To install an update to the 1C 8.3 or 8.2 platform, you must first decide in which mode the work takes place - in file or client-server mode:

  • In file mode, it is enough to update client computers with 1C with one distribution;
  • In the client-server version, you will need to install different distributions on the server and client machines.

The process of updating the 1C platform itself is no different from a regular installation - you don’t even have to go to the database configurator. Consider where to get the installation files and how to install each of the options yourself.

When you purchase a licensed copy of a product on the 1C:Enterprise platform, the package includes a disk with distributions of the program, but most likely this disk will contain the previous version of the platform. Because 1C 8.3 platform updates have been released quite often lately, manufacturers do not have time to write new versions in a timely manner, distribute them to sellers, and even after the release of a new version, these kits lose their relevance.

Client 1C update

Update 1C on the server

In the case of updating in the client-server version, it is similarly required to install a local instance of the platform on all computers from which access to the database is required, and it is also necessary to install the server part of the program on the application server. Also, to work in this mode, you need an installed and running DBMS supported by the 1C platform, such as:

  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Oracle Database
  • PostgreSQL
  • IBM DB2

Updating the DBMS itself, as a rule, is not required.

Updating the 1C platform on the server is similar to installing a local instance on workstations, however, in the component selection list, you must allow the installation of "1C: Enterprise Server" and "1C: Enterprise Server Administration"

Also, after choosing the interface language, you must specify in what form the server part of the 1C platform will be installed: as a separate application, or as a MS Windows service. It is recommended to install the system exactly as a service; for this, you must additionally specify the user on behalf of which this service will be launched. Or it is possible to create a separate user to run the 1C server part.

After successful installation, you will also need to install the application solution, create and connect infobases, and activate licenses.

The procedure for updating the 1C database requires certain knowledge and skills in handling a computer, so it is often difficult for the user. Therefore, if possible, it is best.

There are several ways to get the files necessary for updating:
- firstly, the latest updates are available on the site users.v8.1c.ru, access to which you get when concluding an agreement for ITS (information technology support);
- secondly, you can update 1C via the Internet, for this you need to have registration data (login and password).

This article describes how to update the configuration when downloading update files, but you can use this article to update the program via the Internet. To do this, skip step 2, and when performing step 4, check the box 9 and uncheck the box 8, and then enter your login and password.

ATTENTION! If your configuration was finalized by 1C programmers, it is not recommended to update on your own, because. this can lead to errors and even loss of data.

This article is an instruction for updating 1C:Enterprise 8.3 configurations. So, let's start in order.

1. First of all, create a copy of your database. you can read about . If you have a backup, in case something goes wrong, you can always return to the starting point and either start the process again or use the services of a 1C programmer.

2. Now we proceed directly to the update. Open the directory with the update, run the setup.exe file and install the update in the default directory.

3. Run the configurator (actions 1 and 2 in the figure). Select a user with administrative rights (step 3 in the figure).

In the Configurator window, go to the menu ConfigurationSupportUpdate configuration(action 4 in the figure).

If step 4 is not available, then you must first open the configuration (step 5) and then repeat step 4.

In the window that opens, select the item "Search for available updates (recommended)" and click the "Next" button (steps 6, 7).

4. In the window that opens for selecting the type of update source, check the boxes as shown in the figure (steps 8 and 9). Click the "Next" button (step 10).

If you update the program via the Internet, then you must uncheck the box 8 and check the box 9.

5. After a short pause, a window of available updates opens. Select the configuration version number and click the "Finish" button (steps 11 and 12 in the figure).

6. Next, the program will ask you questions that you need to answer "Yes", "Accept" and "Continue". When updating the database configuration, a window will be displayed to accept the changes. You must click the "Accept" button (step 13).

7. After that, it remains only to start the regulated data processing in user mode. To do this, close the configurator and run the program in the "Enterprise" mode (ie, as usual). The program needs to run the program under a user with administrative rights.

8. When you start the program, you will be asked a question about the legality of the received update, to which we will answer by performing steps 14 and 15 as in the figure.

9. If the screen displays information about configuration changes, then your configuration has been updated.

3. If there is a more current version than the installed one, the application will display its current number. Below there will be a link “New in this version”, by clicking on which you can familiarize yourself with the changes made in detail. Click on the "Next" sign.

4. The download of the update package from the 1C site will begin. This procedure may take some time, depending on the size of the distribution. After the download is completed, click the “Next” button to continue the procedure.

5. To start the process of installing a new version of 1C: Accounting 8.3, it will ask for a username and password of a user with administrator rights. The default value has the name “Administrator” and an empty field for the password. Make your choice and click “OK” to continue. If the values ​​of these fields have been changed before, you must enter a valid password and username with administrator status.

6. Next, a window will appear asking you to install the update right now or when you finish working with the program. Click on the link below “Create a backup” In addition, the application will request a restart. If you select the second item, the program will offer to update as soon as you try to close it at the end of the work.

7. After that, a search window will open and install updates, in which the radio button should be in the item “Perform the installation of updates right now”. Once again, check everything and click the “Next” button.

8. The update process will begin, which will take some time (it may take an hour or more). Everything will depend on the amount of changes made in the new version. You must wait for it to complete.

10. At the end of the successful update procedure, a window will open with the inscription “Update was successful”. It remains to click the “Finish” button and start using the application updated to the latest version.

If the upgrade process to the new version fails. This can be caused by a number of reasons: a failure in the operating system, problems during download and installation with power supply, data loss during download.

To update (install) the technological platform, you need to download the update distribution package. To do this, go to the Software Update page on the Information Technology Support Portal website by clicking the Learn More button in the Software Update section (Fig. 1).

On the "1C: Software Update" page, by clicking the "Download software update" button, you need to go to the authorization parameters and enter your login and password (Fig. 2).


How can I find out the current version of the platform?

This can be done as shown in Fig.3.

In the window that opens the list of available products for download, select the "Technological platform 8.3" section, then the platform version (according to the example 8.3.6.2299). Next, you need to select the item “Technological platform 1C: Enterprise for Windows”, and click on the hyperlink “Download distribution kit” (Fig. 3).

How to find out your version of the 1C:Primary platform?

Open the program. Click Help / About… Your platform version is shown in parentheses next to the logo:


Creating an infobase backup

Before updating the platform, all users must complete work with the program. Next, go to 1C:Primary in the "Configurator" mode, and unload the database (Fig. 3.1):

Save to any location on your hard drive. (Figure 3.2)

Tip: create a folder "Archive copies" or "Backup", where you will always save a backup copy of the database before updating. Specify the save date in the file name (this will make it easier to find the right copy of the database, if necessary).

If you managed to download 1C:Primary of the required version, you need to unzip the platform files. Next, you need to install the platform by clicking on the setup.exe file in the unzipped folder (Fig. 4).

To start installing the platform (according to the example 1C:Primary 8.3), you need to click the "Next" button (Fig. 5).

At the next step, the composition of the platform components and the installation folder are selected. The composition of the components does not need to be changed, it is recommended to install 1C:Pіdpriєmstvo in the default folder. After selection, you must click "Next" (Fig. 6).

Next, you need to select the installation language (Russian/Ukrainian), or set the value to "System settings", in which case 1C:Primary will be installed in the language of the operating system. After selection, you must click the "Next" button (Fig. 7).

Now everything is ready to start the installation. You must click the "Install" button (Fig. 8).

After installation, at the last step, the system will offer to install the protection key driver.

It is needed only if hardware protection is used, i.e. USB HASP key. If a software license without a USB HASP dongle is used, the flag must be cleared.

Also, if a USB HASP security key is used and the platform is being updated rather than installing for the first time, then installation of the security driver is not required, since it is already installed along with an older platform release. To continue the installation, click the "Next" button (Fig. 10).

After a window appears with a notification about the completion of the installation, you need to click the "Finish" button (Fig. 11).

Update platform version 8.2 (file version) infobase

Important! This action must be carried out at all workplaces where 1C: Enterprise 8.2 is used

How to automatically update 1C? This question worries many unprepared and sometimes even qualified IT specialists. The 1C automatic update mechanism is designed for different categories of users. Among them can be both untrained users and administrators of implementations.


The work scenario for unprepared users implies the installation and implementation of updates with a minimum number of mouse clicks and without specific IT skills. The administrator scenario is more complex. It can include delayed installation and flexible settings.

The functional properties of the update mechanism are as follows:

  1. Auto. Requires virtually no configuration and user experience.
  2. Customizable. The user can override the default settings.
  3. Transactional. The property implies a rollback of the system in case of incorrect installation.
  4. Audited. In the event of an error, the user will promptly learn about it and influence the course of the update.

Getting updates using the Internet

To do this, you must visit the website of the update provider. If an update is available, the assistant will tell you the version number (for example, automatic platform update 1s 8 3), a brief description and size, and then prompt you to install it. Don't forget to enter your username and password if the supplier's site requires authorization. It may take a long time to receive the update files, but this should not be a cause for concern.

Installing updates

Install as the current user. The assistant sometimes asks for a password if it is necessary to access the infobase. Sometimes it is required to enter the login and password of the server cluster administrator. Be sure to create a backup copy of the infobase before starting the update. This will help restore data if an emergency occurs.

After clicking on the "Next" button, the assistant will begin an interactive installation of an automated configuration update. This process can also take a long time. It all depends on the amount of data and the characteristics of the machine.

If we are dealing with a client-server system deployment option, then it is possible to set a deferred update. To do this, you need to tell the update mechanism the desired date and time. But for this, it is necessary that the power of the computer be turned on at the specified date and time.

Diagnosis of emergency situations

Records of all operations and errors that have occurred are automatically placed in the infobase registration log. During the installation of updates in the user's temporary folder, the system creates a log file that contains records of the progress of the update. Its contents then end up in the log. The last directory, which looks like %temp%\1CUpdate., corresponds to the latest updated version. The results of the update are also written to the system event log. An e-mail notification of an update can be arranged upon request.

Implementation in configuration

A demo engine configuration exists as a distribution file. This allows you to supply any application configuration as a support. This file can also be considered as a kind of "library".

Checking and receiving updates occur as a result of interaction with the provider's website. The public domain portion of the site gives you anonymous access to information about updates. But access to the products themselves often requires logging into the site. This is how the full path to the update file may look like, containing the open and closed parts of the site: http://downloads.v8.1c.ru/tmplts/1с/Accounting/2_0_32_6/1cv8.zip .

Update file format

UpdInfo.txt- a file with information about the update. It contains the options described below.
  1. version. The version number of the update.
  2. FromVersions. List of 1C versions covered by this update.
  3. Various options that are not used by the update mechanism.

Example UpdInfo.txt. The figure shows examples of the contents of such files.

So, to get and install updates via the Internet, follow these steps:

  • Upload files to a web server. They should have a directory structure that matches the templates directory, and the directory named 1c.ru is determined by the "open" part of the site. Also with the downloads directory, it corresponds to the part of the site that requires authorization. The web server was never included in the distribution of the demo configuration, please note this. Next, in the module that is being overridden (named "Configuration Update"), specify the addresses of both parts of the site. Create a version 1.0.0.0 configuration distribution source file and add two incremental updates to it: 1.0.1.1 and 1.1.2.3.
  • Change the configuration version to 1.0.1.1 and create the distribution (cf) and update (cfu) files.
  • When creating the update file, specify the previous delivery file version 1.0.0.0.
  • Save the update file to the \downloads\tmplts\1c\AutoUpdate\1_0_1_1 directory.

Note: in order not to forget addresses, passwords and logins, create a text document on your desktop containing these data. This will make it easier for you to manage the automatic update process. It will also significantly reduce the likelihood of an emergency situation (some of these situations have been described above).

How to implement an update?

To implement the 1C update, you need to perform a number of simple steps:

  1. provide preconditions under which it will be possible to fully implement the library into the configuration;
  2. transfer objects metadata items from the required configuration;
  3. verify correct implementation.

To check the correctness in the file version, organize the update using .cf file A that is a copy of the saved configuration. In a situation with a client-server option, update this file in two modes: right now and deferred mode.
