Where is the download folder. Where is the Downloads folder on an Android device? Where is the Downloads folder in Windows

So, you've just downloaded a file on your Android device, but where did it go? There are several ways to find out where files are being downloaded on Android devices.

Method 1: Use the pre-installed Downloads app

This method works for most Android devices. Chances are, if you go to the main menu of your mobile device, you will find an application called Downloads. The application provides direct access to the file download folder.

Method 2: Use Android File Managers

Another way to access your downloads folder is to use additional file manager applications, similar to those available for Mac or PC. Some Android devices come with pre-installed file managers.

However, if you don't have a file manager, then you can download it from the Google Play Store. One of my favorite Android file managers is called Total Commander.

TotalCommander - file manager (Is free)

To find a list of all downloaded files using the file manager, simply open the app and navigate to Smartphone Memory, Internal Memory, or SD Card (sometimes called / sdcard).

After you have navigated to the required directory, you need to find a folder called Downloads. Open the folder and you will see a list of all downloaded files.

Method 3: View downloaded files via computer

If you want to access the downloaded files through your computer, you need to connect your Android device to your Mac or PC using a USB cable.

After connecting a mobile device via USB, you will receive a notification on the computer screen with brief instructions on how to access the smartphone memory.

Some Android devices ask for a way to use USB, such as charging, file transfer, photo transfer (PTP) or MIDI. You need to select File Transfer.

After successfully connecting your Android device to your computer, go to the internal memory or SD card directory and find the Download folder.

Most often, TS2 players experience various inconveniences associated with clogging up the user download folder.
The question of how you can remove unnecessary objects from "Downloads" is most often asked only when the folder has already reached incredible size.
You can read about several cleaning methods and useful ideas in managing your downloads content under the cut.

The two most frequently asked questions are:
1. How to delete correctly?
2. How can I see what exactly I am deleting?
-
1. Correct removal of items from the custom content of the Downloads folder is the removal of both the meshes (mesh) of the object and all its recolors
2. You can see what needs to be deleted in certain programs and through the SimPe game editor
"Lost" meshes, or recolors from them, are files, meshes, or non-mesh recolours that have been removed through Bodyshop or in-game. Usually the game downloads, rechecks your entire Downloads folder, if there are such lost things in it, this only slows down the download process. Sometimes in bodyshop, if there is no hair or clothing mesh, recolors will not display correctly.

Several ways to remove custom items from the game

In the game itself(relevant to everything except custom hair and clothing)
No matter how trite it may sound, there is nothing new in the fact that almost all objects are freely removed through the gameplay of the game itself. If repaints are attached to the object, they must be removed manually without fail:
We expose the item to the house, from the purchase mode and click on the recoloring (design) tool, choosing each individual repainting option, we see the "basket" icon in this small window on the right, which means that this repainting can be deleted. Click on the "basket" and slowly remove all repaints that can be removed. Those that cannot be removed are attached to the mesh itself. We then sell that item and remove its mesh through gameplay. (again, there will be an icon in the control panel, at the very end of it is a "basket".

Sims2Pack Clean Installer(the program will allow you to see a preview of the recolors (if there are any, you will not see the meshes). Useful if you still have recolors after deleting the meshes and you know how they look externally. If you view wallpapers and floors and other textures that you can freely delete without fear of leaving the mesh. Instructions for use with mixei.ru

Delphy "s Download Organizer(useful for searching for "lost meshes" or "lost recolors", hacks, etc.). A very convenient and simple organizer.

Download program

SimPe(relevant for "lost" repaints) Search instructions from mixei.ru
SimPe can open any package file, everything that is in the Downloads folder can be opened through the File / Open menu and then search in the Texture Image resource tree. Usually, by the name "154b79c12903fa853c197d9b153c5e03_0002" (files installed from the Sim2pack format) you cannot find out what it is. But in a texture image, the name of the texture itself can always tell "what it is" and what color. I don't know how useful this is for users who never remember the names of what they download. Files with this name can most often contain wallpapers, sims, etc.
Official site and links to download the program

With your own hands(relevant if the name of the creator or the name of the thing itself is spelled out in the file name) Yes, google.ru, Mts or any other site from which you most often download will help you. All of rose's peggy hair can be seen on their websites. The name of the mesh usually begins with "Peggy # 005723", the same letters-numbers are usually written into the repainting file, so there is nothing easier than to drive the copied file name into Google and find the picture. She will help you make sure whether you need to leave it or not.

Bodyshop(useful for removing skin tones, cosmetics, recoloring hair and clothing meshes from developers, facial hair). Comes with the game and every add-on and stuff. Can be found in the * \ CSBin folder of the latest add-on or the original game.

The safest methods are to remove content - from the game, bodyshop and with your own hands. In other options, before deleting any thing, if you are in doubt about something, it is better to move it to another place. Load the game after checking if the item you really need to delete has been removed. It so happens that programs can scan and give you repaints that "seem to" are not attached to anything, although in fact they are involved in the game. Carefully and without haste!

Your best organizer is your own hands!
After a long cleaning, you can create subfolders in the Downloads directory in which you can put the sorted things. For example, you can create many folders in each of which there will be files, meshes, recolours, hacks of a certain type. Let the clothes be divided into men and women, it will have a separate folder with two subfolders by gender. Let the items of purchase, construction lie separately. Do not create unnecessary problems for yourself by throwing everything at random. Sort everything into categories that are most convenient for you and try to put new files in the folders intended for this.
For hair and a large number of recoloring of one object, create a folder in the name of which will be the name of either the creator who created it, or the full name of the news with recoloring, if it is on mts or some forum (so that later it would be easier to find on google or on the same website). Trust me, this is quite convenient. You will always know what is where.

p.s. if you have any other original ways to remove content from the Downloads folder, please let us know in the comments, maybe these are useful tips that should be added to this post.
