What to do if the wire does not charge the iPhone. "This cable or accessory is not certified ..."

There are often situations when after connecting a computer or laptop to the Internet using a network cable, an error appears " Network cable not connected. ”This is more likely not even an error, but simply the status of the network adapter, which can be observed in network connections.

It turns out that the computer does not respond in any way to the connection, the network cable is not connected, although it is connected to the computer, inserted into the network card slot. Icon on the notification panel with a red cross. And of course the internet doesn't work. This is how it looks:

And most importantly, the cable is connected. From a router, modem, or directly from the provider's equipment. This error can appear on both a PC and a laptop. It also doesn't matter what Windows is installed on your computer. Only in Windows 10, the inscription "Network cable is not connected" will be next to the "Ethernet" adapter, and in Windows 7 - next to "Connect by local network". And in Windows XP, a pop-up window with this error still appears if you hover the mouse over the connection icon. This is often the case.

It's the same with the connection method. Someone has a network cable directly from the provider (for example, Rostelecom), and someone through a modem, Wi-Fi router, or terminal.

What could be the problem?

There can be many reasons. Let's list the main ones:

  • The network cable is incorrectly or not fully connected.
  • The mains cable is damaged. The contacts in the connector may have come off (into which the network cable itself is crimped).
  • Hardware problems with the router, modem, provider equipment. Or the network card itself in your laptop or PC has broken.
  • Problems in the settings of the network card. More often than not, it cannot automatically detect speed and duplex. I'll tell you about this in more detail.
  • There are some problems with the network card driver.
  • Viruses, firewalls, some kind of programs. Yes, yes, because of them, the error "Network cable is not connected" can also occur.

How to find out the reason and what to do first?

  • First, restart your computer, modem, router (if any).
  • Disconnect the network cable and reconnect. Also check the connection on the router (if the Internet is connected through it)... Connect the cable to another LAN port... Note if the LAN indicator on the router lights up after connecting the cable. You can see the instructions:.
  • If possible, connect using a different cable.
  • You can gently move the network cable in the place where it enters the connector. And look at this moment at the status of the network adapter on the computer. Perhaps contacts are leaving there, and in this way it will be possible to find out.
  • If there is another PC or laptop, then try connecting it. So we can find out what the matter is.
  • If the Internet goes through a router, then try connecting the cable from the provider directly to the computer.

I would divide the solutions into software and hardware.

The network cable is not connected although it is connected: solutions to the problem

1 I would try removing the network card from the device manager. After rebooting, it should recover automatically. Go to Device Manager (the easiest way to find it is through the search, or by pressing the combination Win keys+ R and execute the command devmgmt.msc).

Opening the " network adapters"Find a network card. Depending on the manufacturer and driver, the name may be different. The name may contain" LAN ". For example, on my laptop it is" Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller". By the way, pay attention if there is a yellow badge... Click on it right click mouse and select "Remove device".

We confirm the deletion and restart the computer. Perhaps, after rebooting, everything will work, and the computer will see the connected network cable.

2 Check the settings for determining the speed and duplex. In device manager, right click on the network card (as I showed above) and select Properties.

Next, go to the "Advanced" tab. In the list, find and select "Spped & Duplex"... And on the left in the dropdown menu, set the value to "Auto Negotiation". But if you had it originally installed there this option, then try to put a different value. For example: "100 Mbps Full Duplex". You can also try different variants... Remember to click Ok and restart your computer.

It just often happens that the network card cannot automatically detect the speed and duplex.

3 Network card driver. You need to try reinstalling it. Download the driver on the website of the manufacturer of the card itself (LAN), laptop, or motherboard your computer and run the installation. You can see an article on this topic:.

Other reasons why the computer does not respond when the network cable is connected

1 Breakdown of the network card. However, in this case, you most likely will not see it in the device manager. But it happens in different ways. To find out, you need to connect another cable to it. Connect to another router or ISP. Or connect other devices to the same cable. 2 Problems with the provider. For example: an employee of the provider connected the Internet to another subscriber, and accidentally disconnected your cable from the equipment, or the cable was interrupted somewhere in the entrance. Or maybe someone cut it off on purpose. In such cases, the message "Network cable is not connected" will appear. You need to contact the provider's support. Just before that, it would be good to make sure that the problem is not network card your computer. It is also not uncommon for contacts to disappear on the connector, into which the network cable from the provider is crimped. You just need to redo and correctly. Or call the masters. 3 Problem with the router. May be. But it is very easy to check all this. Disconnect the internet from the router (only if you don't have ADSL), and connect it directly to your computer. If the computer sees a network cable, then the problem is either in the router or in the cable with which you connect the PC to the router. You can also take a look at the article:. 4 Defective network cable. And this can be. But, if we have a cable in which we connect the computer to the router, then it is easy to check by connecting another device to them, or by connecting the cable from the provider directly to the computer's network card.

Reason # 0: Software glitch (firmware)

Believe it or not, it is almost always the software (firmware), not the hardware, that causes the iPhone to fail. If the iPhone is no longer the question The iPhone has turned off and does not turn on what to do. If you didn't know, inside the iPhone there is a controller (a microcircuit on the board) that is responsible for charging the battery. What to do if frozen Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro and does not respond. This controller works under the guidance software... Thus, when you connect the cable to the iPhone, power is not supplied directly to the battery, but first to the board with the controller, which in turn obeys the program embedded in the phone.

What do we get? And the fact that the software component of the iPhone recognizes when a power source is connected to the phone and gives a command to the controller to start charging. In the case when the software is frozen, no command will be given and your iPhone will not be charged.

A hard reset of the device usually helps to resolve this problem. To do this, simultaneously hold down Home buttons and Power for at least 30 seconds.

Reason # 1: Lightning port dirty

80% of the population carry their phones in the pockets of their pants or trousers ... I don’t know about you, but I regularly clean all garbage out of my jeans pockets ... where does it come from? Moreover, this debris (dust, lint, hair, etc.) strives to get into any crack of my iPhone.

Imagine! This is the first reason why the iPhone may not charge. You have no idea how much lint and dust gets into the Lightning charging connector! The accumulated compressed dust prevents the Lightning plug from positioning properly in the connector opening, which leads to the problem above. Don't believe me?

Try it! Take a wooden toothpick and gently scrub the accumulated debris from the Lightning connector. What to do if it does not charge you need to try charging the phone using another one. V this material I will tell you what to do if the iPhone does not charge, but it shows that it is charging, I will describe the causes of this problem. Try to "pick out" the charging holes from both corners. Be very careful not to damage the contacts. You will be shocked when you see how much "felt" you managed to get hold of. After that, blow out the connector and connect the charger. What to do if iPhone won't charge. If your phone is severely discharged, it can take up to 15 minutes before it shows the first signs of life.

Reason # 2: Faulty USB port

If you are trying to charge your iPhone with USB port but, the first thing to do is to check if it works. On my work Windows laptop there is a pair of usb connectors from which the iPhone does not charge at all. I don’t know what it’s connected with, but the phone is not receiving a charge. It seems that 5V power supply for these USB ports not served at all.

Some information for overall development:
- Normal USB the port has an output voltage of 5V and a current of 0.5A
- Compare standard iPhone charging outputs 5V and 1A
- Well and charger for iPad outputs 5V and 2A

Try it! If this is your case, try a different USB port or connect your iPhone to a regular 220V charger. If Charger also does not help to charge the iPhone, read about the next possible reason.

Reason # 3: Faulty charger / cable

The iPhone cable won't charge. Repair

The most common malfunction usb cable for charging iPhone ... ok ... what if original Apple charging won't charge your iPhone either? Then it was time to test the Lightning cable. Disassemble and repair in a few minutes

IPhone won't charge? Charging problems? We will suggest a solution to the problem

In this video, we will tell you what could be the reason incorrect work charging cable Apple iPhone, iPod ,.

OK, I won't be original when I say that real Apple chargers are quite expensive... It's another matter if you buy a charger for iPhone on AliExpress (from China) - after all, it will cost you several times cheaper. BUT! BUT! BUT! I strongly discourage doing this! Do NOT buy or use cheap Chinese non-original chargers under any circumstances. According to reviews of friends and from personal experience I can assure you that chinese charging sooner or later they will play a cruel joke with your device, if they do not drive it into " wooden box". You yourself should be aware that " cheaper does not mean better”, And when almost for nothing then doubts about quality creep in.

So, if your iPhone is not charging from a Chinese (non-original) charger, I would DIDN'T BECOME farther EXPERIMENT and would try RECEIVE A REAL ORIGINAL APPLE CHARGE... Everything should be clear here.

Good - good ... what if the original Apple charging won't charge your iPhone too? Then it was time to test the Lightning cable. IPhone won't turn on, what should I do? What to do if Ipad, iphone won't turn on and light up. Again, from personal experience, even original cables that come with the iPhone will fail over time. To be honest, native cables are initially quite fragile. If they are not used carefully enough, then not only the outer plastic braid, but also the conductive "veins" are damaged from frequent bends. WHAT TO DO IF THE SENSOR DOESN'T WORK ON. I recently threw out my own cable, as it began to charge the iPhone by no more than 60%.

I have nothing against the lightning cables that are sold on AliExpress. Here they either charge or not. Do you know how much it costs original lightning cable 1m long Apple Store? Fabulous 19. "This cable or accessory is not certified ..."

Probably some of you have already come across the message “ This cable or the accessory is not certified and therefore cannot be guaranteed to work reliably with this iPhone". There may be several reasons for this, and we will consider them in a separate article. I can only say one thing - starting with iOS 7, Apple taught its devices to recognize the authenticity of USB cables. As I wrote earlier, in the plug Lightning cable a special chip is installed that allows the iPhone (iPad) to recognize the origin of this cable. The Chinese, of course, have learned to counterfeit Lightning chips, but with the release of iOS 7, Apple has changed the rules of the game again. So try to use original charges

Try it! Please use genuine original chargers and Lightning cables that are known to be working properly. If they do not help, most likely one of the components of the iPhone is out of order. Read about it below.

Reason # 4: iPhone battery

Any battery is consumable... This means that batteries do not last forever and require periodic replacement. I recently changed the battery of my MacBook Air since the battery completely stopped holding a charge and it became impossible to use the computer without a cord.

This can happen with the iPhone too, although it is quite rare. Why is the iPhone not? If the original Apple charger also does not charge what to do. What to do if frozen Xiaomi method really works did not help Sensor as not. What happens if you don't charge your phone native charging…. Rather, phones that are four / five years old are susceptible to this diagnosis. if the battery fails, then gradually and until complete failure.

Replacement iPhone battery it's not tricky, but it requires some tools. Replacement instructions are again available on ifixit.com.

If your device is fairly new, then I don't think the problem is with the battery. Very often people turn to me who charged their devices with power supplies of unknown origin, and in the end they had a problem. Usually in this case, the charging controller or the power controller fails. But more on that below. See Reason # 5.

Reason # 5: Faulty iPhone components

Well, the last reason for today why the iPhone does not charge is malfunction internal components ... Yes, and don't be surprised - this is a fairly common reason! Most often, either the battery or the power / charge controller fails. What exactly refused you, you can find out after diagnostics in service center... In the comments below, many people complain that their iPhone does not charge at all, or it loses its charge abnormally quickly, or it gets very hot, or does not accept the cable - all these are signs of a faulty iPhone power / charge controller I wrote in detail about replacing the iPhone power and charging controllers in a separate article (link). Well, if you need to explain on the fingers, then in fact the U2 charge controller is a chip (microcircuit) on iPhone board, which can be replaced (soldered) with a new one. In normal service centers, this procedure does not cause any particular difficulties and costs from 2,500 to 4,000 rubles.

Try it! I can't say exactly what went wrong in your case. You have a direct road to the service center. Be sure to test the iPhone's functionality after replacing the charge controller or battery. Even new iPhone batteries(again of Chinese origin) may be defective and not take charge. If the iPhone turns off in the cold and does not turn on and What to do if the iPhone is frozen. But not. What to do if the iPhone turns off and does not turn on. Or maybe the master, mistakenly replacing one component, did not find the real problem... Therefore, ask the service center to connect your iPhone to a power source and make sure that the phone turns on and the charge indicator reaches at least a couple of percent.

In any case, write in the comments which method helped you. If iPhone still won't charge, email me about it and I'll try to find another solution for you. Briefly: Neatness is the sister of talent.

Official Lightning cables are frayed and torn - broken. We recommend, humble yourself. But with the will and patience, extend the lifespan of each one. Use editorial experience site, which was multiplied by internet opinion.

1. Scotch tape, electrical tape and the like

To make the wire more secure, instead of two zones of potential wear, wrap the cable from beginning to end. And in the role of a replacement for tape or duct tape, use thread and other similar materials.

2. Heat shrink tubing will help

To make the first method aesthetically pleasing, use heat shrink tubing. These are available in a number of sizes at hardware stores. The price is minimal - a couple of tens of rubles per set.

Slide the heat shrink tubing over the top of the potential break. And heat with a lighter, hair dryer or iron. The polymer will shrink and wrap around the cable. Pick up the tube white to increase aesthetics.

3. Spring ballpoint pen and more

Aesthetically pleasing on the official Apple Lightning Cable looks like a metal spring silver color from a ballpoint pen. But not every one will do. I advise you to visit a stationery store and sort out a couple in search of.

Sugru is recommended as a substitute for this method on forms. This is a kind of plasticine for fixing things around. Use it to seal up potential cable breaks. And after drying, the substance will turn into a polymer a la rubber.

4. Neat application / carrying

Editorial members site use devices Apple for years... And they agree in one opinion - so that Lightning cables do not break for months, carefully apply and carry each in your pocket, bag and so on.

5. Use of Apple substitutes

V personal use visited third-party MFi Lightning cables. Tried noodle type and similar official ones in leather, fabric and metal. Not rubbed, but stopped working after 5-9 months for no apparent reason.

The forums recommend buying a microUSB adapter (mom) to Lightning (dad). And use it with a thicker microUSB cable. This wire is cheaper and less likely to break. We have not tried it, but we believe.

If the cable, which is frequently bent, tangled, and kinked, begins to fray, you can neutralize the damage.

1. Insulating tape

The cheapest method is to cover the gap. It will not look very solid and will hardly save the cable for a long time, however, in terms of price-quality ratio, this method is quite good. It is better to wrap the frayed area or gap several times, and then walk the tape along the entire wire to strengthen it. But still, don't expect it to last you forever.

2. Heat shrink

It is a more durable wire repair tool. True, it is more expensive and will not work if both ends of the cable are much larger than its main part. Heat shrink tubing comes in a variety of diameters, lengths and colors. One piece will cost from one hundred to several thousand rubles. Having found right size, you just have to put the tube on the cable at the break and activate it with high temperature such as a hairdryer. The tube will shrink and wrap around the wire, keeping the frayed area still and preventing damage from spreading.

3. Sugru

4. Spring

A temporary solution to the problem can be a spring from a fountain pen. By stretching it and putting it on the cable, you will strengthen it in a certain place and protect it from kinking and further tearing. But this will not prevent the wire from being damaged in other places. You can also put on a spring and then use heat shrink tubing in the gap zone. This combination will provide additional hardening.

5. Protector

Since cable damage is a very common problem, special devices have been invented to protect the wires. In fact, they are needed to prevent ruptures, but they are also suitable in case of wiping that has already begun. On the same AliExpress, for the request "cable protector" or "cable protector", you can find many options for such devices: both for chargers and for headphones. Basically, they are designed to protect the most fragile part of the wire - one of its ends, but there are options for strengthening the entire cable.

Damaged chargers and earbuds can last for some more time if you use any of these methods. This is especially true if buying a new cable is quite expensive: for example, a charger for a MacBook.

Create 10 Differences!

The plugs are similar to each other, like twin penguins. Therefore, climbing under the table in order to pull out one plug and stick another in its place, you run the risk of de-energizing an unsuitable device. In order not to accidentally disconnect the grandfather's pacemaker from the power supply, mark each of the plugs in advance, indicating its purpose on it.

Briefly about the long

The longer the wire, the easier it is to get tangled. Take away the extra centimeters with ordinary cardboard or any other suitable material (even gold will do) by constructing a bone-shaped shortener out of it (Fig. 1). Excess cord will be wrapped around the middle of the cord, and grooves along the edges will hold the cord in place.

You can apply the same principle to overly long headphone cords that snake around the table, fall into your lap and get tangled in the chair legs. To shorten them, for a change, you can use an unnecessary plastic card by cutting out such a figure from it (Fig. 2).

Don't let him go!

As you know from own experience, cords that are not inserted into the slots have a habit of sliding off the table just at the moment when they are finally needed. To stop this, you need to get rid of the desk or use a paper clip. Detach one of its squiggles (Fig. 1), pass a wire through it and insert it back into the grooves (Fig. 2). Now attach the clip to any suitable stable item on your desk (fig. 3).

Drawer game

The earth hides the doctor's mistakes, the cook's mistakes mayonnaise, and your spaghetti from the wires will be hidden from the eyes of a box. It doesn't matter whether it is a plastic box from IKEA, an old suitcase, a coffin or a cake package. The algorithm of your actions is the same. Cut a hole in one of the box walls for a power strip, and in the other - four (five, six) holes, from which the wires of the devices connected to it will come out (Fig. 1). Install the extension cord inside, connect all the necessary cords to it and store all the remnants of the wires in the same place. Close the lid (fig. 2). Admire.
