ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is not a phone for small hands; the device is quite large and not very convenient to operate with one hand. Externally, it very much resembles the iPhone 7, especially from the back. This is largely due to the dual camera module in the upper left corner.

Inside there is an IMX362 sensor on the main lens. Its optics are responsible for 2x zoom; after a closer approach, the camera switches to software zoom. It looks very cool, and the clarity of small details is not lost even at maximum magnification.

Conclusion: an excellent camera phone, only if you are not bothered by its dimensions.

Having a dual photo module does not mean amazing photo quality. Xiaomi Mi5s completely proves this. In daylight, a smartphone with a single photo module showed its best performance, paying attention to small details and white balance.

There are small problems with shooting video at night, but this is not critical. This kind of distortion occurs on almost all devices in this price category. For smoother operation, we recommend using manual mode.
