Quality ip file player for android. How to set up iptv on Android - watch multi-channel television on a tablet or smartphone

Most Internet service providers include in their tariff plans or offer for a fee the viewing of streaming television or, as it is more commonly called, IPTV. Usually, instructions for setting up software for Windows are available on the provider's website or in documents supplied with a service agreement. But how to set up IPTV on Android is usually not mentioned anywhere.

Currently, there are many applications for watching IPTV on Android:

  • IPTV Qsmart;
  • LAZY IPTV;
  • Simple IPTV;
  • IP-TV;
  • IPTV EMAG.

All of these programs are designed specifically for watching streaming TV. It should be noted that viewing IPTV is also possible on universal players for Android (VLC, MX Player etc.), but the convenience of using them for IPTV is inferior to the above programs.

Setting up IPTV + VLC

All configuration steps described below are illustrated by an example. IPTV applications from the developer Alexander Sofronov and VLC player for Android, but the above applications have similar functionality, and if you want to use another client to watch streaming TV, it will not be difficult to figure it out by analogy.

Install the IPTV application- Download IPTV

Launch the IPTV application. The program will offer to add a playlist with channels. Playlist is a text file with extension " .m3u" or " .xspf", which contains a list of stream addresses for TV channels. Usually, the Internet provider provides a link to it. Playlists can be easily found on the Internet and downloaded. After adding a playlist, the program will display all the channels contained in it.

Click on the desired channel and application IPTV will start with the selected channel.

This could have ended, if not for one "but"!

Many providers prefer to broadcast a stream over a multicast protocol (links like udp://), since it, compared to unicast (usually http:// protocol), allows you to significantly optimize the occupied bandwidth of the channel, broadcasting the stream to everyone, rather than creating separate sessions for every viewer.

Unfortunately, many Android devices do not support UDP-multicast streams, except for a few models that have udpxy built into the firmware.

To transfer IPTV to an Android device, you need a transcoding system that will transfer IPTV not by multicast, but by a stream over HTTP.

Modern routers with Linux-based firmware like DD-WRT and Open-WRT already have a similar system, but if you have a budget router without transcoding support, you can organize your own proxy using a computer connected to a common network with an Android device.

For Windows operating systems, you need to download the UDP-to-HTTP Proxy program.

For operating systems of the Linux family, the UDP-to-HTTP Proxy server is located at .

Configuring UDP-to-HTTP Proxy (Windows)

The program configuration consists in specifying the IP addresses of the UDP multicast interface and the HTTP server interface. For the case if your computer and Android device are on the same network, this is the same address and it is equal to the IP address of your PC. Expand the list Multicast interface", it should already contain the computer's IP address (the last one in the list).

Recently, many users are interested in how to watch IPTV on Android devices. IPTV or Internet protocol television, as you might guess, is one of the television standards, and it can be called the newest and most relevant. It allows you to not only enjoy a huge number of your favorite programs, but also provides additional functions, such as the ability to view information about the movie.

In addition, IPTV is available not only on ordinary TVs, but also on personal computers, set-top boxes and other Android devices. A reasonable question arises: how to watch programs in this way? Today we will tell you about all the features of IPTV.

What IPTV?

First of all, it is worth understanding what kind of technology this is. IPTV or, as already noted, Internet protocol television (Internet protocol television, IP-TV, IP-television) is a standard (technology) for digital television in data networks over IP. To date, IPTV is one of the newest television standards provided by digital cable TV operators.

Do not confuse IPTV with Internet TV. In the second case, we are dealing with streaming video, which is transmitted directly from the broadcaster's provider, without any intermediaries, as is the case with IPTV.

The architecture of IPTV is quite complex; to ensure operation, it includes a whole set of systems that manage, process, protect and monitor the transmitted content.

To view IPTV, you need the appropriate client equipment. This can be a personal computer, the system features of which meet the requirements, and special set-top boxes, and Smart TVs, as well as various devices running the Android operating system (smartphones, tablets,). In addition, you need software to watch IPTV. It can be represented by specialized applications or by a regular Internet browser available on the device.

Content can be delivered to the client's equipment in two ways:

  • using an IP network managed by the telecom operator. In this case, multicast or unicast technology is used
  • via OTT, in which the client is not tied to a specific telecom operator

IPTV has a lot of advantages, the main of which can be called interactivity. Among other things, this television standard provides a huge number of additional services that can make watching programs more comfortable. For example, watching IP-television, you can find out what the program is about, pause it, rewind it to the right moment.

IPTV is many times better than analogue television, where the viewer can receive a signal with interference, and the possibilities are seriously curtailed, as is the number of available channels.

How to watch IPTV on Android?

So, we figured out the features of IP-television. Now we will deal directly with how we can watch IPTV on devices running a “green robot”, whether it be a smartphone, tablet or TV Box. There are two possible ways to organize IP television:

  • use the services of a provider;
  • without connection to the service provider.

Since the methods are quite different, we will consider them separately.

IPTV from the provider

Who is a provider? A provider is an organization that provides various services. In our case, we are talking about an Internet provider, which accordingly provides the client with access to the World Wide Web. As a rule, for an additional fee, the organization is ready to provide the user with packages of additional services, which include the culprit of our article today - IPTV. What you need to watch IP TV from a provider:

  • firstly, connecting devices to the network of the provider that provides the service. In other words, to a Wi-Fi router that distributes the Internet.
  • secondly, you need to install a video player on the device. You can download it from the Play Market absolutely free. There are no particular preferences for a particular application, so you can choose whichever you like best, but in some cases it is the MX Player program that is required.
  • thirdly, you need an application to add an m3u playlist with IPTV channels. We also download it from the Play Market. There are a lot of them, choose the first one from the list. We'll talk more about applications below.
  • and most importantly - a link or file from the provider that allows you to download available IPTV channels. Get it from your ISP accordingly. As a rule, immediately after purchasing an IPTV package, you are given a URL, which will come in handy in the future.

If all conditions are met, we can proceed to get a list of channels. For this:

  • go to the IPTV application, downloaded earlier, from your Android device;
  • we are looking for "Add playlist", usually an inscription appears in the middle of the screen (you can also use the plus icon, which is usually located in the upper right corner of the application);
  • a drop-down list will appear with options to choose from: "Add URL" or "Choose file";
  • if you received an address from the provider, then copy it or enter it manually in the line that appears;
  • if the provider provided the playlist in a file, then you must specify the path to it (accordingly, it must be on the device);
  • confirm the entry of the address or the selection of the file by pressing the "OK" button;
  • we see a window with channels available for viewing;
  • if a video player is installed, then when a channel is selected, it will start playing programs (if the player is not on the Android device, the system will offer to install it from the Play Market).

That's it, now you can enjoy digital TV provided by your provider.

How to watch IPTV on Android devices for free - download free playlists?

Not every user wants to pay for the opportunity to watch TV to the provider. In this case, you can go the other way - we use playlists that contain free TV channels.

Providers that make good money on IPTV services regularly close such loopholes in order to force the user to pay. And yet, whoever searches will always find a free playlist with popular TV channels.

So, in this case, we act in much the same way as in the case of IPTV from the provider. Download the application for downloading IPTV, install the player on the device (we recommend MX Player). Only this time we'll have to find the playlist ourselves. Naturally, the browser and any search engine will help us in this. We go in and in the search line we write a command like "IPTV playlist". The system itself understands that the user is looking for free offers, so the most popular ones will be at the very top.

It remains only to choose the appropriate one, download the file or copy the playlist link. Open the IP-television application on your smartphone, tablet or TV-Box, where you specify the path to the file or enter the URL. By the way, you can come up with a name for your playlist. See the channels available for viewing. Everyone, you can watch your favorite shows.

A couple of links to m3u playlists:

  1. Download free IPTV playlist in m3u format “ “
  2. Download free IPTV playlist in m3u format “ “

Please note that sometimes some channels or even playlists stop working. There is only one way out - to update. Then try using the i-ptv.blogspot.com service.

Errors when watching IPTV on Android devices

As a rule, there are no problems with IP-television. The user does each item described in the instructions above, and that's all, he can watch TV shows. However, occasionally errors occur.

Failed to load channel list

A fairly common problem, the culprit of which is, as a rule, those who make playlists or inattentive users. In most cases, re-downloading the playlist file or looking for a new URL helps. When downloading, pay attention to the file extension. Playlists for IPTV have the extension .m 3u . If otherwise, the file may need to be unzipped using the appropriate software. You can do this on a personal computer, for example, with the WinRAR program, and on an Android device by downloading a suitable archiver from the Play Market.

Can't play this video

Another problem that haunts the owners of routers that do not support Multicast broadcasting in the UPD stream. In this case, the video may not play at all, or the picture will crumble in the process. There are many ways to solve this problem, including flashing the router, but this is clearly not suitable for many users who do not have deep knowledge in computer technology. Fortunately, there is a really working, and most importantly, simple way. All we need is a program that will help convert the UDP stream to HTTP. So what needs to be done:

  • we connect a personal computer to a router that is used by Android devices to access the Network;
  • download the UdpProxy program, which is available for the Windows and Linux operating systems;
  • install and run the program;
  • a window with various settings will appear, we are interested in the items “UDP multicast interface” and “HTTP server interface”, next to which there are drop-down lists;
  • the lists must contain your IP address;
  • to find out the IP address, click on the available networks (in the lower right corner of the desktop, next to the sound volume icon);
  • available networks will appear, select the one to which you are connected (in Windows 10 a window will open in which networks are listed, select your own, find the line “IPv 4 address”);
  • it is this address that we indicate in the paragraphs "UDP-multicast interface" and "HTTP-server interface";
  • Click the "Save" and "Run" buttons.

We are done with the UdpProxy program. Now let's move on to the Android device on which you plan to watch IPTV and the necessary applications have already been installed. And what we need is the IPTV program.

  • open the IPTV application settings;
  • find the "UDP proxy settings" section;
  • in the first line, enter the IP address specified in the UdpProxy program;
  • in the second line, specify the port, which is also specified in the UdpProxy program;
  • the last is the drop-down list "Proxy type", select UDP-to-HTTP proxy and Windows or Linux depending on the operating system installed on the computer;
  • Confirm the changes by clicking the "OK" button.

It will not be superfluous to restart the application, after which the problem can be considered solved.

Note that in order for the error not to come out, and the video to work normally, you will have to run UDP-to-HTTP on a personal computer every time. In order not to have to constantly do this manually, you can turn it into a service. To do this, in the UdpProxy program, you just need to click the "Install" button.

Popular applications and players for watching IPTV

To make it easier for you to decide which program to use to add TV channel playlists, we decided to select the most downloaded and popular ones.

Firstly, I would like to note the program with the uncomplicated name IPTV, which is apparently being developed by one person - Alexander Sofronov. The IPTV application received good ratings and positive feedback from users. Available in two versions: free and Pro - paid (79 rubles). The Pro has no ads, and added some useful features, such as automatically launching the application when you turn on your Android device, which is very convenient on set-top boxes.

Secondly, the program from the developer LazyCat Software has proven itself well. Distributed free of charge, received all the necessary features for comfortable viewing IPTV. It features a simple interface, browsing history and the presence of a TV program.

For owners of TV Boxes on Android, we recommend an application for viewing IPTV Kodi, which, by the way, is present in most set-top boxes out of the box. It has great functionality, user-friendly interface, but not all versions support the Russian language.

Today we will talk about how to set up IPTV viewing on a smartphone or tablet running Android OS. To do this, we need a special application - the player, it's called - IPTV. You can find and install it on Google Play. Do this on your android through the search or use the QR code below.

There are several options for watching interactive TV on your smartphone or tablet:

  1. Free from open playlists.
  2. Using a connected service from your provider for which you pay a subscription fee.

Get over 200 IPTV channels in Full HD quality from $4.5 per month. Including sports 50fps and strawberry. Connect! https://www.ottclub.cc

Depending on which option suits you, the process of entering application parameters will differ, so we will consider them separately.

Free, without connecting the service to the provider

In this case, we will use a playlist that contains free channels. Providers are constantly struggling with this and closing loopholes, but since we offer you to take a file with a list of channels from our website, we will try to constantly monitor its relevance.

We launch the installed IPTV application and click "Add playlist" - "Add URL".

Next, we suggest entering the URL of the file from our site, this will be the easiest for you. If you are a more advanced user and want to add your own list of channels, then read the "Advanced" section below. And here we enter the following address: https://website/iptv.m3u. Click "OK" and see the list of channels. Our file contains about 250 channels.

If you try to watch any channel, you might be in for a little surprise: a message that you don't have MX Player installed. For beginners, we advise you to simply click the "Install" button and select "Play Market" if the system asks what to use. The application page on Google Play will open, select "Install".

Now select a channel and enjoy watching. If there are problems during playback, you need to configure the UDP proxy, as will be described at the end of the article. We also invite you to watch the video tutorial below.

For advanced

First, you don't have to use MX Player to watch channels. You can go to the application settings and in the "Video player" item, select a different one or let the system choose.

Second, you don't have to use our playlist URL. You can use your own, for this you have 2 options:

  1. Create a folder on the flash drive, put the list of channels in m3u format in it and additionally create an empty file there with the name ".nomedia" so that Android does not delete our file after disconnecting from the computer. And in the application, instead of "Add URL" you need to click "Choose File", and you will see your channel list file.
  2. Add a playlist file in Dropbox to a public folder and right-click on it to copy the public link to it.

Service from the provider

If you have a home interactive TV service connected and would like to use this service on Android, then you also need to install the player application as described above, only the URL of the playlist or the file itself should have been provided to you by your provider. It is also a prerequisite that your device is connected to the network of a provider that provides this service. In other words, connected via WiFi to a router that is connected to the provider's network.

UDP proxy

On many android devices, for the normal operation of the application, it is necessary to use a UDP proxy, which allows you to view the so-called multicast streams. Below is a table with a list of gadgets on which the proxy requirement has already been checked and known.

PC program

There are a small number of routers that natively support UDPxy. But basically, in order to get this function working in them, you need their firmware and so on, which goes far beyond the scope of a beginner. Therefore, the best solution is to install a special UDP-to-HTTP Proxy program on a computer connected to the same network as your device.

Download the Windows program from the UdpProxy link, unzip and run. The program will automatically detect the multicast interface, select the same HTTP server interface. The value of these two fields corresponds to the IP address of your computer on the network. If you have any doubts about the correctness of the value, find out the address of your PC on the network and compare. How to find out the IP address of a computer on a local network? Yandex or Google will tell you.

IPTV on Android has long been a very popular service, which is used by a lot of people right on their computer. But that's not all! The service allows you to enjoy its benefits directly on your TV, as well as use a media player and other innovations for this. And now you can see it right on your Android smartphone. How to do this - this will be discussed. In total, today there are several applications that can exist with IP-TV. The first application created and powered by QSmart is play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ua.com.apec.qsmart.iptv. As for the second application for IPTV, it was created by Safronov - this is play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.iptvremote.android.iptv, which has the same similar functionality. In principle, there are not many differences, so each user can choose what he likes. What about IPTV playlists on Android and how do they work? For example, very often you can hear people asking where to get these playlists. There are several ways and the first is to visit your own provider. But we must make a reservation in advance that not every provider will allow you to use IPTV, and even if it does, the playlist is suitable exclusively for local networks of providers. There is another option. For example, the user may use paid services that are offered by third-party providers. There are also free playlists that you can work with yourself, however, if you do start to specialize, then it is best to visit certain forums, where all this is written in more detail. Now let's talk about such phenomena. IPTV for Android like links. Links in playlists are of two types - it can be either unicast or multicast. What it is?

iptv player for android

Unicast will always start with https:// and will work with any device, while Multicast with udp://@ does not. With these links very often there are various unpleasant problems. Why? Because Multicast is not friendly with android, and the player itself does not see udp. There is another reason - this is that the router does not want to skip multicast. If you need a solution to this issue, it is - it is UDP Proxy, which in general is a small program that can turn a UPD stream directly into the desired Http and that's it. UDP works with both Windows and Linux. And in this case, IPTV on Android will please with functionality. And now it's still worth turning to another very important question, which sounds like this - which player to choose. The IPTV application we are considering on Android makes it possible only to view the playlist, but how to play it? How to listen to your favorite audio? To play, you need a regular video player. It is clear why it is so difficult to choose a player. But you won't know until you try. Here you have to separate the wheat from the chaff - for example, for one player, the picture can slow down very much and stop working, while the other may have problems with playback in general. Someone chooses an MX player for themselves and remains happy, while someone else chooses a different player - here everything will be decided by a matter of taste. As a conclusion, I would like to say that today you can install both a TV and a radio in your phone. This is a good opportunity to be in touch with the world, find out the latest news, and just entertain yourself with movies right on TV. I must say that it is comfortable to use IPTV on Android, if only you quickly managed to launch a communication channel, and it will not be embarrassing that it will be impossible to switch between channels. However, the creators of IP-TV want to introduce a number of interesting changes.
