How to save money on mobile communications. Secret tariffs for their

In this article, we will look at how to save money on mobile communications. In my opinion, this is very important, because everyone has a mobile phone. Life is constantly accelerating, and we can no longer imagine our day without calls, SMS or mobile Internet. The average family has at least 4 people, and if we know how to cut cell phone costs, then the savings family budget the sum will be quite tangible.

How to cut mobile phone costs

Disable everything unnecessary services on your own mobile device. To check what exactly money is being withdrawn from you, go to your personal account of Megafon, Beeline or MTS and make a request for all expenses on the account for the month. If you don’t know how to enter your personal account, then simply type in any search engine, for example, “Megafon Personal Account”, on the operator’s website you will need to enter your phone number and password (if you have never entered your personal account, then make a request, and the password from the cabinet will be sent to you by SMS). You will be amazed at how many useless subscriptions there are, many of which you do not even remember when you agreed. It often happens that some service, for example, a melody instead of beeps, works for free for the first month. And then you definitely had to unsubscribe from it manually, and you naturally did not pay attention to this item when you agreed to the subscription. And it happens that you just clicked in the wrong place, and as a result, you became the proud owner of a super-useful forecast of your zodiac sign for 5 rubles a day.

IN personal account view all current rates offered by the mobile operator. Perhaps there are new profitable offer. This is especially true if you have not changed your tariff for a long time (in this case, be sure that you are significantly overpaying, because the operator thinks that you do not really keep track of your balance, so it is not at all necessary for you to make discounts, and You are willing to pay anyway). Moreover, to change the tariff now you need to make only a couple of mouse clicks in your personal account.

Surely, you have numbers that you call more often than others. Just transfer them to the “Favorites” category (again in your personal account), and you can save significant money.

Check in your personal account for the presence of accumulated bonuses (yes, yes, there are bonuses there, they are awarded for each account replenishment and use of the services of a mobile operator). They can be exchanged for free minutes conversation or SMS, or top up your phone balance with them.

Connect to unlimited mobile Internet (it's inexpensive now) and enjoy all the benefits of Internet applications.

How to save on calls using personal computers and Skype programs at the very least everyone already knows. And here's how to save money with the help of special programs on mobile communications, few have heard.

There are such popular services like Whatsapp and Viber ("Watsap" and "Viber"). FROM whatsapp you can send for free text messages, as well as share pictures and audio files. Viber also allows you to make calls for free. In addition, you can install Viber on Personal Computer and, thus, call from a computer to a mobile.

How to start using Whatsapp and Viber

you download the corresponding mobile app
(from official websites whatsapp.com , viber.com, or with store.apple.com And play.google.com);

Install on your smartphone (it must have an operating android system or BlackBerry or IOS or Windows phone). Installation is carried out according to the principle "further-further-further";

Enjoy using it :)

In other words, these programs allow you to save significant money on mobile communications, because. You pay only for the Internet (conditionally, on average, this is 3-5 rubles per day, while 1 minute of calls at regular rates costs a little less). Moreover, the Internet traffic is very low, so we can assume that you do not spend anything at all.

The benefits are especially felt if you communicate with someone from another city or country. However, please note that mobile Internet is extremely expensive in roaming, so take care of a place with free Wi-Fi.

Whatsapp and Viber also have an intuitive interface, so you don't need to go through any specialized training. I also note that these programs are quite economical in using your battery power, i. You won't even feel any change.

True, in order to use such convenient programs, they must be installed not only for you, but also for those with whom you want to communicate. Therefore, invite your friends to save together, tell them how to reduce mobile communication costs using Whatsapp and Viber.

How to save a lot of money on mobile communications? How to significantly reduce the cost of a minute of conversation and SMS, how to significantly reduce mobile Internet traffic, how to talk and use the Internet as much as you want? Today's podcast is about this and much more.

The mobile phone has become an integral part of our lives, without which it is simply impossible to imagine its existence. With the help of the phone, we communicate, buy, make banking transactions, move in space (navigators), find out any information on the go and do a million more things. Over time, mobile communications become cheaper and cheaper (I say this as a person who started using mobile phones in the early 2000s))).

However, you can save on mobile communications significant money in the context of the year.

Check your rate

Fares change frequently. And life circumstances too. Once every 6-12 months, call the operator and find out if they can offer you a better rate, given your situation (maybe 95% of your calls are made within one operator and one family and you will be offered family rate; maybe you don’t use mobile Internet much and you will be given a tariff without it; maybe most of your calls are incoming, etc.). Give up everything you don't need.

Learn about package deals

As a rule, "package" offers are always cheaper than a set of separately connected services. Find out what is included in certain packages, perhaps they include everything you need (the number of minutes you need, internet, etc.)

Find out about family packages

Often, operators provide offers where you can connect one or more numbers of the people closest to you (parents, children, spouse) and use a reduced rate when communicating with them. Such a package/tariff/service will allow several numbers with different tariff plans to share packages of minutes, SMS and mobile Internet, drawing them from one number on the tariff.

Use instant messengers for international and long-distance calls

For several years now I have not made phone calls to other cities. It happened before. Now you can perfectly make audio and video calls via whatsapp, facebook, skype, etc. If you make such a call by connecting to wifi, then such a call will be free for you, even if you are calling to Australia.

This is a great salvation for our grandparents, who can't talk enough with their granddaughters))

Download files, videos, live and other "heavy" content, only by joining wifi (wifi)

Now, in big cities, wifi is available almost everywhere: in cafes, in institutions, in transport, in taxis and even on the streets free wifi points. Make it a rule to download bulk content only when wifi is connected and follow it.

By the way, it's cool that in many countries "wifi" is pronounced like "wifi" 😂

Turn off roaming and mobile data when you are roaming.

I remember at work, more than once I witnessed how people, sometimes without their knowledge (data transfer was not turned off), wrote off thousands of dollars for "using" the phone in roaming.

Restrict mobile usage for some apps

For example, you may decide that you want to always be online for mail and instant messengers, and use all other programs only when you are connected to wifi. This will significantly reduce your Internet traffic, because. in addition to the fact that you will not “download” it, applications in background. This is done in the phone settings.

Find out the conditions from other operators

Now you can change the operator, keeping your number. Use this if your carrier's competitors offer you significantly best rate. Or in order to get the best conditions from your operator.

Buy local SIM cards while traveling

At the same time, you will always be available in messengers, and the same whatsapp remains tied to your Russian number. To the point:

Call and check paid subscriptions

A variety of fraudulent (and not fraudulent) services can connect to your number and charge, for example, 1-2-6-10-30 rubles per day. Often such charges can be invisible to the subscriber for many months or even years. Call the operator and find out a special combination of numbers and characters in order to regularly learn about the services connected to your number on your own. Naturally, immediately block them (through the operator) as soon as they are discovered.

Call from a landline

Because outgoing calls are not free, you can call the most frequent numbers (parents, husband, wife, children, close friends) with landline phone, if it is available to you (for example, you work in an office and a phone with access to the city line is on your desk). This method will easily save you many hundreds or even thousands))) of outgoing minutes per month.

Control your expenses

Now this can be done as easy as shelling pears, through the operator's mobile application. View the details of your expenses by month, see when there were peak expenses and analyze why. Draw conclusions and try to get rid of spending options.

A good idea comes later!)

After recording the video, I got the idea of another mega way to save money on mobile! This is the use of protective cases (covers) and films (glasses) on the screen. If, like me, you regularly drop your phone, then this expense (for a case and a film) will save you a lot of money, really. replacing only one screen can easily cost 50-100-150 dollars!

Conclusion

As you can see, there are many ways to save on mobile communications. In the context of the year, you can save significant money. And, as you can see, all you need to do is periodically monitor your tariff, connected services and subscriptions, as well as learn how to correctly use your phone when wifi is connected.

The secret way to save money on your mobile from Timur Mazaev 🙂

My family and I live for a long time in different countries- in most cases, for us, this is savings compared to St. Petersburg (housing, food, cars, expenses for children, etc.). In other countries, we use local SIM cards, thereby cutting off hundreds of calls and thousands of minutes of conversations a month that we have when we return to our beloved St. Petersburg)). We use local SIM cards, usually for mobile internet. And all calls are made only through instant messengers - for free! For our family, the savings on mobile communications and the Internet is more than $50 per month.

Such a model, of course, requires passive income, and it is formed over many years, by investing saved and set aside money in profitable instruments!

In 10-15 years, I turn these savings on mobile phone $50 per month - in an annual income of about $2,000 (!!!), using force! In 20 years it will be about $4,000 in annual income, and in 25 years it will be about $6,500! Not a bad addition to your pension, isn't it?! And it saves only on mobile communications!

It is clear that tariffs will change in 5-10 years and all that, but this is just an example of the great power of small steps to make it clear that saving even $ 10 a month can bring you significant passive income in the near future!

Virtual telecom operators. Prices for virtual telecom operators may be lower, as they use existing infrastructure another operator, but sell services under their own brand. This allows the virtual operator to eliminate the huge capital investment required to build and maintain its own network.

Connect a package of services from one company. When choosing a mobile operator, look at what types of services it offers: Internet, television, home phone. If you use them, then you should think about the service package. Savings can reach up to 40% of the amount that you pay for each service separately.

Bonus programs. Always register with bonus programs. With their help, you can save up to 4 thousand rubles a year.

Participate in promotions. Visit the company's website more often or subscribe to their accounts on social networks. Keep track of promotions. As a rule, they are seasonal: summer, New Year, September 1. With promotions, you can profitably connect services and fix the price for several years without changing the cost.

Shevtsova:

Well, we just heard a little help on how to save money on mobile communications. But everyone has their own way. On-air phone number: 8-800-200-97-02. Tell me too. Well, the Internet, by the way, is also connected, as a rule, it happens to mobile communications. And, it seems to me, well, only the lazy one does not use it now, mobile internet. Motorists do this all the time. Yes, we look at traffic jams, we look at various needs along the way. There, we have virtual cards, all sorts of conversations. Therefore, it seems to me that this is indeed such a serious expense item. Tell me how you save. On-air phone number: 8-800-200-97-02. By the way, there is some kind of association, yes, such a symbiosis of mobile and fixed services also brings considerable benefits, makes our life easier. For example, MGTS offers unlimited and free calls to mobile and landline numbers. MGTS and MTS in Moscow. This works both in Moscow and in the Moscow region, you just need to study package offer. There is such an option. In general, it is very convenient when a family has one operator. Although I say so, but I myself do not act, I just advise it. Yes, we have different operators. In principle, I can go with my number. But, apparently, somehow my arms and legs have not yet reached. On-air phone number: 8-800-200-97-02.

Well, while you are collecting your thoughts, I suggest you hear one more reference. Because in fact there is such an interesting, such a term. Maybe not everyone understands what it is. Virtual mobile operator. So, maybe, I don’t even know, our sound engineer knows what it is, or not, so I propose right now to tell him and find out for yourself.

Help on Radio " TVNZ"

Virtual mobile operators - companies that provide services cellular communication under their own brand, but do not own the necessary infrastructure. As a result, these companies use technical means other operators. Virtual operators buy traffic in bulk, and sell it at retail, more expensive, thus earning on the difference. Due to lower costs, they provide subscribers with more attractive tariff plans. Mobile virtual operators focus on large companies who offer specially designed packages of services. Among their clients are airlines, chain stores, manufacturers household appliances, oil, energy corporations and others. The market of virtual operators is developed very widely. According to analysts, there are 81 operators in the US, 66 in the Netherlands, 54 in Germany, 44 in the UK, and 41 in France. In Russia, the virtual operator market is represented by only a few teams. Their services are used by about 800 thousand subscribers.

Shevtsova:

So, the on-air phone number: 8-800-200-97-02. How do you save on mobile communications? What are your secret ways? By the way, do you control your children, your loved ones, especially if they are elderly people? Because it is very easy to deceive older people, they are absolutely not advanced people in this regard, they do not understand some things, sometimes you just need to come to them and connect everything. We have Andrew in touch. Andrey, hello.

Hello.

Shevtsova:

Hello Andrey. How much do you spend on mobile communications per month? Here at you personally, at one?

Well, somewhere around 500-600 rubles.

Shevtsova:

Listen, well, you're just like that, you know, modestly. And how do you manage to fit into such a sum?

I use different applications, which ... I call via mobile Internet.

Shevtsova:

Applications? Do you use the Internet when you are outside the Wi-Fi zone, so to speak?

Yes of course. Basically, this is what I use.

Shevtsova:

That is, you get 500-600 rubles a month. Well, listen, you are just such a happy person. You have so little.

Well, yes, yes. I also have a certain number of minutes throughout Russia included in the package. That's why I keep an eye on it, so that ... and I change the tariffs, if something more profitable appears there, I immediately switch to another tariff.

Shevtsova:

How often do you change rates?

Well, about once every six months. If there is something interesting there.

Shevtsova:

Listen, but abroad, for example, do you use the Internet? Because I stopped, it's too expensive for me. But maybe I just don't know all the subtleties and all the discounts and bonuses.

But there is ... I use bonuses that allow, for example, to get at least 100 megabytes abroad for free. And use them on the same mobile Internet.

Shevtsova:

Thanks a lot. Well, 50-600 rubles, it seems to me, is quite an acceptable amount. I remember that when I saw that I was losing three thousand! And, you know, I'm lazy. In this regard, I am a completely stupid person. I am sometimes too lazy to go to the website of my provider, see what is there, how it is, what ... I use some outdated package. And it's uncomfortable. But now I've started rethinking it. Because when, again, in a family, there are three adults, well, relative to adults, our children also, in general, use both the phone quite actively and the Internet. Therefore, it turns out, you know, such a decent item of expenditure.

Well, it’s better, of course, to talk about the economy clearly enough. Yes, to be clear. Here is an ordinary Muscovite, average, about home Internet, for mobile communications, for a landline phone spends about 3 thousand rubles. Well, 2-3 thousand rubles. That's about the same amount. And if, they say, you take services in a package from one operator, then you can save up to 40% and meet even a thousand rubles. This, it turns out, is such a thing. Faith, hello.

Good afternoon. I am calling you from Moscow. But I now use the services, in principle, almost all of them I have SIM cards, all mobile operators. And MegaFon, and MTS, and MGTS. But in fact, I use MTS more often. Why? Because it's very convenient. Firstly, as far as I know, they are here together with MGTS, so they have some kind of connection. And it is very convenient that it is actually free of charge for landline calls. And "Beeline" - I also use it due to the fact that we have most of our relatives, there we call each other, so to speak, also for free.

Shevtsova:

Why do you need different SIM cards? Here I'm just curious. You have such a secret personal life, sorry?

No, and everyone knows all three numbers. But for some reason it is convenient for someone, for example, he found himself, called, offered a favorable tariff, for example, on Megafon. Without changing the number, he switches to Megafon, and then he knows that I have a Megafon number. And the same thing, he calls me. Of course, it would be more convenient if some general tariff plan so that I can somehow choose, you know, go to the site, pick up options for myself. And here's what to use. But, unfortunately, one operator of options is not enough for me in one plan. Here you have to jump.

Shevtsova:

Understandable, understandable. Thanks a lot, Vera. A message came from Sergei from Moscow: “I have package rate- minutes, SMS, Internet. 400 rubles per month. Plus unlimited internet traffic - 7 rubles per day. I connected a home phone at a virtual operator - 300 rubles per month. And MGTS has 500 rubles a month.” Sergei from Moscow. Well, listen, you need to count, of course. Fortunately, we now have a choice and there is a detailed price breakdown, as a rule. And there are no problems. You just need to connect, so to speak, brains, yes, and calculate the whole thing.

Well, I remind you that we had a section "Useful connections". You can call us, you can write to us, even if the broadcast is over. 8-967-200-97-02. This is our whatsapp number. This concludes the Moscow Windows program for today. We will meet with you, as always, tomorrow at 11 am on Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda. Be with us.

Under New Year want to start life clean slate. December is already coming to an end, and with it, our special project with the developers is really useful application. The final selection of stories today is dedicated to real results. To those readers who installed the program, used it for its intended purpose and achieved their goal: they saved money on communications. And not only on it. Someone has managed win iPhone 6 ;)

Serious benefits with multiple SIM cards

The first mini-story is from our reader under the nickname DEUS. The story is short but effective. The savings per year are really considerable: if it weren’t for the jumping exchange rate, this money could buy new iPad! Here's what it means to choose the right favorable rates. Bravo for cost optimization!

Out of habit, it will be difficult to describe exactly how this application helped me save money. But I'll try. After, I decided to put the program on the phone. Earlier it was necessary to spend from 700 to 1100 rubles monthly for communication services. Considering that I have 2 phones and a tablet, as a result, a considerable amount of money was obtained. About 2500 - 2800 rubles a month for everything. Even if we exclude the tablet from here, it turned out 2000-2300 rubles. After doing a little analysis of all the tariff plans of my telecom operators, I picked up really great tariffs.

This is what my cell phone bills looked like without Dr. Tariff:

  • phone Megaphone: 1100 rubles;
  • Beeline phone: 800 rubles;
  • Beeline tablet: 600 rubles.

Total: 2500 rubles

And here are the costs along with the application:

  • phone Megaphone: 450 rubles;
  • Beeline phone: 300 rubles;
  • Beeline tablet: 299 rubles.

Total: 1049 rubles.

Wow difference! And now the overall result...

Saving– 1451 rubles per month or 17412 rubles per year!

I express my gratitude to the developers of this wonderful and useful program working properly. I would also like to know where I should write about a small improvement of the application. I have a number of ideas that I think would fit well in Dr. Tariff!

How I not only saved, but also earned on the operator

Saving is great. But earnings are generally gorgeous! If only the methods were honest ... Alexander told us how he deployed a whole network of recruiting subscribers into the ranks of the "green" operator for his own profit.

Alexander:

Almost ten years ago, in 2005, I worked in Svyaznoy. I knew all the tariffs of all operators by heart, but even so it was extremely difficult to find very profitable option. I have been using O'light (Megaphone) since 2003. Long time it remained the No. 1 hit of all. Not released into circulation a large number of cards and they sold out pretty quickly.

Later, Megafon continued to issue attractive short-term rates. Some part was bought up by store employees and went to the markets, where it was sold at a very high price, since otherwise it was impossible to find such favorable service conditions. Therefore, in those days, many saved money like this: they bought, for example, Jeans (MTS), which cost $ 5, and there were $ 10 on the account. They spoke out all the money and threw out the SIM card, replacing it with a new one. For store employees, Megafon had a tariff - I don’t remember what it’s called ... So the payment system there was as follows: when selling any non-contractual tariff, there was a card in the envelope for the store employee, on which there was money - and which could be activated as a reward from the sale.

Most sellers sat on this tariff, never paying their money for communication. But one day a contract called "Friendly" (Megaphone) appeared, which was sold to employees for 300 rubles, and there were $60 on the account. Naturally, many began to buy it, pronounce all the money and throw out the SIM card. And then it became interesting to me: is it possible to terminate the contract and get the money - those sixty bucks that are on the account? I called Megafon and everything was confirmed.

With a sly smile on his face, he began to buy these contracts. The only nuance was the inability to connect more than four contracts for one facial number, that is, only 4 cards could be registered per person. I went to Megafon and terminated the contracts due to allegedly not confident reception, and ten days later I came and received $ 240. Yes, $240 for 900 rubles! At that rate it was about seven thousand rubles. I drove so slowly. Every ten days - to different Megafon offices, so as not to arouse suspicion. But there were only four...

For a percentage, he began to attract friends, making out numbers on them. This whole system worked for several months, until they stopped selling this contract for three hundred. Probably, I was not the only one who turned out to be so smart, because the people who took these contracts numbered dozens of people ... As a result, for all this time it turned out many, many thousands of rubles: I paid off my connection for many years to come :)

Time passed, he worked in a different field and completely ceased to be interested in tariffs. enjoyed my O'light, occasionally glancing: was there something cheaper or more profitable? Dreams appeared: maybe one day they will call me and say: they say, dude, you have been using our network for a long time, and we have prepared for you special offer! Imagine my surprise when that day arrived.

They called me from Megafon and told me about my communication costs. According to their statistics, I spent about 1300-1600 rubles a month. The All Inclusive L tariff was offered at a discount of three hundred rubles. Not bad, I thought: three thousand minutes a month, ten gigabytes of Internet and some unlimited amount of SMS - all this costing 1500 rubles was offered for 1200. Connect! - told them. Began to use.

After reading an article on website about, I decided to use this program. It’s convenient, because for a long time I wanted to read about all the tariffs and choose the right one, but then such an application turned up. Launched. The program conducted statistics and offered me a tariff for 500 rubles "All Inclusive S" - the savings will be eight hundred rubles. Now I'm thinking of moving on. It's a shame, of course, that there will be no more discounts. But in the end, I'll still save!

Winner story. Like Dr. Tariff helped to optimize costs

Mikhail Nikitin:

Honestly, I wanted to write about how smart I am and how much I save on communications without third party programs. But I was very shocked by what I saw in the Dr. tariff.

I live in a small provincial town with a population of about 500 thousand people. The issue of cellular communications has always been acute for me, since my student days, when about 6 years ago I purchased the first one in my iPhone life 3GS at the notorious American auction. Until that moment, I didn’t particularly choose a tariff, but used the one that was cheaper. Historically, among all my friends and relatives, there was an opinion that MTS should be used. Therefore, almost all my "mobile" life, I use the services of this operator. Once I tried to switch to Beeline, but we will get to that :).

After the appearance of a modern smartphone at that time, I wanted to use it to the maximum. A lot of games and applications have been installed. Everything sent me notifications and actively tried to get online. At one fine moment, when I replenished my balance by 100 rubles for the third time in a week, I decided: something needs to be changed. I was a student with a scholarship of 1,450 rubles a month and saved up for the smartphone itself for more than six months.

So I went to the nearest MTS salon and chose a tariff with unlimited internet at a speed of 64kbps, it cost about 200 rubles a month with unlimited calls to the operator's numbers. At the time, I was just thrilled. A third-year student with games and unlimited internet, what could be better?

Time passed, the university ended and I got my first job. Software engineer in a company that was a contractor of Vimpelcom LLC (Beeline). For a young man without a family, such work was a fairy tale: constant traveling around the region, to VimpelCom's communications facilities ... We constantly encountered new equipment that had to be miraculously set up and connected to the network. In general, it was not boring :)

But there was one "but" - I had to communicate a lot by cell phone with VimpelCom employees. Many hours of daily conversations, and for the most part with other areas (the Regional Directorate, for example, was in Nizhny Novgorod). But as you remember, all my close relatives and friends - MTS, daily conversations with them were also at least half an hour. After a couple of months of such work, I noticed that without noticing it, I spend more than 1,500 rubles a month on mobile communications.

Therefore, after some thought and communication with the management, it was decided to get a second phone with a beeline :(. Old push-button nokia was found in the table, and Beeline's SIM card was inserted into it. Of the advantages of the old phone, I note one thing - you could talk on it for a couple of days, and he did not sit down. True, it was terribly inconvenient to carry two handsets with you, and the moments when both called were unforgettable. But the savings on cellular communications were noticeable, and immediately. On the iPhone 4, the simplest MTS tariff was chosen with an unlimited Internet package - something around 250 rubles per month. On the button counterpart, the Beeline Xl or XXl tariff was chosen, I don’t remember exactly, and it cost about 300 rubles a month.

As a result, I always began to fit into 600 rubles a month, although I talked for hours. Two phones had two undeniable advantages: after 7 pm I turned off my work phone and went into a quiet life with one personal phone; while there were long, many hours of discussions on the work phone, what to do next and why this or that equipment does not work, I calmly got stuck in the unlimited Internet on the iPhone.

In May of this year, I radically changed the scope of my activity, and the telephone as a means of work was no longer necessary for me. "Nokia" calmly went to the drawer, from where I pulled it out 3 years ago :), and I decided to change the tariff to something powerful with the maximum possible unlimited Internet. Tariff has been selected Super Zero from MTS with internet package Super BIT. All this pleasure came out to me about 250-300 rubles a month. And I thought that this tariff was ideal for me, for several reasons:

  • I use mobile Internet a lot;
  • I communicate a lot within the same operator and in the same region;
  • I practically do not use SMS, thanks to Whatsapp and VKontakte.

I’ll say in advance that two years ago I was terribly infuriated by the mobile Internet, and now everywhere where I spend a lot of time, there cable internet from Wi-Fi router. At work, at home, at my parents' house, at my wife's parents' house, at my wife's sister's house, at my best friend's house.

And it was all before today until I decided to write this review of my cell phone spending over the years :). Perhaps this application should have appeared five years ago! So, having opened it, I was shocked by the fact that I practically do not use mobile Internet since I left previous work. Calls to non-MTS numbers are minimal and can sometimes be counted on the fingers. Even the program says that I spend too much. But I always thought that my expenses are small, and I am very economical in this regard.

Here's a snapshot of the information I got from the program today.

Outgoing calls for 6 months

Incoming calls purposefully removed due to the fact that they are free in our country. What operators they call me from has absolutely no effect on the thickness of my wallet.

Mobile internet usage for 6 months

As you can see in the screenshot above, using mobile traffic fell sharply after changing the scope of activities in May this year.

After analyzing the information received, we see that I practically do not use mobile Internet and call mainly to MTS numbers. You can also see: I spend about 300 rubles a month. As I said before, this suited me up to last moment day.

We go to tariff selection in the application and see that it is more profitable for me to use a different tariff plan.

At first glance, the amounts are ridiculous. Switching to the tariff Super MTS”, the savings will be only 121 rubles per month.
I would also like to note that for about 4 months I have been thinking about giving up my home phone. He is a priori in the apartment, but now, after spending a couple of hours analyzing my expenses for mobile communications, I realized that I don’t use it at all. BUT subscription fee is 272 rubles per month.

My beloved wife and I practically do not use taxis due to the fact that our beloved car always spends the night under the window in the cold. Pizza if we want, I order either through the application, or with cell phone etc. In general, in the wake of thinking about mobile communications, I decided to give up my home phone!

Calculated approximate savings per year: (121 + 272) * 12 = 4716 rubles.

4716 rubles savings per year!

And it's all thanks to the app - and the fact that it made me sit down and think hard about how I've been spending money on communications over the past few years.

On the evening of the same day, having taken the phone away from my wife, I decided to check whether we had chosen the right tariff for her SIM card. Her sister now lives in another city, and sometimes they communicate hours. Therefore, for several years she has not had the best budget tariff, but with 1000 (sort of) minutes of calls to MTS mobile phones in Russia. And almost always, as it seemed to me, this thousand minutes is spent instantly.

It turns out that my beloved does not talk to another region for more than 30 minutes a day. And it easily fits into other tariff plans. On average, she spent 489.8 rubles per month. The program immediately offered us to change the tariff plan and save 222 rubles per month.

As well as for myself, I calculated the approximate savings for the year: 222 * 12 = 2664 rubles.

2664 rubles savings per year!

After spending half a day analyzing my expenses, I saw that I was wasting at least 7380 rubles per year!

After a short meeting with my beloved, it was decided that tomorrow morning I would go to the Rostelecom office to turn off my home phone. And tariffs mobile phones we changed in the personal account from home. Perhaps, for large cities, the amount of ~ 7,500 rubles a year for the family budget will seem ridiculous. But we live in a city of 500,000 people and average salary about 10-20 thousand per month.

It was decided that with this, albeit not the most huge amount of money, I would rather buy gold earrings for my beloved wife on Amazon once a year (even at the current dollar rate). Or buy our moms by e-book.

As a result, the application made me think a lot about the cost of mobile communications. I hope that it will tell you a lot more interesting things in the future!

Congratulations!
