The popular Samsung Galaxy Note 2017 phablet also got a borderless screen, but with a 6.3-inch diagonal. In a word, it is expensive and it is not clear why they deviated from the original design so much, this is rather a minus for the device.

Blackview (in fact, this is Shenzhen Doke Electronics from Hong Kong, which is also China, no matter how anyone thinks otherwise) "released" an analog of the iPhone X at the lowest price - $ 50. It makes no sense to list the basement copies of the iPhone X of varying degrees of similarity, there are several dozen of them. If we take the cutout, or that same monobrow, as a point of similarity with the iPhone X, then in the near future a lot of smartphones with high cost, which have such screens, will be announced. For example, this is OPPO R15 in two versions (previously called R13), LG G7 (it was rumored to be canceled and then brought back to life), OnePlus 6, Huawei P20 and many others. How similar will each of these models be to the iPhone X? This is a matter of your perception, but I think that the cutout is unambiguously associated with this device, although it appeared long before that. Recent examples include the Essential smartphone, which also has a screen cutout, but no one remembers it. Although it was created before the iPhone X, and before it there were other models that are simply not very well known to the general public.
I will say a seditious thought that many will not like, perhaps it will cause negative emotions. A fake for the original is always bad, and primarily for those who use such a fake and demonstrate it to others. The history of large-scale litigation between Samsung and Apple began with the Galaxy S. Then the Cupertinians accused their Korean friends of impudently copying the iPhone. And you know, the accusations were not without reason. The design of the then flagship Samsung was very much like an Apple phone (namely, the iPhone 3GS).
It cannot be denied that outwardly these two phones are very similar. The frames on the sides and the roundedness of the corners are striking. But Samsung then decided that once to copy, then to copy everything. The designers didn’t bother too much about the new interface and again spied (quite a bit) the idea from Apple. In its lawsuit, the “apple” company referred to both square icons (which fit so well in the Galaxy S) and grid sizes (4 by 4), because the iPhone menu is built on this principle.
The legal saga lasted for several years (sometimes it even seemed that it would never end), the companies alternately filed lawsuits against each other in different courts (then even the special term “Patent trolling” appeared). For short periods, sales of both Apple and Samsung devices were prohibited. True, only in local markets (although they are also quite large): USA, Australia, Korea and others. Such "maneuvers" probably brought big losses to the companies. For example, Samsung court ordered Apple to pay $ 1 billion.
Now it is already very joyful to see that Samsung is trying to make its own unique design, and they do it very well. And it doesn't matter at all that outwardly all phones and tablets of Koreans are similar to each other.
Here is Huawei (sorry), seemingly a good company, began to make good phones and win the trust of customers. But the Chinese beginning made itself felt. One day, the company's designers decided to make the phone look like the iPhone 5. No, though. Not similar. The same. This is how the Huawei Ascend P6 was born.
They stole only the appearance, they decided to install their own (proprietary) user interface. Although the design has been borrowed, the phone doesn't look like a cheap copy of the iPhone. I will say even more - the Huawei case looks even more beautiful in places than that of the Apple smartphone.
Such a situation as with the Samsung Galaxy S, most likely, is not foreseen. Apple has no plans to sue Huawei. There may be several reasons for this: the Cupertinos are now very much “busy with innovations” (the release of the new iPhone is on the nose, and so on), the “Chinese” will not be able to knock off a lot of money, or they have no idea about the existence of such a brand as Huawei.
