Here is what Sergey writes: ... there is one question related to creating your own folder for frequently used effects, filters, etc. Folder created, assigned a name. I open Video Effects, select the effect I want, but my new folder is so deep in the list that it's not possible to drag something there. The list of effects differs from the standard one, because many plug-ins are installed. Even increasing the window to the maximum size does not help. How to be in this situation? ...».

Indeed, if you have a standard set of folders with effects, then creating your own list of effects is not a problem. But what if the list of folders with effects is huge and just like that, right away, you can’t get to the created folder?

We proceed as follows. Click on the panel tab "Effects" (Effects):

To expand the panel to full screen, hover over the panel "Effects" (Effects) and press the key "Yo", on keyboard:

Rename the created folder. Go to the section "Video Effects" (Video Effects) and click on the triangle to expand the list of effects:

From the list, select the subfolder that contains the effects you need. Please note that at the top of the panel, there is a search bar:

Let's go back to choosing a subfolder. The subfolder has a name, in Russian or in English. Here is the name and enter in the search bar. For example, subfolder "Distortion". Enter the word in the search bar - Distortion.

Good day! As promised, in the continuation of the article I am doing a complete analysis of the sound effects of Premiere Pro CS6.
There are not so many “native” effects in total, but more specifically - 31. And we will begin the analysis in alphabetical order. For your convenience, I have decided to break the description into three parts. (For those perverts who use the program in Russian, I will indicate the POSSIBLE name in Russian)

Balance

This effect allows you to control the relative volume of the left and right channels. The only setting option is intuitive. Move the slider to the left, the value changes to negative (-60.2) This means that 60% of the outgoing sound will come from the left speaker. Exactly the same rule applies to the right side.

Bandpass

This effect creates a frequency band and removes all frequencies that are not included in this band.
Now for the settings:

Center (Center) - Indicates the frequency at the center of the selected range.
Q - Specifies the bandwidth. Everything that falls inside the band remains, everything that is outside is removed. High values ​​will create a narrow band, while low values ​​will create a wide band.

For a clearer understanding of how the effect works, I'll use a diagram from Adobe Audition.

Bass (Bass)

the effect Bass (Bass) allows you to increase or decrease low frequencies. Parameter Boost (Amplifier) sets the amount of dB (decibel) by which to increase the low frequencies.

Channel Volume

Allows you to independently adjust the volume of audio channels. As you may have guessed, the parameter Left controls the left channel, Right right.

Chorus (Chorus, Choir)

LFO Type - determines the type of low purity wave. Sine - sinusoidal, Rect - rectangular Tri - triangular.
Rate (speed) - sets the rate of amplitude change. If the value of this parameter is high, then the voice being changed will be trembling and nervous. If low, you will get a slight vibrato effect.
Depth (depth) - determines the maximum value in the resulting amplitude. For example, you can set it so that the effect voice difference Chorus changed 5 dB quieter or louder than the original. At low settings, any changes will be barely noticeable. At higher values, the sound will be intermittent and unnatural.
Delay (delay) - sets the delay time. One of the most important effect settings. If the value of this parameter is underestimated, then the voices begin to merge into the original. At too high values, we will get the effect of jamming the tape in a cassette recorder.
Feedback (feedback) - Adds the percentage of processed voices fed back to the input of the effect.
Mix (mixing) - determines the percentage of mixing of the original sound and the processed one.

In general, the effect is quite difficult to understand, and for beginners, for the first time, the presets prepared by the guys from Adobe will be enough.

I will not describe the presets, you will figure it out yourself.

DeClicker (remove clicks) - this effect detects and removes clicks.

In the settings, we can see two small monitor windows. At the top labeled as INPUT we see the beep and any clicks that are detected.
In the bottom labeled as OUTPUT the processed and cleaned signal is displayed. Here we can select the audio signal processing mode. (But in practice, I never heard the difference.)

Threshold (threshold, limit) - sets the threshold for detecting defects that we eliminate.
DePlop - determines the degree of removal of low-frequency clicks.
Audition (audition)

DeCrackler (Crackle Remover) - very similar to the effect I described above. Only in a wider application, it removes the noise and crackle of wired and wireless microphones, digitized video and audio cassettes, vinyl records and more.

As in effect DeClicker in the settings there are two windows-monitors. Upper DETECTED CRACKLES (crackle detection) shows detected defects in your audio (crackling, noises, squeaks, etc.) Bottom window OUTPUT shows the processed signal.

Threshold (threshold, limit) - determines the level of detection for crackles and thus determines how much of the signal will be affected.
Reduction - determines the degree of crackle reduction.
Audition (audition) - allows you to listen to only those sounds that will be deleted.
Efficiency (efficiency) - the higher the indicator, the more effective the effect is.

DeEsser (Noise Reduction) - removes various kinds of noise or hiss. For me, one of the most indispensable effects in Premiere Pro.

Switches Male And female help the effect adapt to the difference between tones.

Gain - sets the amount of noise removal.
And in order to better control the operation of the effect, the gentlemen from Adobe gave us a scale Gain reduction .

DeHummer (?) - the effect removes the rumble of the mains, lighting, poorly shielded cable.

Filter (filter) - determines how many filters to allocate to reduce your interference. The greater the number of filters, the more the processor is loaded.
reduction - determines the degree of interference reduction.
frequency - interference frequency regulator, as a rule it is either 50 or 60 hertz, for this we brought the buttons below.

Delay (delay) - adds echo to your sound.

Now, let's go to the Project window. Copy the sequence and name it, for example: sequence_copy.

And in the window: Remove effects, leave a checkbox only for the item Video effects and click on the button: OK.

We look at the picture in the Program window, without applying effects. Since the method described above, you can only remove all effects, not selective ones.

Now open the sequence: copy_sequence, select all clips (Ctrl+A).

Run the command: Edit > Copy (Ctrl+C).

Open the main sequence, select all the clips and execute the command: Edit > Paste Attributes (Ctrl+Alt+V).

In the Insert Attributes window, in the Effects list, uncheck the box before the effect: Black and White. And click on the button: OK.

We look at the result: the Gaussian Blur effect remains in the Effect Controls panel.

Now you can delete the sequence in the project window: sequence_copy. If necessary, you can save the project with two sequences under a different name (for rollback).
*In the Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015.3 update, there is no need to do different manipulations to remove one effect from all clips. Just in the window Remove Effects (Remove effects) turn off unnecessary effects. Previously, it was only possible to turn off all effects, and not select from the list those that we want to remove.
*Using effect emblems in . An effect badge is an icon in the timeline that makes it easy to see if an effect has been applied to a clip. Click the settings icon in the timeline and select "Show Effects Badges" to show the badges in the timeline.
