protocols, if any, on the site.

Opera Software openly states that the data transmitted through their compressing proxy servers is stored there for about 6 months, but without being tied to a person. A unique identifier is created for each user to improve and further optimize the function, but it is impossible to calculate the owner from it. The development team guarantees anonymity using Opera Turbo and does not disclose information about the countries in which the servers for processing user data are located.

How to enable and disable Turbo mode on a computer

You can enable the mode by clicking the cursor on the corresponding menu item of the Opera browser.

Opera Turbo is regular function browser and is available immediately after installation.

The mode works immediately after installing the browser

If Turbo mode is working correctly, then when you enter any site, a corresponding shortcut is displayed in the Page Information tab.

The indicated shortcut indicates that the function is working correctly.

How to disable Opera Turbo on a computer or laptop:

  1. Open your Opera browser.
  2. Click the "Menu" button at the top left of the window.
  3. Select Opera Turbo.

After deactivating Turbo mode, all pages are loaded in the usual encoding without accessing Opera proxies Software. As a rule, this speeds up the loading of pages, but the traffic consumption increases up to 80%. Therefore, it is recommended to enable the function only with a slow Internet connection, when, for example, surfing through mobile modem or at weak signal Wi-Fi.

It should be understood that when Opera Turbo is enabled for the sites with which the user works, his IP address is replaced with the one used by proxy servers. This is a kind of VPN analogue, it can be used to encrypt data and hide your real IP address.

Opera Turbo does not load pages and does not open sites - what to do

According to the notification from the developers themselves, the Opera Turbo browser does not work if it is enabled in the settings VPN mode... However, a different icon is displayed in the Page Information tab.

With included VPN function Opera Turbo turns off automatically

To use Opera Turbo, you need to go to your browser settings and turn off VPN mode.

Both Opera Turbo and VPN cannot be enabled on the computer at the same time, since each of these options involves the use of a third-party proxy server. Enabling additional nodes when transmitting traffic will only slow down page loading, so this decision was made by the developers.

The mark must be removed, then you can turn on Opera Turbo

Another reason why Opera Turbo does not open sites is that the enabled antivirus prevents the download of all protected traffic by mistake. Often this problem occurs with Windows users 7. If the pages do not open when Turbo mode is active, try to temporarily suspend the anti-virus program. If this helps, contact the developer for further instructions. software for removing malware... In most cases, it is enough to disable the "Scanning encrypted connections" and "Scanning incoming traffic" functions in the antivirus settings.

And last possible case is a malfunction on the Opera Software side. The first step is to update your browser to the new version.

In the "About" menu, you can find out which version of the browser is installed and whether updates are available for it
