How to save traffic with the Opera Turbo feature? Blocking anonymizers Turbo mode does not help bypass blocking.

Where, in particular, the work of anonymizer services was mentioned. Today, when many Internet sites are blocked for Crimean users, when the largest Russian torrent tracker Rutracker is forever blocked throughout Russia, the issue of access to blocked sites is especially relevant for many. Therefore, in this article we will continue the previously discussed topic of how to get to a blocked site, and consider several more different ways to do this. Fortunately, the fact of using methods and tools to bypass the blocking is not yet a violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation.

1. Turbo mode from Opera Software

Users Opera And Yandex.Browser to access blocked sites they can use the standard tool of these two browsers - Turbo mode. Turbo mode is an Internet traffic compression technology patented by the Norwegian company Opera Software, which was introduced back in version 10 of the old Opera on the Presto engine. Turbo mode was created specifically for working in slow Internet conditions. When the Turbo mode is activated, the user's Internet traffic passes through Opera Software servers, where it is compressed - reducing the weight of web page elements, reducing the resolution of pictures, reducing the audio bitrate, accelerating the buffering of streaming video, etc. The stage of passing Internet traffic through Opera Software servers, akin to the work of proxy servers, actually allows you to bypass territorial blocking of sites. Of course, if we are not talking about sites blocked in Norway. You can activate/deactivate Turbo mode in the Opera menu by checking/unchecking the Opera Turbo function.

Turbo mode, with the permission of Opera Software, is built into another well-known browser - Yandex.Browser. Moreover, this browser is even configured by default to automatically turn on Turbo mode in conditions of a slow Internet connection. You can intentionally enable or disable turbo mode in the “Add-ons” section of the browser using the appropriate buttons.

True, the Turbo mode in Yandex Browser is of little use if you use it to gain access to sites blocked in Russia. After all, Internet traffic for the purpose of compression will pass through Yandex servers, also located in Russia.

2. Access only to RuTracker

If we are talking only about access to RuTracker.Org, which is blocked in the Russian Federation, and more, in fact, there is no need to bypass blocking of sites, you can use the “Access to RuTracker” browser extension specially created for access only to this torrent tracker. It provides access only to RuTracker.Org and does not in any way affect other network activity. Extension "Access to RuTracker" supported by Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox, Opera, Yandex Browser browsers, as well as various clones of the first two. At the time of writing this article, an extension is being developed for the Safari browser. By going to the official website of the “Access to RuTracker” extension, link

http://dostup-rutracker.org/

We can select the desired browser and follow a direct link to go to the page for its free installation in the store of the selected browser.

The extension itself is a button on the browser toolbar with the simple task of enabling and disabling access to RuTracker.Org.

3. Browsec browser extension

Access to any blocked site in the browser will help you implement a simple free extension Browsec. This extension was chosen because it is simple, free, lightweight, and versatile. Today, Browsec exists for all popular browsers - Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox, their clones that support extensions from their stores, as well as separately for Opera. You can get the extension on the official Browsec website, link

https://browsec.com/ru/dashboard/main

where the browser used is detected automatically, and the “Install extension” button will lead to the desired page in the store of this browser.

How does Browsec work? After installation, the extension will place its button on the browser toolbar, with which you can enable/disable Internet access through a proxy server. In Chromium browsers (Google Chrome, Opera, Yandex.Browser, Vivaldi, other Chrome clones), the Browsec button will contain a small list of four countries to obtain their IP address in those rare cases when the proxy server may be in the same country as territorially blocked site.

But for Mozilla FireFox and its clones there is no option to select a country for accessing the Internet. The Browsec button simply enables or disables Internet access through a proxy server. For cases of working with significantly limited Windows accounts, where installing third-party browsers is impossible, the creators of Browsec have posted a portable version of Mozilla FireFox with a built-in extension on the official website.

4. FriGate browser extension

Somewhat similar to the previous extension, another extension friGate It is also universal and is provided for Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox, their clones and Opera browsers. This extension can also be installed on its official website using a direct link

https://fri-gate.org/ru/

leading to the friGate page in the store of the selected browser.

And just like the previous Browsec, the friGate extension is free, lightweight, and does not slow down sites when accessed through a proxy server. However, unlike the previous Browsec, friGate independently, using its own list of web resources, determines the availability of a particular site, and when it is not blocked, even when the extension is active, access to such a site will be provided directly. When a site is blocked, the active extension will automatically provide access to it using its own proxy servers. FriGate is enabled using the button on the browser toolbar.

For Chromium browsers, friGate, in a small widget that appears in the upper right corner of the window, offers a slightly larger list of countries for changing the IP address than the previous Browsec extension. But it is impossible to select countries from a convenient list with inscriptions neatly arranged in alphabetical order. If it becomes necessary to access the Internet from the IP address of a specific country, you will need to “click” it by clicking on the flag of the current country. Naturally, provided that the desired country was initially included in the expansion.

The friGate extension works only with those sites that were initially included in its list for automatic IP substitution when the friGate button is enabled. But each user can supplement this list for himself by independently entering the addresses of the necessary sites. To do this, in Chromium browsers you need to open the context menu on the friGate button and click “Options”. In the extension settings section, select “Site list settings”, set a name for your own list, and click the “Add list” button.

In the form field, enter the site address, set it to either the “proxy always on” mode, or select an analytical algorithm, then click the “Add site” button.

With the Mozilla FireFox browser, things are a little simpler. When you click the friGate button on the toolbar, in one drop-down menu we will have access to all the extension’s capabilities. Here, in the friGate menu, you can change the current country of Internet access to another one from among the available ones.

5. Tor Browser

Tor Browser- this is too serious a tool to use it only to visit one or another blocked site from time to time. For such purposes, anonymizer services and the methods discussed above for bypassing site blocking are more suitable. The Tor browser is mainly a tool for anonymous access to the Internet and reliable data transfer. Tor is a whole system of proxy servers around the world, which randomly form a chain of encryption and sending user data. Due to the most reliable encryption and data redirection scheme, the Tor browser works quite slowly, although in the latest versions the creators of the project have tried to speed up its work. It is advisable to use the Tor browser as a means to access blocked sites in addition to its main use - anonymous web surfing.

The Tor browser is a gecko, i.e., built on the Gecko engine - the Mozilla FireFox engine. What distinguishes Tor from the latter is, in fact, the Tor system add-on and preset settings for maximum anonymity. You can download the browser on the official website of the Tor project, link

https://www.torproject.org/download/download-easy.html.en

having previously selected the Russian interface language.

Tor only works in a portable version. After unpacking the files into the specified folder, we will see a preliminary window that starts the process of connecting to the Tor system network. In most cases, what you need to do is click the “Connect” button.

Once launched, the Tor browser will be ready for anonymous web surfing. A link is available on its home page to check your current Tor network settings.

The new window will indicate the bandwidth of the current proxy server, its continuous operation time, and country.

Returning to the browser home page and clicking the Tor button, we will see the entire current chain of proxy servers that will participate in data transfer during this session. To change the country in which you access the Internet, and with it the chain of proxy servers for sending data, by clicking the Tor button, you must select the “New Identity” item.

Countries of access to the Internet, chains of proxy servers - the user receives all this automatically in a random order. As befits a browser for anonymous web surfing, Tor does not keep a log of visits, does not store cache, cookies, logins and passwords, and does not remember the session.

6. Epic Privacy Browser

Epic Privacy Browser– another browser designed for anonymous web surfing and nothing else. Just like the Tor browser, it does not store history, cache, cookies, logins and passwords, and does not remember the session. Epic Privacy Browser is a Chromium browser from which the mechanisms for obtaining user data and their actions have been removed. The browser by default redirects user requests through its proxy server. But for greater security, you can build a data sending chain using two proxy servers, using one more additional node. The second proxy server is enabled manually using the button at the end of the browser address bar. This proxy server is located in the USA, and, accordingly, it can also be used to access any sites blocked in other countries of the world.

Epic Privacy Browser can be downloaded for free from its official website https://epicbrowser.com

7. Proxy Switcher program

Windows desktop programs for changing IP addresses are an old way to access blocked sites. However, many people still use it, probably not knowing about the possibility of installing extensions in browsers. Like the latter, desktop programs for changing IP in most cases in free editions do not provide more functionality than replacing a real IP with a false one. And if the choice of a country for accessing the Internet is provided, then, as a rule, this is either a limited list of countries, as is the case with browser extensions, or even an option available only in paid editions. Among such programs are Real Hide IP, Auto Hide IP, Hide IP Easy and their numerous analogues. However, to access blocked sites in Russia, you don’t need more, because at least the programs mentioned work with proxy servers located in the USA, Canada and Europe.

But if the issue is access to a site that is open only to the user audience of a specific country, then the ability to select the IP address of this very country would be very useful. From the mass of programs for changing the IP address Proxy Switcher It stands out by the ability to choose the country of the proxy server and the unlimited breadth of the list of available countries. True, Proxy Switcher's breadth of scope comes at a price. While many browser extensions and desktop programs work with their own proxy servers, guaranteeing their functionality to the user, Proxy Switcher uses public free proxy servers around the world in its work. In this case, scanning and testing them for performance is the responsibility of the user. It sounds very serious, but don’t be afraid, in reality everything is quite simple.

Proxy Switcher, even in the basic Standard edition, is a paid program, but it has a fully functional 15-day trial version. It can be downloaded from the official website Proxy Switcher, link

http://www.proxyswitcher.com

Like many programs for changing IP, Proxy Switcher in the official version does not have a Russian-language interface.

At the end of the standard Proxy Switcher installation process, uncheck all unnecessary checkboxes except the last one, which launches the program. If you are using Mozilla FireFox, you must also check the penultimate checkbox to view instructions for setting up this browser to work with the program. For Chromium browsers, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge, you don't need to browse anything.

Directly in the program window, switch to the folder in the tree structure on the left “New” and use the button indicated in the screenshot to start the process of scanning (detecting) proxy servers all over the world.

You don't have to wait for the scan to complete to use the ability to choose almost any country to access the Internet. In a few seconds we can build a list of detected proxy servers by country in alphabetical order. This will allow you to find the desired country and use its spelling (as it is listed in the Proxy Switcher database) for filtering when scanning.

Stop scanning all proxy servers in a row with the cross button, as shown in the screenshot, and enter the name of the desired country in the filter field in the upper right corner of the program window. Next, we start the scan again, as we did at the initial stage, but in the scan results we will see only the proxy servers of this particular country.

Without waiting for the scanning to complete (if an impressive number of proxy servers have already been detected), select all found proxy servers using the standard Windows key combination Ctrl+A, and then press the test button, as indicated in the screenshot.

During the testing process, non-working proxies will be eliminated, and working ones will be moved to the “Basic Anonymity” folder. There is no need to wait for testing to complete; it will take place in the background. We can switch to the folder in the tree structure on the left “Basic Anonymity” and connect to working proxy servers. The connection is made by double clicking on the selected proxy server. In the same way, double-clicking reconnects to other proxy servers from the list and disconnects from the current one. You can also use the connect and disconnect buttons on the Proxy Switcher toolbar. To avoid connecting to a slow proxy server, you can build a list according to the “Response” criterion - the response speed of the proxy server - and select the one with the lowest indicator.

Nowadays, there are more and more restrictions on the Internet. They concern both the content of some resources and the sites themselves. To ensure that the ban on visiting certain sites does not come as a surprise to you, you need to be properly prepared.

Below we offer you 6 methods to bypass the blocking in case JoyCasino also falls under censorship.

Installation process

Once the download process is complete, the installation process will automatically begin. You will learn about this from the corresponding window, in which you should click “Run”.

If this does not happen, you will need to run the installation yourself. In the folder with the downloaded file torbowser-install-2.5.4_ru.exe, find a shortcut with an image of an onion. This is your file.

Launch the program by double-clicking on the shortcut.

Here is the language menu.

Select “Russian” and click “OK”.

The program installs quite quickly.

When finished, put a checkpoint next to “Launch Tor Browser Bundle” and click “Finish”.

A special FireFox browser should open in front of you.

Thanks to him, all blockages will be a thing of the past.

A proxy server is usually needed by users to gain anonymity and change their real IP address. Anyone who uses Yandex.Browser can easily set up a proxy and continue working on the Internet under different data. And if data substitution is not a frequent occurrence, then you may inadvertently forget how to disable the configured proxy.

Depending on how the proxy was enabled, the method for disabling it will be selected. If the IP address was initially registered in Windows, then you will need to change the network settings. If the proxy was activated through an installed extension, you will need to disable or remove it. The enabled Turbo mode is also in some way a proxy, and it needs to be disabled in order to avoid possible inconveniences when working on the network.

Browser settings

If the proxy was enabled through a browser or through Windows, then you can disable it in exactly the same way.

After this, the proxy server will stop working and you will use your real IP again. If you no longer want to use the established address, then first delete the data, and only then uncheck the box.

Disabling extensions

Users often install anonymizer extensions. If there are difficulties with disabling, for example, you cannot find a button to disable the extension or the anonymizer icon is not on the browser panel at all, then you can disable it through the settings.

Please note that this block only appears when the VPN extension is enabled. The button itself does not disable the proxy connection, but the operation of the entire add-on! To reactivate it, you need to go to Menu> " Add-ons» and enable a previously disabled extension.

Disabling Turbo

We have already told you how this mode works in Yandex Browser.

In short, it can also work as a VPN, since page compression occurs on third-party servers provided by Yandex. In this case, the user who has enabled Turbo mode inevitably becomes a proxy user. Of course, this option doesn’t work the same way as anonymizer extensions, but sometimes it can also ruin your online experience.

Disabling this mode is very simple - click on Menu and select “ Turn off turbo»:

If Turbo is activated automatically as soon as the Internet connection speed drops, then change this item in the browser settings.

Browsers with Turbo function

The Turbo function was originally created for Opera browsers to speed up page loading on a slow connection. Subsequently, it turned out that this technology helps to circumvent some restrictions. After you enter the site address in such a browser, the information from it is not sent to you, but is transferred to intermediary servers, where the data is compressed and from there it gets to your computer. Therefore, the provider believes that you are currently on the servers of the browser developer, and are not reading an article about five-leaf smoking plants or visiting Rutracker. The Turbo function is available in the Opera and Yandex Browser browsers. By the way, you can install Yandex Browser even on your work computer, since you don’t need administrator rights for this. This method allows you to view portals included in the Roskomnadzor register and sites blocked at work (but not always, depending on the blocking methods). Tor technology was developed by none other than the US Navy Research Laboratory in order to leave no traces in enemy logs and securely transmit military secrets over networks. In 2002, it was officially declassified, and independent developers adapted it for ordinary users and made it available for free use. When you launch the Tor browser, an anonymous network connection is created based on “onion routing”. The military still uses Tor to obtain information from open sources. In addition, it has become one of the most popular ways to break through the Great Firewall of China. Chinese dissidents know a lot about anonymity! In addition to the Tor system, the Hotspot Shield program is very popular among the Chinese. When you launch it, an encrypted connection is created, and your computer is assigned a temporary IP address of some civilized country. This allows access to sites closed to Russia, such as http://www.netflix.com or http://www.zappos.com.

Anonymizers

This is the easiest way to view a blocked site. To do this, just enter his address on the anonymizer website. The method has a number of disadvantages: slow speed, payment for disabling advertising, inability to log in “inside” the opened site (it’s unlikely to be possible to watch a VKontakte video). In fact, the method is only good for visiting simple static pages. But it’s worth remembering: you may need it in the near future to read Lolita or download Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Some popular anonymizer sites: http://www.hidemyass.com http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.html http://www.guardster.com/free/ http://www.anonymizer.ru Note to the user : Google Translator can also act as an anonymizer. Paste the URL into it, and along with the translation of the page, you will also have access to its original.

Hi all! I’m in touch with you again, Alexey. In this short post you will learn how to access a site blocked by Roskomnadzor. Quite interesting isn't it? You've probably come across resources on the Internet that you couldn't open.

Sometimes it happens that some resource becomes inaccessible on the Internet by decision of Roskomnadzor. And as a result, you cannot load the site because it is blocked by your ISP. For example, the same torrent tracker rutracker.org was blocked at the request of copyright holders. That was a year ago and to this day he remains blocked in Russia. You can check it yourself. This is what it looks like:

In general, after reading this article, you will be able to access absolutely any site. It also happens that some foreign resources are limited in access to visitors from other countries. Or, for example, you are abroad, and you need to open your favorite website that is not available.

So how can you learn to open blocked sites? There is more than one way. Although the principle is the same, but in a different execution. Now I’ll tell you everything, read on.

What is the principle?

As I already said, the principle is the same, but the execution is different. In order to download a blocked resource, you must be in another country. Who would move for such a trifle? Nobody. This is why, and not only why, there are so-called intermediaries. That is, this is a computer that will be located in another country and that will be able to transmit its traffic to us. They are called proxy servers. There is also VPN networks. All this can be paid or free. Actually, this way we will get access to any site. This is the principle - to use an intermediary between the user and the Internet.

A proxy allows several computers to access the Internet through one, which is actually a proxy server. That is, you can set up a local network at home or at work by connecting several computers, one of which will have Internet access. Special software is required for implementation. I won't go into details. I just wanted you to know about this. Additional information about the essence of a proxy, so to speak.

With VPN networks it’s a little different. This is a completely different technology, but nevertheless it will be an intermediary. You will enter a private network and exit into a global one

Turbo mode in Opera and Yandex Browser

The easiest way to open a blocked resource is to turn on turbo mode. In normal mode, the browser acts directly and immediately contacts the server of the site you need. If the turbo mode function is enabled, then your web browser accesses the Opera or Yandex Browser servers. Depending on what you are using. The server accepts the request and “goes” to load the web page for you. After downloading, it transfers it to you. This is how it works somehow. In addition to this feature, the servers will compress the traffic transmitted to you. Actually, this is the main purpose of this opportunity. It's not called "Turbo" for nothing

True, this does not always work if you are going to load sites through the Yandex browser. This is all due to the fact that some Yandex servers are located in Russia. Therefore, such a trick may not work. But you can always add an add-on and not think about it. By the way, since I started talking about extensions, I suggest you read the post here. There I talked about add-ons for Yandex Browser.

How to enable turbo mode in Opera: Click on "Menu" in the top left corner of the screen and select "Opera Turbo".

How to enable turbo mode in Yandex Browser: Enter the line in the URL - browser://settings and go down to the very end without opening “Advanced options”. Check the "Always" box. Or go to the link browser://tune and activate the mode.

Special browser extensions

There are special extensions that help you change your IP address. When enabled, the web browser accesses the site server through a proxy. I have provided examples of extensions below.

  • For Firefox: anonymoX
  • For Opera: ZenMate VPN
  • For Yandex Browser and Chrome: FriGate

FriGate is already in the list of add-ons in the Yandex web browser. You just need to activate it. Go to the address browser://tune and turn it on.

For Chrome or Yandex Browser users, I suggest using an extension that will help save traffic and access blocked sites in one go. Google Developer. You can download it here. The truth is that it doesn’t work with HTTPS requests.

Special browser versions

I never use this option. Somehow it didn’t stick. Such browsers immediately work through several proxy servers, thereby helping to maintain deeper anonymity on the network and provide access to all resources on the Internet. I would like to note that when using such web browsers, sites load much slower. It’s either anonymity and access to resources, or speed. We'll have to prioritize

Here is one of them - Tor Browser. There is also Globus. Which one to download is up to you. Both are similar to Chrome in terms of interface. However, I recommend the first option.

Web anonymizers

Web anonymizers are an Internet resource with an input form. Everything is simple here. You need to enter the url of the resource you want to open. Great for occasional use. The Internet is full of them and easy to find. Personally, I use hideme.ru. Through the site you can access any others in an anonymous state.

There is another good anonymizer, called chameleon. I suggest you try it. Here he is .

Online text translators

With the help of such services, you can open a blocked site once or twice, and also get a translation. I use Google Translate. Haven't let you down yet! Just copy the link into the first form for translation, an active link will appear in the second form that you can click on. Click and enjoy bypassing site blocking

Computer programs

Yes... There are also programs that will help solve this problem. In addition to the web anonymizer, hideme.ru contains a program that you can freely download and install on any operating system. That is, even on your phone with Android or iOS (iphone). You can try the full functionality for free for just one day. Then you have to pay.

For those who don’t want to pay, I suggest you cheat! You are given a unique key that is linked to your E-mail address. In the free version, it is valid for 24 hours. You can get a new one by entering a different E-mail. Everything is logical. Yes, but registering E-mail addresses every time is not so much fun. Therefore, you can find mail for 10 minutes. Search the Internet. Or do as I did, create a new mailing address in an existing one. This function is available in mail.ru, but also in yandex.ru, it seems. In gmail, I don’t know how. For mail.ru you need to go to your mail settings and you will see it there at the very end. Here's the link if you need it.

Proxy Switcher

In principle, a normal program. It just finds a bunch of servers that you can connect to. One thing worries me. I don't know where all these servers come from, honestly. Perhaps they just have a database that is being edited. Don't know. But the program is shareware and many people mention it, so that gives me a little confidence.

Proxifier

A simple proxy client. To use it, you need to know the IP address, port and version of the proxy server in order to configure it. To find all this, you can use the Internet and find free proxy sheets.

Hide IP Easy

Another program that will hide your ip. You will be able to open blocked sites, depending on the country you choose, and remain anonymous. True, it's paid

Underwater rocks

I decided to talk about them last. I won’t rant too much. Briefly and clearly. If you have any questions, write in the comments.

In general, the danger lies in free proxy servers. If it belongs to an attacker, then you may regret it. But what could possibly happen? The thing is that traffic will pass through his server, thereby giving him the opportunity to delve into it. Let's say you logged into the site by entering your username and password. There is a possibility that an attacker will be able to dig them up. By the way, this is what they do when distributing wi-fi, in a cafe, for example. As a result, he will receive the login information, and then you cry bitterly

So it goes. But not always free means bad. Although, of course, it is better to use a paid one, knowing this information. Or carefully choose proxy servers to avoid such situations.

Conclusion

In order to be able to access a blocked resource on the Internet, an intermediary is needed. A computer that is located behind a hill. In order to use it, you need special programs or extensions. I wrote about all this above.

Moreover, VPN and proxy servers help you remain anonymous on the Internet, which reduces the risk of attacks on your computer or mobile device. Unless, of course, you connected to the attacker’s server.

That's all, dear friends! If you have questions, be sure to write in the comments. I also suggest to my blog so as not to miss new posts. See you later!
