Начиная с этой статьи, я попробую познакомить пользователей сайта не только с антивирусными программами компании, но и с теми, которые выпускаются отдельно или входят в стандартный пакет, и начну обзор с safezone browser.
С недавнего времени Avast SafeZone Browser, хоть и входит в официальные пакеты платных антивирусов, устанавливается отдельно от основного интерфейса программы, и имеет свой собственный значок на Рабочем столе. А в последней выпущенной beta-версии 2016.11.2.2262, safezone browser, уже включен в бесплатный Free Antivirus. К сожалению, как и некоторые разработки AVAST Software, в браузере, были заметны недоработки. К ним относится и дублирование значка на Рабочем столе, и подвисание компьютера, когда ЦП зашкаливала к 100 %. И если проблема дублирования значка решена в последней beta-версии, то скачки в процессоре – на некоторых ОС так и остались.
Здесь нужно сказать, что как и многие компании выпускающие программы для ОС Windows, Avast, старается заточить свои продукты под Win10, и это плохо сказывается на тех пользователях, у которых стоит система XP, Vista или Win8.1 или тех, кто имеет устаревшее оборудование и небольшую ОП. Из-за этого некоторое время назад весь Интернет заполонили поисковые запросы пользователей, например такие «как удалить safezone browser». Удалить браузер как раз не проблема. Как и все продукты компании, удаление компонентов программы происходит через «Панель управления», далее «Установка и удаление», выбираете Avast и нажимаем кнопочку «Изменить/Удалить». Далее снимаете с «SafeZone Browser» галочку и перезагружаете ПК.
Но даже тем пользователям, которые имеют проблемные системы, я бы не советовал удалять браузер. Потому что главная его функция – безопасность при оплате в сети, разработчиками решена. Браузер можно установить только с антивирусным продуктом Аваст, ссылка на загрузку Free Antivirus Avast находится в конце обзора. Отдельно скачать SafeZone Browser как самостоятельный браузер нет возможности но в будущем когда он наберет популярность, все возможно.
Запуская браузер, вы увидите стандартный браузер на платформе Chromium, минимизированный, но имеющий такие же настройки, которые присутствуют во всех популярных браузерах. Кроме всего прочего, в него включен безопасный режим, несколько блокировщиков рекламы, загрузчик видеофайлов, Online Security, Avast пароли и Включение режима безопасных платежей. Функцию Avast пароли, следует активировать в интерфейсе антивируса, без этого она работать не будет. А если нужно использовать режим безопасных платежей, то следует просто нажать на кнопку, стилизованную под кредитную карточку, и ваши финансовые операции будут изолированы от остальной системы ПК.
Именно поэтому я бы советовал, оставить safezone browser на своём ПК. Так как браузер находится в стандартном пакете антивируса, то скачать вы его можете вместе с финальной версией или APA, или AIS, или AP.
На прошлой неделе сотрудник Google Project Zero Тевис Орманди (Tavis Ormandy) уже защищенный браузер Chromodo, который компания Comodo поставляет вместе со своей антивирусной продукцией. Теперь пришла очередь браузера Avast SafeZone, также известного как Avastium.
Avastrum
Похоже, Орманди решил всерьез пройтись по безопасности браузеров. Как показывают результаты его изысканий: не зря. Собственный форк Chromium, созданный компанией Avast, оказался даже хуже , чем Chromodo, отключавший Same Origin Policy.
Avastium предлагается платным пользователям антивируса Avast Antivirus 2016, но он вряд ли может предложить им дополнительную защиту. Эксперт установил, что злоумышленник может успешно извлечь из браузера историю, пароли и прочую конфиденциальную информацию, которую хранит приложение.
Основная проблема заключается в том, что пользователю необязательно работать с браузером: атаку можно осуществить на компьютер, на котором Avastium попросту установлен. Дело в том, что злоумышленник может передать вредоносную команду RPC endpoint, которая оставлена в коде браузера открытой. Команда может являться частью вредоносного кода JavaScript, который может исполняться на машине жертвы локально. Это позволит добраться до открытой RPC endpoint, даже если сам Avastium не был запущен, а вредоносную ссылку открыли в другом приложении.
And yet another case of forking Chromium for "security" because of your virus expertise. Seriously, you"re going to screw it up.
Оказывается, разработчики Avast серьезно покопались в коде Chromium. В частности, Chromium позволяет открывать через командную строку только WebSafe URL, то есть ссылки, начинающиеся с http, https, javascript и так далее. В Avastium этим почему-то решили поступиться, браузер допускает также открытие ссылок, начинающихся с «file://», а это огромная проблема.
Для продолжения атаки злоумышленнику даже не понадобится дополнительная малварь: браузер Avast хранит все данные в открытом виде, так что главное – знать, что у жертвы установлен Avastium.
«Хотя атака производится именно на Avastium, жертва не обязана его использовать, ни в момент атаки, ни в целом. Дело в том, что ваш профиль автоматически импортируется из Chrome, еще при установке Avastium», - пишет Орманди.
Исследователь добавляет, что SafeZone «заимствует» данные Chrome о закладках, настройках, куки и паролях автоматически, не уведомляя об этом пользователя.
Эксперт объясняет, что, фактически, злоумышленник способен получить доступ к файловой системе жертвы, если та просто кликнет по вредоносной ссылке. Не понадобится даже знать точное расположение конкретных файлов, потому как с помощью данной атаки можно также получить и перечень файлов каталога.
Плюс ко всему, злоумышленник может послать жертве произвольный авторизованный HTTP-запрос, что позволит ему добраться до куки жертвы, её почты, позволит взаимодействовать с онлайновым банкингом и так далее.
В качестве наглядного доказательства дырявости Avastium Орманди создал proof-of-concept страницу , где можно проверить браузер на уязвимость.
Специалисты Avast уже выпустили Avast 2016 build 2016.11.1.2253 , исправляющий найденные экспертом проблемы.
Steam
Начинанием Орманди вдохновился другой исследователь, тоже решивший проверить безопасность браузеров. Он начал с браузера, встроенного в официальный клиент Steam. Это еще один форк Chromium, проблем у которого обнаружилось ничуть не меньше, чем у его «защищенных» коллег по рынку.
Пользователь GitHub под ником ekaris пишет , что в клиенте Steam используется устаревшая версия Chromium: тогда как новейший релиз - v50, Steam использует v47. Хотя можно заметить, что сообщение было опубликовано на странице «Steam Client for Linux», аналогичная проблема наблюдается у клиентов для Windows и Mac. Как не трудно догадаться, устаревшая версия означает незакрытые уязвимости.

Avast SafeZone (sometimes also misspelled as Safe Zone ) is a free browser from Avast based on Opera and running on Chromium engine. It comes as a component (not a standalone application) with all Avast antivirus versions (Free Antivirus, Pro Antivirus, Internet Security and Premier) available on Windows computers. According to Avast, it’s the most secure browser on the market.
SafeZone browser is basically replacing old SafeZone feature within the Avast paid products and is available completely for free to anyone . The main benefit of using the SafeZone browser is the Pay Mode for private online transactions (banking and shopping). It also includes useful built-in plugins like Passwords, Ad Blocker, Video Downloader or Do-Not-Track. Unfortunately, you are not able to install any other plugins or add-ons, due to security risks.

How to Download and Install Avast SafeZone Browser for Free
IMPORTANT NOTE Avast SafeZone Browser has been discontinued and replaced with the brand new Avast Secure Browser in April 2018. You can download it using the button below or .The only way to download and install Avast SafeZone is together with the Avast antivirus (including the free version). Technically it’s only a component of Avast, therefore it’s not available for separate download or usage. You can only use it together with Avast.
To download and install SafeZone browser follow these steps:

Once the installation process is finished you can open the SafeZone browser from the desktop (orange circle icon with rudder) or from Avast user interface under ‘Tools ‘ » ‘SafeZone Browser ‘.

Using various available tools for browser performance testing we found out following. Chrome (green bar) is still the fastest browser on the market, scoring high scores in all tests. While SafeZone (orange bar) is the second fastest browser nowadays. Firefox is somehow behind them and Internet Explorer is by far the slowest one.

Ad Blocker – No More Advertisements While Browsing
One of the pre-installed built-in plugins is Ad Blocker . Recently it raised some controversy whether it’s fair to use it and some sites even restricted content to users who are using any form of ad blocking. On the image below you can see Ad Blocker blocked 12 different ads on Huffington Post site.
Ad Blocker in Avast SafeZone runs fully automatic and there is no need to set it up. Just browse the web as usual and all ads are blocked. To see the number of ads blocked click on the red icon ‘AD’ in the navigation panel. You can also disable Ad Block for a specific domain or block any other specific ad (element) on the page.
Pay Mode – Do Your Banking & Shopping in Total Privacy
The most interesting and unique feature of the SafeZone browser is Pay Mode . It basically opens any page in a virtual environment (sandbox) which is completely isolated from your system. That means any keylogger or hacker cannot see what you are doing or what is your password. Also, your system can’t be infected if you visit some ‘shady’ site.
Pay Mode is automatically triggered for a majority of the online banking sites. In case your bank is not on the list you can always enter Pay Mode by clicking the credit card icon next to the navigation panel (top-right corner). You can tell the page is opened in Pay Mode if the tab has green credit card icon and font.
Video Downloader – Download Videos From YouTube With Single Click
Last but not least is the Video Downloader , again a pre-installed built-in plugin. It makes it super easy to download videos to your computer from popular servers like YouTube or Vimeo. Mostly in the MP4 format.
To download video simple hover over it and the orange download icon will appear (see the screenshot above). Simply click on it and video will start downloading on your computer so you can play it anytime later, even when you are offline.
Avast SafeZone Browser Review & Test Conclusion
We definitely find Avast SafeZone browser powerful, fast and secure . Pay Mode is the biggest advantage and technically it makes the browser really the most secure one on the market. It lacks some customization like custom plugins, but that makes it even more secured. It’s a perfect choice for common Internet users. And if you like Opera, you will definitely love SafeZone.

All of them are testing browser performance and speed using various methods like re-sizing 2D/3D objects using CSS, executing JavaScripts, GPU and DOM tests. All tests were performed on the same computer running on Windows 7 Professional x64 with CPU Intel Core i7 @ 2.70GHz and 8 GB RAM.

SafeZone - браузер от Avast. Является доверенным приложением. Устанавливается на ПК автоматически с антивирусными продуктами компании - Premier, Internet Security, Pro. Его нельзя удалить штатными средствами Windows (через Панель управления) и программами-деинсталляторами, так как он встроен в оболочку антивируса.
Чтобы полностью удалить Avast SafeZone Browser из системы, необходимо задействовать опции установленного антивирусника.
1. Кликните: Пуск → Панель управления → Удаление программы.
2. Клацните левой кнопкой по антивирусному приложению.
3. Нажмите функцию «Удалить» (расположена вверху над списком ПО).
4. Подождите немного. В открывшейся панели «Установка… » нажмите кнопку «Изменить».
5. В перечне компонентов снимите галочку возле «Браузер SafeZone».
Совет! Таким же образом вы можете избавиться и от других компонентов. Например, от Secure DNS (альтернативного DNS-сервера).
6. Клацните кнопку «Изменить», чтобы удалить браузер.
7. По завершении очистки щёлкните «Перезагрузить компьютер».
Всё! Деинсталляция завершена. Ярлык и все остальные файлы SafeZone Browser встроенный деинсталлятор антивируса нейтрализовал автоматически.
